Photoshop Album Starter v 3.0 Activation Code
Hello, I went to activate Photoshop on my new laptop yesterday. A screen appeared that asked me to fill in my e-mail address ([email protected]) my UK postcode, and to accept the two options required by EU regulations. Having filled in the details, a message appeared saying I would be e-mailed an Activation Code. I have not yet received the e-mail, 24 hours later. Am I missing something?
Am I missing something?
Yes. You are trying to use a product that has been dead for a decade and the servers have long been shut off. You need to think of something else.

Cannot unlock Photoshop Album Starter 3.2 with unlock code
Why am I unable to access my pictures with an unlock code in Photoshop Album Starter 3.2?
You posted in the Photoshop forum by mistake. I've moved your post to the Album forum.
But Album has been discontinued for several years now, see Photoshop Album Starter Edition support withdrawal FAQ -
Two days ago I introduced photos of my baby into my PC and automatically went into the programm Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2. Then they were deleted of my photo camera. Then I wanted to access to the photos in the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 but I read that since the end of Juny we need a decodification code and that now it is not availabel. So I don't have this code and I need to access to the photos. Please, somebody can help me?. Thank you.
Thank you for your help, Gunjan, but I have already tried to contact adobe tech support and I cannot get a code still now. I just find fixed issues where there is not shown my problem and I cannot find the way to write my question about my need of a code for Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2. Could you or somebody tell me the way to get the code through adobe.
Thank you

ERROR CODE: c0000005, Photoshop Album Starter 3.0
I cannot open Photoshop Album Starter 3.0, unable to access pictures and download any pictures. Is there a fix for this? I get error code c0000005 & address 4001b2f.
Hi Donna,<br /><br />I would suggest you to delete perferences and try again. Preferences are located in <br />C:\Documents and Settings\<Logon name>\Application data\Photoshop Album\3.0<br /><br />Delete files present over there. Please note that Application data is a hidden folders so you need to make "Show hidden files and folders" under explorer -> Tools --> Folder options -> View.<br /><br />I am using Photoshop Album Starter Edition on Windows XP + SP2 and it is working fine. Which OS and service pack are you using?

Re: unlock code to Photoshop album Starter Edition 3
I too have got problems with the Photoshop Album Starter Edition Album. My photos are locked in there from 2006 onwards and without any warning I am now unable to access them. The on screen message asks me to register with Adobe for an unlock code and when I tried this the reply came back that the product is no longer supported by Adobe. I rang their customer services (UK) and they told me they no longer supported this product and to contact an IT support man!!!!
Appalled at this. Thanks Adobe - I think not. Anybody else offer me support in overcoming this problem? Thanks.Adobe Poor,
You're not alone in wondering about how to get photos 'out' of Starter Edition. There are a few posts like this in the forum, all of which are based on the false assumption that Starter Edition has exclusive access to the photos that appear to be 'in' the program.

It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files. The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.
The thumbnails in the Starter Edition catalog will exist, even if you decide to move or delete the original photos that were added to the program. This will cause files in the Photoshop Album catalog to become 'disconnected' from the original photos. To reconnect the files, you can use the File>Reconnect Missing files command to see if the program can locate the original files in a new location, and once again re-link the catalog thumbnails to the files they once referenced.
Since Photoshop Album has been discontinued, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution. One alternative that will preserve most of what you've created in Starter Edition is the Photoshop Elements 8 trial. Install that, and it will automatically convert the Photoshop Album catalog to a current format, and the program will not time out, as Starter Edition did. If you want to purchase more Editing power, you can also choose to purchase the full program, but it's not required.
If you are like many who have come to this forum wondering how you can get to your photos, now that the program has become locked or expired, don't worry; your photos have never been moved by Photoshop Album; they remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive. To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. Here is a handy How-To that you could refer to to find photos on your system, as well as some other tips for how you can use folders to keep your photos organized: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/maintain/filemgmt.mspx
Hope those tips help!

Photoshop Album Starter Ed 3.0
I need an unlocking code for Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0
Photoshop Album activation servers were shut down in 2009 so you cannot get a code. Try the PSE12 thirty day trial, it will convert your PS Album into the new Organizer and you can see if you want to buy it or not. Lots of info here - http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/whathappenedto/p/photoshopalbum.htm.

Lost Photos in Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2
My email stated that my photos were transfered to Revel. Only one photo switched. The rest are stuck at Adobe Photoshop Album starter edition 3.2. I can see my photos are sitting there but are stuck behind the product registeration looking for a product unlock code. This product stopped being supported in 2009. So, I have no unlock code. I was able to access my photos in the beginning of May but now that it transfered to Revel, they are being held hostage.
Files were only copied from Photoshop.com to Revel, not from any other place. You may try this link to see if you can unlock your other files, and then you can upload them to Revel from your hard drive:

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter 3.2 gives error when plugging in iPhone 3G
So, I plug my iPhone iunto my laptop... iTunes opens... Adobe Photoshop Album Starter 3.2 starts up to backup/transfer photos... and then I get:
Fatal Error
Adobe Photoshop Album Starter 3.2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Error code: c0000005
Address: 7c911895
Tried dowbloading app again... didn't help.
HELP! ThanksI have a similar problem with my new iphone 4, but I never had the problem with my previous iphone 3g.
Your post seems promising. However, you say ''right click on the APD icon in the system tray (it must be resembling a small camera) and select disable''. Unfortunatlely I don't know where to find '' the system tray''. Control Panel has a system folder but I can't find any access to an icon resembling a camera. Also, I am used to using Adobe Photoshop downloader. Since it worked with my previous iphone, can't it be made to work with the iphone 4?

Cannot unlock my Photoshop album Starter 3.0
I have been attempting to unlock my Adobe Photoshop album starter Ed. 3.0
I just spent forever waiting for assistance from adobe and after I got (Trish) she was of no help what so ever and she hung up on me when I needed to be told that I had to register to post a request for information. She gave me two unlock codes, neither of which worked. Can someone please help me as all my pictures are in this program.
How do I unlock? I registered and then it says they will send me an unlock code; which they never have. thus my telephone call and waiting forever and then getting hung up on.
If someone could help me I would appreciate some assistance. Adobe does not respond to e-mails that I have sent. There are lots of posts here about unlocking problems. Have you looked through them? There should be some help there.
> all my pictures are in this program
No they aren't. It is just cataloging what's on your hard drive.
