Photos not showing up in photo stream after being imported to iPhoto from a DSLR camera?

I have a DSLR camera and for the longest time, I would import photos from a shoot to iPhoto and after about 20 minutes they would have all shown up in my photo stream on my Mac and my iPhone. But recently, the photos will not show up on either photo stream and trying to share a new photo stream with myself never works. Help?

Photo Stream photos not showing up in Photos Collections

I've noticed on my iPhone 5s, many photos from Photo Stream are not appearing in the "Photos" tab where I can view photos by year, collections, moments, etc. I have many Photo Stream photos appearing, but it is sporadic.
On my iPad, all Photo Stream photos appear in the Photos tab just fine.
I've attached a screen shot from each of my devices as an example. Both devices are pulling from the same Photo Stream, so theoretically, they should be showing the same photos. My iPad shows 10 photos. My iPhone shows 2 (shows 3 in the screen grab because one is a video).
How can I force the Photos tab to update to reflect all the photos in my Photo Stream?

I FIGURED OUT THE ISSUE. But no resolution.
It appears that my iPhone 5s's Photos tab only shows Photo Stream photos of photos RECEIVED from other devices, but not Photo Stream photos of photos that ORIGINATED on my iPhone. Does this make sense? Here's an example:
1) Take Photo A on iPhone
2) Take Photo B on iPad
3) Allow Photo A and Photo B to upload to Photo Stream
4) See Photo A and B in Photo Stream on both devices
5) See Photo A and B in Photos tab on both devices.
6) Delete the camera roll copy of Photo A from the iPhone.
7) Photo A is now MISSING from the Photos tab of iPhone, but is still viewable in iPhone Photo Stream
THUS = Photos tab is not accessing Photo Stream
I can replicate this on my iPad
4) See Photo A and B in Photo Stream on both devices
5) See Photo A and B in Photos tab on both devices.
6) Delete the camera roll copy of Photo B from the iPad.
7) Photo B is now MISSING from the Photos tab of iPad, but is still viewable in iPad Photo Stream
This appears to be some way to prevent duplications on your local device. Apple doesn't want you to see the Photo Stream copy and the Camera Roll copy BOTH in the Photos tab. However, if you delete the Camera Roll copy, the Photo Stream copy DOES NOT appear in the Photos tab. This is dumb because I delete the Camera Roll copy as soon as it finishes uploading to Photo Stream. There is no reason to keep both copies on your iOS device. However, now I can't enjoy the Photo Stream photos in the Photos tab.

Photos not showing up in iMovie project after transferring project to external hard drive

I just finished moving my iMovie '11 projects and events to an external hard drive. In one particular project (the only one I've used photos in), the photos will not play back when I watch it in the preview window. The picture shows up in the project editing window, but during playback the computer seems to use the last frame of the last played video. All of the previous settings are the same, it will just not show the pictures. I've tried re-inserting them, even trying different pictures that were not used originally, but nothing seems to work. I've also tried closing iMovie and restarting it, but no luck.

I am having the same problem - all a bit wierd. Yesterday I could drag and drop images from finder into my project. Today, I can drag andf drop the images from finder and they display in the project - but not when it is played.
I tried importing the images into iphoto and dragging them from the media selection window - still no joy - I can see them in the proejct - but they just don't show when played.
Is it because the project has been marked as finished in some way - although I haven't finalised it?

I tried uploading photos from the new year, but they are only showing up under "last imported" and "last 12 months" etc... They won't show up under the "photos" section.. They stop on Dec. 31, 2013.. How do I get my pics from the new year to show up? (using iPhoto)

If the photos are in last import then they are in you library - last import is not a place - it is a view of photos in your library - you can also view these photos ine vents and in photos
The most common cause of your not finding them is an incorrect sort (view menu ==> sort photos) or incorrect date settings on your camera

I've been experiencing the same problem. Both new and old web journals do not display properly. Most photos are gray squares, but if I hit refresh I am sometimes able to partially view the album. This problem occurs both within iPhoto and in various web browsers.

Printer does not show up in dialog box after being added

I've done this a million times, but for some reason today after I add a printer it doesn't show up in my list in Print & Fax dialog of system prefs. It shows up when I try to print from all my applications, just not in my add/delete printer list. anyone know what is going on? I also have a co-worker with the same problem. He has added the same xerox printer 3 times, now in his print window there are 3 listed, but none show up in the add/delete printer window.

Try this:
1. Open System Preferences
2. Click Print & Fax
3. If you see your printer on the left then highlight it and then click the - at the bottom of the box to remove it.
If you do not see it the progress to step 4.
4. Click the + at the bottom of the box and the computer will begin looking for connected printers. Once found follow the onscreen instructions. If you cannot locate it then trouble shoot by ensuring the printer is turned on, has a good connection to the computer and if it's still not seen then replace the printer cable and try again.
There probably isn't any reason to use the software that came with printer.

Vertical pictures become horizontal after being imported

I imported pictures directly from my picture folder. I need the vertical pictures to stay vertical, but many of them, not all of them, become horizontal after being imported into iMovie 06. How do I correct this?

Why some photos do not show up in the widgets after final export?

