Photoshop and Mac sleep problem.

Hi everyone, I have a MacBook Pro Retina, intel i7, 8 GB of RAM, SSD, I've installed the Photoshop CC (2014) trail version, because i'm interested to buy the complete version. The problem is that if my mac goes in stop, only after the installation of PS, when i try to use it, the MacBook shows me only a black screen with the pointer for about 30 second. I called Apple Support and they say me to contact Adobe support. Anyone has the same problem? How can I solve it? I'm interested to buy the complete version, but I don't want this problem. Thank you!

Color Conversion Problems between Illustrator and Photoshop (and Mac and PC)

Hi guys (and gals) Hope someone can help me here.
Got an issue working with a web design companywho when opening my eps logo file from Illustrator (I'm running all CS5.5 they're running CS4) into their version of Photoshop the color values are different. I'm not talking about 'not looking the same' but when clicking on the colors they have different numeric values. I'm running Mac OS X ad they're running a Windows based OS.
My Illustrator file is in RGB mode. It has an Adobe RGB profile attached to it. I've set the web design company's PC version of Photoshop color settings to Adobe RGB and preseve embedded profiles as a setting.
However the conversion issue still happens. Tried exporting my color palatte as a .ase swatch file and imorting a new swatch set into their Photoshop and still getting the different color values.
Anyone experienced this issue before? Am I missing changing a color/profile setting on one of the machines/software packages?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Why are you using EPS? It is kind of outdated format these days.
EPS does not support color profiles. The default Save as EPS options in Illustrator include CMYK conversion which changes the values. To avoid this uncheck "Include CMYK Post Script" in the save options. Then when you open the file in Photoshop the RGB values will be the same and if you want it displayed the same, in Photoshop choose Edit > Assign Profile and choose the same profile - Adobe RGB in your case. The color settings in Photoshop will have no effect and can remain unchanged.
If you do that using the same computer the colors will be identical in values and appearance. If you do it on different computers the values will be the same and the color appearance will depend on if both computers have been calibrated to display colors accurately.

I need implement WPA and MAC filtering.
I found what :
In IOS 12.2(13)JA branch IOS and before, MAC authentication was supported
in conjunction with WPA.
In 12.2(15)JA and above, configuring MAC authentication with WPA does not
work. MAC Authentication passes everyone through.
I can't found IOS 12.2(13) in Cisco site.
Can anybody help me and give link to download 12.2(13)JA ?

" This serial number for Adobe Photoshop turning 12 could not be checked out to the support. . " : After entering the serial number following message appears. Did anyone ever here have to do with this problemß

There is a German version because I'm from Germany. Excuse the typos. Here the screenshot of the error message. Could it be that the software does not communicate with Adobe , so the fault is by the Mac system? Please, i need help.

Mac Sleeping Problems

This problem just started Monday and I've never had this before until now. I put my Mac to sleep on Monday night before I went to bed. Exactly 20 minutes later it wakes itself back up like it's possessed or something. I put it back to sleep and then again, 20 minutes exactly, it wakes back up again. So I shut it off so it wouldn't wake back up again.
Yesterday, (Tuesday) night I put the computer to sleep after putting it on a surge protector and it went to sleep fine.
Today (Wednesday), I put the computer to sleep at midnight the night before and never woke it up again during the day. Then I was into my room and see it just turned on. I check the logs to see if my cat hit the keyboard again but I got this.

Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.

