Photoshop 2014 und Hanvon Artmaster III

Hallo. Habe Vorgestern die 2014 Version von Photoshop geladen und musste leider feststellen, das mein Tablet nicht mehr unterstützt wird. Heißt, weder die Druckintensität noch die Stiftneigung. In der alten Photoshop CC geht alles korrekt. Gibt es dafür eine Lösung?

Hallo. Also bei mir läuft Windows 8.1 und das Tablet ist ein Hanvon Art Master III, Model: AM3L. Wie gesagt, mit dem alten Photoshop CC alles perfekt. In der neuen Version keine Unterstützung. Neue Treiber gibt es von Hanvon nicht. Funktioniert ja auch, nur nicht im neuen Photoshop

Das hat mit PS relativ wenig zu tun. All diese Nachahmertablets verwenden nur die Wacom-API und das ist das einzige, was auch in PS implementiert ist. Natürlich wird die 2014 eine neuere Version von Wacom eingebaut haben und da muss eben der Hersteller des Tablets einen neuen Treiber liefern.

Photoshop CC 2014 - und Bridge CC

Nach dem Update auf CC 2014 steht in der Bridge unter "Werkzeuge" die Photoshop-Stapelverarbeitung für ausgewählte Thumbnails nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Fehler bei mir oder allgemein?

Ergänzung: Es gibt auch noch den kostenlosen, aber besseren Bildprozessor Pro von Rüssel Brwon, den solltest Du Dir auf jeden Fall ansehen.

Photoshop wars. Neuinstallation von PS hat die Funktionen in Bridge wieder hergestellt. Danke vielmals.
Der Vorteil der Stapelverarbeitung aus Bridge ist für mich, dass ich nicht nur ganze Ordner, sondern am Leuchttisch individuell ausgewählte Dateien verarbeiten kann.

Es sind zwei unterschiedliche Versionen.
Photoshop CC = Version 14
Photoshop CC = Version 15
Auf der Produktseite wird immer die aktuelle Version beworben, aber CC stellt bereits drei Versionen zur Verfügung: 13 (CS6), 14 und 15.
Mit CC 2014 wurde mit Ausnahme von Bridge alles um eine Versionsnummer gehoben und eine neue Version eingeführt. Die neue Version kann ja auch parallel zur Vorversion gestartet werden, was mit DOT-Versionen nicht möglich ist.
Und in der CC.app sind alle drei Versionen auch als unterschiedliche Programme zu sehen.

I use a windows 7 pro and have no problem like that from bridge cc when I select a thumbnail then use menu Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor.. I see Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 start up then I see the Image processor dialog and that one file is selected in the bridge I the complete the dialog and click run. The image files are created. Photoshop remains open after the image files are create with no open documents. I need to click on the bridge in the task bar to bring bridge back into focus.

After the latest update to Photoshop 2014, something went wrong and started spray-like black oil on canvas. I have deadline with cover. Can you help me please?

How do I undo whatever went wrong after installing the latest update to Photoshop 2014 and suddenly when I tried to paint or touch up my illustration (book cover I'd drawn and painted, then scanned in and continued painting, changing. Well it came installed on my brand new Windows 8 pro w530 I received 4 weeks ago and has never worked. When you try to open power manager it just crashes. If you uninstall it the Lenovo software just keep reinstalling it. If you uninstall the Lenovo PM driver but do not reboot you can then open Power Manager. The minute you reboot the Lenovo software reinstallls the driver.
Why would Lenovo install software on a brand new Windows 8 laptop that is broken and useless? Tech support is absolutely no help they transfer you to the software department which wants to charge you to fix a problem that Lenovo created!!! It is crazy!! I was hoping someone here could solve this problem or maybe someone at Lenovo would see this and get the problem resolved. Tech support has been useless. I reported the problem to them at least 5 times.

