Photoshop 3d loop stutters

I'm tearing my hair out! I've spent two days trying to make a Photoshop CC 2014 3D animation loop work. It's a very simple sphere with a world map as the sphere material. It only took a couple of minutes to do the 3D bit with no problems. But when I try to animate it there is always a brief stop when the animation loops. I have tried everything I can think of but I cannot get rid of it. Is this a bug? (almost bald) Graham

I'm assuming you're animating a spinning globe. My best guess is that you're starting with the globe facing you at frame 1 of your animation and ending the rotation with that exact same view facing you on the last frame. That means that when it loops from the last frame to the first, you have two frames that have the exact same view, whereas through the rest of your animation each slight turn of the globe has its own unique rotated angle for each frame. You should make sure that whatever the first frame is, the last frame is set with the globe in the position that is exactly one frame before it gets back to the starting orientation.

Photoshop CS6 footage stuttering Macbook Pro 2011

Im trying to edit clips on Photoshop CS6 but they keep stuttering.
Im using Macbook Pro late 2011 with 16GB Ram, i7.
The clips play fine in lightroom, adobe premier pro and Quicktime.
I've been searching the web for an answer but cannot seem to be able to find anything of use.
Im editing .mov clips from Nikon D600. Im using an external Western Digital Drive by USB.
The file size of the clip is 76MB, the files are store on a WD external drive, but I had the same problem when I tried to play them on a thunderbolt drive.
I have given Photoshop CS6 12GB of Ram to use.
At the moment I am just trying to play the clips in Photoshop CS6, I am not trying to render or export them.
Something I have noticed - in the timline box in red writing is the play level is failing to reach 24fps, its jumping all over the place 11-19fps but not getting to 24fps.
How can I make it play at 24fps as I thought as doubling the Ram would help.
Any tips to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Audio Looping bug in rendered output

I've hit a recent issue where I'm getting audio looping / stuttering bugs in the rendered output. Doesn't happen at the start of the clip, but elsewhere if I fade everything down to black / nothing, and then fade up again into the next clip, the audio loops / stutters during that fade in. Using "Constant Power" to bring up the audio from nothing to full. Clip plays fine in Premiere, just the final output has the issue. Have encoded audio as both WAV and AC3, same issue.
Curiously, if I output a WAV file only (no video) straight from Premiere, it is clean. That's how I'm now working around this, and coding the AC3 track in Audacity when required. Also (even more curiously!) I recently installed Audition, I'm wondering if that has messed anything up in Premiere. Audition wasn't actually used in any of these corrupt projects (and the project I used Audition for was fine as far as I am aware), but I've never had it installed until 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Anyone else hit this, or know how to fix it? Between this and the video render issue I posted a couple of months back (still not resolved), I'm rapidly losing faith in Adobe's encoding tools.
I can post some example clips if anyone wants a listen. Reminds me of the XDCAM looping bug that existed a while back, although the scenario there was somewhat different (audio at the end of the clip looped, and my current video is AVCHD from a Sony NX5, not XDCAM).

Stuttering on stop/pause

Just trying out ST 2.01 fot the first time and find that I can’t pause or stop without hearing a little loop stuttering. Only fix is to start playback again, then stop with playhead over a silent section; that or close the project.
Any ideas?

How do I prevent my Mac Pro from hanging up in a start/stop loop?

My Mac Pro has a strange behavior I need help with. This computer is used almost exclusively for audio recording in my studio. I run Cubase 4 as my primary sequencing software. Everything will be going fine during a session, and then the software will abruptly hang up in a *start/stop loop*, stuttering back and forth between these two functions for up to 2 minutes before stopping. During this loop problem, the start/stop transport buttons alternately light up and the song starts and stops. Nothing I have tried will interrupt the problem. It just runs its course and then stops, usually between 30 - 90 seconds.
Interestingly, the same behavior shows up in other applications and in the Finder. In Quicktime and iTunes, it shows up as a start/stop loop. In the finder, it will shuttle back and forth between two related functions and beep each time. In word, it will show up as a key stick, typing the same letter over and over.
Needless to say, this is all very frustrating and embarrassing when clients are here. Any help will be greatly appreciates. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I'd begin with repairing your drives with Disk Utility and Disk Warrior; clone your system to another drive, and check for corrupt files and prefs.

Why should I buy Toshiba in the future?

