Photos taken on my Treo 755p are not syncing to my computer, while the rest of the sync process performs flawlessly. The photos used to transfer to the 'Palm' folder under 'My Pictures' on Windows XP. The transfer used to occur with no problem...but I'm currently not having any luck. I went so far as to backup my Palm files, delete the Palm Desktop software, re-install it and then HotSync the new software with my phone. Does anyone have any tips???

Do you have a media section of the Palm desktop? Is there anything in there? Are the pictures on a SD card or the device?

An iPod can pn;y sync wiht one iTunes kibrary and the new computer is a new iTunes library:
- Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by using a third-party probgram like one of those dicussed here:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup

Treo 755 will not sync with my computer anymore

I have a Treo 755 (Palm os) and it will not sync with my computer anymore. I have a PC with Win XP pro SP3. The last time it sync'ed was about two months ago, I had to fiddle with the connection before it would work. Now when I plug the phone in and push the button, the computer chimes but that is all that it will do. After it times out the phone gives an error message. I am thinking that maybe it is the cable or phones contacts that are bad. (It has always been hard to unplug the cable from the phone). I have also tried reinstalling the software with no luck. How can I check the connections, is there another way to sync with my computer?

It said that the connection between my handheld and desk top could not be established. After I posted yesterday I looked though the web site and found were is said to blow out any dust from the terminals on the handheld so I did and it worked. This morning I tried it again and it will not connect. It must be one of the connections either on the handheld or on the cable. Is there a way of testing either? The computer is recognizing the handheld but it just will not communicate.

New photos taken with my iPhone 4s are not being uploaded to photo stream...

Last weekend I tool a few photos with my iPhone and they were uploaded to photo stream as soon as I connected to wifi. I was able to see them on my iPad and MacBook Pro as sooon as I opened iPhoto...
Today I took a few more but they were not uploaded to photo stream when I connected to wifi... I reset photo stream and now it will not update...
I havent really changed any settings on my iPhone... What can I do???

Treo 755p will not sync

I'm having a problem syncing my treo 755p with my Mac.
Here's my setup:
I have Palm Desktop 4.2 installed. I use iCal and Address Book. I synced with Leopard when I first got it, but have not done so after 10.5.2.
Here's what I've done: I've reinstalled the Treo, done a hard reset, I've reinstalled Palm Desktop including deleting all plist files out of Library. I've deleted the isync files and done a Reset Sync History.
The thing won't sync anything between either the computer or the device. I created a test group in Address Book and a test name in Palm Desktop just to see if it would sync either and it synced nothing. Unfortunately for me it did inconveniently delete my contacts off my Treo though.
Thoughts anyone?

I have a Treo 700p and the official line from Palm is that they are not responsible for any hotsync issues, only Palm Desktop (which does, for the most part, work with OS 10.5). Of course I've contacted Apple and they say it's Palm's fault.
Bottom line is neither company will take the blame and they're not communicating with each other (it's been years since Apple's Palm Hotsync or Palm Desktop have been updated), so until the companies decide to work together again, Treo/Leopard users will be screwed into having to buy 3rd party software (i.e. Missing Sync) to be able to properly sync with iCal/Address Book.

If songs are not synced to my computer can i download them again for free?

okay so all i want to know is if i can download my purchased itunes songs again but for free? I recently wet my iphone and had to get a new one. Problem is i didnt get to sync my songs to my computer on time. SO now i want to download all those songs but im afraid they will charge me again. CAn anybody tell me if thats possible? You know to download songs you have previously purchased.

Restore it from a backup, use the Transfer Purchases command in iTunes if it's on an iPod, iPad, or iPhone, or click here and ask. Backing up your purchases is your responsibility.

The downloadable versions of Palm Desktop don't include a Media conduit (though I think the 6.2.2 version does, but it's for Vista users).
You should be using the version that came with your installation disk to get the Media conduit.
You can use version 6.2.2 on an XP box, but I feel it's a "less-capable" version than 4.2

Treo 755p will not go to voicemail

My Treo 755p will not go to voice mail even when the "ignore" button is used. Instead, it calls a phone that used call forwarding to transfer calls to my Treo 755p. Both are Sprint phones. Call forwarding has been cancelled using *720 w/o affecting my problem.