Camera Raw 8.6 launch error in Photoshop 2014.2

Hi. After updating Photoshop to version 2014.2 I have a problem with launching Camera Raw plugin. When I try to open raw file there is said:
could not complete your request because of a disk error
Camera Raw doesn't launch not from Photoshop, nor from Bridge.
Photoshop 2014.2
Camera Raw 8.6.0.254
Windows 8.1
How can I fix it?
And also there's another problem with Adobe Bridge, no way to open JPEG files in Photoshop by default. Before updating to PS2014 - it was always possible to choose program to open any kind of file from Bridge. Now there's only Open button (no Open with) [right click menu], and by default it opens files in Windows picture viewer, not in Photoshop as before. So now to open JPEG in PS I have to drag file from Bridge to Photoshop window. Not really comfortable. Is that a problem of settings? (i haven't found way to fix it in settings), or a program bug?

Because that's when the freaking error in your freaking system surfaced and corrupted your OS install in your freaking main account!
That's exactly what I predicted and told you, problems with your OS, i.e. the main account.
Geeze… some people just come to here to argue rather than to hear what their problem may be.
I can guarantee you that you will have OS issues again until you repair your disk and/or your OS. If your HD is over two years old, it's time to replace it, given its symptoms.

Crop tool won't drag with CC Photoshop 2014

I have searched everywhere and talked with Adobe support through chat (they ended that abruptly??!), and Twitter and still have not had any resolution to this. I hope someone can help.
I'm trying to do a simple crop. I've done it a million times with no problems BEFORE CC 2014.
I select the crop tool and try to drag but it always stops immediately and selects the entire image as the Crop Preview.
I've tried:
using "Classic Mode"
different Ratios/Resolutions
uninstalling/re-installing
installing the latest update - but that always fails. - I'll even completely uninstall, then when it goes to re-install it will install the one file (after a million attempts at failing to download it) and then fail on an update that it tries to install. I've tried at least 20 times. AT LEAST!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Could it be my NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS? (I know that's not the reason for the failed downloads from Adobe servers - that's all on them.)

I have spent a week trying to get this to work and now it just started working for all images. I have NO idea why.
Here's what I did:
1. uninstalled NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS drivers and reinstalled them
2. uninstalled CC Photoshop 2014 (2x)
3. clean install of CC Photoshop 2014 (2x)
4. installed update (took dozens of tries before this actually downloaded and installed successfully unfortunately)
5. clicked on the crop tool and tried to drag... nothing happened
6. waited, waited and waited.. went about my other work and forgot about it and then after about 5 minutes the crop box appeared. I was able to adjust it too.
No idea but I'm happy now.

Major Problem updating to Photoshop 2014 from Photoshop CC and Opening Lightroom

Updated from Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 to Photoshop 2014 and Lightroom 5.5. Now Cannot install and run Extension manager and extentions in Photoshop 2014 but continue to work in Photoshop CC. Lightroom 5.5 refuses to open but Lightroom 4.2 continues to function sort of.
Takes two double clicks to open Photoshop CC!
Been on to Adobe support team twice. Uninstalled Photoshop 2014 and Lightroom. Used CC app to update to Photoshop 2014 but now exactly the same problems exist as before

Roger, it seems you are facing 2 separate issues, one with not being able to launch Lr 5.5 and other with not being able work with extensions in PS CC 2014.
So, here is what i would suggest:
For the Lightroom launch issue, follow the solutions mentioned under Lightroom does not launch or get error: "Develop module is disabled" after 5.5 update
And for the Extensions not available in PS CC 2014, check this out. Extensions and Extension Manager not available in Photoshop CC 2014

Attempts today and yesterday 12/16/2014) to update CC Photoshop 2014, Photoshop CC and Bridge CC all immediately fail with the message
CC Photoshop 2014: Update Failed, The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes (42)

I was able to install an updated version of Lightroom 5 yesterday without any problems.

How to save transparent background images to have transparent background thumbnails with Photoshop 2014?

