Photos on old iPhone 3G

Ok I've done something wrong I am sure. I synched my iPhone 3G and my iPad 1 on my MacBookPro before activating my new iPhone 4s, however now I realize as I am preparing to give it away that many photos are not on my MacBook. I think all my music is there, but what happened to my photos , and does anyone know how I can get those photos off the old phone?

The iphone is not a storage/backup device.  It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.
Again, the photo sync is one way.
Did you fail to maintain a backup copy of your old computer?
Not good.  You can e-mail the photos from your iphone.  You do not need to have phoe service for this.  The iphone uses wi-fi.  The photos will never be of the original quality, as they are reduced when synced to iphone.

  • How can I recover photos from old iphone icloud backup to new one?

Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...
    Thanks for your time.

Hi, Tiago, maybe you can get help from data recovery software. Now things get easy now.
As far as I know, there are three ways to recover deleted contacts and photos from iPhone 5 with iPhone Data Recovery.
Way 1: Recover deleted photos from iPhone directly
Way 2: Using iTunes Backup to recover deleted photos
Way 3: Using iCloud Backup to recover deleted photos
You can refer the way 3 of how to recover deleted photos from iPhone to recover photos from  old iPhone iCloud backup.
    Good luck to you.

  • Can I transfer the photos from old iphone to new iphone using itunes

can I transfer the photos from old iphone to new iphone using itunes

You can use iTunes or iCloud to move data from old iPhone to new iPhone. If you want a fast way you can try FonePaw iOS Transfer. Here I show you how to transfer data from iPhone to new iPhone:
First of all, backup old iPhone:
-Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
    -Tap Back Up Now.
    -Wait until the backup finishes.
Then set up your new iPhone (When the backup of your old iPhone is finished, turn on your new iPhone ):
    -Choose Restore from iCloud Backup.
    -Tap next.
-Enter your Apple ID and password.
-Choose the backup of your old iPhone and tap Restore.
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

I lost my phone had everything backed up on icloud.
got my new phone, went to retrieve my photos but it duplicated a certain amount therefore used the free 5 gb of data. purchased 16gb then but cant see my old photos or old iphone details  on icloud account. it only shows the certain amount that duplicated but no old phone details or old photos.
    gutted all travelling photos

If you have a backup of your old phone, the backup should include your camera roll photos.  Restoring the backup should recover them.  This explains how to restore an iCloud backup: iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud.

  • Move photos from old iphone to new iphone

All of your photos should be on your computer.  Just sync them to the new iphone.
You should be importing any pics taken with iphone to your comptuer regularly, just to be sure

  • For windows users,  best way to transfer photos from old iphone to new iphone

I have a friend who just purchased new iphone and she'd like to transfer photos from old iphone to new iphone.
What is the best steps for her to take?
    She has a Windows machine.
    thanks in advance!!!

Make sure iTunes is loaded on the PC
If all she wants are photos, she has to have the photos on her PC, not just on the old phone.  The old iPhone backup doesn't save the actual photos, just the setting pointing to where the photos came from.
If the photos are on her PC, your should be able to sync them to the new iPhone with the Photos tab in iTunes (after the new phone is plugged in).
If the photos aren't on her computer, she can copy them from whatever computer has them (assuming she has access to it).

  • HT201317 who to transfer photos from old iphone to new iphone5

who to transfer photos from old iphone to new iphone5 with out the Itunes Backup

    Welcome to the Apple community.
It would be far simpler if you did it through iTunes, however it can be done otherwise.
You need to add all your old photos to your photo stream, which will then sync them to Photo stream on your new device, you can then move them from your photo stream album to your camera roll.

  • How to get photos off old iPhone

I just got the new iPhone 4s. Synced it to my iTunes and iPhoto. I downloaded photos to iCloud from my iPhone 4 before I got the new iPhone 4s. Unfortunately, iCloud was not turned on on my iMac. So, the photos did not go to my iPhoto stream. I tried connecting my old iPhone 4 to iPhoto, but now iPhoto doesn't recognize it. How an I get those photos from the elusive and mysterious iCloud? Or off the old iPhone 4? (Yes, I know I should've synced the 4 before getting the 4s. I did the night before, but then took some Christmas party photos at work, and I really don't want to lose them.)

I downloaded the photos to iCloud from my iPhone4 via wi fi while in the ATT store just prior to getting the iPhone 4s. On my iPhone4, the Christmas party photos are on the camera roll and also on the photo stream. On my iPhone 4s, there are no photos in the photo stream. However, the photos that I took at a concert last night did upload to iCloud and are visible in the photo stream on iPhoto. The Christmas party photos are not on the iPhoto photo stream.
So, where in the iCloud are the Christmas party photos? --- I should've just emailed them to myself the old fashioned way.

