Photos messed up in my catalog now that I'm using Trial of LR5

I recently started a trial of LR5. I chose to update my LR4 catalog to be used in LR5, but first I copied the whole Lightroom folder for back-up. So several of my photos in the updated catalog are messed up and say their's an error accessing them. So I went back to the LR4 catalog and opened it in my LR4 program. Now they are messed up. Originals aren't available, just the photos that I have adjusted, and only the adjusted copy of it, not able to reset back to original.

And what happens when I do return to LR4? because LR5 updated my catalog and now it is no longer able to be opened in LR4.
Your Lightroom 4 catalog has not been changed in any way. It's still there for you to use in Lightroom 4.
There are photos that were in my catalog before that now appear largely pixelated and receive the errors shown below.
At this time, I only have a guess. It may be that your hard disk is having problems, and Lightroom can no longer read the file from the disk. If LR4 gives you the same problem on the same photo, then I would think you have a hard disk issue. But like I said, that's a guess

iPhoto and Aperture are having an inconsistent terminology:

iPhoto's events correspond to "Projects" in Aperture.
Albums and smart albums are called the same in both applications.
iPhoto Projects (books, cards,.. ) are "Products" in Aperture.

Your events should show as projects in Aperture and your albums as abums.You should not need to do any moving around, but betetr do not delete any photo anywhere in aperture, until you are sure about the storage structure.
Like in iPhoto, there are library items that contain the images (events in iPhoto, projects in Aperture). Each photo is in exactly one project in Aperture. And there are library items, that can referenced the same photo in its project, without duplicating or storing it, albums ans smart albums.

It is your choice there is no requirements to have the software still installed on your computer.

Right click on the .exe file and select run as admin. This will allow it to run all the processes it needs and should help it work. If the problem is not fixed you should try waiting till a new update, that often fixes ios issues.
On other problem could be a hardware issue, try a new cable and use it in a different USB socket.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

IMessage doing odd things now that I am using MacBookPro too.

I just purchased a new MacBookPro (Feb 2015) and I use an iPhone 5S. I use iMessage 100%. When my MacBook was finished with the updates I saw that I can now iMessage without looking at my phone when I am working.. Great thing in my world...so I started using it immediately. Now I am getting some odd behaviors that I need to correct.
Within my close circle of friends/family that I message with constantly (all iPhones) I see the messages on the MacBook correctly, but any group message shows as a new "unknown" group message on my phone. If I try to reply within that "unknown" group I cannot. the button is grayed out. I must go down to the original group and reply there. The original group does not show the rest of the conversation.... only this new "unknown" group.
iMessage has always worked without issue for me. This started the moment that I started using iMessage on my MacBook.
I know I could just disable it on my MacBook...but I love the idea of the feature and would rather make it work correctly.
iPhone is updated as of 2/11/15
MacBookPro updated at same time.

It sounds like you're using iMessages on your iPhone and MacBook Pro, but group messages on your iPhone are not working as expected.
Since the unexpected behavior happens on your iPhone, I recommend starting with these steps from the troubleshooting article below:
Restart your device and check for updates
Restart your device.
Check for a carrier settings update.
Check for an iOS software update.
Turn iMessage off and back on
Go to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off, then back on.
Sign out and back in to iMessage and FaceTime
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
On your iPhone first, sign back in to iMessage and Facetime.
Sign back in to iMessage and Facetime on your other devices.
Reset your network settings
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Now that my PSE 11 trial has ended, I can't see any of the photos/albums/layouts I made in PSE 9.

I simply can't afford the upgrade at this time, but I did a lot of stuff during the month I used the trial and don't want to lose it all!

In E11, one can't open Elements Organizer too after the trial has expired.

Is anyone having problems sending files from SendNow now that they've used Send?

I sent a couple files in Send and now I cannot send files in SendNow. It tells me to check my internet connection and that it cannot send the files. I've reset the internet connection and it still does not work. I even tried send a file through Send and it worked fine, but when I went back into SendNow I got the same message. Are other people having issues with this? Any suggestions?

It is very strange because I've always used Google Chrome to use SendNow
and I've never had a problem until this morning after trying Send. I went
it and tried it in Firefox and it worked fine, but still doesn't in Chrome.
Not sure what happened because I used Send in Chrome and it worked fine.

How do I remove OS 9 completely now that I am using Tiger exclusively?

I have updated all my software to OS X and don't boot Classic at all ... I just want to remove it and can't find anywhere that details what to do. I tried just removing the system folder, but was warned that it contained items in use ... can I just remove the files that say classic from these files and that's it? Why do I need both System and System folder files? I just want to clean up and get some free space wherever possible ...

You might get some permissions error by trying to delete the two folders.
In order to avoid this, first: open up the System Folder and trash all its contents.
Restart the computer. Trash the files that are in the Trash. Then, trash the actual System Folder and the folder Applications (Mac OS 9).
DO NOT mess with the folder titled System. This is Mac OS X and fooling around with it could render you with an unbootable system.

Now that I'm using Match, how do I get music off my iPhone?

I've got Match enabled on my Mac, iPad 2, and iPhone 4. I have a bunch of music on my phone from before I enabled Match (about 8 GB worth) that I would now like to delete all at once. I'd rather keep the drive space free and just dl matched songs as needed. When I try to manage the music on the phone in my iTunes window, though, there doesn't seem to be a way to do it anymore.When I select the Music tab on my iPhone while using iTunes, I am presented with a window that says "iTunes Match is On." Any thoughts on what I need to do here?

You can go to settings>general>usage click on music and then swipe across the music and a delete button will appear.
Press the delete button and your music should delete.
You cannot manually manage your music from the computer and have itunes match going also.
You either have to have match working on your phone or be syncing the old way. You cannot have both right now.

Can I delete OS 9 now that I am using OS X 10.4.5

I am currently upgraded to OS X 10.4.5 and can no longer return to the classic mode of OS 9. To free up RAM can I now delete OS 9 from my computer? Thank you for your advise. - Mark

None of my CS6 apps will update now that I am using CC and the newest Adobe Manager

I had been using CS6 Master Suite for months then decided that I'd like to use the CC for which I purchased a membership. I have successfully downloaded, installed and ran several of the CC apps. I have the new CC Adobe Manager in place and have been notified that there are updates for both CC and CS6 apps. I have been able to update all CC apps but none of the CS6 apps are updating and giving me an error message: "Errors encountered during installation. (U44M1P7) More details.". I click on more details and am provided a finder window "Installers" and many "...log.gz" files. At that point I am unable to go any further for lack of knowledge. Can anyone here help?
