Photoshop action not showing?

Just started messing around with Photoshop actions today. I downloaded some and imported them fine. I just found some more that I liked, went to import them but they are not showing under the actions folder. I have tried restarting Photoshop multiple times and they are still not showing. When I go to import the files again, a pop-up says asks if I want to overwrite the folder with that name already (so I know that they are importing correctly). Also, I have the ability to export them but I still cannot find them in the actions window. Any suggestions?

Action set files *.atn files can be loaded and saved from and to any folder. And they can be loaded by simply dropping the file onto Photoshop. Each version of Photoshop has it own set of Preferences files. One preference file names is "Actions Palette.psp" This files is where Photoshop stores you loaded and edited actions. Should your Photoshop preferences be reset you need to load your actions again for the file will be replaces with Adobe default file. So it you edit or record actions be sure you remember to save the Action sets so you don't loose them should you have to reset your Photoshop Preferences.

Ever since I switched over to The Cloud I have noticed when trying to open with my photoshop is not showing up on the list or the sub lists, when I try to open it under adobe I cannot find the ext file to link it with .. the program seems to be working other than that...

Hello! I will guess that you are using a PC (I guess that by "list" you mean the Start menu)
Usually, Adobe software are listed under their Creative Suite folders, you can try to look if there is a creative cloud. Also, a search for Photoshop.exe should let you see where it is located, and you should then be able to add a shortcut to your start menu.

2) open actions panel
3) input stop() in the actions
4) symbol definitions not showing in the the actions navigator..
i can add scripts for stage and can be selected from the actions panel..

I can only speak for myself, but your explanation of what you did and whatever problem you are having is not clear to me. The image doesn't appear to show anything as an issue. What are you trying to do and what do you expect to see?

Photoshop CS3 Not showing up in Tools--

I upgraded Dreamweaver only from CS3 to CS4, of course, it installed Bridge CS4, and I like the interface much better than CS3, I have Photoshop CS3, and want to use the Tools-->Photoshop-->Batch and Web Photo Gallery. but, in Bridge CS4, Photoshop and Photoshop Services is not an option on the menu.
First, is Photoshop CS3 compatible with Bridge CS4, if so, then how do I enable this option.

You can have have both versions on machine, but don't know if you can have have both running at same time.

Photoshop CS5 not showing up in DWCS4

OK So I had both DW and PS CS4 all was well photoshop icon was showing in images property inspector and double clicking an image would open it in photoshop. Then I upgraded to PS CS5 and DW would still open images in PS CS4 not the new PS CS5. So I figured if I removed PS CS4 it would work but I only got an error message saying it couldn't find PS CS4. I then called adobe support and after an hour on the phone with them they finally said try and uninstall and re install DW. Well I did that and still it doesn't work and I can't find the old PS CS4 to reinstall it so at this point there is absolutely no integration of DW with PS.

after all that I figured it out myself. In preference there is a file type editor section were you can pick which program to use when you want to edit specific file types. I obviously picked PS CS5 for .gif .jpg and .psd Now the PS icon is back and double clicking opens the image in PS CS5

Site actions not showing

Hi all,
The site actions have been taken off a website and are not showing even though I am logged on as a user with design and contribute permisssions. It only shows view all site content???
Any guidance would be great.

Actions Not Showing Up After Import

I imported a bunch of actions into Acrobat 11 (Creative Cloud version) from Acrobat 10 (the Version that came with CS6). They are not showing up in the Action Wizard panel, and the program will not let me reimport them because "The action has the same name as a previously imported action." Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I was having a similar problem after upgrading to Acro XI and seem to have finally resolved it today. In my case, the problem was a corrupt batch sequence, which caused problems with anything imported after it.
I was able to import several batch sequences using the same process Kapil did, but then no more would import. There was no error, but there was no confirmation message either and they didn't show up in the list under Tools > Action Wizard. Repeated attempts to add them resulted in the message Tickets On Sale reported, indicating something with that name already existed.
When I looked in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0\Sequences, the sequences that I'd been unable to import were listed with file size of 0. I deleted them and, through trial and error, determined that one of the files was corrupt. Once the corrupt file displayed in the directory with 0 file size, no other sequences would import. After I deleted the corrupt file from the directory, I was able to import the other, valid sequences. BTW, I found it simpler to add them by double clicking on the .sequ file from Windows Explorer. By also having an Explorer window open to the above-mentioned path, I could immediately see whether the sequence was imported successfully.

