Photos Won't Appear on Ipod

Hello
While doing a normal update I received a balloon message from my systray that the photo database was corrupt and to run chkdsk, which I did. After that, it appears the photos are being copied over to the Ipod - all 98. But they don't appear on the Ipod!
Any ideas?
Thanks

See if this helps.

Also, make sure that you deleted all the iPod Photos Cache folders, there can be more than one.

  • Photos Won't Start on iPod Touch [2.0 Firmware]

I've got a strange issue with my iPod Touch (running 2.0 firmware). It appears that my 'Photos' preinstalled application won't start anymore. Since upgrading to 2.0, I hadn't sync'd any photos to my device and when I launched the app, it would just tell me that I had no photos as expected.
Recently I was reading an email and 5 photos were attached and I wanted to save them to the iPod, so I clicked Save All. After I clicked the button there was a delay (~1min) and I crashed back to the springboard. I say crashed because I didn't receive an error or confirmation message that the pics had been saved.
I then attempted to launch Photos and now whenever I do so, a blank list appears and then I crash back to springboard. Not really sure what's going on here and I'm thinking I may have to restore my device.
Anyone else run into similar behavior?

Hmmm.. that's an interesting problem you have. While I originally thought that we might have the same problem, I think we're just showing the same symptoms. I went ahead and pulled the trigger by using the Restore function. Sure enough.. soon as Restoration was complete, I tapped the Photos button and as expected, the "No Gallery" or "No Photos" picture (I forget what exactly it states) was viewable.
I lost all my data, but everything is still on my local machine so this was a viable option for me.
I'm not sure if this will help you, but when I used the Restore function, I didn't opt to Make a Backup.. I just sync'd all my content manually after restoration. Maybe try that..

  • Photos won't appear.

Before I explain what's going on let me explain what I did cause everyone I've asked so far always wants me to explain what I did first.
My computer needed to be wiped clean. The only thing I cared about on it were the 3953 photos on there. I figured my IPod is large enough to hold them so why not put them on my iPod and then clean this PC out. So everything went smooth I can view the photos on my iPod and such.
Computers cleaned and has a fresh OS in it. I go to put the photos back on the computer so I can remove them from my iPod, but only 386 photos show up on the computer the others are not there. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING ITunes wont even pull theses up. and before I start emailing them 1 by 1 to myself I figured I would ask here.
To be direct "iPod won't show SOME of my photos, 386 out of 3953 are only appearing to be transferred to computer. I've tried moving them to different folders, searching for them on iTunes, playing with the settings, and even downloaded some crappy program that found them but wanted me to pay 59.99 to move them on my computer" I could literally see them on the program, which has brought me to believe it is some restriction apple has that's not letting me access them. I had read somewhere, which this could be wrong, that I can only see the photos on the computer I uploaded them with. I hope this isn't true, and I know I'm about to sound like a 12 year old here but, is really stupid its a portable device I should be able to use it like one.
Sorry if my attitude is coming off as a jerk but I'm really not trying to be, I just want people to understand the issue. I've been asking on allot of forums and people send me links to topics that are similar but not what I'm having issues with like, "MY IPOD ISN'T SHOWING UP ON MY COMPUTER/ITUNES". This is NOT my issue, my iPod is showing up fine. So please actually read my post before you start posting links to other topics that are not helpful to me in any way.
                                                                                                                                                                                                         Thanks a bunch!

To get photos that were synced to the iPod on to another computer you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. Those are paid programs.
The iPod sees the rebuilt computer as a new compter.
    That is the only way.

  • Photos won't sync to iPod Touch

I have an iPod Touch 8GB with iOS version 4.2.1 and I'm having an issue with syncing photos. I try to sync a folder of pictures and the statue bar area where iTunes tells you what its doing, it goes through syncing, backing up, and says optimizing pictures, and goes through them quick but then give me this error:
Some of your photos, including photo "XXXXXX.jpg". Were not copied to iPod "iPod Name" Because they cannot be display on the Ipod.
    What should I do?

  • Why songs from library won't appear on ipod

Why does the songs added to my itunes library not appear on my ipod now. It worked fine until a few days ago.I have icloud.

You might need to turn off iTunes Match on your iPod, then after a minute or so turn it back on to reload your itunes library.

  • Moved library from '08 to '09 and the photos won't appear

So I moved my library from iPhoto 08 to 09. The library is still a massive size on the new computer, so I'm assuming the file is complete. However, when I actually open this new library there appear to be no photos in it.

How are you opening the library?
How did you move the library?
Where does the library reside now?
have you renewed the iPhoto preference file? A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.
Have you rebuilt your library using iPhoto?

  • ITunes Movie Works on iPad, but Won't Appear on iPod Touch

I've got a TV show that I ripped from a DVD and converted to .mp4 format so I can watch it on my iPod Touch when I'm traveling. I dragged it into iTunes and it shows up and plays properly within iTunes.
When I click the checkbox for Sync Movies and the checkbox next to the video in iTunes to sync it to my iPad, it shows up fine in the Videos app.
But when I click the exact same checkboxes on my iPod Touch, it doesn't work -- when I launch the Videos app, it says, "No Videos."
    What's could be going wrong?

Also, there's plenty of room on the iPod Touch -- 4.5 GB free and the movie is only 214MB.

The iPod touch 5 battery won't charge, the iPod battery gets hot and doesn't turn on...  What is wrong?  Can photos and data be retrieved?

    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. I suspect a hardware problem  due to the hotness. If iTunes can't see the iPod then uor only hope if to contact a data recovery company for getting data off the iPod.