Why do I have a problem with the FeatureD News Widget not showing all my photos? I have tried redoing it many times over in different formats and all but one photo never shows up in the final export. Please I need help to finish up the website.

If I understand this correctly, you are reporting that you have images in your Featured News' target frames and some of those photos do not show up in the published site.
If so, I would like you to confirm if the widget works fine in Preview within Muse? Are the images missing in all browsers, even after clearing the browser cache? Can you provide a link to a published site? If required I may also request your source Muse file to investigate further.

Mountain Lion, photos are not showing up in photo stream

I recently installed Mountain Lion, now photos are not showing up in photo stream on the computer. What should I do?

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

Can anybody help with this problem please?
In iphotos when i select photos on the left hand menu it shows 1489 photos which i presume is the content of photo stream. if I select photo stream on my iphone its only shows 219 photos so i obviously cant see all my photos. ive searched various different sources for the answer to this but still cant seem to work it out.
I would be grateful for any help with this.

Do you mean "Photos" in the "Library" section of the source list in iPhoto?
That is not the Photo Stream, it is a view, that is showing all photos in your iPhoto library. The Photo Stream is in the "Shared" section of your iPhoto Library - click the iCloud" icon.
The Photo Stream will not show all your photos, only what is currently stored in iCloud. The stream holds only the photos you uploaded during the last month, and only the last 1000 images.

ICloud photos not showing in my iPhoto library

I'm really having trouble understanding the relationship among iPhoto, iCloud, and Photo Streams. I want to have all my photos show up in my iPhoto library. They always did. However, a few weeks ago (while traveling and adding a lot of photos), I began to not see all my photos in my library. In fact, when I look at "Events" there are greyed out boxes that have the date photos were taken, it indicates that there are 0 photos, and there is a shades-of-grey icon that has a palm tree and horizon. I had never seen this before. Some of my photos from my travel ended up in my library just fine. Others are in limbo. I found the others in My Photo Stream, but I can't figure out how to add them to the library, where they belong.
When I show Package Contents from Home>Pictures>iPhoto Library, all the pictures are there. They are just not showing up in iPhoto. I have quit and restarted iPhoto. Do you think my iPhoto app is corrupt?
Any suggestions would be welcome. This is vexing...

Hold down Command and Option, and launch iPhoto. A Photo Library First Aid window will appear. In this window you’ll see a number of repair options. Start with Rebuild Thumbnails and give it a try. Check iPhoto after you’ve done this to see how it behaves. If it’s not showing all your photos, give the next option in the Rebuild window a try. Rinse and repeat until iPhoto is working properly.
Make sure you have a backup of your Library as a precaution.

My Photo Not Showing Up in Messages

My photo does not show beside my texts in Messages on my Mac. Only a shadow of a generic person in a rectangle is there. I can see the photos of others who write me, though. I have my photo in Contacts and it does show up in Mail, but not in Messages. My photo also shows up in IMessage on the iPad.
Why is my photo not showing up in Messages and how could I make it visible? Thanks.

Your Pic is set if you have Buddy list set up/logged in.
Enable the Bonjour account if you do not have Jabber, AIM or Yahoo IDs set up in Messages.
Click on the current Buddy Pic.
You may find it has pulled the Pic from the My Card in the Contacts app (Formerly the Address Book)
In turn this may be picking up on the System Preferences > User and Groups > your account Login pic.
That is to say when you set up the (Mac User) Account it asked you to create/chose a pic from the Login Screen.
Later the process of setting up an Accounts asked for details that create the Contacts/Address Book Card and the Login in pic is dragged across.
AS you then get to set up Messages (Or iChat) then the My Card pic is pulled through.
All three spots can be changed independently of each other.
Some of the Recent Items can be from either of the others.
This is my Buddy list pic and th "Recents" I have.
The Zebra and head in "teeth" pics are from some testing I did with Pics in the Contacts > My Card options rather than Messages.
Finally once you have a pic linked to Messages then it also show up at your end for the Chat window for iMessages (as well as for you in AIM or Jabber)
NOTE
In AIM and Jabber (Or Yahoo) your Pic is Broadcast and is what you Buddy sees next to your Name (They can override this though)
In iMessages though your pic is not sent and your Buddy's Contacts app supplies whatever pic they have for you. (As yours does for them)

My imports are not showing up in Photos or Events. The only place I can see them is in the "Last Import" folder. When I try to re-import them it pops up the Duplicate warning which means they are in the library but not showing up. Any ideas?

If they are in last import then they should be there - check the date on one of the photos in last import and look for that date in your library - last import, photos and events are simply different ways of viewing the same photos - if they are there in one view they are there in all views - somewhere
Select a pic in Last Import and Right-Click on it. Choose 'Show Event' from the menu. This will bring you to the Event containing the photo.
If the photo is in Last Import, then the photo is in the Library somewhere, just not where you expect it to be. Usual causes: the date on your camera is wrong, and so the date on the photo is wrong, or the sorting of the Events has changed (View Menu -> Sort Events)

In downloading my Events from iPhoto on my Mac to my iPad Air, the Events arrive in the proper order but not showing the Key Photo. At the same time, the Events arrive in iPhoto on the iPad in totally random order but showing the Key Photo.Why?

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.
