Photos not uploading to iCloud Photo Library

My issue is with iCloud Photo Library on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.3). Works fine for a few days, then gets stuck and won't upload anything to iCloud, which in turn won't show up in the Photos app on my Mac (OS X 10.3.3). Currently it's been stuck on "4 Photos to Upload" for a over a day now. This happened last week as well and I had to shut off iCloud Photo Library and turn back on. It eventually worked, but that was a long painful process because I have 80GB of photos.
It's not a wifi issue either, and I've rebooted the phone as well. I've been on 2 separate very fast internet connections and only used half the space on my 200 GB iCloud plan. I've edited a few photos with Snapseed and Camera+ using extensions – could it be a corrupt photo using a 3rd party app causing the problem?
When iCloud Photo Library works, it's great, but this is the 2nd time in 2 weeks to hang during upload. I wish there was a way to refresh it or force it to upload without turning the whole thing off and on. Anyone else having this issue?

Same here - no upload button for me, too. OS X Lion, Safari 6.1.6. Trying not to take it as personal.

  • Photos not uploading to iCloud Photo Library from Photos beta

I have been trying for a couple of weeks now to upload photos from my Mac to the iCloud Photo Library using the new Photos beta. I have about 2,800 photos and the upload process just stalls with about 2,000 photos left to upload.
I've tried turning the upload on and off and rebuilding the library but nothing works. A couple of times when restarting the upload process I have received this error message:
Referenced files will not upload to iCloud Photo Library
Select referenced files in your library and choose “Consolidate” from the File menu to copy the original files into the library.
So I gather I'm supposed to select a few files and consolidate them, but I have no idea what the "referenced" files are.  Might anyone know?
    thanks!

  • Photos not uploading to iCloud photo library from PC

Hopefully I am not the only person with this problem, but it's driving me round the bend.
iCloud installed on PC and default folder Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream contains c1,800 photos
When I got to Favourites\iCloud Photos\My Photostream there are only 5 photos
When I try to manually add photos in the explorer window Favourites\iCloud Photos\My Photostream it seams to crash or just not update
When I visit iCloud.com there are only 489 photos and as others have described there is no upload button in the browser interface.
So in summary it doesn't upload from PC and I cant upload from the browser despite all pictures sitting in the right folder the syncing doesn't appear to work.
    Please, Please help!! :-)

  • How can you stop burst photos from uploading to iCloud Photo Library

So I took around 500 burst photos with my phone and deleted them right after but they still appear to be uploading to iCloud Photo Library. I have upload burst photos turned off in settings but they're still uploading. How can I turn this off and stop burst photos from uploading?

  • Aperture photos not syncing to iCloud Photo Library

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1 and a recent MacBook Pro with Yosemite. I've done everything to turn on iCloud Photo Library and iCloud Drive and I have plenty of iCloud storage capacity.  However, the iCloud Photo Library is only showing unedited photos taken on the iPhone.  No photos stored in either iPhoto or Aperture on my Mac are showing up in the iCloud Photo Library.  I thought this was supposed to be the way you could store all your photos from any device in edited form.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

I have iCloud Photo Library switched on in my iPhone 5 and iPad 4 and photos are still importing into Aperture in the Photo Stream Projects. It seems that as far as Aperture is concerned, nothing has changed. Running Yosemite 10.10.1 and iOS 8.1.1
Yes, the mobile devices will still be streaming with My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams to all devices, also to iPhoto or Aperture.  The upload from the macs to the mobile devices will no longer work, however.
If you enable "iCloud Photo Library (Beta)", "My Photo Stream" does no longer upload from Aperture or iPhoto. Try it please, and tell us, if it still works for you. There have been many reports, does Aperture can no longer upload to iOS8 devices, if they are using Cloud Photo Library (Beta).
And iTunes Photo Sync will be disabled as well. So the web interface will be the only access to the iCloud photo library from your Mac. Your Mac will only show you the images in the Photo Streams. To see your iCloud Photo Library (Beta) use the Photos.app on the iCloud webpage.

  • HT6413 Why are my photos not uploaded to my photo stream on my PC?

