Photoshop 13 wont install off disc. Can I download it and still use the serial number off the box?

Tried everything to install Photoshop Elements 13. Sits at 11%. There is a C++ issue even though there is no issue!! My question is can I download it from Adobe and use the serial number off the box?

I then installed a purchased product from Adobe disc using the serial number on the case. But when I try to launch it, I get a screen headed Photoshop CS5 Extended Trial. It asks for the serial number and says that my trial has expired. It rejects the serial number from the Adobe case saying "This Serial Number is not valid for this product". It thinks that I still have the expired Trial Version installed. How do I convince it (the program) that the Trial Version is long gone and the currently installed product was installed with a valid and accepted serial number????

What program, and did you buy the UPGRADE version, or the FULL version?
Your description indicates that you bought an upgrade version... which requires proof of a previous version to install
So, if you had A and you bought A+ you need to provide your A serial number during install so A+ knows you are legal

Where can one find the serial number on the package of Adobe Photoshop Elements II ?

I have tried every single approach known to man, to get my software loaded into my laptop... I cannot locate the serial number on my box of Elements II, then fournd the reddemption code.. tried to find that on the web, with no success, then called Best Buy three times, maybe four.. no one knew how to help me, there, either --they should be able to at least, tell me where to find the serial code, somewhere on the packaging.. no matter what number, or approach I have used, for the last three hours.. none of them work.. can someone make any suggestions as to how to get this program installed ? The people at Best Buy, had no clue, and bounced me from person to person... then put me on their Geek Squad number, which played bad, scratchy MUSACK for twenty minutes, and no one ever picked up there ! So someone at Adobe MUST have some sort of suggestion on getting this loaded ! Bonnie

Soyouca how did you install Photoshop Lightroom? Please uninstall the current installation using the uninstaller located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
Once Photoshop Lightroom is removed please download a fresh copy of the installation files from Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh. The update contains the full installer so please download the latest version of Photoshop Lightroom 5.

There's actually an even simpler solution that doesn't include buying a new version of Logic. He can use his original version easily. Of course, that depends if the OP knows how to effectively use his computer though...

I recently purchased a macbook pro from eBay which had Flash CS4 already installed on it, but which didn't come with the original documentation or CDs that would have had the serial number. The seller said he would send along the appropriate numbers when he tracked them down, but he never got back to me again. I'd like to upgrade to Flash CS5 now, so is there any way I can find the serial number through the software itself? I've seen similar threads to this one elsewhere in the forums and the most promising answers have involved people locating truncated numbers in the software and asking Adobe to decrypt them. Unfortunately, I can't even find these truncated numbers... anyone have advice?

Chances are you do not own the rights to use or have that software installed on that machine. If the seller was only going to supply you with numbers and not transfer his/her license thru Adobe channels (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/152/tn_15281.html), the seller would probably be in violation of the End User License Agreement (illegally providing a copy to another individual). If the seller still retains the license, the copy on your machine would have to have been erased before the sale... and still needs to be.
This is likely to apply to other software that was installed on the machine by the seller.

I am installing my version of cs3 which is an upgrade version, but my company does not have the serial number of the original product that was upgraded. I am not sure what that product was, i.e. Creative Suite or Macromedia. I thought my serial number was enough.

You should check your Adobe account online to see if it has the information you need. If not, there is likely little chance of you being able to confirm your eligibility to use the upgrade version.
