Photoshop 7 - batch processing is no longer doing save as

I have had Photoshop 7 for many years. I have been using several resizing and sharpening batch processes which have saved a resultant file at the end with a different name. In the Batch process an original folder was selected and a destination folder and the file name changed with a different custom prefix. I have been using these batch processes with no problems for years. Without warning I have noticed that all of these batches are no longer working and the end result is one file in the destination folder, ie it must me overwriting. I have tried to recreate the basic batch process again and have resorted to using both 'save; and 'save as' at the end of the process in different test batch processes and the same result happens pretty much each time, the one file after the original folder had 5 images. I have noticed that 'Save as' is not showing up in the actions of the batch process (only shows as 'Save' irrespective if you selected 'save' or 'save as'. It is like Photoshop is refusing to accept 'save as' with a new file as a valid action. I have also tried to check the override 'save as' box etc. If you edit normally in Photoshop and 'save as' for that image, there are no problems
Going nuts as I am a team photographer for a team playing in a national competition and therefore have a large volume of images to edit/resize

Windows XP previously, Windows 7 now (has been for about a year).
Computer is according to 'device and printers', ACPI x86-based PC, with Intel Core i5-3450 [email protected], and Xeon processor E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core - was all put together last year.
Drives are nowhere near full.
Only recent update has been Java on the weekend, coinciding with when I first noticed the issue.
I have deleted Photoshop 7 off the computer using Windows 7's delete program function as there is no uninstall.exe file in the PS7 folder. I deleted it out of Startup and off the Desktop. I also deleted the remaining plugin folder containing Noise Ninja anti-noise software.
I reinstalled the PS7 software again and in PS7 I expected the batch processes now to only contain the default batch processes, but all of my created ones are there in the list - this says they are not deleted in the uninstalll process. Where are these stored on your computer so I can delete these perhaps? However I am unconvinced that will actually achieve anything (see * below). I deleted a few of these using the trashbin off the Actions palette.
I created the numerous variations of the batch processes again, with 'save as overrides' box checked/unchecked and still no joy. What I have noticed it does not matter whether you used 'save as' as one of your actions it has replaced it with 'save' every time (*). How does/can that happen? All the other 'save' actions for any of the other batch processes all show as 'save' now. There is of course no option to change the 'save' in the actions to 'save as', eg right click mouse or something.
I haven't found anything related in Google searches.

Photoshop cs6 batching process change the canvas size

I am looking to change some images from 320x? to 320x320 without distoration. The way to do that would be to change the canvas size to 320x? to 320x320 and have the product stay in the middle. Can CS6 do that in a batch process?

I am sorry is that a yes or a no. I do not own this version of Photoshop but would upgrade if I can do this as I have several images to reformat.

Photoshop starts batch processing by itself

Hi everyone,
since I installed Yosemite I have the problem that Photoshop (CC) starts batch processing by itself. That means that photoshop starts out of nothing and begins to execute some action on images in a certain folder. The images look some kind of distorted.
This happens a few times a day. I can only close photoshop with the activity center. I have no idea what is going on there.

Im familiar with the Photoshop batch process prior to CC but couldn't find an explanation on the web.
I would look in your actions script palette and see if anything sticks out as an automatic trigger.

Photoshop Elements batch processing

When I try to rename photos in batch processing, I'm told that the folder I've selected is empty, when it isn't. (The photos show in the organizer.) Help!

My bad. Dated sub-folders are only available on Windows during import from camera or car reader but you can use the browse button in the downloader to navigate to a specific folder.
I’m a bit confused? You say the photos are in Organizer. Are they in the folder on the hard drive?
Have the photos been moved using Finder?
Have you re-named the folder?

Batch processing - what am I doing wrong?

I am trying to batch process 30 or so fireworks PNGs in Fireworks 8.
They are all similar. I want to alter their appearence by applying a hue/saturation filter. I copy the filter command from history and save it with a name. I select all the files I want batched and click the command name I saved. What seems to happen is that one of the files gets filtered 30 or so times over and the others stay the same. The same things happens whether I select the files by picking from a folder or clicking the 'include currently open files' checkbox.
Any ideas please?

It looks like the command is not closing the current document and applying the filter on current document only.
You will need to check once a document has been closed, a new document from the selected list should also open after it to apply the filters on it.

Batch Process/Actions Automation with CS3 - Save 2 Files at Once

Trying to figure this out is making my head spin. Say I have three files in a folder called house.tif, apple.tif, and dog.tif. I want to run a batch process on those to save two separate PDF files for each, one high res and one low res, that would ideally stay in the same folder and be named house_lowres.pdf and house_highres.pdf, apple_lowres.pdf and apple_highres.pdf etc.
How can I do that with Actions and Batch Processing without overwriting any files?