I want to ask what is the point of buying Toshiba for the future? What should motivate me? I know that their laptops have quite cheap price for the products they include, but with such a terrible support?
I have Qosmio F50-125. I bought it 3 years ago. Since I bought it, the DRIVER support was TERRIBLE. For all those 3 years, they released for example only 1 DRIVER for the video!!! ONLY 1!!!!!! At 28/07/08 (for Vista).
Of course there is a "New" driver for windows 7 from 2009. But that's all! When you buy a product, you expect to have a good support. Specially when Toshiba guarantee is "1 year no-matter what + 3 years abroad warrenty". You expect to have support atleast for 3 YEARS when you get a 3 year guarantee, but no, they update the drivers for the 1st year and that's all!
+All the new updates (which are 2,3, for the Bluetooth and Wireless) are for Windows 7. This laptop is originally sold with Windows Vista. Nowhere says if there is an option for upgrade. I called and asked at Toshiba if I can upgrade it (if they provide this service) and they answered that they don't know!!!! Still no response.. And if you download the drivers from the developers page (nvidia in my case) the guarantee falls of!
So when you buy Toshiba you get:
Pros:
-1 year no-matter what guarantee + 3 years abroad guarantee
-Cheat price for relatively good laptop
Cons:
-NO DRIVER SUPPORT
-Not allowed to open the computer or give it to any company to be Cleaned for avoiding HEAT problems, except Toshiba
-Lots of Toshiba programs, that make faults to your system, one of them Toshiba Tempro - totally useless
When I was buying this laptop it costed 1015euro. Not the cheapest, but definitely not from the expensive class. Now I'm thinking to buy a laptop for 1000-1500euro. Should I waste those money for Toshiba?
Buy a new high-end computer, have support only for the first year and after 2 years having the same problem? If I was buying it only for studying and work, all of this wouldn't matter for me. But I'm using it for creating music, graphic designs and in the free time play games.
P.S. I love my laptop, 3 years old, and still runs great. Photoshop, Fruity Loops, all work well + I can even play Skyrim and Modern Warfare 3. But the Airflow design....... awful. It's build in such a way, that each 3,4 months you need to clean it, to avoid +100 GPU temperature. The normal one is 90 ;) which I think is quite bad.

Regarding the display driver support:
I agree with you the graphic card drivers for the gaming notebooks should be released and updated regularly because most new games requires the newest driver version.
But I noticed also, that display drivers from other notebook manufacturers are not updated regularly and in most cases the usage of original graphic drivers from GPU manufacture pages is necessary.

I think all computer/notebook manufactures dont allow to open and to disassemble the own products. This is because the disassembling procedure is always tricky and there is a risk of part damage. I think this is understandable...

I noticed that every notebook manufacture installs own tools and utilities in order to control the notebook features. The point is that notebooks are different to the common desktop PCs and notebooks support a lot of additional features: Eco modes, multimedia buttons, additional power saving features, HDD security options, etc
So a preinstalled software is not really a disadvantage but of course, you can remove this from the system but this means that you would not be able to use such features.

OPC datasocket write problem

I have a main while loop (10sec timer)with heavy image analysis, and another while loop(0.1sec timer) that simply writes the resulting single number from the first loop into a OPC server via datasocket write function.
While it does work, the resulting datalog shows random 0's or huge numbers included once in a while.
(almost everytime the main loop is processing)
It seems like when the main loop is ongoing the second loop stutters and misfires.
How can I keep my data stream clean of these errors?

This may be the same question that simyfren was getting at, but how are you communicating between the two loops?
I'm also a little confused about why you're writing values to the server every 100 ms when your processing loop is running every second. My interpretation of your description is that each time the main (10 sec) loop executes, it's producing one data point, and then the secondary loop writes that value to the server. If that's the case, then why are you writing to the server every 100 ms? Do you want values to be repeated? Or is the main loop actually producing several different values, all of which you're writing to the server?
Does your main loop take the full 10 seconds to execute, or does it execute in less time and you just want to run it every 10 seconds?
Also, if you post a screen shot of your VI, it may give us and any other members of the community more insight into what you're doing so we can provide you with more specific tips.

Photoshop CC 2014 - Liquify lags/stutters with pen

Since installing Photoshop CC Version 2014 yesterday the liquify tool is behaving strangely for me. Moving the Brush Cursor seems laggy/stuttering (hard to describe).. it works 'ok' with a mouse but once i started using the pen it's really laggy.
If you smudge in one direction the smudge appears with a short delay, after that - if you still pressing the pen down - it works fluently. But if i remove the pen and press it again on my tablet surce it lags again at first... So it's very hard to use it properly.
I Tried the 'old' photoshop CC and CS6 (both downloaded from Creative Cloud and still installed) and both still work fine and fluid.
I'm using Windows 8.1. 64-bit on a Core i7-3770k, 16GB Ram, Gainward Phantom GTX770 graphics card.
Is Anyone else having this problem? or does anyone knows what's causing this?
(if it's a graphic driver problem, why is it still working on photoshop cc, it seems the code for liquify has changed for version 2014).