Running Win7 on my PC.  Photos taken on Ipad or Iphone 5 used to upload automatically.  Updated to Iphone 6 and they no longer do so.  Have checked all settings and they appear to be in order.  Any reason they should not upload to the photo stream?

I found the problem.  AS it turns out, when I created my iCloud account I eneded up creating a NEW ID.  The process is a little bit confusing and it is apparently easy to get one ID on the iCloud on your iMac and another on your iPhone.  This is what I had done.  It was a simple matter of signing out of iCloud on the Mac and then signing back in wiht my original Apple ID (the one on the iPhone) once I signed backin, pictures starte appearing in the Photo Stream.  Easypeasy!

  • IPhone 6 not uploading to iCloud photo library

Yes I know that apples iCloud photo library is still in beta but very often my iPhone 6 will get stuck trying to upload photos (most that were taken by the phone itself) and my iPad Mini 2 has no issues. And now the iPhone 6 - when connected to wifi - is trying to upload 8 photos that were already uploaded my my iPad. Any suggestions besides a total factory reset - I am on vacation and don't have access to my iTunes backups.

Three were taking by the iPhone so they were originally on the phone. Two were uploaded and it got stuck on the third one. The other photos were transferred to my iPad mini by Canon's app from my camera and the iPad did upload them to the iCloud photo library. I then transferred those photos from the iPad to iPhone using Airdrop and now - even though the iPad already uploaded them to the cloud, the iPhone is stuck trying to do the same thing

  • Photos stopped uploading to iCloud Photo Library beta.  Any suggestions?

Yesterday I set up iCloud Photo library beta to upload my photos to iCloud.  Aft 40 photos uploaded it seems that the upload is stuck and won't upload any more photos.  I went to the iCloud photos beta site and the 40 or so photos that uploaded are there.

    Hi,
I had this exactly. My iPhone and iPad got stuck just moments after I enabled Icloud Photo Library.
I then plugged my ipad overnight to a charger and in the morning, it was all synced
So I plugged my iphone and it immediately started syncing the rest.
    Hope it helps someone

  • Photos not uploading to iCloud from Photos?

    Hi all,
I have recently purchased 200GB worth of storage for iCloud and was hoping to store all my photos on iCloud and see them on all my devices. I thought that it would automatically upload and I knew it would take some time as I have 20,000 pictures but its only upload 1,800 photos from the photos program...
Can anyone help to explain why its done this or how I get all 20,000 up to iCloud?
    Thanks
    Andy

I have the same problem. Can anyone help? As far as I can tell everything has been enabled.

  • "all photos" album not including all photos. Causing some photo not to be uploaded to iCloud Photo Library

After updating to iCloud photo library (iPhone 5, iOS 8.1), if I look at my "photos" tab I see over 700 photos, but in the  'all photos' album I only have 420. This results in only 420 of the photos uploaded to iCloud Photo library and not clearing much space off of my iPhone.

The FAVOURITES and PANOS albums also sort by date and time too. So all the albums sort by time and day except the ALL PHOTOS album! Seems very strange! What's even odder is that the date range listed at the top of the ALL PHOTOS album would suggest that they are sorted by date!
Apple I hope you SORT this out soon

  • HT6378 There is no Pause option in Settings to pause the upload to iCloud Photo Library.

There is no Pause option in Settings to pause the upload to iCloud. How can I pause uploading new photos?
In addition, if you choose to turn off the Photo Library beta, you receive a message that indicates the option will be removed from the iPhone.
CorvusIf you choose to continue to Remove, the app indicated that a number of photos will be removed from the iPhone, although it does state that they will remain in iCloud
But, about this option you can see on Apple site http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT6378 in
(When do photos and videos upload to iCloud Photo Library?
When you turn on iCloud Photo Library on your devices, your photos and videos will begin to upload after you connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi. You can see the status on the Photos tab and pause upload for one day from Settings > iCloud > Photos.
Depending on your Internet connection speed, the time it takes for your photos and videos to appear on all of your devices might vary.)
    Anyone have this issue too?