E1200 - Ports not working and mac filtering problem

If there was a way to give negative stars to this router, I would. As it is, the minimum rating I can give this product is one star, and that's one star too many.
I was upgrading from the WRT54G, which is an ugly thing to look at, but a reliable workhorse nonetheless. I turned that in to a downstream switch in my comms hub.
On the E1200, I flashed the latest firmware, used different Cat5 cables, and different laptops before committing to hating this product.
The first time I reached out to Amazon, the Amazon rep gave me a Cisco number to call. Turns out, that's some shady mortgage refinance hotline. Try it for yourself! 1-800-666-1771.
Now, the rant -
1. Two out of four wired LAN ports don't work: What can be the fix for this?! The activity lights on ports 3 and 4 blink and suggest data transfer is taking place, but the wired laptop simply can't acquire an IP address and access the internet. Same result when I connect my Panasonic Blu-Ray player to ports 3 and 4. None of the Viera Cast features load.
2. MAC filtering unreliable: The wireless routing works somewhat reliably, if and only if, one settles for the most basic security. If I only choose a password and WPA2 protocol, things work fine. If I add another layer of security (in my case, enabling MAC filtering and only PERMITTING gateway to listed MAC IDs), things break down. As soon as I disable MAC filtering, wireless access to authenticated clients is restored.
3. Cisco customer service: The censored world we live in, compels me to criticize politely. TERRIBLE. Cisco website is unintuitive, and frustrating. There's no easy way to register your purchased product. The Cisco "registration" is intentionally misleading and deceptive. For all intents and purposes, it's just an information gathering tool for Cisco. Don't bother registering there, unless you love the idea of storing your personal information on their servers. Their phone-based customer service is apathetic and uninterested. My rep was so distrusting of my intelligence and motor control, that he simply wouldn't believe that I had selected "PERMIT" and not "PREVENT" as the option under MAC filtering. After he asked me the same question for the fourth time, I raised my voice, and he gave up the idea of checking for the fifth time.
However, this review is a tale of two companies. I reached out to Amazon again. This time, I got a rockstar in the shape of Leanne C! She was incredibly helpful, and understanding. What's more, she set up my return without any hassle and this Cisco dud is on its way back. I'm a big fan of Leanne's and my confidence in Amazon is restored.
I'm sure that i received a lemon. I've never had problems with Linksys products. Maybe others' experience is different from mine.

In your case as port numbers 1 and 2 does not work, what you could have done a loop back test. To perform a loop back test you need to take an ethernet cable, connect one end of that cable to internet port and the other end to the non-working port on the router. If you get the led to glow on both internet and the respective ethernet port that indicates that the port is working fine.
It could also be a sychronization issue between the above mentioned lan ports and the lan card of your computer. As a part of trouble shooting you can try to reduce the card speed of your lan card. Following are the steps to reduce the speed of your lan card.
START--> right-click My Network Places and click Properties
right-click on the device manager and click properties
Click on the CONFIGURE button
Select the ADVANCED tab and in the box under the header property select "speed and duplex" and change the value on the right to 10 mbps half duplex. A restart would be recommended after performing these steps.
In the second half you said that after enabling the mac filter option the internet breaks down. Here, do you mean to say that the computer
gets disconnected from the wireless network or it stays connected with a valid IP address but without an internet connection.
Well, it is an unusual issue however you could have reset and reconfigure the router as you got the latest firmware upgraded on it.
Steps to reset the router:
Push the reset button on router for 30 seconds, turn off the router wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.

Will my Mini run Photoshop without any problems? My machine is a 2.26GHz, with 8GB memory, also, it's got a 120GB SSD. Thanks in advance for everyone's time.

You will be more than happy. I run Photoshop everyday with the same system minus SSD and PS never stumbles.
And I am used to using am MacPro with dedicated NVIDIA graphics card.

E3200 - https and mac cloning problem

Took me one whole day to get it working. 3 different Linksys tech supports worked with me in chat sessions for 5-6 hours. Eventually, figured out a trick that would get it working every time: I had to do mac address cloning manually, because somehow this router doesn't work with my cable modem with default mac address?
The funny thing is that the first 2 tech support guys already helped me find out we should do manual mac cloning to get it working, yet the 3rd tech support guy insisted that Cisco Connect software already took care of mac cloning, there's no need to manually do it, and the only thing to blame is the intermittent network connection of my ISP. But my old D-Link works fine with the cable modem and the ISP. It's just this new E3200 router kept having problem, unless I manually clone mac address...
Another funny thing is that, the setup page of the router allows you to enable https, yet https apparently doesn't work on this version of firmware (as of Mar 23 2012). I disabled http and enabled https only, hoping that it'd be more secure to access the setup pages that way, only to find out that since https doesn't work, there's no way to log into the router any more, unless I reset it...

