Photoshop 3.0 Starter Edition (printing)

When printing out photos some photos will print out in "Portrait" and "Lanscape" others print in "Landscape" only regardless of printer settings. ie: a 4x6 picture printed in "Portrait" would be in "Landscape" orientation where the pic would have to be laid horizontally in order to be seen correctly. I have even tried rotating the pic in the album widow before going to the print selection program. I have Windows XP home edition, Canon MP700 printer, 80 Gigs, and 256 Megs.

I highlight a pic in the "My catalog" album, go to the print button on the toolbar> print> print> then the print photos window comes up.
The paper in the "items" box is in "Landscape" but the top of the picture is at the top of the page. In the "Preview" Pane, the paper is in the "Portait" position with the top of the photo on the right side of the paper. This is with the "orenitation" set to "Portrait" in the "Page Setup" window. Some phots will print in "Landscape" and "Portrait" other's in "Landscape" only. Some photo's were scanned in others were taken with a Polariod PDC 640 digital camera.
I have noticed that some of the photo's in "My Catalog" windows are in "Portrait and others are in "Landscape" orientation.
Would the size of the picture "Pixel's, or DPI have anything to do with the printouts ?

Sie bekommen die Bilder schon auf die Festplatte zurück, da beide Programme nur eigene Vorschaubilder und Datenbanken anlegen, die eigentlichen Bilder aber dort lassen, wo sie gespeichert sind.
Am einfachsten finden Sie die Bilder mit Start => Suchen und dann Klick auf Bilder, Musik oder Videos. Diese(n) nun gefundenen Ordner laden Sie dann in Album/PSE und können wie gewohnt verwalten/verbessern/versenden etc.

Cannot uninstall Photoshop Album 2 starter edition

Hi am having real problems!! Have tried Add/Remove but get message: Error 1316.A network error ocurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\Adobe Photoshop Album 2 SE.msi. Then attempted a manual removal (this did not work either). So tried to re-install it (hoping I would then be able to remove it) but received the same error as above. Help! I am also having similar problems with Adobe Elements 6.0.

I have a suggestion to make that may or may not help with your problems, but it has made an amazing difference to my PCs reliability when downloading-installing-uninstalling-deleting software.
PSA SE 3.0 and 3.0.1 are two of my downloads and they and every thing else I`ve downloaded work great.
I think, (respectfully), that all your installing and uninstalling may have left your Registry in a bit of a state.
Every time you delete something from your hard drive, even, I`ve found, when it is correctly installed and correctly uninstalled, there is rubbish left behind in the Registry (orphaned code, invalid checksums, corrupted code). (Forgive me if I`m telling you something you already know).
I am only just begining to discover the difference cleaning your Registry on a regular basis makes.
All this "rubbish" builds up over time and causes all sorts of problems i.e. hanging, freezing, crashing, programs not loading properly, or loading very slowly.
I`m not trying to sound clever here, as like most people out there I am simply discovering as I go along.
But I like to delve into the inner workings of my PC and try to learn all I can from places like PcTools.com or Download.com, or especially Microsoft web sites, or picking the brains of people who know more than me, (and that`s a lot of people).
A couple of months ago I discovered "Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner" which I run at least once every couple of weeks. Sometimes more often if I`ve doing a lot of deleting etc.. As well as scanning for Viruses it does a complete scan of your Registry, and after setting a restore point, it deletes all the rubbish.
It can take an hour or so do its thing, but its free, and well worth the time. And it works along with your regular security software.

Make your own mind up, but it may go a little way towards resolving your install/unistall problems with PSA SE 3, and any other similar problems you may experience.

Question:: Starter Edition 3.2 on Windows 8

Had 3.2 on old computer. That along with other programs did not transfer from my Clickfree. Understand this is a Windows problem. Need key to open 32. on Windows 8. I have Photoshop 4.0, Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8 already loaded on new computer. Can you help I do not want to have to pay for 3'2 again.

