Photos will not download to iPhoto 6.0.6 from Canon 1D Mk IV

I have iPhoto 6.0.6.
Today I was unable to download RAW photo files from a Canon 1D Mk IV to iPhoto.
Solution?

You'll need 10.5.8 (or 10.6.2) plus Camera Compatibility Update 2.7 plus iPhoto 08 or later Minimum to work with the Raws from the Mark IV

I need a driver that will work for my Sony DSC-S50 camera, I took my Mini to the Mac store to eject two CD's stuck. Now my camera will not download to iPhoto like it did before.

I'm sorry, but there is no 10.7.5 - do you mean 10.4.x or 10.5.x or 10.6.x?
I asked because 10.6. (which you have now) no longer supports the classic environment, but previous OS's did. So, if the store "upgraded" you to the latest OS when you had it in for repair, then that would be the reason. So, if you can't remember which OS version was on it, I would call or go to the store and ask if they changed the OS version. Now, I'm not sure what a Sony Driver Disc is - do you mean it's the software that came with your camera? Depending on the format of your camera cards, you should be able to use a USB card reader instead which might be easier to deal with.

Just installed Iphoto 6 and many photos will not import to Iphoto...

About half of my photos from one of my rolls from this Spring will not import into Iphoto6. I can open them up from my hard drive but they will not import into Iphoto. Any tips?

Even though you've gotten back up and running if you have any thumbnails that show up as blanks again try the following: download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, substituting your account name for mine. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.
The blank thumbnails after updating to v6 are often a result of permissions on the files getting messed up somehow preventing you from having access to them. Running BatChmod on the library folder as demonstrated will force the correct ownership and permissions on all of the files.

Some photos will not open in Iphoto

Since updating to Mountain Lion, I find a few thumbnails will not open for edit or export in Iphoto. I just get an icon and a message that the original is missing or corrupt. What can I do?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Photos will not sync to iPhoto

Photos that I take with my iPhone appear fine on the phone, but will not sync (unreadable file) or are corrupt (blackout or whiteout stripes or funky neon colors). I read another post that asked about other items plugged into the USB port, but all I have is a wireless Apple mouse that uses a DLINK bluetooth adapter in the USB port next to the one my iPhone is using. This is the second consecutive set of photos I cannot download, so it is not the photos themselves, but something else.

Just so you know, iPhone's email shrinks the images to 640 x 480 for sending. The only way to get a full quality image off your camera is by syncing so you need to get that problem resolved. Do you have your iPhone connected by a USB hub or are there any other USB devices connected to your computer? It's been reported that these can garble photos. Make sure your iPhone is plugged directly to the computer USB port and nothing else is connected. Also sometimes scanner software can be trying to access a USB port even when not plugged in.

My iphone photos will not upload into iphoto?

When I try to upload my iphone photos into my iphoto it will load the photos but will not let me import the photos. I have tried several times and even let it sit over night, it seems to stay frozen and will not let me upload them. I need to create more space on my phone but it will not allow me to upload photos on iphoto? What can I do? Is there another program to upload my photos into?

I have over 1000 photos in my photostream on my mac computer. However, since about 95% are over 30 days they will not sync to my ipad, how do I manually sync them to photostream on my ipad from my mac computer? I have done it before, but I can't remember. I have turned icloud off on my ipad and turned it back on, as well as turned photostream off on my computer. Please help! All the photos are on my iphone 4.

Put them in an album and connect the iPad to your Mac. Open iTunes and under Photos in the iPad's section select the option to sync that particular album with the iPad.

Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

Safari Will Not Download pdfs: On One Site and from One Computer Only

On only one computer, at only one web site (my own creation), I suddenly cannot get pdfs to open in Safari 4.0. What might be happening?
1. I have created 5 web sites for my business. I use RapidWeaver from RealMacSoftware.
2. Each of the 5 sites I’ve created has downloadable pdfs.
3. Two of the sites are password protected, but this does not appear to be the source of the problem.
4. One of these two protected sites (Site A) will not open any pdfs on the site in a Safari browser window on my Intel iMac running 10.5.7. When I click on a pdf link in Safari, I get the gray spinning wheel on a white page (which does not stop after 10+ minutes). If I try to reload the page, a white page results. Trying any other pdf link on this site produces nothing but a white page.
5. If I option-click on the link, the pdf downloads fine, but I then have to open it. It does not open in Safari, but rather Reader.
6. This behavior does not occur on two other Macs in my office. One, a MacBook Pro running 10.5.7 and Safari 4.0, opens the pdfs in Safari just fine. Another, a G5 running Tiger with Safari 4.0, also works fine. (FWIW: No problems on Dell running XP Home, via either Explorer or Firefox.)
7. The behavior also does not occur on the other protected site I have created (Site B) or on any of the other unprotected sites. All computers, all browsers—no problems.
8. I have the latest Adobe Reader version (9.1.2).
9. I have repaired permissions and restarted—no luck.
10. I have republished Site A through RapidWeaver, but there is no change. My web host had a power failure a day or two ago, but all sites were up and running yesterday.
Any clues about what’s going on? I have intentionally not downloaded the apparently available Safari version 4.0.1 because of the several problems reported on the boards.

I tried logging in to the guest account and got a slightly different result: Two of the five websites I've created with RapidWeaver now do not display pdfs using the Adobe Reader plugin.
The common thread now is that the two that don't work are the password protected sites. When I boot back into my main account, the original problem returns: Only one site doesn't work; the other one does.
Still only on one computer.

Lightroom 5.2 CC will not download after deleting Lightroom 5.2 from my machine

Prior to signing up for Abobe CC Photoshop and Light room Package I had downoaded and updated my destop computer based Lightroom 5 to 5.2. Subsequently, I decided to register for the CC PS and LR package offer. After registering for the clould based products I received the CC download home screen and selected PS,BR, and LR for installation. PS amd BR loaded as the CC product; however the LR product simply said up to date and showed no CC. A response to this question in Lightroom Killer Tips indicated that PC computer-based LR 5.2 needed to be uninstalled prior to donloading/install LR 5.2 CC. After making a copy of my machine based LR 5.2, I uninstalled the program and rebooted the machine. I then again invoked the CC APP window and attempted to download LR 5.2 CC. Once again the CC App window indicated the LR app was up to date but did not download/install the LR 5.2 CC version.
I like the PS-LR CC concept, but I don't want to be paying for an app that I cannot install and operate.

Reinstall the original 5.2 and forget the CC version for now. It's exactly the same piece of software. What you did get was a second license, useful if you have more than two machines, but completely redundant if you haven't.
The situation is different when Lr 6 comes out. You'll get that as part of CC and don't need to purchase the upgrade. So at that point you can just install CC and leave 5.x where it is.

TS2634 Have 3GS iphone... photos will not download to my pc when I sync. Problem?

Have 3GS iphone... for some reason I cannot get my photos to download to my pc when I sync. My Adobe Photoshop used to try to download the pictures.... now it does not try or if it does it soon cancels itself. Icloud the source of the problem? How to fix? How to download the picks..... and remove them from phone?

My Canon Camera is hooked up to my computer but the last 100 photos will not download!?!?!?!

I have never had trouble getting the photos off my camera before but I have tried for 2 days and nothing shows up on my computer screen when I have my camera attached to my computer. I cannot download my last 100 photos!!!!??

iphoto - I am publishing an album to MobileMe Gallery, it publishes, I see the album and then when I go to the gallery, it isn't there. Then a box comes up, saying it has been deleted. This has happened to me before and then I go on another time and it seems okay. Could it be a glitch happening at the time with MobileMe as I use this process regularly and it mostly works.

I got my 4s phone on christmas with apps already on it( from my dad ) and i was able to get a few apps(2 or 3) on it but the next day I got an app and it said waiting. Ignoring it, I simply went on with life but then a couple hours later it still said waiting. Then i waited about another hr, then two, then a day, then two days, now its been "waiting" for five days. I even downloaded it on iTunes on my iMac then hooked it up and still did nothing. (I also added a couple apps with that one from iTunes and they dont even come up.) I really want my apps and dont want to call Aple or AT&T. Help Please...