  • How do I get photos from old iPhone (not in camera roll) to my computer?

I have an old iphone (the first model) that has photos on it that I would like to transfer to my Mac, but the photos are not in Camera Roll so my Mac isn't recognizing they are there.  I think they are pics from a previous phone that the Apple Store employee transferred over for me.  Is there any way I can get these onto my computer??  Thanks in advance!

The photos not in the camera roll were synched from another computer.  They are not of the original quality as the photos on that old computer; some may be of such poor resolution that they may not even be fit for printing.  Nonetheless, the only way to get them off your computer is to mail them to yourself.  You can search the internet for some sort of photo extractor, but it won't be an Apple product and we can't help you with that on this forum.

  • Problem Transferring Photos from Old iPhone to new iPhone 5S

The old iPhone was backed up via iTunes Backup on a Windows XP PC.  Most everything (apps, music, books) were copied to the 5S via iTunes, but only 1/2 the photos (approximately 700 of 1600).  But when attempting to restore from the backup, iTunes says there is not enough memory.  Further, unless de-selected, iTunes syncs photos from the My Pictures folder.
The old phone shows 2.4 (of 16) gig of storage available.  The new 5S 3.4.
So, is there a way to get all the pictures moved over, in iTunes, the Cloud or otherwise?  Can the photos on the old phone be synced to iTunes to then be synced to the 5S?

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
Import the photos from the Camera Roll on your old iPhone with your computer. You can place all photos in one folder on your computer or create multiple photo albums or folders for select photos.
Under the Photos tab for your new iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select the newly created folder or folders or photos that were imported from your old iPhone followed by a sync to transfer the photos from your computer to your new iPhone.

  • How do i transfer photos from old iPhone to my pc

I would like to transfer my photos from my old iphone to my pc.

Thank you kindly for your reply.  I have read more info about this procedure and need to add to my post.  Transfering pictures as you mentioned above works for pics taken with the iPhone under the camera roll folder.  That does not work for photos in the folder the photo library.
I took synched photos from an old computer to my phone and then sadly lost all the photos from the computer (the computer is gone...long story).  I am trying to get the photos from the photo library not the camera roll.
The above procedure only works for the roll not the library.
I just read on an apple site that you cannot transfer photos where the source was from another computer to your iPhone then back to another computer.

  • Photos from old iphone old computer to new mac new iphone

I have an old iphone 3 which was connected to an old laptop and I want to transfer all the photos in the photo library on my old phone into iphoto on my new mac to then sync with my iphone 4 but they won't import to iphoto, it says I need to enter a password on my iphone but where and how?

Did you go to the developers web site for guidance?
    Ciao.

  • HT201317 I need to get all photos off old iphone

I need to get all my off my old iphone. i got a new one today

Save any photo stream photos to the camera roll, then import the camera roll photos to your computer, as explained here so they are backed up: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then back up your old phone, either to iCloud (if it still has service) or to your computer using iTunes.  Then restore this backup to your new phone to transfer your camera roll photos, text messages, app data, settings, apps and other purchased media, etc.  More details here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109.

  • Importing photos from old iPhone into iPhoto

I've just upgraded an iPhone and am trying to get the photos off the old one onto the computer. Using iPhoto because that's what I've used before. The iPhone is connected via USB and iTunes recognizes it but iPhoto doesn't show it at all, so there's no chance to import anything. Any ideas why the device is not showing up to iPhoto, even while it does show up to iPhoto? Be advised, I have not backed up to the Cloud at all so Photo Stream is not enabled.
And a secondary question: why in the heck would iTunes be set up, under the Photos tab, to import photos FROM the computer TO the iPhone? That's all I can get it to do at least. Why in the world would I want to move photos in that direction, if the iPhone is the camera and the comptuer hard drive is the storage device?

"And a secondary question: why in the heck would iTunes be set up, under the Photos tab, to import photos FROM the computer TO the iPhone? That's all I can get it to do at least. So you can view pics from your computer on your iphone.  For most, then iphone is not the only camera they ever use.  In fact, it is likely not the main camera you would use.

  • How can I view / access an old iPhone backup on iCloud before deleting it?

I have an old iphone back up on icloud and need to delete it to free up space BUT can't access it to see what is contained and if I want / need to keep any of it.
