Photos not streaming to I Pad

Photos taken by IPhone show in IPhoto but not on IPad. Streaming is enabled on the pad. What else could I do?

Sorted it. I went to settings, photos and camera, turned off my photo stream and deleted photos, then turned back on my photo stream and the photos I had taken with my iPhone were on my iPad.

My original I Phone 5 was running IOS 6.12
My I phone 5S currently runs IOS 8..When I upgraded it, it had IOS 7 on it which made the I Photo app compatible with everything below IOS 8...( which the photo app is not compatible with ) so I just connected the I Phone 5S to my computer and thinking the new phone had IOS 7 on it that these was nothing to worry about..I thought all 900 + pictures in the photo stream would transfer but somewhere in the process, I Tunes decides to just go and install IOS 8 which requires that you run a " Photo Migration App" to transfer photos from IOS 7 & below. The problem was is that I didn't want IOS 8 on my new 5S so I thought I wouldn't have to do that part..
Anyway the phone emerged with IOS 8 on it and the only photos that remained were the ones that were actually on the phone..The 900 + I had in the stream didn't transfer because the Photos that works on IOS 7 and below isn't compatible with IOS 8..I guess you have to use the photo migration app that comes with IOS 8 & I phone 6..But I didn't ask to upgrade to IOS 8...It just did it on it's own!
I still have the I Phone 5 Back up that I did just before giving it back to Verizon but if I try to restore the I Phone 5S running IOS 8 those photos in the stream will not go back on the phone because IOS 8 isn't compatible with the I Photos" that ran on IOS 7 and below..
So I have an I Pad mini that runs IOS 7..should I try and erase it...and put that I Phone 5 backup on it and pray the photos that were in the stream come back on it so I can transfer them back to my computer...then erase the I pad mini again and restore it using it's original backup that I have on the computer and the in the cloud?

No, this canot be done, afaik. When your camera or card is connected, you will see the thumbnails in the camera pane, but not full size preview. So to browse your photos on the iPad you will need to import them to your camera roll. But you need not delete them from the camera or card after importing, so you might simply import selected photos to your camera roll from the camera grid and then delete them again from the camera roll after importing and browsing, without removing them from the card/camera.

Hmm... It looks like they are gone forever now then. I can't think of any other way of getting them back apart from restoring from an iTunes or iCloud backup. Somebody else might be able to help but I think they're gone forever. I don't know why they were wiped from your iPod but it could be something to do with security. In the future I would recommend syncing to iTunes or iCloud to prevent it from happening again. You can always make a reservation at the Genius Bar and see what those guys can do because it seems that they are still there, they are just 'hidden' from view. http://concierge.apple.com/reservation/gb/en/techsupport/

Same problem - I went into Vista Task Manager and stopped applephotostreams.exe then went into the icloud control panel, everything re-started automatically and all my photos downloaded and I now fel like some kind of IT Guru

The only way to delete photos NOT in the camera roll is to sync the phone with those photos deselcted.
@iLikeCheesyStuff: The photo stream photos are in the camera roll as well. The OP is referring to photos synced to his phone, which can't be deleted directly on the phone.

Transferring photos from PC to i pad

i have an i pad 2 16g and iphone 16g. space is limited so i want different apps and stuff on each one. i wanted to store a lot of photos on i pad. i have lots of photo folders on my PC and want to transfer some but not all photos from these folders to my i pad. please can you tell me the best and quickest way of transferring some photos from PC to i pad, and without ending up having them transferred to my i phone too?

That is how syncing photos works - you need to sync all the (synced) photos that you want on the iPad together in one go, as not including them in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (as you've found out). So you need all the folders that you want on the iPad directly off the same parent folder so that you can select and sync them and get separate albums for them

Photo app on ipad randomly switches to photos not in the album

I added a new album of photos from my pc to my itunes to use as a slideshow to showcase specific photots. It is the oddest thing, part way through the slideshow it will randomly pull photos not included in the album and show them in the slideshow. Has anyone else encountered this or know why the ipad photo app might be doing this?

Unfortunately, photo stream on a PC is iffy at best. Many people have problems getting it to work properly, including myself. A work around would be to use an app like PhotoSync on your PC, which can send photos wirelessly to the camera roll on any of your iOS devices on the same wifi network. Once in the camera roll, you iOS device will be added to your photo stream.

How many photos are stored in My Photo Stream on my devices and computers?
iCloud pushes all your photos to the My Photo Stream album on your devices and computers, and manages them efficiently, so you don’t run out of storage space.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 photos in the My Photo Stream album. From there, you can browse your recent photos or move the ones you like to your Camera Roll or another album to keep them on your device forever.
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to have all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically downloaded. In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will be imported into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture. What do I need to remove photos from 4 G I Pad?

What do I need to get photos from my I Pad 4G to aDVD. The Apple store told to go to places like Target. Kodak does not work with I pads. I do not have another PC to that goes on line to go to first.

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.
Photostream when enabled will only add photos from the camera roll that were taken post photostream activation. (Photostream does not currently share video)