Have you checked with your carrier about this to see if your voice mail is setup on the 755p? Is the 755p setup to forward any calls it gets or you decline?

Photos which are uploaded through icloud control panel are only synced with iPhone but not with iPad. Photos taken with iPhone or iPad are synced with all devices. So, why I do not get the uploaded photos from my pc to iPad? I alredy disabled photo stream on all devices - same failure

If only one device is not getting updated data, you need to troubleshoot that device and not photostream itself.
Verify that ipad is connected to wifi, charged over 20 percent, camera app is closed and take a photo of the screen (or anything else, but then close that camera app).
Open photostream folder on that ipad and see if picture shows up. If you network is good, should not take long.
Don't forget that while your phone can use wifi and cellular (even it suppose to use wifi for photostream, cellular networks got much better since original photostream was implemented) - you ipad is probably wifi only.
If picture shows up - you ipad and photostream have no problems and you can go to other devices one by one.

When I try to download the photos to my PC only the photos taken with the iPhone 4 are recognized and downloaded. I can still see all the photos on the DCIM file but my PC doesn't recognize them. How do I download these old photos?

I've tried both ways. My Computer locates the device but doesn't see the old photos, only listing the new photos.
I no longer have the iphone3; I just transferred the photos from the 3 to the 4.
Was there a format change or file type change or did the transfer process create something different? I can still see and access the old photos if I go to that album on the phone. But that's the only place where I can see them or access them.

you and I know that your answer works because that is how I sync my ipad. I don't have a mac, just a PC with itunes. Now this guy might not even have itunes and is using Windows Media Player or something like that.
Or maybe he just do not want his problem fixed. I read these forums and too many of the questions are just way beyond basic computer knowledge, but it seems to happen that they can never resolve a very simple problem. It makes me wonder if people just post bogus stuff.
I would like to see registration to the forums attached to the product serial number of the forum you are posting to. I bet you that the posts would drop dramatically.

I used Colormunkie Photo to create an .ICM file for printer calibration. When that failed I tried changing the suffix to .ICC. Under neither circumstance did LR4.2 display the file in the menu to select printer profile. There were several display files with both suffixes but no printer files at all. I tried three times with no success and cannot think of what else to try. The first two were the same. I varied the file creation name suffix in the third. Help will be appreciated. My OS is Win 7 ultimate SP1 Printer is HP 2550L laserjet.

Glad you found your answer, Colormunki is smart enough to figure out the color space for the printer as I found out - But for quality work the latest generation of inkjet printers from Epson and Canon are hard to beat, and compared to a laserjet the quality is like night and day. The other benefit of changing up to an inkjet printer is the choice of papers available which you could not put through a laserjet.
I had a colleague that tried printing on Photoglossy paper through his color laser and it fried the fuser, and HP, while they replaced the fuser unit under warranty, made it very clear that that was a daft thing to do.
So if I were in your position I would go with an inkjet and you will then enjoy the benefits of better quality output, better paper choices and with your Colormunki be able to make custom profiles that will work in LR

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

Hmm... It looks like they are gone forever now then. I can't think of any other way of getting them back apart from restoring from an iTunes or iCloud backup. Somebody else might be able to help but I think they're gone forever. I don't know why they were wiped from your iPod but it could be something to do with security. In the future I would recommend syncing to iTunes or iCloud to prevent it from happening again. You can always make a reservation at the Genius Bar and see what those guys can do because it seems that they are still there, they are just 'hidden' from view. http://concierge.apple.com/reservation/gb/en/techsupport/

If you monitor the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads. You aren't the only one having this problem.
One person having a Photo Booth problem, although not the same one as you are having solved it by running Disk Utility/Repair Permissions.
