Photos NOT shown in Elements 7 ??

In the bottom of the screen in Organizer I have a line saying: My catalouge... 2 objects in 99 maps... 18 076 objects are not shown. When I try to " show all " I dont get to see the 18 thousand pictures and I dont know where they are hiding. This state of things happened over night and the program was OK before. What have I done wrong and how do I rectiyfy??? George

When working with pictures it is easy to find the library files.... i have deleted them all, and on restart they are automatically rebuild. But they do not include old pictures then... only the new ones. So unfortunately that does not help.
Also Nokia Support was not able to send any useful answer.
So it looks like the library was destroyes for any unknown reason... and then started to work normal again, but simply forgot all old pictures.
Pictures are still available.... but simply not in the list of the library.
It is a pitty that you can not rebuild the library, as you can with music.....

Yikesyou have helped me before and I thank you for that. Funny how at the last resort I ask a question and then an hour later I fix something that has been broken for five days. I got off on the wrong foot with Lightroom installation and I really stepped in it...a lot had to do with a bad hard drive and all that. I still have remnants of catalogues etc so I am never quite sure where I am. I ran a search and found more than one .lrdata files. I finally got the right one to delete and I think I am okI'll be crying to you again if I am wrongall best, thanks again for your helpjim sterne

Photos not uploading into Elements 9 Organizer, hourglass icon vs. photo?

When uploading photos (jpeg) today into elements organizer 9, rather than photos appearing they come up with hour glass icon in each square. When I double click on the icon the photo appears. Any remedy suggestions will be appreciated.

Just a thought, you might try resetting the Organizer preferences.
The photos are deleted from my CF card when using a card reader.

Events and Photos not shown in full album view

In either Events and Photos (under Library) or Albums, when I click on an event or album, it pre-selects a photo (obviously one that I have set as the cover), but NOT the entire collection (as in the past). I used to be able to:
1) See the entire collage, and select any picture I liked and it would enlarge
2) Click in the black space (I set it to a black background), then the picture would minimize and I'd be back to the full album or event.
Now, nothing happens when I click the background black space. All I can do is simply scroll through the album or event and see the pics as they open on screen. I have no idea what the picture will be until I click the forward arrow. I cannot see the full album as well, just the pre-set first picture.

Also, when I click the various tabs in iPhoto Preferences, the pop-up box shakes for a few seconds, just like when you inadvertently enter the wrong password when logging in, or doing software updates, and the system tells you you've made a mistake by making it vibrate up and down. This does not happen with other programs....the transition between settings options after clicking is clean.
I wonder if there's a bug.
I've done nothing to preferences at all....all settings have remained the same.

Latest photos not shown in Mac Photos

Here's the situation: I have MacBookPro9,2 (os 10.10.3) and iPhone 5c (iOS 8.3).
I also have iCloud Photo Library activated on both devices. Initially the iPhone library was quickly fully uploaded (since I had ~2gb of photo stuff there) to the iCloud and it always stays up to date (checking it regularly).
Then I turned on the process of uploading my mac Photo Library to the iCloud. It is pretty big (~50gb) and as it smoothly continues to upload to the cloud, I can see the changes in iOS Photos - new moments are added on and on.
The problem is - when I take a new photo on iPhone and then it is successfully uploaded, I can not see it at the end of Mac Photos Moments (or anywhere else I could expect it to show). The Mac Photos seems to be updated, nothing new is downloaded to collection and the upload goes on.

Photos not shown in Photos-Application any more

Suddenly the pictures i have taken with the phone do not show up any more in the standard photos application.
It shows only one picture this month..... but they are still existing on phone memory.
Looks like the library information are corrupted.
Anybody having an idea how to restore? Can do that with music, but could not find it in photos-application ?

Photos not appearing in elements organiser

Can anyone help me work out why a number of photos that have been correctly imported into folders in the organiser, will not display. However, if I double click on them, they do display properly. The, if I return to the grid, they are not displayed. I'm sure it is a simple thing, but any help would be appreciated.

You mean that the thumbnail of the image does not show, but that you can open the image ?
Several possibilities:
- file size too big in pixels (frequent for photomerge panoramas)
- thumbnail cache too slow to update the image : try to right click on such a thumbnail and choose 'update thumbnail'
- If that does not work, you may need to rebuild the thumbnail cache totally.
Rebuilding the thumbnail cache:
- find the location of your catalog : menu Help / system info
- be sure the explorer is set to show 'hidden files' (task manager, folder properties)
- delete the file 'thumb.5.cache'
- restart the organizer and be patient while all thumbnails are re-regenerated; that may take a long time for a big catalog.

LR bug: Photo not shown when you edit in OnOne Perfect photo and come back to LR

I have LR 5.5 and OnOne Perfect Photo Suite 8.5 (PPS) installed.
When I edit the photo in PPS, triggered from LR, then come back to LR, the photo isn't shown, but the original photo shows that another photo is stacked with it. No matter what I do I can't see the photo unless I either (1) close LR and re-open it or (2) click another folder to load other set of images, then go back to the folder I was in.
Repro steps:
Install LR 5.5 and PPS 8.5.
Select a photo in LR and go to menu bar and click on File, then Plug-in Extras, then click on Perfect Photo Suite 8.
Edit the photo in PPS, then go to File, then Save. Exit PPS.
Go back to LR and you'll see that the original photo you selected shows an overlay showing "2", which indicates it is stacked with another photo. Click on the overlay to expand the stack,
Actual result: You only see the original photo, even though you've expanded the group.
Expected result: I see both photos, the original one and the edited one in PPS.

I have had the same problem on several occasions and here is what I have found. Look at your folders in the left-hand pane. When this has happened to me, the current folder was listed as "Current Import". You need to change the folder view to the actual folder you are working from and then you will see the additional photos from onOne edits.

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

File numbers not shown in Photos

Photos can display the titles of the photos below the thumbnails. But while iPhoto used the filenames with the file numbers as titles as a default title, if no title had been assigned, Photos does not do that. Filenames are only shown in the Info panel for a photo. You have to copy the filename to the title filed manually.

Gray image not shown correctly in photo app

Hi, in my iphone App, I create a Gray CGImage. Some code is here:

And then I use this CGImage to make a UIImage. This image shows OK in UIImageView. I also use UIImageWriteToSavedPhotosAlbum to save this gray scale image to photo album. But when I open iphone native Photo app, this image is not shown correctly.

Because I am sure other people will encounter this issue, I will post the solution here...The issue lies in what program is associated with .bmp files. In my specific case the customer had PhotoSuite 4 by Roxio associated with opening bmp files. I am not sure exactly why (perhaps it doesn't support drag-and-drop?) but if you create a .reg file and import this it should fix the problem. The bolded part is the important part. Yes there is,
When you recieve a mail with an attachement (inline or as a picture) right click (or control click) the attachement and choose "show as symbol" or "show fullsize" (or completely or something like that, I don't work in English version). Mail will take this as a general preference.
