Photos not syncing from iPad to iPhone through iCloud

Hi,
I synced some old photos from my laptop (windows 7) through iTunes to iPad. iCloud is setup on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. The photos by default did not go to PhotoStream and i think that's the reason why they dont sync up with the photos on my iPhone even when I am in Wi-Fi zone.
Is there a way I could move the photos from iPhoto to PhotoStream on my iPad so that they sync up on my iPhone.
please suggest if I am getting the issue totally wrong and it is something I am missing here.
Regards,
TarGoy

You don't have the issue wrong, I can totally see what you're thinking. It would be nice if Photo Stream worked that way, but Photo Stream only adds the photos you take with the device's camera after you take them. It stores the last 30 days of photos, or up to 1,000 (which is pretty good, if you think about it).
You can remove all the photos from your entire Photo Stream by going to iCloud on your computer, choosing Advanced in your account, and option "Reset Photo Stream".

I recently received a new IPhone as a warranty exchange and now photo stream is not working. I have checked the Icloud settings and they are correct. It's working on my IPad but nothing is coming over to photo stream on my phone. Any help is appreciated.

Yes. I made sure that setting was selected however the photos will still not carry over to my phones photo stream.

  • Some Photos Not Syncing to iPad 1, but issue is not the photos.

Some Photos Not Syncing:  When syncing iPad1 64gb IOS 5.0.1 w/HP desktop, some but not all jpgs sync from a folder.  (There is ample free space on the iPad.)  The issue is not the photo files as I have verified that the jpg's are all compatible both through Adobe CS5 and by successfully getting the photos to sync to the iPad by making a copy of them and placing this duplicitous copy in a 2nd temporary folder, which then sync's all the jpg's to the iPad just fine.  Still, it makes no sense why they won't all sync from the main photo folder.
[Folder structure is:  Sync My Photos Folder; Subfolder 1 syncs all; Subfolder 2 syncs some; Subfolder 3 syncs all.  But if I add a new Temp Subfolder 2a and copy non-syncing photos in it, then I am able to sync all teh photos.]
This is a very inconvenient situation, and it wastes space on my desktop harddrive as I have to have all the photos in the main folder--not the temp folder--to which they ar assinged.  Has anyone else encountered this, and is there an explanation or solution for this issue?
    Thanks.

  • IPad 2 not syncing Calendar to other devices through iCloud

My iPad 2 is not syncing Calendar events to other devices through iCloud
Devices:  MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion 10.8.2), iPhone 3GS (iOS 6.0), iPad 2 (iOS 6.0)
    iPad 2 Settings:
       iCloud settings: Calendars 'ON'
Mail, Contacts, Calendars: Default Calendar:  Calendar; Sync:  All events
       Shared Calendar Events:  'ON'
Within Calendar App:  Calendars checked:  Home, Calendar
    iPhone 3GS Settings:
       Identical to iPad 2 settings
MacBook Pro iCloud Calendar: Home and Calendar checked
I set up the following test event entries for the same date to see what was coming up in each device above:
1-From iPad:  iPad to iCloud test
2-From iPhone:  iPhone to iCloud test
       3-From iCloud.com:  iCloud.com to iCloud test
4-From MacBook Pro:  Launchpad Calendar App to iCloud test
(The last two entries may be redundant, but I wanted to cover all possibilities.)
I then I checked the Calendar App for each of the above devices for "events" 1, 2, 3, and 4 above.
The iPhone Calendar App had "events" 2, 3, and 4
The MacBook Calendar App through LaunchPad had "events" 2, 3, and 4
    iCloud.com had "events" 2, 3, and 4
The iPad, however, had "events" 1, 2, 3, and 4
Only the iPad had all events entered from all devices.  This creates a problem, of course, since I almost always have the iPad with me, and that's where I make additions/changes to Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and Reminders. Dependability across the Cloud is pretty important!  What can I do to resolve this?
N.B., Contacts and Reminders synced successfully across all devices through iCloud.  Notes, on the other hand, showed a different problem.  When I created a "Test from devices" note, the iPad and the iPhone showed the additions to the note from each device, including the MacBook.  The MacBook only showed what had been written from the MacBook.  Hmmmm...
Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Entourage calender not syncing with iPad or iPhone anymore?