Photoshop problem (not showing the image)

i just installed photoshop on my new laptop and it does not show any images when i open them.
like you can see in teh image that i posted i have a picture opened (its also so in a layer)
i can use photoshop but i dont see anyting changing in the normal area( is does change in the layer box.)
i tried with different pictures

My money is on your document window being off screen.
At some point you may have had a secondary monitor attached which you have since disconnected, or you drastically changed your monitor resolution.
Trashing your preferences should fix it instantly:
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

Photoshop actions not working!

HELP!!! I am unable to play any of my Photoshop actions! (I have CS5 extended and I'm working on an iMac) They were working fine, now for some reason, whenever I mouse over the "play" button, I get a circle with a diagonal line through it. I tried deleting and reloading the actions, but the same thing happened. I have scoured the internet trying to find a solution. I would really appreciate help with this matter!!!!

Do you by chance have the action set selected and not an actual Action selected?

Photoshop CC not showing changes live

Since moving to Photoshop CC from Photoshop CS5 I have an issue that no matter what task I do in Photoshop it will not show the change till I click another tool and then click back.
So for instance I could type the word "Hello" but it will not show on my screen till I click another tool like the pointer tool and then click back to the text tool. The same happens for every change I make in Photoshop no matter the tool.
Here I've typed Hello.. this is what I see (font is red)
Now I've clicked the pointer tool. I can see the square around the text..but not the text itself
Now I've clicked back to the text tool and it shows up.
I have updated my computer drivers, graphic drivers, re-installed photoshop (after I reformatted my hard drive from a virus and it's happened on both copies). I've tried changing all my preferences and turning off 3D functions, turning on 3D functions and having high VRAM. Nothing fixes the issue and my computer is more than enough in terms of Ram/Processor/Graphics Card.
Anyone else have this issue and find a solution?

Photoshop CS6 not showing as registered

Almost a month ago I purchased Photoshop CS6 for Windows from isoftware.co.uk (in thr UK) and received an Adobe Licence Reference and a Product Serial Number. I downloaded the trial from the Adobe site and chose to immediately activate it with the Product Serial Number. All seemed to go through fine but when I now check the Adobe 'Myaccount' it does not show that the product is registered to me. What do I need to do to re-activate the product and ensure that Adobe acknowledge it as registerd to me? Thanks in advance.

Registering the product is a different process from activating the installed application.
You can simply go through the registration process now, either through the application itself or manually by entering your serial number in your Adobe account at Adobe's web site.

PhotoShop Extended not showing up

Problem with Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium. Installation was fine on my MacBook Pro but when I installed onto my iMac, PhotoShop Extended is not showing up. I still have PhotoShop.

It works as it should. You will have to deactivate your standalone PS first. Suite installers leave existing programs alone and don't change the licensing.

HT2946 Photoshop edits not showing up in Aperture full size image view

I see that my issue has actually been somewhat addressed in #9 of this article, however no matter how long I wait, the edits I make in PS simply do not show up in Aperture. The edits are visible in the thumbnail view, but disappear in full size view. The really strange thing is that this is a completely brand new issue. Literally just started about a week ago. So I'm guessing possibly I have inadvertantly changed a setting or something, but for the life of me, I cannot find anywhere to adjust it. Would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks!!

Aperture 3.2.3 has a bug at this time.
If you are running that version of Aperture, you may be experiencing the issue outlined here:

Edits, Actions and Plugins in Photoshop CS6 not showing

I bought a new computer and Adobe was nice enough to transfer all of my products to the new laptop without charging me. Things seemed to be great for 3 weeks and now when I create a layer mask, run an Action, or run Portraiture, etc it doesn't show up on my image. Anyone else have this problem and get a solution?

Nobody can know. "This doesn't work" posts are never a good way of asking for help. You have not provided any details about your system or your documents nor how the files were transferred. Chances are you missed or broke something or the plug-ins are not properly licensed and necessitate a reinstall.
