Photos to view on TV

PSE 7, Win 7 pro. I want to simply put my photos on a CD or DVD and play on my TV, I'm a first timer and dummy

I Cannot View Pictures in Windows Photo Gallery Viewer

When I open Windows Photo Gallery, all my pictures will be shown in the gallery but as soon as i click on a picture to actually view it, a message pops up saying that an error is preventing the Windows Photo Gallery Viewer from starting. If I click on a
video, however, the video will play; its just the pictures that i cannot view. Do anyone know how to fix this problem or what may have happened to cause this problem? Please Help!

After resizing a photo and viewing in album picture offsets to one side and crashes ios7

After resizing a photo using the edit function , viewing the photo in camera roll
Offsets the picture to one side so its not in the middle , zoom into the pic and zoom back out
The black borders appear at the top and bottom and all looks in centre
But when i flick back and forward through my pics and get back to my
First pic i resized it offsets to one side and the camera roll crashes and freezes

Since you can't drag a photo when viewing in the large mode you can try the following:
1 - make sure the Info drawer on the right side is displayed.
2 - click on a photo and hit the Space bar.
3 - click on the Full Screen button at the lower left.
Now you're in full screen mode with the Info drawer at the right.
4 - either set the rating of the photo to one that you can use to group in a smart album (Command-1 for 1 star, Command-2 for 2 starts, etc.) or add a keyword that can also be used to group the photos in a smart album.
5 - use the right or left arrow keys on the keyboard to move to the next or previous photos.
6 - when complete go to the smart album and drag the photos into a regular album.

Downloaded the recent update, now I cannot sync photos nor view my photos on my phone.

Try this:
First create an empty folder...no photos in it...now, connect your phone and under the photos tab select sync photos & select this folder. Since there is nothing in it, no photos will be added to your phone, but hopefully this will remove the photos that are on your phone.

and you move the mouse back and forth to view thumbnails of each
photo, you click a photo and it open in the box below the
thumbnails, and so on...
does anyone know where i can get such a script from please, i
have tried scriptseaech.com looking for scroll photos and photo
scroll, but nothing is what i have seen befor on other site.
hope someone has a similar script that they can let me use or
tell me where they got it from.

When editing a photo with external editor I can't open that photo in viewer

When I edit a photo in an external program like NIK Collection after I save the photo I can't open any pictures anymore in Aperture. Mosaic and grid view is no problem but in full Viewer nothing happens. When I restart Aperture I can, untill the next edit.....

Can photos be viewed on a second monitor while being edited?

I have the use of a second monitor (better screen resolution) when using my laptop to edit photos. Is it possible (in PSE 9) to use the second monitor to view the photo as I edit, but keep the editing tools on the laptop monitor. This would maximise the size of the image that can be viewed. Thanks.

I can set up the second monitor either as a copy of the laptop monitor (not ideal) or as an extension of my laptop monitor. This being so, how can I get the image across to the external monitor? Can it be "dragged and dropped" or is there some other way?

Photos not viewing in album

First of all iphoto has worked fine so far, I am pleased with it. However I created photo albums with photos from my library, but when i open the albums the photos are only showing in the thumnail above the albums with the page mumbers. They are not showing on the actual album pages, I tried dragging onto the album page, but they just go back to thumbnail. I have added pages, use autoflow to assemble my albums. I checked all 113 pages of disucssion site, found a few related problems to mine, but found that they are using iphoto 4 and I have 5, therefore I am afraid to experiment with thier resolves, soas not to delete and loose my potos altogether. I have deleted some from Library, before I discovered the problem. I am just wandering as to where they might be and how can i view them in the album? Can you Help!

All Black Photos When Viewing/Editing

I recently moved my photo library into iPhoto from a PC formatted external hard drive and when I try to view/edit any of my pictures they come up as a black screen. However, when I play them as a slideshow or view them in Finder they appear normal. Anyone ever had this problem?

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Fuzzy photo, when viewed on iPad.

Dreamweaver novice working on a personal site; worked in Photoshop since the early 1990s. I created graphics in Photoshop that competent web designers would do in Dreamweaver. It worked well, until this page.

