Photos preview and browsing without importing

Is it possible to preview or browse the photos without importing all the phots into the Mac? Sometimes I just want to preview the photos and select the best ones to import into the Mac for further editting and delete the rest of them. But now I must import all of them ino Mac before I preview them in slideshow. It is not that convenient for me. Any good suggestions from you guys?

Muse preview is the closest approximation of how your site would look in different browsers. It is advisable to always preview the site in a browser before finalizing the design.

Accessing photos in iPhoto Library without importing the whole library?

I watched the Aperture video tutorials and thought I saw how to access photos to manipulate from the iPhoto Library without importing the library, but now I can't find the reference!
Ideally I don't want to import the whole iPhoto library as it is rather large.
I simply would like to open photos from it to work on.
However, when I try to import files and navigate to my Pictures folder there is no sign of the iPhoto Library, only an empty file called "iPhoto Library Recovered Photos".
Note that I can access photos in other folders but I can't even see my iPhoto library, let alone open photos from it.

GOT IT AT LAST !
Browse through iPhoto Library as above and drag chosen photo(s) into the project in the Inspector.
The photo can then be adjusted and finally saved by selecting File>Export>Version etc.

How to view photos on SD card without importing them?

I have a 16 gb iPad, with not much available space left. I have an Apple photo kit already.
Is there a way to view the photos at large size _without_ importing them?
Can anyone recommend an app that does this?

Install Dropbox on your computer and put all your pictures in the Dropbox.
Once you install Dropbox on your iPad, you,ll be able to see all those pictures on your computer's Dropbox.

How can I use Ipad to view and delete photos from SD card without importing?

Importantly I would like to view the photos from the SD card in full screen (vs. just a thumbnail) before deciding whether to delete.
It seem's that with the camera connection kit you can only view them as thumbnails before importing.
Any other apps or hardware I could consider?
Basically I would like to use the Ipad as my travel photo editing tool - specifically I want to be able to delete unwanted photos from my SD card without having to actually import them into the Ipad (but would like to be able to benefit from quality of ipad screen to actually review the photos before deleting).

You must import if you want the iPad to have a file to display on the screen.

Page looks different in Preview and Browser

I am using the Acordion Widget on the left hand side of my page and have inserted video from a third party to the right side.
When I click "PREVIEW", I see the page displayed as in the top image. When I click "PREVIEW PAGE IN BROWSER", it shows up as in the bottom image, which, by the way, is the way I designed it to look. Is there a reason for this discrepancy and which should I trust more? I'm not ready to publish yet, so how can I check it in a real world environment?
I'm losing the top and bottom "bookend" images around the Acordion Widget as well as the bottom button. And the video window and text are skewed off to the right.

Pixelation in preview and browser are different.

When viewing my web page in the preview it all looks fine but when I view it in the browser some of the files look bitmapped oven though they have both been generated in the same way.
I have tried making the png's at 100% and 200% to see if that would make a difference and it does not. I am now at a loss and need to publish my site asap. This is driving me nuts!

I have a apple ipod 3 gen and i need to updat from ios 4.3.3 and i have photos that are important they are on photo library and i cant import them to my computer how do i ?

The DropBox import, like regular photo/video import or works for items in the Camera Roll album. Not for photos synced to the iPod like the poster has.
The poster can:
- Email them and sync them to the updated iPod
- Import them via a third-party computer program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. Those are paid apps.

How do i get my 100gb of photos viewable through aperture without importing or duplicating them

I have recently reinstalled aperture onto my mac and I want to have all my photos that are on my external hard drive in aperture but only 'referencing' (i hope i am understanding that term correctly)
I have over 100gb of photos as i am a photographer and i want the best and easiest way to use aperture with out importing them all into to aperture and then having the issue of doubles and it taking up more space.
Am i making sense?

To import referenced set the "Store files" option in the Import panel to "In their current location".

Muse CC 2014 - Does not update properly changes on websites in preview and browser preview

Hi, I am working in a project on Muse CC 2014 and everything in the designer view works pretty well, but when I make change to colors, fonts, menus, etc and click preview, I cant see my changes, instead I saw old version of my project, the same happens on the browser preview, I need help cause I have to get this done today. We purchased CC for teams and upgraded all workers to InDesign CC 2014.2 in March. Because I installed using a package - rather than individually - quite a few plug-ins were not working. This week, I uninstalled InDesign CC 2014.2 on everyone's machine and individually installed InDesign, from the Creative Cloud menu. However, instead of installing the expected InDesign CC 2014.2, it installed InDesign CC 2014. As stated above, "It doesn't even show up that the updates are available, it simply says "up to date"". Obviously this is not true - since we just had 2014.2 last week.
Can someone please let me know why the new install would have regressed to a previous version - and how I might be able to get the current version back?

Sync on new IMac Contacts,photos, music and all without erasing from Iphone

My old computer's motherboard damaged and I bought a new IMac, I want to sync with my new IMac and it says all information will be erased and replaced with new Itunes contents, how do I sync with my new Imac without loosing my contacts,photos, photo albums, music etc..?

Welcome to the discussions,
Deselect automatic syncing and set up at least one contact and event on your Mac, this will give you the option to merge your calendar and contacts when your phone is restored from your backup.
To create this backup, connect your phone and backup manually by right clicking on your phone in the device list in itunes.
Transfer your purchases the same way.

Your phone will be wiped during your first sync and restored from the backup you made when you first connected.
Music and other media content can only be synced back if you bought it in the itunes store.
You'll have to use 3rd party software to be able to copy it back, search for touchcopy or similar programs.

Subject says it all. Seems to me I read a post some time ago that we can do this without going through the infamous MacKeeper.

Just an overdue "ps". I forgot to mention that there was somewhat of a viral rant on MacKeeper (with which I heartily concur) and that OS X software provided all that was needed to do much of the above work. Of course, I forgot what that was.
However, I did purchase, after reading a bucket of reviews, "Tidyup" that appears to be the first, user-friendly, non-obliterating software that does exactly what you want it to. With my first use, I dumped 4 gigs of duplicates without the color draining experience of losing lifetime photographs (can you say, "Spring Cleaning"?).

I created a video in Photo Booth and when I imported it to iMovie, the sound went away.

I have a Macbook pro and have the new OS X Mavericks installed. I have updated iMovie, but there doesn't appear to be a Photobooth update. I need to put 3 videos together in iMovie. Two movies were taken on my iphone and saved on my desktop, the other was created with Photobooth on the same computer. I imported the first 2 videos into iMovie and they work fine. When I tried to import the video created in Photobooth, it said it had to be converted. I converted the video through the computer's option and it played fine on the desktop. Upon importing the converted file into iMovie, the sound disappeared. What am I missing?
