I can't open D7200 NEF files with Photoshop CS6.I checked the updates and there are no updates available.What do I do?
NitinFor the time being, shoot JPEG images. At this time there is no support for NEF files from the D7200 in any Adobe product. It was released at such a time that it wasn't included in the last Camera Raw update. And Lightroom hasn't been updated either. Consequently, there is no DNG converter available at this time. We will have to wait and see what programs will be able to accommodate the D7200 when Adobe releases updates or upgrades that support the camera.

Trying to update from Photoshop CS5 12.0 to 12.0.4 (only update available on Adobe site) fails
I try to manually update from Photoshop CS5 12.0 on Mac to 12.0.4 but the update fails. 12.0.4 is the only update available on the Adobe site that I can find for CS5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Adobe Application Manger inside Illustrator says all products are up to date. "Updates" in Photoshop under the Help menu is greyed out. I can't print from Photoshop right now because it crashes. I'm assuming an update is in order. Please help!
Not sure if this is the right thing to do, but here's the entire log. I can't parse it very well. Perhaps you're able to? I read online that the 12.0 version was crashing on printing hence the attempt to upgrade.

I have Photoshop CS5 Extended and it says updates available but when i download the updates it says updates failed please try again later, i have tried a few times and get the same message any help would be great i am running 64bit on windows 8.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate and have the same problem. My hard drive crashed, installed a new one and then reinstalled CS5 extended. Installation went fine, but can no longer open my camera RAW files from Photoshop (camera is a Canon EOS T2i. The message also tells me I am not eligible for the update. I am... and I cannot open my files and I could before. I can find nowhere to contact Adobe to tell me how to proceed. My daughter is all a registered user of the same product and she had no problems upgrading... we purchased ours each at the same time. I do know the difference is that I had to reinstall and she did not. If that means anything.

What updates have been released?
Photoshop CS6 has two new updates: 13.0.2 and 13.1. The 13.0.2 update is available only for Mac users and updates the user interface to be Retina compatible. The 13.1 is for Creative Cloud subscribers and adds new features to Photoshop CS6.
How do I get the updates?
Simply go to Help > Updates to launch the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) to start the download process. You may already have an AAM notification to install these updates waiting in your task bar. You can also download and install the 13.0.2 update from here:

What is the availability of these updates?
The 13.0.2 update is available only for Mac OSX version 10.6 or later. The 13.1 update is only available to Creative Cloud subscribers (including Creative Cloud single-app membership, i.e. subscribing to Photoshop only), but it is for both Windows and Macintosh.
Some of the Photoshop CS6 System Requirements have changed in order to allow for the features in the 13.1 update.

Why do my images appear smaller on my Retina enabled Mac after installing the 13.1/13.0.2 update?
Retina displays use a higher pixel density than a normal monitor. The individual display pixels are approximately one half the size of previous devices. While working in Photoshop before installing the 13.1/13.0.2 update, as with any other non-Retina optimized application, the number of pixels used is doubled to give a normal, non-miniaturized appearance. This can cause applications to be slightly blurred or pixilated. Thus, when viewing images in Photoshop, the zoom level is effectively double whatever is displayed. At 100% zoom, the image is displayed so that every one image pixel is shown with four display pixels, the same as viewing the image at 200%. With the 13.1/13.0.2 update, Photoshop now displays natively on Retina screens, meaning that image pixels now appear at the much smaller Retina size, thus reducing the amount of screen space they take up when viewed at 100%.

Why have icons disappeared?
Due to changes in the number of pixels involved in the UI, some icons can disappear. If the Photoshop Dock icon is now blank, rebooting the computer will refresh the system and load the new HiDPI icon. Some extensions do not have a Retina ready icon and thus will be blank when you have the panel minimized. In most cases like these, we may have to wait until the manufacturer also releases a HiDPI version of the Extension. Additionally, sub-menu headers may become blank when you view the contents of the sub-menu. For example, if you select Filter > Sharpen, while viewing the list of Sharpen, Sharpen Edges, Sharpen More, etc "Sharpen" itself will be blank.

Well that might explain things more than I've garnered from the Forums. I've got a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion and a Mac Pro with Lion, both with CS6 Design and Web Premium on them. The Mac Pro updates Photoshop to 13.0.3, the MacBook Pro is "stuck" at 13.0.1. It won't update via the "Help/Updates" or by downloading and trying to install manually. AAM gives an error when trying manually; says to contact support. Other CS6 apps, i.e. Illustrator, do not update on the MBPro either. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, deactivated/reactivated, etc., to no avail. If it means anything, I just deactivated the Illustrator app, quit it, restarted, and the splash screen (which shows the loading progress) showed "Try" on it - haven't noticed that before, and I have not installed any trial downloads. I'm at a loss as to why one installation of CS6 Design and Web Premium (physical/downoad) will update properly on one computer and not the other.
Am waiting to see if Adobe has an answer. The apps work, just don't update...