Batch Process ABAP for VBUK does not trigger 2LIS_11_VAITM Delta

On a site I am working at we are are using Direct Update for the 2LIS_11_VAITM extractor and we are not getting the delta's we are expecting.
I am pretty sure that the problem is a custom Quote closing program that goes through and updates the field GBSTK (Overall Processing Status of Document) in table VBUK.
I am really not sure what makes the updated record visible to be included in the delta for the LIS Extractor 2LIS_11_VAITM.
I was thinking that perhaps he should have at least also reset the Changed On date.
Any thoughts on this as any record changed through standard transactions are picked and bought across.

Thank you for your reply. Initially I did suspect that it was the custom program as well, and in some way I still do, but on Friday I had asked the business do a bit of work so that I could get some more information.
The business performed:
1) Close a quote using the custom program and tell me the Sales Document Number.
2) Close a different quote using the standard VA22 program and tell me the Sales Document Number.
From my initial investigation I have noted that:
At the Header Level...
1) Neither record were brought across into BW as part of the delta processing.
2) Both records have an Overall Process Status (VBUK-GBSTK) updated to C.
3) Neither record had the changed date updated in VBUK.
4) Both records had the Change Date changed on the VBAK record. Note that this value to the change date in the record across into BW.
At the Item Level...
5) Neither Sales Document Item records were brought across into BW with the Overall Process Status (VBUP-GBSTA) updated to C.
6) Note there is no change date on the VBUP record.
7) Both records item data had the Change Date changed on the VBAP record. Note that this value to the change date in the record across into BW.
I am beginning to think that even though we do have some changed data in BW, it appears not to be bringing the updated status data across from the VBUK or VBUP tables. Time to delve into the wonderful world of OSS notes.

Credit card file upload(Tcode: PRCC) in a batch process

Hi all,
Is it possible to make credit card file upload(Tcode: PRCC) in a batch process.
when i tried doing so got message "frontend function cannot be created in batch mode" .
I am aware that it is because this program is using "GUI_UPLOAD" function module which is for front end only and not for background processing.
But as this is standard program I cannot change method of uploading flat file.
Please suggest me any method to solve my requirement. I need to make credit card file upload in a batch process.

Check mark parameter 'File is not local' for SAP to read file from application server (file is read using open dataset instead of gui_upload). This would allow you to run this tcode in background.

No option to Batch Process in Bridge CS5

Usually in Bridge I would go to Tools> Photoshop> Batch. But instead I am seeing Tools> Process Collections in Photoshop.
Even if I go into photoshop to batch process via Bridge, the option for Bridge is greyed out and I can't select it.
I am on Windows 7, 64 bit.
Please help.

Batch Processing doesn't update files in Premiere Pro CS5.5

Hi,
I'm not sure if this question should be under 'Audition' or 'Premiere Pro', but I'm selecting a large range of audio clips (from a wedding ceremony) and sending to Audition from Premiere (selecting 'Edit in Adobe Audition')
When the clips appear in the files section of Audition I select 'Batch Process', drop them in and make the batch process start. When everything is finished and the files are automatically saved, I head over to Premiere to see if the wav's have updated - but nothing. Everything is exactly the same.
Any help would be great?
I'm not adding any prefix's etc to the filename, and I'm selecting 'overwrite existing files' and 'same location as original files'.

Sorry for the delay, had a couple of deadlines to meet and ended up doing the hundred-or-so clips one-by-one in audition to get it done.
That's the issue exactly, I go back to Premiere after doing the batch process (and they all auto-save) but Premiere doesn't update the waveform or in fact the audio doesn't show the changes I've just made. The strange thing is that if I do them one by one, then Premiere recognizes the changes and I can get on with it.
The steps I take are: 1) Drop the clip in the timeline, do a bunch of editing (occasionally nesting and multi-cam editing a sequence). 2) Right click and Edit in Audition 3) Open Batch Process in Audition 4) Drag drop all the files just sent to Audition from Premiere, into the Batch Process section 5) Run batch process 6) Go back to Premiere and see if it's updated in the timeline. I wait, and wait, but nothing. Everytime.
I'm thinking it's something simple I've clicked, but have no idea what. Either that or it's some sort of bug issue.
I will be upgrading to CS6 creative cloud soon, hopefully that'll fix it.
If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, thanks for trying.

Soundbooth CS4 doesn't yet have dedicated Batch processing functionality, however it does offer Batch Volume Equalization and Matching. Adobe Audition does offer comprehensive batch processing which can address all the needs you've listed.

Batch process background color either side of artwork image

I need to batch process the background color from several galleries from white to gray.
On this page - Simon Toparovsky - A Letter from The Renaissance - some of the images in the gallery have a white background on the left and right side of the artwork. There are hundreds of images that I need to apply this to.
