Photoshop 12 Installation Problems (boxed version)

Clicking on setup.exe (in Windows 7) produces this error message: adobe photoshop elements12\setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Generally this error occurs because there is a problem reading the disk. Try copying the contents of the disk to a folder on your desktop and then running Setup.exe from there. If you get an error during the copy process (like and in/out error), then there is some sort of damage to the disk. Simply go to Adobe.com and download the trial version of the software. Your serial number will turn it into a full version (the trial installation files are exactly the same as the files on your disk).

I have had problems installing Version 4.7 Originally it worked but when I updated there were files that would not register.
I have 'cleaned' the registery of all Blackberry and Research In Motion references and completely uninstalled the Software.
A fresh installation still will not register:

This results in Media Manager (Roxio) not working - will not open due to a Runtime Error. Everything else appears to work OK.

It is important to know the exact error being generated, as runtime errors can point to several different causes or fixes depending on the version of Windows. Hello,
at first I was facing problems downloading Illustrator with the download manager. That finally worked using IE instead of FF.
Now I'm having problems installing Illustrator. I've tried three times. The install routine works to the end. I ignore the reapeated initial warning that I'd have to restart the computer in order to proceed. This warning always shows up with all Adobe installations. At the end of the installation routine I get messages like these:

I'm using Windows XP Professional SP3, browsers FF and IE, all latest versions. Installed Adobe software: MX2004 suite except Fireworks, I'm using Fireworks CS5.
In the Windows start menu there's no Illustrator. The installation directory is empty. Yet I find Illustrator as installed software in the control panel. When uninstalling I get errors thet Illustrator and Fireworks files are somehow mixed and common files of both installations will not be uninstalled.
Running programs have been deactivated during installation.
I don't know what else to do. Obviously not many experience similar problems or either they just give up and use other programs, as there aren't many postings of the kind. Does anybody have a helpful clue anyway?

Run the CS5 clean script, delete the caps.db, then run the install again for any CS3/CS4/CS5 products you may need. For more details, read this and this.

Photoshop Installation problems

I recently downloaded the Security Updates for Leopard last week and Photoshop would crash at launch. So I decided to reinstall Photoshop. Installation goes fine. I go to launch PS and I get an error stating "Licensing for this product has stopped working.
You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling this product or contacting you IT administrator or Adobe Customer Support for help."
After doing this 10 or so times I getting a little irritated. I ran the CS3 Clean several times until it told me it didn't delete anything anymore. So I turn to you guys for guidance and appreciate any help you can give.

Photoshop installation problems - Windows 8.1

So I got adobe elements 13 & adobe premiere elements 13 in which i recieved via a gift card. I have followed the instructions on how to install e.g
1. visit the website
2.enter the redemption code from the card
3.download the software using the provided links
4. install the software, enter the serial number when prompted.
When i download the software, i clicked a little button at the bottom "open when installed". After 2 hours, it didn't open nor did any other tab appear on my screen. I went to downloads and the files are there, except no further installation process so i am currently stuck on what to do. I have restarted my laptop 2x and i cant find the files. I also went on control panel, uninstall a programme to see if it actually downloaded but it isn't there? I feel as if i have the folders and documents on my laptop except for the actual aplication.

i installed adobe after effects and tryed to run adobe photoshop installer.
after few seconds After effects setup apears!...ok i tryed several times...from other accounts...deleting cache, but didnt worked..i downloaded again photoshop installer (cs3, same version) and tryed again..same issue, after effects setup apears...

I found another interesting thing,
if i go to the "Programs and Features" manager it shows me that Adobe After effects and adobe Photoshop are installed, but if i click on delete/uninstall photoshop, uninstall managar from After Effects comes up... eh eh =]
i think there is a specific error with my harddrive, how can i analyze if something is wrong with my computer...
Anyway, you can check this by using teamviewer. i got icq and msn ;)

I am trying to install my Photoshop 7.0 that I just purchased. When I click the Photoshop 7.0 icon, a window pops up titled "Adobe Photoshop" and reads "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop under OS X, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer under OS X and re-install Photoshop or custom install the "Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X Tune-up"."

This error message refers to the Color Profile support files that Photoshop 7 uses. You normally get this error message if the version of Photoshop 7 you have installed is a drag copy and not installed from the original installer disk. If you do have the installer disk the tune-up section is accessed by simply selecting custom install and cherry picking what you want from there. Unless you are really precise about the quality of color you wish the monitor to display as well as what is output it is safe to ignore the message. Photoshop defaults itself to the Adobe sRGB color space anyway which gives fairly good color reproduction across a wide spectrum of subjects.
I could go into the finer points of color and how it is reproduced but I think it goes beyond what the OP originally intended.
I can understand what the other posts are saying but my experience has been that Photoshop 7 works fine with all versions of the OS from 10.1.2 through to 10.5.1 (as well as OS 9.2.1/2) regardless of what hardware is being used. However I would stick with at least CS2 if the hardware is an Intel based Mac, preferably CS3 as CS3 was designed to run on Intel Macs. Ironically installing and running CS3 on a non-Intel Mac gives performance problems. Perversely installing and running CS2 on an Intel Mac shows performance problems as well - it runs slower. The same is true for versions of Quark. Namely Quark 7 runs fine on Intel Macs but slow on PPC Macs and Quark 6/6.1/6.5 runs fine on PPC Macs and slow on Intel ones.
This is by no means definitive and is meant as a guide only. I have personally seen these symptoms on a wide range of units ranging from Graphite and Quicksilver G4s as well MDD G4s, iBook G3s and G4s, PowerBook G4s and pretty much all of the Intel range.

I was installing OCS windows single-box version.
I failed the first installation because of bad unzip files.
and then I deinstalled all components(i would say component) that I failed the installation.
I tried to install ocs second time, but
whenever i came to Oracle9iAs installation
the dialog comes up and says :
"All Oracle9iAS installations on a host must be installed by the same operating system user. The initial Oracle9iAS installation located at C:\Jason\OCS\mtier was installed by a different operating system user. Please exit this install, log in as the user who installed the initial Oracle9iAS installation, and restart the install. "
I've installed ocs with the same user. I'm 100% sure it is.
now I tried several times ( I think over 10 times )
install and deinstall and install again.
anybody got this same problem with me?
any idea?

Uninstall did not remove Oracle registry keys.
You should do that manually. If you have only one home on Your machine then You should uninstall key :
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE
If there are more then one home you should remove keys:
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME(n)
where n is number of Collaboration home : HOME1 or HOME2
Also you should uninstall all collaboration services
MyComputer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services.
But only collaboration services must be uninstalled

If you registered PSE before, go to the main page of adobe.com, sign in and go to your account and you should find the serial number there in your purchases.
