Photoshop 5 Vista OS DVD Not working

I cannot make backups of my catalogs on my Vista computer from Photoshop Elements 5.
The CDDVDW is a TSST Cop. TSH653Q drive. Photoshop tells me the driver is not loaded, Install Photoshop. I do the install and the same thing happens. When attempting to do a Catalog backup to the DVD drive (in my case drive F) isn't showing up on the list of available drives. Please note I have down loaded Photoshop 5.02 and have the same results. I enjoy the Photoshop product and being able to backup my pictures is important to me. I have Photoshop 5 running in a Toshiba Laptop the OS is XP all works fine but because the laptop was being bogged down by photoshop I purchased a desktop. It is a HP dual core pavilion with Vista as the OS.
I hope you can help me with this problem I enjoy photoshop and have invested a lot of time in my pictures.

Sorry for the slow response. My wife and I went Geocaching yesterday, we biked and hiked 6+ miles so these old bones were tired. I did get some good photos though. As far as Adobe and Photoshop elements 5 is concerned I feel it is a great and very powerful bit of software. It has given me many hours of productive enjoyment and enabled me to improve my photos. So I will probably upgrade soon. I do want to thank you for your time and efforts to assist me in straightening out my DVD problem.

Thanks i think I got it working of a fashion.
Except the replace colour, does not seem to end up with the colour I picked using the picker tool. Its as though it hads not replaced the colour but blended in the desired colour with the old incorrect colour!
Buy trial and error picking not the right colour but close - which when mixed with the existing colour is close.

The scenario is:- say a blonded mainly tanned model a high cut [at the hips] corsette style basque, with an ultra low bra line.
Our dear model, has just come back from St Barts with a fabulous Tan, and equally striking bold Tan lines!.
So we have great tanned legs, then the 'porcelain white band' where her swimsuit was.
Likewise we have a tanned face, and arms, shoulders etc and a great tan on the top of the cleavage, then it stops, white band to the top of the ultralow cut bra line of the basque.
She must have lived in like the most conservative bikini on the planet [50's style], for 2 weeks!
Had she had a normal skimpy bikini on, no problem!
If i don't solve it, she will get fired!

Have you checked whether you have folder for PSE Organizer? It is normally at this location in Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1:
<C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer>
If the folder is there then try double-clicking on the file called: PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
If the folder isn't there at all then you need to re-install the package again using your original disks or from download from Adobe website. <Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10>

In Photoshop CS6 Hue Saturation does not work with forground/background Jitter set at 100 percent no change in color is observed. I have Added a screen Shot of the Brush settings and a demonstration of what the brush produces.
I also notice That when I make a pattern of a single color, when I fill a selection with the pattern I get a rainbow of different colors.
I am running a 64 bit version of Photoshop from the CS6 Masters Collection
I am on a PC with a Intel i7 1366 4 physical cores and 8 threads, 24 Gig of DDR memory, A Crucial 512 Gig SSD and a NVIDIA GTX 570 with 2 Gig of memory.
The document size is 2100 by 1500 Pixels at 300 PPI only two layers

In Photoshop CS6 Hue Saturation does not work with forground/background Jitter set at 100 percent no change in color is observed. I have Added a screen Shot of the Brush settings and a demonstration of what the brush produces.
I also notice That when I make a pattern of a single color, when I fill a selection with the pattern I get a rainbow of different colors.
I am running a 64 bit version of Photoshop from the CS6 Masters Collection
I am on a PC with a Intel i7 1366 4 physical cores and 8 threads, 24 Gig of DDR memory, A Crucial 512 Gig SSD and a NVIDIA GTX 570 with 2 Gig of memory.
The document size is 2100 by 1500 Pixels at 300 PPI only two layers

Lightroom 5.6 would not open. I only get a flash picture then I get an error message. The program is closed and there is a notification if a solution is available.

I may have just solved my own problem. Right after posting this I googled bezel lightroom and found this: Flickr: Discussing The word 'bezel' appears in the taskbar. in Adobe Lightroom
I changed the setting in the view menu and now everything appears to be working fine. I cannot explain why it stopped working before because I hadn't made any previous changes to the view options.
Still am curious about the memory usage, though.

I am having the same issue except that my premiere elements code worked great, but the photoshop elements key failed. Ugh.

I have an I-mac with Max OS X vers. 10.6.8. Have tried to install both an old Photoshop 7.0 and an Photoshop Elements but it does not work. 7.0 I bought many years ago end the Elements came with a Canon scanner. What to do? Regards Peter Lindgren

Peter Lindgren do you receive any specific error messages when you attempt to install Photoshop 7 or Photoshop Elements? What version of Photoshop Elements are you installing?

F is the default shorcut for »Change Screen Mode« for me, so I’m not sure what you want with the qualifier keys.
Have you changed your Edit > Keyboard Shortcut?

You have posted in the wrong forum. You have posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing focus) instead of Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum (photo editing focus). And, then I am assuming that you meant Photoshop Elements 11 and not Photoshop 11.

a. How is the Sketch/Photocopy Filter not working - you click on Photocopy and nothing happens...you click on Photocopy, the Photocopy workspace comes up, but the sliders do not function....or other?
I also have Photoshop Elements 11 on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 64 bit and have no problems with the Photocopy Filter.
By the way, did you know that the results will depend on how you have Color Foreground and Background set?

It is not clear what you mean. Normally one does not generate a serial number, it is provided with the purchase.