    Hi there
I've read several posts relating to this issue and everyone talks about iCal and which to use etc. I'm not a MAC user myself but one of my Directors are and he used to sync his Entourage 2008 calender and contacts between his MACBook, iPad and iPhone
At some point it stopped working (he's not sure when exactly but it was before he upgraded to Mavericks) and he asked that I try and resolve it.
I tried a couple of things - registering with iCloud, removing the sync settings in entourage and enabling them again, making sure his Outlook for Mac isnt intefering (he installed it alongside Excel but never used it) and disabling any sync services in his calender app on the MacBook (even though entourage was set as the default calender anyway).
The latter of the bunch I mentioned I did this morning but he isnt here (and neiher is his iPad or iPhone) so I havent been able to test whether its this.
Any suggestions? So far I've concluded from the posts I've read that icloud isnt going to work (and if I remember correctly, neither will Caldev or something) so thats basically what I've removed this morning from the calender app and made it inactive.
Anything else I should do to ensure its not trying to use iCloud but only iCal? Or am I barking up the wrong tree completely?
    Let me know!
    Regards
    Neville

Thanks everyone - not very positive but I was kind of expecting it since I read numerous other posts relating to the same issue.
Just to confirm then...this would affect any type of sync from Entourage to iPhone / iPad (like contacts, etc)? Because thats whats happening here aswell (contacts also not syncing).
Since it cannot be fixed or reverted back to the way things used to be, what does one stand to do now? As per one of the users that also responded here (where its actually affecting their business)...the end user in my case is one of the Directors of the company and travels alot for business - he cant NOT have his calenders, contacts etc sync anymore!
Which software / sync combination can we use and how do I set it up? With that said, how would we merge / migrate his EXTENSIVE mail, calender and contacts database in his Entourage he's built up over the years into the afore queried solution?
So we need to have his MacBook Pro with Mavericks sync all his calender, contact and related items sync with both his iPad and iPhone for when he travels. Mail account / messages not so much of an issue (but he mentioned that when he got an email on either mobile device and he subsequently downloaded or opened the same mail on his MAC, it would be removed from his iPad / iPhone automatically and as far as I know, this isn't happening anymore either).
Your help and insight so far is greatly appreciated.
    Regards

Any suggestions or advice?  I have entered calendar details and appointments on my iPhone, and they are not on my iPad...  When I look elsewhere (through my work I use Exchange and all are synced) many of my appointments seem to be there twice... though still not on my iPad.  Thanks!

  • On iCloud, the calendar will sync from computer and iPhone to everything, but will not sync FROM iPad

When I enter data on my computer or iPhone, the calendars all sync nicely; however, if I enter an event on my iPad, it will not sync, eventhough it syncs the information from the other devices.  Any advice?

Once you set your Exchange Calendar as the default here:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > scroll down to Default Calendar > Select your Exchange calendar
All new events should be created in your Exchange calendar unless manually changed.

  • Some photos not syncing from Mac to ipad

I am using iPhoto 11 9.2.1 and iTunes 10.5 and have iPad 2 on iOS 5.1
In iTunes I have selected, sync photos from iPhoto, selected Albums, Events....Events from the last 12 months, Include videos.
Under Albums I have 1 Album checked, Events is Grayed out and only the last 12 months of events are checked. The total picture count is 1276,  only about 400 photos are syncing. I upgraded to iOS 5.01 today before doing this sync. Unfortunatly I had not tried to sync these photos prior to the upgrade so not sure if that is a factor.

