Photos on ipod are not in the order in folder on computer. Why?

I have tried to get my photos to be in a specific order on my ipod for slideshows, but for some reason I can't get the photos to display in the same order from my computer. Any help?

Are you looking at the songs in your iPod by Artist? If so, then songs are listed in album order. If you list them by "Songs" then they should be in alphabetical order. At least they do on my Video iPod.

HT4221 My ipad photos and video are not in any order.

I have a series of photos and videos that I am using Sync Photos, and it loads them in completely absurd orders, different each time I've attempted. It does not follow the naming convention nor the dates in the order it has.
My first sync, the photos were in order, then the video but I wanted both intermixed, following the name of the file and not the .jpg or .mov.
I am syncing from a windows pc using Windows Vista.
I tried using the app Photo Manager Pro, and it has the audacity to rename the files too! So the order there is whacked.
Is there any common sense solution to this, so you know, I can use a modern apple device to view photos and video, in order?

I have looked a little bit more, and it seems as though the video is lagging behind, not the other way around. Video seems choppy, but the audio is playing perfectly. Music Videos are suffering from the same problem as well. Also, when I sync to my iPod Touch 16GB, audio & video match up perfectly.
I still have no idea how to fix this. Please help.

My iPhone 5 says it has backed up my photos but they are not in the Cloud

I have an iPhone 5 that is not backing up to the Cloud. It does a backup but when I check my Cloud not photos have been backed up. What is going on?

Here's how to delete photos from different parts of an iPhoto Library:
Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library
1 - from an Event or the Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:
2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc.: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the trash bin as above.
NOTE: deleting a photo from an album, slideshow, book, etc., with only the Delete key only deletes that photo from that item. Deleting a photo from an Event deletes ALL occurences of that photo in the library.

You can to back up your device and restore as a new device by following the steps in this article:

Before you do that though, try resetting your Home screen layout:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
This will restore the organization of the home screen to the way it came + the apps you've added. It may restore the missing App icons you are speaking of.

My edits in Photos 1.0 are not changing the photos. Are others running into this problem?

I uploaded photos from my iPhone.
When I try to edit them on my Mac, nothing happens. I can move all the adjustment bars (brightness, shadows, highlights, etc., but nothing happens to the photo.

I had the same problem, it never happened in iPhoto.
Simple solution: quit Photos and start again, it will work.

Are you in a country where films can be redownloaded - the page that you posted from should list countries and where the different content types can be redownloaded. But even if you, not all countries have agreed to allow their films be redownloaded, and there is no guarantee that a film (or any other item) will remain in the store, so you shouldn't rely on being able to redownload them. You also can't add films and/or tv programmes to the cloud, whether an item appears there depends upon your country, the film studio, and if it remains in the store.

My Airdrop Photos are not showing the correct date when I receive them from my Family.

You don't need to delete photos from your camera roll to save on backup sizes, you can turn individual items on and off for back up in your iCloud back up settings.
Apple States that the last 3 back ups are accessible, which means the photos from your back up may not be removed immediately.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Oracle insert problem(records not in the order they are inserted)

I tried to insert a word list into a oracle table, everything is fine except that the words are not in the order they are inserted. For example, the words are inserted in the following sequence:
accreted
accreting
accretion
accretionary
accretive
bladebone
bladed
bladeless
bladelike
When I retrived the resultset from the table and iterate through each of the record, the words are not in the order inserted, i.e., it may look like this,
accreted
accreting
bladebone
bladed
accretion
accretionary
accretive
bladeless
bladelike
This strange phenomenon won't happen when the word list is small, like 500 words or so, but when the number of words reaches around 10,000, it takes place. My coworker also experienced this problem when trying to insert large volume of data into oracle table.
The code I used to insert into the DB table:

Well, the best thing to do is follows scsi-boy's advice and add the additional column and either put a sequence number in it from the Java side as you insert, or use an Oracle sequence object to put a sequence number in it from the Oracle side (which is sort of like an auto-generated value, but different).
Note that an Oracle sequence generates numbers in sequence, but possibly with gaps (usually if the database is rebooted), unless you do some things that slow sequences down substantially. Sequences can also be something of a bottleneck on RAC clusters. See:

However, if your coworker is commiting after each and every insert (which is bad form and slows the database down, -10 points), and if your coworker is also never ever ever updating the columns after they've been inserted, and if your coworker is using Oracle 10g and not some older version such as 9i, then your coworker could use the ORA_ROWSCN pseudo-column to order by. Those are very very severe constraints and you shouldn't begin to consider doing it that way without a very good reason, and right now you and your coworker wouldn't know a good reason if it snuck up and bit you on the butt, you've got a lot of learning the basics first.

How do i export photos to a sd card in the order I arranged them in

My mother and I are putting together a digital picture frame album using an sd card. The pictures are in order in an album in iphoto, and a folder on my desktop, but when we drag the folder to the sd card and insert it into the frame the pictures are not in the order we arranged them. Think about how computers work - file do not have "an order" you view them with a program that puts them in an order - in the finder this may be by file name, creation date, modification date, size, etc - in iPhoto it can be by a manual sort, by photo date, etc
So the solution is to understand and see how the photo frame orders photos adn then export the files using something that keeps that order - for example if you are going to be viewing them in date order then manually sor tthem and use the batch change date/time command to set them to accending dates so the photo frame displays the way you want
The order the photo frame displays has nothing to do with iPhoto but you probalby can use iPhoto to set photo or file attributes to accomplish what you want

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there.
Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A Finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache. Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.
