Photos present in I Photo but not appearing in folders on hard disk

OK so I have been warned about the idiosynchronies of I Photo but this? ...Help! I am able to successfully load from the camera into IPhoto and I am able to open the pics in Photoshop via various roundabout methods yet the new folders that appear in the file lists on the hard disk are empty despite the fact that the images are obviously somewhere in the computer. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

follow the next instructions to find out the path to photos in your iPhoto Library.
There is a way to find out where the original photo is that you have in your iPhoto Library. On this page there are iPhoto Applescripts. One of them is "show image file" I tried it and it does work for iPhoto 5. If you click on the image in your library window and then use the applescript it will open up a finder window with the image file, and you can see it's path of where it is.

Once downloaded, put the folder "iPhoto Scripts" in ~/Library/Scripts
Now navigate to Applications/Applescript
In that Applescript folder is an icon that says "Install Script menu"
double click that icon to install the Script menu in your menu bar. You might have an item called ScriptMenu.menu instead. follow directions on next link

It will look like a little black scrolled paper.
Or you might have an item named AppleScript Utility.app in the folder. Double click to open it and make sure you have show script menu in menu bar checked.
Now open iPhoto, click on a photo to highlight it
Go to the menu bar and click and hold on the Applescript icon
scroll down to iPhoto Scripts, then scroll to "show image file"
Wait for the Finder top open a finder window showing you where the image is.

He gives instructions on the page for the installation of the scripts.
You can also just do a search in Finder for "iPhoto.db" This is a file that is in each iPhoto Library folder. If you have more than one iPhoto Library folder, more than one of these files will come up in the search. Note the path the the files that come up in the search to find the library/libraries.

Open the PSE Editor, not the Organizer.
Enhance>Adjust Color>Remove Color Cast

My photos taken from my iPhone are not appearing in my iCloud account home page. In fact there isn't even a photo icon on my iCloud homepage. In the settings section of my iphone, I have the Photo Stream turned to "on" within the iCloud setting so i'm not sure what the problem is. Any thoughts?

If your phone was locked and you used the camera the picture will be in the camera, once you have unlocked your phone then you will see the pic in the photos - camera roll.

here he talks about what is the real motive for changing R mode to X mode .
So but this notes does an undo operation for the same .
We need to re do the same again in start routine if we want to maintain the deleted records . Also search the OSS by giving the data source name & record mode R , then you will also get the original problem in extractors with R mode .

Additionally, I'd like to be able to take the 2000+ photos out of iPhoto and put them on a disk in a folder. I have managed to export them to the hard disk but it's just plonked all 2000+ photos in a list - not ideal if I want to use it for anything else. And then I have to manually delete the photos from iPhoto. Is there not a quick and easy way of dealing with this?

I too would like to be able to do this. Just put them where i want the. IFTT a scripting app will put the images in dropbox for you , but its been pretty iffy.

The Fan option does not appear for folders in the dock.

any ideas?

Not that I know of. When on the side no fan for folders and no 3D look, which I prefer. Background of the Dock very dark so the white dot showing an app is open is easy to see and it all looks very sophisticated.
You might check with third party apps to see if anyone is changing that, but most people don't like the fan so I doubt if anyone is working to add it in.