I do not have Windows 8 but have seen the following about Windows 8 and Photoshop CC 2014 pen support in an other tread;
Photoshop CC 2014 changes stylus use to use Microsoft system API's, with these API's you need to have Windows Ink enabled. These API's give better stroke results and improve the out of the box experience for users using Windows tablet/convertible devices. If you want to go back to the old WinTab implementation of previous versions do the following:
Create a file that contains instructions to revert to the WinTab functionality.
Create a text file in a text editor such as Notepad.
Type in the following lines:
# Use WinTab
UseSystemStylus 0
Save the file as a plain text file named PSUserConfig.txt, and save the file into the Photoshop settings folder: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Settings\.
To turn off the gestalt's functionality, delete the PSUSerConfig.txt file. Or, move it to a different folder if it doesn't contain any other commands, or change the lines so they read:

Cannot sync anymore without Photoshop opening first; stuck in a loop

I can no longer sync my iphone without Adobe Photoshop opening first and then some message from Adobe Downloader. I seem to be stuck in a loop that consistently keeps synching over and over and I cannot reach itunes anymore without getting an error message that it lost connections with the iphone. How do I stop this looping? How do I stop PHotoshop from opening first? I'm about to throw out this iphone. I just upgraded to 2.2.1 but I was lucky I was able to do that. Somehow Photoshop shut it's ugly self off.

This happens to me everytime too. I have downloaded Photoshop again to fix the corrupt files, but it didn't help. So now when I connect my phone, and Photoshop opens, I just click on the iTunes icon on my desktop. To upload any pics I have, I choose another option to upload them. Then go to Photoshop, get pics, and look for files on my computer. Adobe will stay open and will not allow me to cancel or close. Then I have to do ctl, alt, del. Apparently this is an issue with Adobe. Hope this helps.....

Hi, I am trying to install photoshop CS2 on a windows machine and understand that because the server authentication no longer works I have to download a different version, but I cannot because the page to access this version asks me for my date of birth every 5 seconds in a loop. How do I loop a set action in Photoshop extended?

How do I take a recorded action set , so that Photoshop Extended will loop or repeat the actions through all the frames of my Quicktime?
My set include an action with "next frame" and an action with "Match color". When I play the set, the movie goes one frame forward and change color with the match1.sta that I created. Now How Do I Loop The Set for each frame of my movie. I am not having much luck with Batch...

While searching for a photo, my Mac went into endless loop, so had to shut it down using button. After restart, highlightrd text looked "different." Also unable to highlight layers in Photoshop.

I was searching for a photo on myiMac when it went into an endless loop. Only way I could think of to stop was using the button at the back of my computer. After restart, had to erase text in Appleworks one character at a time, because highlighter did not work properly; also looked "different: when typing on an internet website . ..and was unable to highlight layers (in Photoshop). What did I do wrong? and How can I correct it? PS: Also unable to edit my system. (Am only using my iMac Intel these days, with OS X.4.11)

First check to see your plan is active: Adobe ID
Try launching Photoshop choosing Trial instead of a purchase.
Mac             /Applications/Photoshop CC/Photoshop CC.app
Windows C:\Program files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Photoshop CC.exe
Then once inside, go to Help > Sign in... There, use the email address and password for your account and it should activate.
If that does not work, could you tell me what version of PS you have and what os version you are using?

Stuttering Loop Removal

The purpose of this assignment is to work on more involved flow of control and loops. You also will be using more of the String methods.
You are to write a program (whose class name is WordsInString) that reads in a string, finds the individual words in it and creates a new string with only one version of stuttered words. For example, given the string
"The the cat cat in the the hat"
, the program will print out
"The cat in the hat"
The program should also remove extra spaces.
As before, your code should have only a main method which should:
Read in a String from an InputBox; the box should have an appropriate (not too long prompt).
Loop over the string until at its end:
Find the next word (sequence of characters with either end of string or space on each end),
Check if this word was equal (ignoring capitalsization) to the previously found word,
If yes, then discard; if no, then add it to the new sentence.
Somehow move on to the next part of the string.
Print out (to the console) the sentence with a single space between each word in the order in which it was orginally and with no identical adjacent words.
Some hints:
Look over the set of methods available to the String class. You are likely to find some useful methods for this task.
Don't forget that you may have multiple spaces in a row, only one of which can appear in the revised sentence.
There are several ways you can write this assignment and several loop constructs that will work fairly well. Take some time to think about how each would solve the problem and chose the simplest. Also, think about special cases as you code to make sure you have addressed what input we might think to give.