Do you mean Photoshop 3.2 Starter Edition? To the best of my knowledge that was a free program (very long time ago), and is no longer supported or available.
P.S. just did a search and the tool is still available for download at http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshopalbum/win/3.x/Photoshop_albumSE_en_us_320.zip
If you need a product key, retrieve it on your old computer.

Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 Photo's Locked in and Can't Get Them Help.

I have Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 and I never used it/registered it until today when I wanted to take all my photos and put them to disk and have them Printed off. I can't do this anymore as their are no codes available and I've done all I can. Please can anyone help I have over 500 photo's locked inside a bloody product I can't even acess. is their anyway of getting the photo's off the product and onto disk.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a look in the starter forum.
The answer is, if you can't get your unlock code from support, don't worry; your photos are not locked into Starter Edition.
If you use Windows Explorer, you could go into My Documents > My Pictures, and look around, perhaps in an Adobe folder for your photos.

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 with AOL desktop (AOL 10)

I have fully patched XP SP2
AOL 10 as default email client
Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2, registered and unlocked.
When setting pref for email client within Adobe PSE, AOL is not listed as an email option. I have reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2, and unlocked, reinstalled AOL 10 (desktop) and reset it as the default email client. The default is working, as mailto: links in browsers open up AOL Desktop, and the email app listed at the top of the <START> button is AOL. How can I set it as an email client in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2? Is there some registry hack? Interference with another app?

Re 3.2 Photoshop. After I had some repair done to my computer, the photos in my album have the restricted little red square at the bottom of each photo. When I try to open the photo to fix or print a message box comes on that nothing can be done because of overide problem. In fact it closes the photoshop immediately because of this error. Is there anything I can do? - if I search the Browse button I get absolutely no connection or a march. This is most frustrating. I tried calling tech assistance, they could not help me infact hung up on me. What sort of helpfull assistance is that? Should there be any helpfull suggestions, other than uninstalling (Have done that) and reinstalling (done that) nothing seems to work. I cannot even copy those photos to a disk, the photoshop closes down immediately. Help. Donna

Album Starter Edition 3.0 VS Photoshop Element 5.0

Photoshop Element 5.0 on a 30 day trail and I also downloaded Adobe Album Starter Edition 3.0. I did this to see what the difference was between them as I am going to go to an update verizon with Adobe that's like my PhotoDeluxe 4.0. I use PhotoDeluxe 4.0 mostly for editing and printing pictures.What I liked about PhotoDeluxe was the I could print different pictures oh one sheet. I don't know if the other two new programs do this. ( I am sure they do it just I haven't had time to research them.) I would be open to any suggestion or comments about which programs would best suit my needs.

PSA SE has almost no editing capabilities.
PSE can do everything that PSA SE can do and lots else besides.
Both programs can print multiple pics on a sheet.

Processor: 1300 Mhz, 1.3 GHz, 512 MB of RAM.
Operating system: Windows XP Home Edition.
No printer.
When I start Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 to visit my photos that it holds hostage, I get the following popup message and a frozen cursor:
"Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library
"Runtime Error!
"Program: ...ter Edition\3.2\Apps\Photoshop Album Starter Edition.exe
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information."
I have tried repairing Album Starter Edition 3.2(through Add/Remove Programs) and uninstalling Album Starter Edition 3.2 and installing a fresh download; however, the same thing continues to occur.
Any ideas?

After installing the program and running it, installing photos in over 18 collections and transfering photos to PSA from camera chips and third party software programs flawlessly for several months, I now get the above stated error messages (when trying to add photos to a new or exsisting collection from a chip or transferring from another Jpeg file/folder in another program on my computer):

Adobe photoshop album starter edition

Can anyone help me in regards to the Adobe phots album. I have downloaded picture to this photoshop and it will not let me save any of my pictures to "My Pictures" can someone advise me on what to do?

Hi, I am new to this, being a great grandmother sometimes I am a bit slow. I have made a slideshow in the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 and it works good. I had problems trying to figure out how to get it done step by step. I do not have a manual for it as I bought this Hard drive from another person. Does anyone know how I can print up the instructions either from the program ( which I didn't see anywhere ) or if I can get it off the internet?? Help on this would be appreciated.

