Photoshop 8 to 11 - what happened to the Places and Events tabs?

My keywords are still associated with the photos, but none of the Places and Events that I had in PSE8 show up in PSE11. How do I get them back?

People tags
You can locate photos with People tags in the People panel of the Media view, or in the People view. Generic icons are used for People tags.
To view the People panel in the Media view, select View > Show People in Tag Panel.
Photos in sub categories are moved to the Groups section of the People view. In the People view, click the People > Group slider to view them..
Events tag
Renamed to Events (Tags)
Places tag
Renamed to Places (Tags)
Smart Albums
You can locate Smart Albums under Saved Searches.
Unsupported file formats
The following file formats are skipped during file conversion: Filmstrip (FLM), Wireless BMP (WBM, WBMP), PCX, Targa (TGA, VDA, ICB, VST), Photoshop RAW (RAW), PICT File, PCT, PICT), Scitex CT (SCT), Photoshop EPS (EPS), EPS TIFF Preview (EPS), Generic EPS (AI3, AI4, AI5, AI6, AI7, AI8, PS, EPS.AI, EPSF, EPSP
Unsupported album templates
Default album template is used for the online album.

The lack of this feature is an inexcusable oversight for an enterprise management product. They have some serious lightweights making design decisions on the SCOM team. 5 thumbs down.
BTW the answer is probably LOTS of stuff. Literally 100's of workflows are running on any server.
The following OpsMgr DB query will list all running monitors on a server. Change the name of @srv. I think this works pretty well. I'd like some feedback if something is missing.

Nobody here can tell you why something like that happens in the iBookstore. Presumably there is some issue between Apple and the publisher. You might try getting what you want from one of the other stores which have free ereaders, like Kindel, Nook, Kobo, Googlebooks, Sony.

What happened to the date and time of text messages, on my Iphone 4. This stopped about four days ago.

As of four days ago, the date and time of my text messages does not appear. I don' t know what hapened. I have reset the network settings, but it didn't fix the problem.

What happened to the history & private window tab that I used to have and used

When you updated my browser you removed the firefox tab in the upper left corner of the screen. That tab had links to history, bookmarks, private window and more. Now the tab is gone and I can no longer access these features. I used those features and want them back.

It's easy to drag them up off the Dock, open your Applications folder, drag Address Book from the Window to where you want it in the Dock, rinse & repeat.

What happened to the T410s and T510?

I could have sworn I saw a way to order T410s and T510 when I was comparing the ThinkPad models perhaps a week ago, but I can't see any way to order them anymore. Earlier tonight I was able to access the model pages for the two models by searching for them on the Lenovo site and then clicking on the first result, but they aren't appearing in the search results now. Furthermore, when I try to go to the first link that comes up when I search for either of those models, I see an error that says "Our apologies. The page you requested is not available."
The "New Product Showcase" page says that these models are "Available now!", but I'm obviously having some problems finding them. Any ideas?

I have to agree with one of the writers and his/her comments about their supply chain. They didn't know their %$#@ from a &^% in the ground two years ago when i ordered the T61p ... all manner of stories on the probable ship date, then it turned up out of the blue one day.

What happened to the future months / years tab with iOS 7?

My old calendar had a nice feature at the bottom of the calendar allowng me to select future months and "next year".
It's gone with the iOs & update - this is not progress as it now takes longer to find future months by swiping all the way throough each month in turn.
Someone needs to get a grip and not throw out everything just because they can...

If you are on, say, the daily view page, then tap the month in the upper left to get a month view, then tap the year in upper left to get a year view. In year view, swipe up/down go to the year whose month you want, then tap on the month and you're on month view. Works differently but just as quickly.

What happened to the X on my tabs to cklose quickly?

You can close a tab with a middle-click on that tab.

What happened to the confetti and color blade transitions?

Just purchased iwork 09 to see what awesome features would be available in Keynote. There were some new ones, but two great ones are gone - confetti and color blades. Can you get those back?

Those two are considered "Obsolete". You'll have to go into Keynote's Preferences under the "General" tab and choose "Include obsolete animations in choices". Then you'll see it re-appear.

What happened to the getVariable and setVariable snippets in CC 2014?

In Edge CC 2014 the new code panel doesn't have snippets for working with variables. Are they gone or just hidden.

I've now re-downloaded EACC ver 3 and copied and pasted the missing snippets into the my snippets area of EACC 2014.

Just copy and paste them one at a time and use the top line for the snippet name.
Also if you misname a snippet button, holding ctrl+option and clicking the button allows you to Edit Code, Rename or Delete the button.

When I receive, scan or print a .pdf, Adobe Reader shows a dark screen, so I can't see the doc. If I print it, it usually prints correctly, but what happened to the print and scan preview screen?

Problems with Adobe Reader (read my question)

Try deleting the Adobe plugin and use the built in Preview. Hard drive level Library/Internet Plugins. If it isn't there, check your user Library.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library.