The overlay mat and thumbnail images are all elements of a single jpeg image. Of numerous similar pages, this was the only problem. Viewed on an iPad (1st gen. or current model) — it’s noticeably less sharp than images inserted into similar pages.
Once I figured it out, the fix was simple. I cropped the photo (vertical axis). The original photo was 900px wide X 3292px tall; the new one is 900px wide X 2154px tall.

The problem is in the photo itself, not the overall page height. There is no loss of sharpness, for example, when a second image is inserted into the next row in the table — even though that extends the page farther down than the original jpeg did.

Any work-around here, other than spreading images over a certain height over two consecutive rows? I’m starting work on another (job related) site that will be viewed mostly on iPads.

On the web, less is defintely more.
First main image is 1,009.38 KB (1,033,604 bytes) in file size.
Nobody wants to download a 1MB image if they don't need to. Especially people on mobile devices who may be paying through the nose for bandwidth.
I would suggest limiting yourself to 6-9 thumbnail size images per page and optimizing them in PShop with Save for Web properties. You'll need to sacrifice a bit on quality to keep file size to a minimum. I like to keep thumbnails around 20KB and full size images under 100KB.
You could then deploy a modal window viewer like Fancybox to display larger images on click/touch.

Photo Library view with all pics

I have pics in separate folders synced to the iphone. Some for general viewing others for my viewing only. However, the photo library displays all of the pics. Any way to remove the photo library folder / view?

There's no way that "iCloud Photo Library" is a duplicate service of Photostream. Photostream was just a sharing mechanism, only good for a limited time and for a limited number of photos. Photostream should never be used for "storage" but only for "sharing" ... and that's it. Photostream is extremely temporary and "volatile" (so to speak).
iCloud Photo Library, on the other hand, is permanent storage and ... thus ... is not temporary like Photostream. iCloud Photo Library doesn't have a time limit or a "number of pictures" limit ... only limited by the size of space you want to buy.
And ... once you activate iCloud Photo Library on your iOS device, the Photostream album on your device disappears.

When a photo is viewed in iPhoto 9.6, why is it sharp then immediately goes out of focus?

When viewing photos (full window), the photo initially is sharp then immediately goes a little out of focus. Thanks to some previous forum responses, a fix is to slightly shift the zoom button to the right, clearing the photo right up. When going through 100+ photos, obviously this is an untenable fix. I assume this is a bug that needs repair.

As a follow-up, I found that if I hold the left mouse button down while on the zoom button, no matter where it is on the slider, the same effect happens, that is that the photo goes out of focus. Once released, the photo sharpens. This DOES NOT happen when the zoom slider is all the way to the left. There as stated earlier the photo stays out of focus.

Dumb Question - default photo file viewing

OK, this is any easy question -- and tho I have searched for the answer I can't find it. I use aperture and photoshop and here is my question.. (and it's sort of but not totally related to Aperture.. but I use adobe in conjunction w/ aperture, so here I post my query)
Once I save a photo as jpg (not as a psd) after editing it in Photoshop CS and try to open it later, the default program is set to Photoshop even tho I saved it as a jpeg and I want to open it in PREVIEW as it opens faster for simple viewing. What I end up having to do is right click and select 'Open With' and go down the list to Preview. How do I change the default to PREVIEW? I have hunted & searched for the answer, for longer than I wish to admit, but the answer is, apparently so obvious - it has escaped me.

BTW, this is good, because another Adobe program, Acrobat professional is set as the default for pdf files and I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten that and simply clicked on the pdf file to open, only to see the adobe acrobat icon bouncing, beginning its lengthy 'opening' only for me to shake my head, force quit and manually select Preview as I only wanted to read the pdf not edit it. I'll get that taken care of too. It is much appreciated. Thank you very much!

How do I view all my pictures in Photo Library View?

I have over 4,000 photos. They are all viewable in various libraries but NOT the Photos library. I can only see a few hundred in there.

I too have had the same issue. I can not see any of my pics in "photo" view. As far as I can tell no filter is set. I solved the problem by creating a folder and putting all of my projects and folders into it. It then has become my work around "photo" folder. All my pictures are stored in the Aperture library. I trashed my aperture.plist file and restarted. Didn't help. Pictures show up in all other projects or folders. Seems to be an odd quirk. But I guess I don't need it now!