Storing Notes with Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3

I am new to Photoshop Album Starter Edition and was working with it yesterday to catalog some old family photos that I had scanned. When I was cataloging the photos, I added a caption and notes for each photo under the properties tab. When I burned the photo files to a CD and loaded the CD to another computer using Photoshop Starter Edition 3, I able to see the caption under properties but there was nothing in the Notes field. I'd like to use the notes field to store comments about the photo and then be able to burn the CD to share with other family members. Is there a way to burn the photos to a CD and be able to see the Notes information?

Using PSA 3.0 does this also mean that if I move an image to a new directory it loses the notes information and similarly should I rename the file will it will also lose the notes detail but not the caption. I understand why this is, if it is so - ah but here comes the question, "Is there any way to print out the notes detail by images etc to a file or to the printer should the need arise to reuse the information. Say I scan images to a laptop and record "notes information" using PSA 3.0 - how do I get that "notes" information to my desktop should I transfer the photos & use PSA 3.0 there - any help or advice would be most appreciated - are there other Adobe products that address this

How do I get my videos to all work correctly in Photoshop Album Starter Edition Ver. 3.0?

I have been using version 3.0 for the last 3 years and had no problems with any of my videos playing once they were downloaded from my mobile phone or camera to version 3.0 until August 2007 but now a lot of them say 'The selected file cannot be played'. All the files that don't work are '.AVI' files and the only thing I can see they have in common is that in the file name it says -1x-1 next to the file size and length of the clip, whereas the working files have full numbers i.e. 640*480. I still have a couple of files downloaded after August 2007 that do play but not many. Is there any way I can change the settings or recover these files so they will actually play?

It seems to me that these problematic files may not be .avi files, or are corrupted; it doesn't seem likley that it's a setting in Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
Do any of those files play in Windows Media player? Another possibility could be that these files are sidecar files to your video files; are there similarly-named video files that work fine? If so, then I would suspect that these .avi files are, again, not .avi files, and could be simply text info that goes along with your .avi files, and could be ignored (removed from the catalog).

Photoshop Album Starter edition 3.2 abnormal program termination

I have just logged onto version 3.0 and I was offered an upgrade to 3.2 via the message centre. I followed all instructions and downloaded the files.
When I now go to open the Album an error message comes up headed:
Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library.
In the window centre the message reads:
Program: ... Starter Edition\3.2\Apps\Photoshop Album Starter Edition.exe
abnormal program termination
(Press retry to debug the application)
When I press retry the program simply shuts down.
Any thoughts?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling it. Something obviously went wrong
with the upgrade.

Is anyone ever experience the problem to send/ register to adobe product registration?
I just got my new notebook, and this Photoshop Album SE 3.0 have been installed on the program files.
I have been trying to send the product/ register to adobe registration (which they request to make me able to continue using the program), but it keep says "internet send failed".
It's nothing wrong with my internet connection because I have been browsing around all the time, but I never able to send the registration.
Now, I only have 7 times left to be able to use this program without register.
PLEASE HELP ME. I need to be able to use this program everyday... and I am frustated.

Hi, Seems like your prefernces got corrupted. finally getting back to this project---adobe starter edition 3.2 is on a windows XP computer
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 is on our Windows 8.1 computer.
error messages--- had to give up trying to convert---I copied all our pictures to our windows 7 laptop and I installed adobe photoshop elements 12 (my bought program)
I wanted to try to convert there first. also I copied our catalog to this computer also. Everything was working fine I could see the collections just as they where on the XP computer.
then I tried to convert on the laptop. I believe the error said something about corrupt file, so I gave up that day. Next day I tried to open ADOBE STARTER EDITION 3.2 and it wanted an unlock code, no such code exists. and my copy of Elements 12 turned into a trial version which has expired. So I am a little hesitant to try to convert on the XP computer and mess up the existing catalog,
unless there is a fool proof way. I have tried manually making collections/ albums on Windows 8.1 and PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 and coping pictures into the new albums. sloooow!!
I probably have about 4500 pictures and 150 collections/ albums to go. So any suggestions would be appreciated.
