Hallo, ich fange klein an und arbeite z.Z. mit der Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter Edition. Darin finde ich die Funktion Korrigieren. Innerhalb des neuen Korrekturfenster wird mir angeboten mein Photo zu Bearbeiten mit.. Jetzt sollte das Produkt Photoshop Elements 2.0 aufgerufen werden. Es erscheint aber nur ein Newsletter zu diesem Produkt. Ich besitze Elements 2.0, habe es installiert. Wie binde ich die Software in die Starter Edition ein?

Move photos from old PC running Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition, to new PC running Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.

My old PC (Windows XP) has 8500+ photos with loads of tags attached using Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition.
I'm trying to move all photos, and tags, to my new PC (Windows 7) . I have installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 on my new PC.
All photos have been copied from the hard disk on the old PC to the hard disk on the new PC.
But how do I move the database/tag information between the old and new PC / between' Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition' and 'Photoshop Elements 8'?
All help is highly appreciated, as I really don't want to add all this valuable tag information manually...

All tags are correct, but PSE automatically reconnected only approx 5000 of the approx 8500 pictures (the picture directory has been changed)

Hi Jim, I am sure you must have already done this, but please ensure that there is no other user logged into your system. I have seen a similar message when another user was logged into my system and had Photoshop Album open in their session.
How much data do you have in your catalog? Is it a significant amount? Otherwise you could try deleting My Catalog.psa and then reinstalling PSA 2.0. However, with this you will loose all the tags and collections that you may have created. The images that you had will still be intact on your harddisk.
Also, your problem seems to be related to PSA2.0, posting this in PSA forum will increase the possibility of getting a solution. :)

Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter druckt nicht

Ich kann mit dem Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter-Edition nicht drucken.
Ich arbeite mit Windows XP, mein Drucker ist ein HP Deskjet 930 C (an USB-Schnittstelle) und funktioniert mit jedem bisher eingesetzten Programm. Beim Drucken mit o. g. Potoshop-Version gibt der Drucker beim Einziehen des Papiers seltsame mechanische laute Geräusche (ein ungesundes Rätschen) von sich und alle Lampen flackern bis der Drucker ausgeschaltet wird. Ein Papier wird nicht eingezogen. Beim ersten Druck danach aus irgendeinem anderen Programm werden anfangs dieselben Geräusche gemacht die dann nach dem Papiereinzug aufhören.
Was mache ich falsch?

Schau mal in PS Album nach, welches Papier bzw. welcher Einzugschacht eingestellt ist. Ich kann mir vorstellen, daß der Drucker irgendein Spezialpapier (Photokarton o. ä.) einziehen möchte, das aber nicht im Drucker liegt ...

How to go from Photoshop Album Starter Edition to Photoshop Elements?

I have both Photoshop Album Starter Edition and Photoshop Elements on my computer. I didn't even know I had the PSA SE--I just assumed it was part of Photoshop Elements when it automatically opened after I stuck my photo disk in. So I started playing around with it and cataloged my new photos. Then I started Photoshop Elements, and none of the cataloging or tags that I had just entered in PSA SE were there. Is there any way to transfer the information from PSA SE to Photoshop Elements without having to retype everything?

You need to locate the PSA SE catalog file. It is called My Catalog.PSA and is Docs&Settings somewhere [in a hidden folder]. Once you have located it, in PSE organizer do File/Catalog/Open and navigate to the file you just located. It will be converted and everything should work OK.

How can I export photos from Photoshop Album Starter Edition to Photoshop 7.0?

The pictures are there on your hard drive.
Photoshop 7 does not "import" pictures – you open them when you want to edit them.
In case you meant Photoshop Elements 7.0, there is a thing called the Organizer.

Need help getting pics from Adobe Starter Edition to Photoshop Elements 10!!!