To set the router all it requires is a proper physical connectivity between your modem, router and computer. There are 2 way to setup the router.
1) Setting it up through Cisco Connect software.
2) Setting it up through manual configuration.

Second, I would like to ask few question. Like did you try opening up the router management page by “https://192.168.1.1” in Internet Explorer 8. If not, then try to open the Router Management page in the same manner in any other browser and check whether it opens or not.

Itunes and Mac Pro Problem -- Help Please

Having a really strange problem and could use some help.
I've got a Mac Pro with my wife's Ipod attached. Updating songs on the Ipod has become very, very slow. Literally, it's taking hours to move over a couple of albums.
Just out of curiousity, I hooked it up to a Macbook Pro in the house and everything was just fine. Tried reinstalling itunes on the Mac Pro and it didn't do it the trick.
All machines are intel based. Other peripherals are working fine.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Usb music peripherals and mac sleep mode

I have a novation impulse keyboard and a scarlett 2i2 connected directly to my iMac via usb. They seems to stay awake even when the Mac's asleep. Is this usual and, if so, do I have to disconnect them before putting Mac to sleep? If so, do I do this simply by pulling out the usb connectors because there are no desktop icons to eject?

Mac Sleep Problem?

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro (10.6.8) on Snow Leopard still and just recently, I've been putting my laptop on sleep (by either closing the lid or from the apple) and then I lift it up and it's black. The only way it's solved is when the power button is pressed. Not reset, just pressed. Then, I get a grey screen and little white loading bars or something as if the battery died or something. What do I do, I want to be able to put it on sleep at night!

Blue Screen, Missing Dock and Mac HD problems

There seem to be at least three problems with my iMAC:
1) the screen is blue even though under System Preferences, it is set for an image,
2) the Dock is missing even though under Dock Settings, it should not be hidden and should be at the bottom (oddly when I select "right" location for the dock, the radio button does not light up, but is changed if I close and reopen the preferences screen), and
3) clicking on the Macintosh HD does not open it or the other files (e.g., PDF, *.doc) on the Desktop.
The only recent change I made to the system was to add Clamxav for virus scans, but that was scheduled to run on Monday. I have been traveling and my spouse is not sure when the issues started.
I have tried the PRAM re-set explained elsewhere, but that did not help. Any other possible solutions?

Welcome to Discussions - my first response would be to reset the PRAM, even though yu have already done it Try doing it again and if that doesn't help, check your disk using Disk Utility:
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
Please post back with results, it could be a combination of problems, or it coul be corrupted preferences, try running Preferential Treatment to see if that's the case.

Battery and Safe Sleep problems

I have a MacBook (original black, 10.4.10, 2 GHz Core Duo, 2 GB RAM).
When the battery is low, but showing some charge in the menu bar icon (either black or red), many times the computer will just shut off without any warning that my battery is low.
I have calibrated the battery by running it all the way down and then charging it full; I have done the SMC(?) reset by removing all power and holding the power button for 5 seconds. My firmware is 1.4f12.
But after this unexpected shut down occurs and I subsequently power up the MacBook, I am not restored to my previous state via Safe Sleep, so I lose unsaved changes to open documents. I am also concerned that these unexpected shut-downs will eventually lead to problems with my hard drive.
Any help?

You need to have your battery replaced. The original core duo batteries warranty was extended an extra year. Follow the instructions in the battery update on how to get this resolved. Mine was doing the same thing and a new battery fixed the problem.

IPad and Mac authorization problems.

When I plug in my iPad 2 into my Mac iTunes says that it is no longer authorized to play things that I have purchased on my iPad. It took off more than half my apps and I cannot put them back on. When I try to authorize my computer, it says that it is already authorized. Please help!

Have you downloaded apps on your iPad from two different accounts? For example, your friends account then your account.
If so, click authorize this computer, and then authorize the other account.
