Good day, Rahulcruz. Are you still having the same issue? Did you try checking if your phone will get the latest software update? If so, let's try isolating the issue. You may try resetting the phone. Note that backup is a must to avoid data loss. To do this, go to Settings > backup. Once done, go to Settings > about > reset your phone. Check it again after the steps provided. Let us know the outcome.

  • Photos not visible in iPhoto v8.1 (iLife 09)

I've copied my iPhoto library to a new computer and even though all pictures are in the library, about half of them are not visible in iPhoto v8.1 (iLife 09).
    • Only 74 events of 219 are visible.
    • Picture count on new computer is 2752 and 7709 on old computer in iPhoto
    • iPhoto on older machine is v7.1.5 (iLife 08)
    • New albums have been created on new machine that must have disappeared during previous iPhoto updates.
    • Photo library size is 3 GB larger on new machine
    • Running 10.5.8 on older machine and 10.6.1 on new machine
I've played with "Hide Photos" and no change.
Any one has any ideas how to correct this?
    Thanx in advance.

Just an update on this...re-copied and I'm having the same issue. Here are some additional testing I did.
    • Updated iPhoto to v8 (iLife 09) on the original machine (G5 PM) and no issues.
    • Copied updated Library to new machine (iMac 3.06) and still same issue. Its running iPhoto 8.1
    • Updated iPhoto to 8.1 on G5 and I'm encountering the same issue as the iMac. Only see 74 events out of some 220 events and 2752 pictures out of 7100 pictures.
Conclusion - iPhoto 8.1 (iLife 09) messes up something in my photo library.
TD - thanx for your quick feedback.
BTW - just got notification that a new iPhoto update, 8.1.1, is available! Going to try it and update the results here.

  • Raw Photos not Visible in CS5 Bridge

I have been using CS5 for several years with my Sony a100 DSLR.  I recently purchased a Sony a99 DSLR and my Raw photos are not visible in Bridge.  How can I correct this issue?

If you are referring to the Sony Alpha SLT-A99V (the EXACT model numbers are important) Camera Raw 6.x for Photoshop CS5 will never get updated for the Sony Alpha SLT-A99V.
Your options are to upgrade to Photoshop CS6 and ACR 7.2 (the first version that supported the Sony Alpha SLT-A99V) or download the free DNG Converter 7.3 (current version) and convert those files to DNG. Go to the Digital Negative (DNG) page and scroll down to Downloads to download the correct platform (Mac/Windows).

  • Photos not visible in iPhoto

I have uploaded some photos to iPhoto and when I wanted to move them into a folder iPhoto crashed and the photos are now not visible. I checked my files and the photos are there in jpg format. When I try to import them I get an error message that the format is not recognized and that the photo is already in iPhoto. Does someone have any idea what I could do to get the photos back into iPhoto?

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Photos not visible in slideshow

Some imported photos will not show in slideshow or when trying to open the photos to a larger picture by double-clicking on the smaller photo image. When the photo opens it appears for a moment and then is replaced with an ! Within a triangle. NB the impoted photo is visible for selection and can be tagged for inclusion - the photo just won't open. The majority of photos from the same camera set with the same resolution do work - just a hundred or so don't which were taken from the same camera at different times (different years) don't - if any know how to resolve this then great!

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • IPhone 6 recent photos not visible on iMac

    Hi,
IPhone 6 v8.1 recent photos are not visible on iMac v10.10. I've got all the Cloud switches on, and the photos won't sync to iPhoto. They're just not visible on the iMac. I'm also now getting a msg on the iPhone saying "This accessory may not be supported."
Does anyone know how to correct this?
    Thanks, Mike

    Any tips?

  • Got new computer installed LR but photos not visible

    Hi,
I just got a new iMac and I installed LR 5.7 on the new system.  The photos look like they are there because I see the folder structure and what looks like photo files but inside each photo box is a light gray box with a lighter number in it. The photo itself is not visible. How can I correct this?  I still have all the original files on the old computer too if I need them.
    Thanks,
    Chet

Thanks for your response.. Since I posted the question I discovered that I can view the photos from the develop mode but not the library mode and that was making me think that the directory paths are still valid and correct.  I also made sure that the permissions on all the LR files are read/write so I'm still stumped why I can't see the images from the library. Even if I click on them images from the library they still won't show up. The name of the file is there but the image itself won't show up.  Am open to any ideas!  I would just reimport them but I've already set hundreds if not thousands of keywords for the photos that are there which is about 170,000 photos total.