I have a Windows PC - OS: Win 7 Home Premium, SP1
I recently had to have my hard drive replaced and, as result, had to reinstall the Adobe products I own: Acrobat 10, Premiere Elements & Photoshop 9
I assume as part of reinstalling the software the Adobe Application Manager was installed as well - regardless, it indicates 'updates are available' -- however when I open the updater I am receiving the error message:
'There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later'
The full message is as follows:
'Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Photoshop Camera Raw 6.5 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Premiere Elements 9.0.1 Updater
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.'

(secondary problem: whenever I open Elements or Photoshop and I am asked to log in with my Adobe ID, I get the error message 'Error. Photoshop.com services are currently unavailable. Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400'. Now I know photoshop.com was replaced with Revel - but why is it consistently giving me the same error message? shouldn't it be updated by now or, specifically, is this indicative of a different problem when I attempt to login with my Adobe ID??)

Could not initialize Photoshop because the disk is not available
I get this message when I try to startup Photoshop:
"Could not initialize Photoshop because the disk is not available."
I found a fix in Tech Notes about selecting the scratch disk and choosing ignore permissions, but I don't even remember what the scratch disk was, so I don't really know how to select ignore permissions on it.
Does anyone know another way to fix this. It seems like this must be some "login-local" preference (meaning that there must be something in the user's local preferences for setting this scratch disk parameter (the only reason I'm thinking this is that if I create another user and run Photoshop, I get no error.)
I looked through ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe for any kind of Photoshop Preference, but I couldn't find a specific preference that stood out. Anyone have an idea?I just got the same message, "Could not initialize Photoshop because the disk is not available". I had just assigned my primary scratch disk to an internal drive that was empty and had lots of free space. When I restarted my machine, the error message appeared when I tried to open Photoshop.
Not sure why this error occurred, but deleting the preferences did fix that problem... unfortunately, doing that will reset all your prefs = pallets, brushes, actions. I suspect you could just delete the "Adobe Photoshop CS2 Prefs.psp" file and leave the others intact to avoid that.
I would still like to know why changing the scratch disk gives us this problem? I mean, isn't that the whole point of having another internal drive?

I'm using the latest photoshop cc 2014 with most updated camera raw... i am having A LOT/REPEATED trouble getting files to "synch" with corrections, no matter what i options i select (i.e. "everything")... WTH is wrong with me/my computer/adobe?! help. fast. please

CS2 Update Installation Problems
Hi,
i bought a new PC (with Vista). Now i want to install Adobe CS2 Update, but my CS1 Version CD (also a Update) won`t be found by the system. I tried to install CS1 Update, but my Full-Version of Photoshop won´t be found by the system.
How should i install my CS2???
Kind regardsFirst of all you should know that neither CS2 or any version previous to it are supported on Vista. However, many people have been able to install such versions on Vista, but it does require some preparation. I suggest you search the forums for more info.
About your question, you don't need to install the previous versions in order to install the upgrade. The serial number is usually sufficient. But if I understood you correctly you have at least two upgrades before CS2... in that case you will probably need an unlocking code from Adobe. -
Cr2 files won't open I have PS CC and the latest CR update available.
I have a Canon Rebel XS, a fairly old camera.
It writes a cr2 file and PS won't open it.
PS shows a link tat says update CR and I have the latest update available.
Running PS CC and have the latest update.
MBP OS 10.9.3 with the latest CR update.
Does anyone have an answer for this prob?

Photoshop Camera Raw 7.4 update is not installing because of error code U43M1D207. What needs to be done to resolve this issue?

Photoshop CC (14.2) failed update
photoshop cc (14.2) failed to update, although all the other updates available today worked without flow. Now CC apps says photoshop cc (14.2) is "up to date"
No extension manager for Photoshop cc 2014.

Please confirm your Ps version from Help->About Photoshop and provide us with the following logs.

AAM logs
For Mac:

You can zip all the files together and send us through mail ([email protected]). This would help us in finding the root cause.

Photoshop elements 11 will not update?
Photoshop elements 11 will not update but produces an error message saying serer not available . I have given to allow contact through my firewall.

Problem since that extenede for the cloud has been coming up and I have just always quit and never subscribed now today the trial is over and i Have never used the trial and can not get back into cs6 for my work. No support from adobe until monday

DickDo you have a perpetual license (not a cloud subscription)?
If so, then you will have received a serial number.
You need to follow the prompts to the point where you enter your serial number and enter it. That should activate the software.
You'll need also to make sure you've updated it to the latest release. The specific number of that will depend on what kind of system you have.

I have CS6 10.0.6 x64 extended on Mac 10.6.8 and Canon 5D mark 111. I can not get CS6 to read my raw files. No new updates available. Any ideas guys?
If you go to Photoshop>About Plug-in and click on the words Camera Raw, what version does it list?
I suspect you still have Camera Raw 7.0
When you go to Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6, it says nothing available?