I had the same issue this morning after the iOS 5.01 upgrade.  There was an option to sync photos from a "pictures folder".  This worked but the "pictures" folder doesn't have all the organized albums and folders that are in iPhoto. So, working to find a fix for organizing the "pictures" folder since the new iOS doesn't sync from iphoto. Any help on this would be great.  I think when I upgraded iPhoto today, the pictures folder may have been created.
    Not sure. Thanks

  • Photos Not Syncing from Mac to iPad

OK - I have set a Master Photo System Library on my Mac. I have imported a number of photos that I want synced on my iPad and iPhone and created a number of albums. I went into Systems Preferences and then iCloud where i turned on iCloud Photo Library and Photo Streaming. I then went to my iPad and Settings and iCloud where I turned on the same settings on Photos.
The gear spun, the line moved saying it was syncing photos until it finished. I opened Photos on my iPad expecting to see the same photos and Albums as I see on my Mac - wrong -
Actually, I have lost a number of pictures I had on my iPad which I expected but nothing was added - no organization I had set up on my Mac or ANYTHING - It was like a giant waste of time.
Am I doing something wrong or am I expecting more than is to be delivered?
    Thanks
    Adrian

More - I have gone into Photos Preferences and the folder I set up and intend to use as the System Library shows up but I cannot select it to tell Photos that it is the system library. - hummmmmm
Any ideas as to how to get Photos to recognize the System Folder I intend to use?
    Thanks

  • Adjusted photos not syncing to iPad

Seems like I'm missing something simple but here goes:
I set my Aperture library to sync with the iPad and all of the images/albums show up. However, when I make any kind of adjustment to a photo in Aperture (e.g. make black and white), and then re-sync the iPad, the change isn't reflected (image still in colour). I can add/delete photos in Aperture and those changes are updated on the iPad, just not individual image adjustments.
I've confirmed that Aperture is in fact making a new preview (I have it set to 'always') since any changes are reflected instantly elsewhere - when changing the desktop picture for example.
    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks Clem,
Can only delete photos directly from the iPad if they're in the Saved Photos folder (stuff I've downloaded). Anything that's been synced through iTunes won't allow me to delete.
I did remove the iPod Photo Cache and then re-synced and it initially seemed to work. However, when I updated a photo in Aperture after that, the same problem cropped up – image didn't update. This all started after the 3.1 update but unlike others have mentioned, I can see all my photos in my iLife apps as well as my Apple TV and any changes made in Aperture are automatically updated.
Just confirmed that the exact problem is happening with my iPod touch. I'm stumped.

  • Reminders NOT syncing between ipad and iphone

About to pull my hair out.  I have tried so many differnent combinations to get this to work (after reading other posts).  Original problem was that I could update from iphone and the new remnders would then be on the icloud calendar, but not on the ipad.  Finally, after reading other posts, stopped reminders from both devices and cleared the ones on off my iphone only.  They went away on the cloud and were never on the ipad.
I then enabled reminders on the ipad.  Most merged to the cloud, but it erased one whole list of reminders while keeping the list name.  Can now see the remaining ones on the cloud and ipad.  Reenabled on the iphone and can now see them there too.
Went to rebuild the ones that "disappeared" from the ipad.  All are entered and they ONLY show on the ipad - not on the cloud nor iphone.
The list name of the ones that disappeared is the same name of a calender.  From the cloud, I changed the name of that list.  A few seconds later, the name changed on both devices.
Communication is happening, but the new items in that now renamed list are still not on the cloud and, subsequently, not on the ipone.
    HELP!!

The tasks that I'm attemptign to sync are actually through an Outlook exchange server.  Besides that, I sync everything through iCloud.
The only time recently that I've synced with my computer is when I updated to iOS 6, and a few times recently, as I've also lost the ability to wi-fi sync for soem reason.

  • IPhoto albums not syncing from computer to iPhone

I can't sync selected albums from iPhoto on my Mac to my iPhone.
First I connect the iphone to the Mac, then select certain albums under Photo on the iPhone.
It goes through the entire sync process, which takes several minutes; however, the selected albums do not appear on the iPhone.

You are still under Snow Leopard, and basically iCloud is not supported.
Are we talking about iCloud calendar, or Gmail calendar ?
In any case, I would advice you 2 things :
    1 - update to 10.6.8
    2 - check iCal parameters for SN http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57511534-263/how-to-set-up-icloud-services- in-snow-leopard/