  • ICloud photos not visible to third party apps

Since enabling iCloud photos on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air, I've noticed that none of my photos are visible to any third party apps (Photogene, Instragram). I have optimised, rather than full version storage enabled and suspect that this is causing the problem. Anyone else with this issue or any idea how to get round it, as I use these apps a lot - Photogene and Photo-Sync in particular.
Needless to say, I am running the most up to date versions of all apps and iOS. I have checked that access to Photos is enabled for all the apps in question, as well as deleting and re-installing, resetting database (in the case of Photogene) and all. All to no avail.
    Any help appreciated.

I don’t quite understand your question. The hard drive is mounted on the desktop. I also have an Applications Folder on the right-side of my dock for easy access. I’ve always had it this way. I ran disk permissions repair again and it repair a number of Java permissions, probably from the last Apple update a short time ago, but I still have the same problem.

  • Why are Panasonic GX7 RAW photos not visible in Aperture but in OS X Mavericks and iPhoto?

My Panasonic GX7 RAW photos seem to be visible in OS X Mavericks and iPhoto, but bizarrely not in Aperture (3.5.1).
Does anyone know why this would be? Any solution greatly appreciated.
I've been unable to mange a significant number of images for almost 7 months now due to Aperture's lack of GX7 RAW support and am seriously considering migrating to Lightroom 5. Aperture has been my workflow application of choice for the last 7 or 8 years, but I feel the current situation has become unacceptable and deeply disappointing .

That camera was supported in digital camera Raw 5.0.1 and Aperture 3.4.5 or later. As you say the files are supported in iPhoto it seems you have the right Raw file.
Have you tried it with new imports in Aperture does it still fail? What if you reprocess the Raw files in Aperture, any change?

  • Synchronised contacts not visible in Phone Browser

Started Nokia 6300 + PCSuite 6.84. After synchronization with Outlook 2003 I got all the contacts from PC to 6300 succsefully. But I do not see them in Phone Browser, so there is no possibility to adjust them directly. The only contacts I can see are the ones entered manually in the phone itself. Is there any solution to that?

No. I tried refresh, disconnect/reconnect and restart of both PC and phone. Nothing seems to have any impact on the visible contacts.Message Edited by slavek on 15-Aug-200709:39 AM

  • IWeb '08 Photos Not Visible in Internet Explorer 7 on PC's

I've read through the posts looking for a workaround....I can't get photos onpages from the "iWeb Photo Template" to show up on PC's running IE7.
Every other page looks just fine in IE7...and in fact, looks fine in Safari and Firefox (as you'd have guessed). It's as if the Javascript isn't loading for those pics. Just empty...not even a "placeholder"
    Any thoughts towards a workaround?

Explorer 8. The weird thing is, when I check the page on a pc, the images are infact loading, but im getting a clear box with a red x over them!

  • Photos not visible in Event view

Over the last week my photos older than 7 Sep 14, in event view have become invisible, but can be seen when each event is opened. I have iPhoto version 9.5.1 does anyone know how to correct this? As it has meant the photos are also not available to email or see in Albums.

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - from the resulting first aid window repair permissions and if necessary rebuild your database

  • Photos not visible in iPhoto 6

I'm a Mac newbie, and haven't been able to figure out the following situation.
I transfered all of my .JPG files from my PC to the 'iPhoto Library' using my home network.
Problem: I can't seem to see any of my pictures using iPhoto or other applications that are iPhoto compatible.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