I had Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition already installed on my computer when I bought it. I hadn't used it in quite a while because my camera was broken. I recently got a new camera. I tried to export my pics to my computer and as soon as it came up my pics immediately went to Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition. It wants me to put in a registration code which I don't have because it is no longer a working product. I talked to someone in chat and they said to install Photoshop Elements and I should be able to get them into the new program. I've installed that and I still can't figure out how to do it when the starter edition won't let me do anything without a registration key!!!!!!!!!!! I want my pics back!!! These pics are precious to me.....the sad part is I clicked on the box to NOT erase them from my camera....and it erased them anyways. Can someone please help???

Your pictures are not really in the starter edition program.
From an adobe employee Mark Dahm:
"It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files.The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.
The thumbnails in the Starter Edition catalog will exist, even if you decide to move or delete the original photos that were added to the program. This will cause files in the Photoshop Album catalog to become 'disconnected' from the original photos. To reconnect the files, you can use the File>Reconnect Missing files command to see if the program can locate the original files in a new location, and once again re-link the catalog thumbnails to the files they once referenced.
Since Photoshop Album has been discontinued, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution. One alternative that will preserve most of what you've created in Starter Edition is the Photoshop Elements 8 trial. Install that, and it will automatically convert the Photoshop Album catalog to a current format, and the program will not time out, as Starter Edition did. If you want to purchase more Editing power, you can also choose to purchase the full program, but it's not required.
If you are like many who have come to this forum wondering how you can get to your photos, now that the program has become locked or expired, don't worry; your photos have never been moved by Photoshop Album; they remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive. To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. From starter edition to photoshop elements 12

how do we transfer the collections and tags from windows xp (adobe starter edition) to windows 8.1 (adobe photoshop elements 12)? There are close to 200 collections in ADOBE STARTER EDITION 3.2. It looks like elements 12 calls them albums.

Photoshop Elements consists of two components. The Organizer with which you manage and organize your media. This is where collections and tags will show. The Editor with which you can edit your images.
If it does what you want, you would install the product from the trial download onto your Windows 8 computer. Then backup your catalog from your XP machine and restore it to your Windows 8 machine.

Photoshop Album 3.0 Starter Edtion

I have loaded the above program from a cd which seemed to be ok.On trying to use it I get the following error message,
Buffer over run detected Program n\3.0\apps\photoshop album starter edition.exe
A buffer over run has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state.The program cannot safely continue execution and must be terminated This message occurs both from a cd and the internet.prior to this I had version 2.0 which has been removed

Photoshop Adobe 3.2 starter edition stopped working

A couple of days ago my Adobe 3.2 starter edition quit working. It asked me to re register then when I did I got an email reply saying that: The Adobe Starter edition is no longer available....What's up with that?

I believe that there is a separate forum on Photoshop Starter, but have to admit that I could not find the link to offer it up to you. It seems that John Joslin has posted it before, as have some others. Maybe your boolean is better than mine, and you'll be able to find the exact forum.

Photoshop crashes when I use Edit in Photoshop CC 2014 from Lightroom 5.6

I have Adobe Lightroom 5.6. Whenever I try to Edit in Photoshop CC (2014) when Photoshop has not been started, Photoshop immediately crashes with a message of:
Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 cannot be opened because of a problem.
This happens regardless of what option I choose to Edit in: 1) Copy with Lightroom adjustments, 2) Copy, or 3) Original
If Photoshop is already open, I don't have this problem.
I am running Mac OS X Mavericks. Everything is up to date.
How can I correct this?

That is not an application crash - that is a kernel panic, which means there is a hardware defect, a bug in the OS or a bug in a low level driver (like parts of the video driver). Kernel panics are not caused by applications, but by defective hardware or bugs in the OS and drivers.
Resetting prefs may avoid the settings that triggered the crash - but the cause remains in the hardware, OS, or driver code.
Since Apple is not going to update the drivers in 10.6.8, your best bet is to update the OS when you can, and hope the new drivers are in better shape. Unfortunately, it is also possible that you just have a bad GPU or video RAM - and fixing that would require replacing the video card or system (in the case of laptops or all-in-one machines).