In old versions of Photoshop there was a feature that made thumbnail images have a transparent background. I'm a CC member using Photoshop 2014 on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4 and every thumbnail of a transparent background image I've created in Photoshop 2014 appears on my desktop with a solid white box background that has a thin black outlined box inside of it. How do I save the transparent background images I've created in Photoshop 2014 so they will appear on my desktop as thumbnails with a transparent background? I'd like to continue to be able to replace the default background-less folder icon that that appears on files with transparent background thumbnails to customize my files as I use to do with older versions of Photoshop.

If your layered document has a Photoshop background layer it visibility need to be set off when saving a PNG or Gif file for Photoshop background layers do not support transparency.
Thumbnail may be a bit more complicated than you think. I do not use Lightroom, and only occasionally use the bridge. I believe Lightroom and Bridge keep thumbnails they develop for image files in their library databases and caches. Other programs do not have acces to these. RAW Files and Image files have Jpeg previews stored in then. I believe most application use these previews jpeg to create thumbnails. Jpeg format does not support transparency.
Icon on the desktop are not always thumbnails some are embedded icons in application modules other are icon in dll these may well have transparency. However image file on the desktop have generated thumbnails. However you can create a shortcut for an image png file and create a icon with a transparent background for the png file and change the shortcut's icon for the png file to the transparent ico file you created for it.
Also many Photoshop release ago an Adobe module created Thumbnails for image files in Windows File explorer and most likely system file dialog. Adobe stopped supporting that stating Microsoft changes how windows works.
Today I use FastPictureViewer Codec Package to generate image thumbnails for image files including RAW and PSD files in File Explorer and system file dialogs.
I don't use a Mac don't know what available for your Mac.

Moving images from Lightroom to Photoshop 2014 CC – Color Problems?

For some reason, whenever I select "Edit in Photoshop 2014 CC", the image color is not only extremely different from what's displayed in Lightroom, it's dark and dull. However, if I export the image as a .jpg and then import it into Photoshop 2014 CC the color looks the same as what's displayed in Lightroom and this is with NO color correction.
Why is this happening and how should I be moving files between the two apps? BTW, I shot the images with a Canon T3i that saves the image as a CR2 and JPG.

I'm running Lightroom and Photoshop CS3. "Edit image in Photoshop CS3" works fine for me. I'm on an iMac and had Lightroom installed first, only thing I noticed is it takes PS a little longer to open up.

Photoshop 2014.2 bug with duplicating layers in different doc

Encountered an issue with Photoshop 2014.2 that occurs when I try to use some_basic_bitmap_layer.duplicate(some_layer_in_different_doc, ElementPlacement.PLACEAFTER). So this is code that has been pretty much unchanged for a year and works in CS6 and CC2012 and used to worked in CC2014.1. I use .duplicate() with docs and with layers inside same doc, but this is the one giving exception:
General Photoshop error occured. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop.
- The object " <unknown> of layer 2" is not currently available
Another strange thing is is that in ESTK debugging the exception surfaced in a bit different places depending on factoring. I.e. before I added more detailed exception catching, it occured later in code. But this place is the only spot there is a layer named "layer 2". But gives me the feeling it's an internal state corruption
I'm guessing it might so specific no-one else will hit it, but I'd like to ask
- Any workarounds you can think of?
- Any ways to directly escalate it to Adobe given it's a new release. The general feedback site seems a waste of effort.
- Any way to downgrade (in a way that normal users could do it also) to 2014.1?

The sample code is meant for the sample psd, so it's playing on assumption that there is only one layer that is not background, is visible and not locked. In the production code it's always inside a group so it's not a background and we check for locked. Visibility we don't check but it has not been the case in the PSDs we've replicated this in.
However playing with this I did manage to find a workaround: it's possible to duplicate the layer to beginning of doc and then move it like below.

Also if I try to move duplicated layer without setting the active document Photoshop raises the same exception "The object " <unknown> of layer 2" is not currently available". I.e. it's hitting some internal issue instead of giving the right error of "not allowed to move layers in non-selected document". It kind of makes sense, i.e. duplicating to different doc after certain layer is a combo operation that duplicates to different doc and moves and they different requirements (what is the active doc).
