Photos Taken With Flash Are Not Good

I am an Iphone 5,64gb.The problem is when I am taking photos with the camera in flash mode the picture so taken is being covered with whte shading.Have tried many options but the problem remains.Contacted Apple people, they told me it may be a software issue.Advised me to restore iOS 7.Am not sure it will work even after taking the pain of restoring the iOS 7.Suggestions solicited.

I did some more testing with this, and it appears to be a Gmail problem with iOS iPhoto.
I called Apple support, and this issue was escalated to engeneering.
When sending photos from iPhoto for iOS via Gmail from the iOS device, only the small and medium sized photos can be opened in Mail on the iOS device. The large and original photos do not open in Mail.
This occured across different devices I tested, including iPad 2, 3, and 2 separate iPhone 4S devices. All were updated to the lastest firmware. iPhoto was uninstalled, and reinstalled.
When sending and receiving photos from iPhoto for iOS via iCloud me.com email servers, all the photos of different sizes could be opened in Mail fine on the iOS devices.
It appears that Gmail servers somehow change the way the photos are encoded, and make them not viewable on the iOS device. Very disappointing, since the native Mail program has no problem, and photos sent via gmail or other are fine.

Filters in Bridge: photos taken with flash.

I can't find a way to filter photos, using the filter panel, taken with/without the flash.
In the search menu I can look for pictures taken with flash, but the filter panel would be faster.
Any suggestion?

You could create a Smart Collection and use that instead.
Just set it to current folder and flash equals did fire.
Should do the trick.

Also, remember that there are a few restrictions regarding iCloud Photo Stream:
When do photos upload to My Photo Stream?
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
- iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
- Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
- PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Photos taken on iPhone are not showing up in my photo stream so not appearing on ipad

I took photos on my iPhone yesterday and tried to view on the ipad but did not show up and also are not in my photo stream. Tried turning wifi off and on and resetting the iPhone. Did not help. Any ideas.

Make sure ipad is signed in with same apple id in icloud.
Make sure photo stream is on, on both devices.
Make sure camera app is closed on iphone.
Turn off photo stream wait a minute,turn back on, on both devices.
Powercycle both devices.

Pictures taken with Playbook are not saved

Hello all,
I found myself taking a few pics today with the Playbook at work, thinking I could review them later and prepare a report. To my surprise they were nowhere to be found. This is the first time something like this happens and as a user it's concerning, especially when no warning is issued (i.e. memory or similar). Has this been seen before ? I still have about 500 MB on disk. I appreciate any help devs or other users could please give me.

When you say "other Ipads" do you mean other iPad 2s or the New iPads. The New iPad has a 5 megapixel camera and will take better pictures. If you compared it to other Ipad 2s, check to make sure the camera lenses are clean are not covered. iPads come with clear plastic over the lens on the back for protection.

Photos taken with iPhone camera not syncing during sync

I recently switched from the 3G to the iPhone 4 and have experienced some syncing issues which I never had before. For instance, previously, whenever I would sync / backup my phone, a message box would pop up asking if I wished to add new photos on my phone to my computer. If I chose yes, a folder (which was assigned a name according to the date of my backup) would be created on my computer into which all photos that I'd taken since my last backup would automatically be backed up to.
This no longer happens.
I took a lot of video clips at a wedding that I recently attended and I would like to back up the video and photos to my computer so that I can free up the memory on my phone.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get things back to the way they used to be (ie get my phone to auto-backup all new photos from my camera roll to my computer when synced like it used to)?

Have no idea since iTunes doesn't sync off photos from camera roll. (will embed as part of single backup file with rest of settings, but it doesn't sync photos).
Photos in camera roll get synced off by a variety of means. Like the Camera/Scanner wizard that normally by default pops up unless you altered some setting or installed some other photo software that has taken over that default.
You can also just browse to the phone from My Computer as it shows up as a camera (remember, the camera roll is treated differently than rest of device). Then once you browse to it you can just cut and paste files off.

Try removing your case. Also check to be sure you don't have any protective film covering the flash or the camera lens.

If they are in photos view then they are in an event unless you have a corrupted library
How are you"merging" the photos?
most common issue is either bad sort (view menu ==> sort events) or bad camera dates
select one and show event to see the event

Does the new IOS 8 and instagram only allow pictures taken with the phone? as I can still choose from those, just not the ones I upload/save.
I don't know about instagram, but apps, that not yet have been upgraded to iOS8 can only access the photos that appear in the "Recently Added" album, because there is no longer a Camera Roll.
As a work-around, try to create an album of the photos you want to share to instagram. For other apps this helped to make photos accesible.

If you take a look at the following charts, you will find that both the S110 and the T5i are not supported in CS5, both cameras require photoshop CS6 with a camera raw point upgrade, Photoshop CC or Lightroom 4.3(s110) 4.4(T5).

Emailed photos taken with iPhone not being recieved.
Photos I have taken with the iPhone and then emailed are never received. I have sent them to two different yahoo accounts and neither account received the photos... I sent both using EDGE and WIFI... Same trouble with both...
Any idea why this feature is not working ?

Now it's magicly working.... maybe....
I did as you asked and sent myself emails from my iphone and nothing was received.... tried sending to my yahoo account and my work account... did this 3 or 4 times and nothing was received and nothing was shown as being sent... even though I caould hear the "sent" sound each time....
I then tried sending to my personal and my work accounts and also added one of those to the "CC" line... so that email had 2 email address in the "To:" line and 1 eamil address in the "cc:" line... That one worked just fine !!! got it twice in my personal account and once in my work account.
I then tried emailing the same photo that I had tried before and it too worked correctly...
The only itmes that have shown up in my sent box are the last tow... the email with multipul addresses and the photo that I sent right after...
So... it appears to be owrking at the moment...

Photoshop CS4 does not recognize raw photos taken with newer cameras. Anyone else have this problem?

Photoshop CS4 will not recognize RAW2 photos taken with my new Panasonic Lumix FZ100 camera. This camera is listed in Adobe's 6.2 Camera Raw update for Photoshop CS5 but cannot be loaded in CS4. I paid a lot of money for CS4 and don't want to buy CS5 just because I bought a new camera, but it appears that Adobe no longer updates Camera Raw for CS4 or with newer cameras. When I called the Help Desk to find out if there was some kind of patch I could get to make CS4 compatible with my new camera a gentleman in New Delhi informed me that he couldn't even answer my question until I paid $40 since answering questions about CS4 was a "paid service." I hung up in a rage. Does anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?

Adobe does indeed not update obsolete versions of Camera Raw for new camera types.
And guess what: It’s the camera producers who seem to like to change their raws – so how about spreading some of your indignation their way?
I paid a lot of money for CS4 and don't want to buy CS5 just because I bought a new camera
The upgrade is cheaper than buying the full version.
Anyway, you could try the free DNG Converter which should be able to handle everything the most recent version of Camera Raw can handle.