Photoshop file error -43 on "Edit in Photoshop"

Hi,
I'm trying to create a simple menu using an Encore library menu a starting point. When I click the Edit in Photoshop button, I get the above error. Below are the steps to recreate the error. This youtube video also shows the steps.
Create a new project.
Drag PAL_blank menu WIDE from the library to the project window.
Drag Nifty Fifties button from library to the menu.
Click the Edit in Photoshop button.
Encore pops up an error box containing the error message "Photoshop File Error -43"
Photoshop CS5 and Encore CS5. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Also CS5, Win7 64 bit.
I do not get the error.
Slight variation on your steps: I create a new project, set as PAL.
The menu list does not show pal or ntsc, just Blank Menu Wide, but the menu name once in is PAL_Blank Menu WIDE.
I don't think there is any choice on those points, and don't believe it has anything to do with the error.
Its a file not found error. Makes me wonder about permissions. Try starting Encore as "run as administrator."

Lightroom is no longer connecting to Photoshop when I choose to "Edit in Photoshop"

I've no clue how to repair this, and without fixing this...any editing I do in photoshop will now seem to need to be manually added to Lightroom...which I do not even want to contemplate. When I rightclick on an image and select Edit in --> Photoshop CS6, nothing happens...Photoshop does not open as it used to. I'd thought it might be Nik Collection trial or OnOne photo suite trial I'd installed, but I uninstalled both and restarted my computer, and the problem still exists. I'm using the current creative cloud version of both lightroom and photoshop. Any advice?

Photoshop Album 3.0 Starter - Katalogproblem!!

Ich habe folgendes Problem: ich habe vor kurzem PSA 3.0 SE installiert, hatte vorher PSA 2.0 SE. Bei beiden Versionen dasselbe Problem: es lässt sich kein Katalog öffnen, geschweige denn reparieren oder neu erstellen. Version 2.0 hat bis zum Sommer super funktioniert, und dann kam mit einem mal jedesmal diese Fehlermeldung, die auch jetzt bei der 3.0-Version immer wieder kommt. Habe schon mehrfach (komplett) deinstalliert und wieder neu installiert - nichts.
Hier mal der Originaltext der Fehlermeldung:
"Beim Öffnen des Katalogs Mein Katalog-1 trat ein Problem auf. Der Katalog wurde möglicherweise von einem anderen Benutzer oder in einer anderen Anwendung geöffnet. Eventuell sind auch Dateien veraltet, beschädigt oder nicht vorhanden. Die ODBC-Datenquelle gab folgenden Fehler aus: "[Microsoft][ODBC DriverManager]Der Datenquellenname wurde nicht gefunden, und es wurde kein Standardtreiber angegeben". Möchten Sie versuchen, den Katalog zu komprimieren, zu reparieren und dann erneut zu öffnen?"
Wenn ich dann auf ok klicke, kommt folgende Meldung: "Beim Wiederherstellen des Katalogs trat ein Problem auf. Der Katalog ist möglicherweise in Ordnung. Bei Problemen, die sich nicht mit "Katalog wiederherstellen" oder einem Systemneustart lösen lassen, müssen Sie den Katalog per Back-Up wiederherstellen."
Und dann geht die ganze Leier wieder von vorne los...
Das Programm lässt sich nicht mal mehr starten.
Hat jemand eine Idee??
Ach ja, habe noch PS CS drauf (der läuft aber einwandfrei). PSE 3.0 hatte ich auch, hab es aber deinstalliert, weil ich annahm, dass das Problem evtl damit zusammenhängen könnte - Fehlanzeige... Werd es wieder neu installieren.

Habe das Problem grad selber lösen können: PSE 3.0 neu installiert, das Update 3.0.1 installiert und sämtliche Kataloge mit PSE geöffnet, konvertiert und repariert.
Alles läuft wie geschmiert :D

Suddenly unable to print in the correct size in photoshop album 3.2 starter

Hi,
I have tried to print out 4X6 photos but despite setting paper sizes etc correctly in settings and printer settings the prog is showing and printing the pic approx 1/2 size and opposite orientAtion (but all of pic).
I have been able to print these before, for ages.
Am using a HP photosmart 8400.
Any ideas?