The Delete button is only available in your Photo Streams, Camera Roll or Albums you made on the iPhone. Synced photos from a computer can not be deleted and have to be done through the iTunes sync process.
Tap Photo Stream - My Photo Stream then tap on the Edit button here, there should be a Delete button at the bottom. If not try Resetting your iPhone:
From the Home screen double tap the Home button to view the multitasking bar at the bottom. Tap and hold an app at the bottom till the icons wiggle with the minus button visible. Tap the button to close all apps then tap the Home button to get back to the Home page. Press and hold the Sleep button till you see the Slide to power off message and power it off. Once powered down completely press and hold the sleep button till the Apple icon appears.

I have added photos to My Photo Stream on my PC (Windows 7). They appear in the Uploads folder instead. They do not upload to iCloud. Am I doing something wrong?

Unfortunately, photo stream on a PC is iffy at best.  Many people have problems getting it to work properly, including myself.  A work around would be to use an app like PhotoSync on your PC, which can send photos wirelessly to the camera roll on any of your iOS devices on the same wifi network.  Once in the camera roll, you iOS device will be added to your photo stream.

  • How upload to iCloud photo library beta from mac

How do I upload photos from imac (iPhoto) to iCloud photo library beta.

I have bought 500 gb of data a month. However what is the point as I only have access to the photos I take on my phone. I have no option in the beta.icloud/photo app to upload my photos from my mac.. what am I missing?
The option to upload should be there on the iCloud web page, but I don't see it.  That is what iCloud Help says:
    Add new photos or videos
Log in to iCloud.com, then click Photos.
Click Upload and select the photos or videos you want to add.
Click Choose to upload them to your library.
So, I am sure, the option to upload will be there soon. It must be an oversight. Send feedback to Apple: Apple - iPhoto - Feedback
The still elusive "Photos.app" on your Mac is supposed to bring the ability to upload to iCloud Photo Library on the Macs. The release has been announced for "Early next year". For the time being, upload the photos you want in iCloud Photo Library to your devices (Photo Stream, Mail) and add them from there to the iCloud Photo Library.

  • Photos not uploading.

Installed 10.10.3, launched Photos.  Turned on iCloud Photo Library.
It's not uploading.  I have photos in iCloud, but I have many more photos on my Mac that are not in iCloud, and they're simply not uploading.
Photos Preferences says it's "Updating..." but nothing is uploading.
Is there any way to figure out what's going on here?

I have similar problems - 42,000 pictures to upload to iCloud (my laptop iPhoto library). Strictly though (at least for me) it's not that it's NOT uploading, it's just horrendously slow. I've had it running for the past 36 hours and its barely made a dent. At a rough estimate I'd say it's uploading around 1 photo a minute - so at this pace I 'might' be finished in a month of solid uploading.
I really hope this gets fixed. I had this problem with the iPhoto beta too and had to abandon it. The iCloud photo library feature is about the only apple update of late that I've been really hoping for - but in it's current release it's just unusable.

  • Deleting Photos from Device with iCloud Photo Library

How do I delete photos locally from my device when I'm using iCloud photo library? Whether I'm deleting from the Photos tab or Albums > All Photos, I see the same "this photo will be deleted from iCloud photo library on all devices" message. How can I delete the photo from my device, but keep it in the iCloud photo library? Currently, my photos tab and all photos album are exactly the same... whats the difference between these features? Thanks!

iCloud Photo Library is currently only for iOS devices, but it disables syncing with the Mac. It is simply not yet ready.
iCloud Photo Library is still a beta version. (See: iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ) The Mac part has not yet been released, but will be available early next year. We do not know yet, what the Mac part of iCloud Photo Library will be like. The Photos.app for Mac will be able to upload to iCloud Photo Library.  If you simply wait till early next year, it will be the easiest transit. Then you will be able to migrate iPhoto Libraries and Aperture Libraries to Photos and store the photos in iCloud.
Right now, if you enable iCloud Photo Library Beta on your mobile devices, the usual ways to upload photos from your Mac will be disabled. It will no longer deposable to sync photos with iTunes, and you cannot upload using My Photo Stream.
To upload photos from the Mac to iCloud Photo Library, mail the photos, put them in your DropBox, or use the uploader on the beta.cloud page (in the photos beta app):  https://beta.icloud.com