    Hi Asing,
If you manually put your photos into the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder, Then that is your problem. they need to be imported into iPhoto for iPhoto to see them.
Drag them out of the iPhoto Library folder to the desktop, then drag them into an open iPhoto viewing window.
    More info for you!
--First thing to know and remember is this...Do not drag any images, folder of images into the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Images have to be imported into iPhoto within the application. Do not scan images and save them into the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder. Save them to another location such as the Pictures folder or even the desktop. You can then import them into iPhoto.
If you have already put files/folders in the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder then you will also find out that if you try to import them into iPhoto you will get an error message. No worry, just drag them to the desktop and import from there.
--All images that you import are shown in the library view. You can choose how you want to view, by rolls, by date, by rating, etc. When you put images in an Album, slideshow, book, etc, you are actually just putting pointers to those images in the library. You are not adding more images. If you delete an image from the Album it will still be in the library. If you delete an image from the library it is deleted from iPhoto's database and your hard drive (unless you have it backed up somewhere else)
--You have a folder of images on your hard drive and want to import them into iPhoto. Drag the folder of images into an open iPhoto Library window and the folder of photos will be copied into the library, resulting in a new roll with the name of the folder. You now have two copies of those photos, the ones in iPhoto's database and the ones on your desktop. You can keep the ones on your desktop that you just imported as backup or you can delete that folder.
-- you scan a picture/pictures and save it in a folder. You cannot scan directly into iPhoto or the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder.
You want all your photos in iPhoto so you import them into iPhoto.
Now you have two copies of that picture/pictures, so you can delete the originals that were in the scanned folder and keep the one/ones that were imported into iPhoto.
-- You download pictures from your camera into iPhoto.
There is now one copy of each of the pictures. (DO NOT HAVE IPHOTO DELETE THE IMAGES FROM YOUR CAMERA! DELETE THEM MANUALLY WITH THE CAMERA-if something goes wrong with the import and they are never imported and then they are deleted from the camera you might end up losing those images)
You want to change something about a picture you imported, such as
cropping it or changing the size, or changing the orientation.
Once you do that to a picture, you now have two copies of the picture
in iPhoto, the original and the edited one. The edited one will be in the library organize view. The original is packed away in an Original folder in your iPhoto Library folder under the date of the roll. You can always revert to the original by control clicking on the photo and choose "revert to orginal" You will not have this choice if you used iPhoto Diet to get rid of the Originals.
(a quick note on cropping within iPhoto...when you are in edit mode, you automatically will be in the crop mode with cross hairs to highlight the crop area. To finish cropping you must click the crop button and then go back to library view and your cropped picture will be there.
3.You want to use Photoshop or another graphic program to edit a picture in your iPhoto library.
You can open up prefs for iPhoto and choose "when double clicking on
photo ..do" choose "other" and select Photoshop. Now you can edit all
pictures in your iPhoto library in PhotoShop by double clicking. If you save the photo with the same name and as a flattened file it will be saved right into iPhoto and you will see the changes. If you don't want to save it into iPhoto then do a "save as" and save to the desktop. You will then have the original photo still in iPhoto and your new edited photo on the desktop.
Or, with iPhoto open, you can drag a picture from the library window
to your desktop (you see a + sign on the pic you are dragging). You now
have two of the same picture, one in the iPhoto library and one on your desktop. You can open up the one on your desktop in any graphic program and work on it. The one in iPhoto stays the same. You can also share/export the picture/pictures to your desktop or folder to work on them or do batch processing, etc. You will still have the originals in your iPhoto Library.
Or, you can open up the ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library/folders and option drag any
picture out of the folder to your desktop. Notice that you will see a plus sign while dragging the photo. This is copying the file to your desktop
I would advise anyone not to do this as they might forget to use the option key and drag the photo out. Next time you open iPhoto the photo will be missing.
Two Apple kbs for you to read
Don't tamper with files in the iPhoto library folder
    About the iPhoto Library folder
Don't forget that in Library view you can Control click on any picture and get a contextual menu with many options. One is to revert to original.

  • Some photos not visible in Windows Explorer

    Dear All,
I have a problem when using an iPhone 5s with iOS 8.1.1 together with Windows 8.
The iPhone connect well, I can browse most of the photos from Windows Explorer, but some newer pictures are simply missing. So I see the majority of photos taken, but some are simply missing. Has anyone already encountered this? I have tried rebooting the phone and the PC, with no result.
    Thanks.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • IPhoto Photos not visible in finder

After recently purchasing a new macbook, I hooked up my external hard drive which housed my old iphoto pics from my last mac - it automatically recovered or "retrieved" my old pics from the hard drive when I attempted to open the old iphoto file.  Only problem is, I cannot access them to attach or download when using the finder menu from any of the new "photo" file locations.  They have not been moved to the new photos folder (as in all media files seen at the bottom of the finder menu) even though I can see them when iphoto is open, and the old file will not allow access to view individual jpg files - can I drag and drop the old iphoto file into the new picture file?  How do I access the files for use?  Its frsutrating to be able to see them without being able to use them.  Suggestions?

No - that is the solution
The problem is that you are attemptying to access the photos in an incorrct and unsupported way - It you use the correct supported method it works - which as you note works great
The way you always should have been accessing them - using the media browser - in every Open/upload/attach window on the left under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto
See the user tip on accessing yoru files in iPhoto for details on the various supported ways to access them
What your are doing has never been correct and has never been supported - when you do incorrect, unsupported things there may or may not work correctly - the supported method does work corrctly and using supported methods is the total solution to this
