Photoshop Album 2 unlock code

I have photoshop 2 starter edition. I have the unlock code. But it tells me I have to administrator rights in order to do this. I use Win ME and I am the only user it's not set up for administrator or any other user. What do I do????
I really like this program and would like to use it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried everything to unlock this code. It says I must have administrator rights in order to unlock the code. I don't have my computer set up to be anything other than 1 user. Any more ideas on how to unlock this thing?

THat is an ancient program, the photos are on your computer, probably in pictures folder. Don't have to run program.

How do I get around the registration page that pops up when I go to the photoshop. The page will not let me by to try any thing.

Can someone please advise how to get an unlock code? I received the software with a camera I purchased. I completed the registration form that opens with the software (numerous times). I click submit, it sends the registration, tells me I will receive an email with the code, and an email never comes. I have checked the junk folder.

Your photos are safe, and are present in the folder on your computer that you specified when importing them. If you used Photoshop Album Starter Edition to import your files from the camera without changing the default folder, look in this folder:
Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\My Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos

I too have got problems with the Photoshop Album Starter Edition Album. My photos are locked in there from 2006 onwards and without any warning I am now unable to access them. The on screen message asks me to register with Adobe for an unlock code and when I tried this the reply came back that the product is no longer supported by Adobe. I rang their customer services (UK) and they told me they no longer supported this product and to contact an IT support man!!!!
Appalled at this. Thanks Adobe - I think not. Anybody else offer me support in overcoming this problem? Thanks.

You're not alone in wondering about how to get photos 'out' of Starter Edition. There are a few posts like this in the forum, all of which are based on the false assumption that Starter Edition has exclusive access to the photos that appear to be 'in' the program.

It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files.The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.
The thumbnails in the Starter Edition catalog will exist, even if you decide to move or delete the original photos that were added to the program. This will cause files in the Photoshop Album catalog to become 'disconnected' from the original photos. To reconnect the files, you can use the File>Reconnect Missing files command to see if the program can locate the original files in a new location, and once again re-link the catalog thumbnails to the files they once referenced.
Since Photoshop Album has been discontinued, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution. One alternative that will preserve most of what you've created in Starter Edition is the Photoshop Elements 8 trial. Install that, and it will automatically convert the Photoshop Album catalog to a current format, and the program will not time out, as Starter Edition did. If you want to purchase more Editing power, you can also choose to purchase the full program, but it's not required.
If you are like many who have come to this forum wondering how you can get to your photos, now that the program has become locked or expired, don't worry; your photos have never been moved by Photoshop Album; they remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive. To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. If anyone is still having trouble getting a pass code for Adobe Photoshop starter edition 3.0 you will need to contact their CSR directly at 1-800-833-6687. I just called I spoke with a Rep. by the name of Jess she is a female she was very helpful and polite. What they will need is your contact info. and your email address so they can manually find your starter account in their system. Then they will issue you a code to unlock the system to retrieve your locked pictures.
You don't need to register becasue Adobe 3.0 is no longer being used or avaliable. The new system is Photoshop.com you will need to register for Photoshop.com. It's simple and free of charge at no cost to you. What you will need to do once you receive the code is immediately transfer your photos from Adobe 3.0 to Photoshop.com. it will take some time to download but let it run. Remember this is only a temporary code so it will expire and lock again if it's not used in a timely manner.
The code I received from Jess was 92c1d14e. This unlocked my account immediately with no problems. So I hope this code will work for you. I don't know if this code will work for others however it doesn't hurt to give it a try. If not then please call the number above that I've provided you with so one of the Reps. can issue you a code.

You could download the Photoshop Elements Trial, which contains a more advanced version of Photoshop Album Starter Edition; it will convert your Photoshop Album catalog, including the tags and so forth, and it won't lock you out, even if you exceed the 30 day trial.

Cannot unlock my Photoshop album Starter 3.0

I have been attempting to unlock my Adobe Photoshop album starter Ed. 3.0
I just spent forever waiting for assistance from adobe and after I got (Trish) she was of no help what so ever and she hung up on me when I needed to be told that I had to register to post a request for information. She gave me two unlock codes, neither of which worked. Can someone please help me as all my pictures are in this program.
How do I unlock? I registered and then it says they will send me an unlock code; which they never have. thus my telephone call and waiting forever and then getting hung up on.
If someone could help me I would appreciate some assistance. Adobe does not respond to e-mails that I have sent.

There are lots of posts here about unlocking problems. Have you looked through them? There should be some help there.

Re-register / Enter Unlock Code Every Time PS Album is Launched

I have a client with Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 bringing up the registration screen each time it's launched. The registration has been completed several times, and each time he did receive his unlock code. If you put the unlock code in, it is accepted no problem. However, next time Album is launched, it comes back up with the registration screen. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I had the same problem, registering again every time I opened the program, even though the unlock code had been accepted before.
I was going to uninstall it.
I went to "Add or Remove Programs", clicked "Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2"(the first of two entries), clicked "Change/Remove", and in the box that appeared was a choice to remove or repair. OK, what have I got to lose, so I chose repair. I then started the program, installed my unlock code one more time, and have been free of the problem since.

Unlocked, Registered and Working (Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition v3.0)

Following several threads in this user-to-user forum, I lodged a bug report with Adobe and to my amazement, was promptly helped out of the sticky situation of not being able to connect to the internet/register Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition v3.0. After providing all my details and Windows version etc, Adobe came back with an unlock code matched to my email address and ... razzamatazz...problem cured. Moral is simple: lodge a bug report providing all information then and subsequently to Adobe, and sit back.

The same thing happens to me, I've gotten the code and the "unlock now" button won't work. I've tried cut and paste and manually entering. I've tried registering again, and I've deleted the entire program and started over, still can't get the "UNLOCK NOW" to highlight for unlocking. Can't get code to "Enter", what am I doing wrong?

I don't believe the unlock codes for adobe photoshop starter edtion 3.2 are available anymore.
You can however access your photos, as they are stored on your computer in somewhere like your docoments>pictures folder
and open them with another photo editor such as photoshop elements.
Also, the catalog can be most likely converted for use in the photoshop elements organizer
