Photos sync terminates in middle on new iPad

I have 20 GB of Photos ( total 11000 pics ) which I'm trying to sync to my new iPad (3rd generation) 64GB LTE model. When the sync reaches step 6 which is to import pics, iTunes finishes the sysn w/o even starting the photo sync. I tried many times but no success. So I restored the fresh iOS 5.1 to iPad and deleted the iPod photo cache folder. It stil had the same issue syncing.
Then I started wih 10 albums at a time. First 10 albums ( 1000 pics) synced successfully. Then I again started next 10 and again the same issue started coming. I noticed that if my album has more than 100 pics iTunes is not syncing it. It synced the alubums with only 10-20 pics.
I am worried if there is no use of me buying a 64GB tablet. Please help me with a solution. One more thing, I have the best laptop with i7 quad core processor and 8 gb ram but iTunes runs like its running on a 286 processor, **** slow.

Hi,
I've not got the answer to your question, but I'm using an iPad 3 with the very same problem.
No matter what I do, sync manually, set the sync settings and run it from the iPad back to the mac mini, it makes no difference. I actually thought it was something to do with buying the songs on the iPad.
While typing this I also tried to sync with my iTunes on our Mac Book and the songs are still there.
All our Apple tech and something daft like removing 10 giga bite of songs is seriously difficult.
Hope somebody has the answer out there as I don't want to reset the thing.

I accidentally synced my mum's brand new iPad to my mac book air. A few days later I realised that my iTune library on my mac is completely gone. So is my iPhone 4s after I synced it with my mac. How do I get my old iTunes library back? I tried using icloud on my iphone but it stated that I have never back up my phone before. So I guess my iCloud data is gone too? But I have back up my mac in my harddrive using time machine. So how do I get my old itune library back? Please help! Thanks!

    1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
above works for purchases from the iTunes store. for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.

How do I import RAW photos from canon 7d to my new iPad 4?

Use the Apple Camera connection Kit and connect your camera directly to the iPad. Turn on the camera and you'll get an option to import.

I have successfully sync'd my macbook and new ipad via itunes, but how do I sync the calendar, please ? I do not have icloud yet.

You can select the calendar to sync in the Info Tab in the iTunes window on the right, when your iPad is connected to the Mac , while iTunes is running and after you select the iPad on the left side under the devices heading.

Have you tried deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-trying the photo sync and see if they all then copy over (you need to select and sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go, as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad) ? The location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314
Don't know about the Facebook photo emailing, but there are a number of apps that allow to upload photos to their site (e.g. the 'official' Facebook app).
(For future info, typing all in capitals is considered SHOUTING - you are more likely to get help/responses if you don't.)

  • How do I transfer my contacts and photos from my iphone to my new ipad please?

I've tried to transfer my photos and contacts list from my iphone 3gs to my new ipad, and they're on the ipad but no longer on my phone. Does anyone know how I can get them back and have them on both devices please?

    Easiest is to:
iOS: Transferring information from your current iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device
Otherwise you will have to sync the new iPod's calendar and contacts to ones that have the old iPod's calendars and contacts.

  • HT204053 how do i sync my iphone to my new ipad

How do i sync my new ipad 4 with my iphone 4s

What do you want to sync ? You can use icloud to keep things such as contacts and Safari's bookmarks in-line between the two, but you can't connect an iPhone to an iPad and copy music, films etc between them - for those you may be able to re-download iTunes purchases directly on the device, otherwise you will need to sync via your computer's iTunes

  • Is it possible to sync an iPhone to the new iPad?

I am guessing the answer to this question is "No," but thought I would ask it anyhow.  I plan to get the new iPad, and ideally would like to be able to sync an iPhone to it.  The iPhone is currently synced to an old computer that we have trashed.  The iPad is being portrayed as a replacement (to some extent) to a computer, but am guessing I will still need an iMac or Mac laptop to which I will sync the iPhone.  Correct?
Assuming I am correct, is it possible to sync both my wife's iPhone and mine to the same iMac?  We have different documents and contacts, etc, so doubt that is possible, also.
    Thanks.
    JoeyC2

    You can do either one.
You can have seperate iTunes media folders or libraries under the same computer login account. This will require logging in and out of each iTunes library before each device is synced. Eliminates being able to sync each device with iTunes via wi-fi without having to log in and out of each iTunes library before doing so.

  • Slow photo streaming from Macbook Pro to new Ipad

How is it that I can stream 1000 photos in minutes with a Mac Book Pro to an Iphone but it's literally taking all day to stream less tha 300 pictures from a mac book to the new Ipad?
Anyone have any comments on this?

I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with the file, just that when you compare performance to other things you stream, you need to remember it probably uses 2 to 3 times the bandwidth on your network.
Have you looked for interference, Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • Can't sync Verizon email with my new iPad

I have Verizon Fios Internet service for our PC.  Am unable to sign up for email on my new iPad using my Verizon.net address.  (Tried both POP & IMAP)  The MSG back to me asks if I want to continue without SSL, which I don't.  Does anyone know of an alternative Verizon address or what I am doing wrong?   Anyone else have this problem?  Thanks for any & all help!!!

Thank you for weighing in so quickly Robofrost! I happened to read another post on this and so I had turned off the iPad, turned of the wireless router - then started it up again and the iPad liked it! It always saw the signal but wouldn't connect for some reason! Cheers!

  • HT2729 Syncing rented movies to my new ipad

I rented 6 movies for a long trip.  Only 2 will sync from my computer to my ipad.  Any suggestions?

You have to have an Internet connection in order to move the movies which I assume that you already know, I copied this from another discussion.
To transfer a rented movie from iTunes, use the movies pane in iTunes. Rented movies transfer is at the top. You must have an Internet connection to transfer a rented movie. Select the "move" arrow in the direction you wish to transfer, and click the apply button at the bottom right. Rented movies can only exist on one device at a time, they do not sync like other video, but move from iTunes to the iPad.
