Photoshop and other CC apps go to 'not responding' for 60 seconds on start up due to firewall... any ideas?

For the last few weeks, Avast Firewall freezes Photoshop CC 2014 and Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 (and probably others, I have not tested them all) for about 50-60 seconds each time they load. If I disable the Avast firewall, they load and are accessible right away. But I cannot find any settings in Photoshop or on the web for ways to allow the Adobe CC 2014 programs through the firewall. Can anyone help? I have my network set as 'Private' and 'Friend' enabled and have the Windows firewall off. I'm using Avast Premium.

Thanks, but I've tried that, with the entire Adobe directory. It is definitely a Firewall issue, I can leave the rest of the shields on and it works fine.
So what I eventually found were the firewall rules in Avast. There are many auto-created rules that allow things through, but they weren't letting these apps make the contact they needed to run. Avast has a setting that allows you to let it 'auto-decide' on the access for any apps where the rules don't allow some type of communication. It works for the most part, but I changed all of the Adobe apps to 'ask me' (some 70 or so entries!). Then when opening Photoshop, it asked for permission for several services including dynamiclinkmanager and qt32server. And the same happened for Media Encoder and Premiere Pro, except they each asked for access for their own self-named host program as well. Now they open without issue. So I'll leave this here for others who may run into this.
As a side note, I saw the system trying to use port 2869 in the firewall logs and added an exception for it, but that didn't help. But the above solved it, at least for now.

My Client have 4 computers, all win7, running cs 5 or 6, the newest the cloudbased version.
The problem has been sinc upgrading from cs3.
"Program not responding" for 35 seconds, before loading the file on 1/4 of time.
It is not on specific files, and no patton.
it does'nt matter if the files are on network or saved local on Harddrive.
the sice does'nt matter.
Only switching of nic and wifi stops the problem.
I did try downloading other files (not made by my client), from the net, they do not trigger the problem.
What else then the Files can bee the problem? can anyone test my files to see what is wrong?

I have a very similar problem with my CS6 Ai on our company network. I sometimes use Illustrator for image heavy documents less than 10 pages. These have a lot of placed images.
It will freeze, say "not responding" and curser switches to blue spinner. Then about 15 sec later it unfreezes and I can work for another 60 sec or so, then repeat freeze, blue spinner, etc. Very annoying. When i unplug the network LAN cable the problem goes away and I sail along. I have tried relocating the Ai file to my desktop (not sure about the images).
Waiting on any feedback or help, our IS guys are getting stumped. I could switch to InDesign for this work but not my preference.

Hp pavilion dv6000 few keys not responding for few minutes at start up

I have hp pavilion dv6000 laptop, its 1and half years old. the problem im facing is that its few keys i.e. (G, H, ', BACKSPACE, Esc and F7) do not work for 5 to 6 minutes when i start the laptop in the morning. Then for the whole day, these keys work fine.
Any help????????

If you are not able to successfully restore to a previous working point on your desktop, I recommend performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.

Fullscreen Window for swiping - Not possible with Adobe Photoshop and others

Hello,
i dont know why but it´s no more possible since Yosemite to have a fullscreen window with all apps, so that i can swipe between this windows. Any idea how to fix that? Or is Yosemite really such a degradation?
PS: Yes, i used the search before and checked that i can also use option key to have other option, but that is not possible for some applications like:
Adobe Dreamweaver CS6
Photoshop CS6
Transmit (FTP Application)
etc.

Do you not want Premiere Pro models for Premiere Elements issues. There are more than enough Premiere Elements documents on its DV HDV data capture firewire into its Capture window.

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first.

Installed Yosemite and now lost apps and also my App Store does not open. Does anybody know how to fix the problem?

Some weeks ago, I installed OS X Yosemite, as shown on my App Store, that was a "System Update available for my IMac 2009". Followed all the steps, normally and installed it as I did many other times ago (with the Maverick, Mountain Lion, OS X).
Just after the installation, I noticed that every single folder or program that depends on "Apple", stopped working.
Examples: Office package opens normally, so as Firefox. But, IPhoto, ITunes, Safari and App Store itself do not.
That is causing me fear, because even trying to reinstall Yosemite or return to the one I had before, using App Store became impossible. Even the "Apple Icon" on the top left corner does not work. I click, it flashes, just IF it was ready to open, but nothing happens, seams that have something stopping the "loading process" of the softwares.
Does anybody know how to fix the problem, please?

I Tried before, but the Mac App Store was not responding either, and worse, after 5 years, There is no free phone support
I ended up solving it by reinstaling the Yosemite pressing "comand + R"

No purchase is required to install Flash Player. The offer you're seeing is optional. There should be a yellow 'Install Now' button on the bottom right of the page. Is the button not displaying? Please post a screenshot of the page (How to post a screenshot in the forum).

Activation Limit for BlueFire, OverDrive and other reader apps.

BlueFire, OverDrive and other reader apps for iPad uses Adobe ID authorization for each app. There is a limit of only six activations and each reader app counts as a new activation and if I exceed six activations I would get too many activation error. Does deauthorizing these apps credit back the activation count or only erase the activation from the device local storage? If I install both BlueFire and OverDrive I'll burn two activations. If I delete the app and then reinstall it I'll burn two more activations and if I hit the six activation limit I'll get too many activation errors. Why does each reader app count separately even on the same iPad? Why does Adobe count each separate IOS app as a separate device?

Did you try to restart the device? Reset it? Restore it?

I upgraded my 3rd gen iTouch to iOS 5.1.1 and now its speed to repond is slower and the battery goes flat quicker than before the upgrade. Skype, Sky iCloud and other apps are turned off (I think). Has anybody else suffered with this? Any ideas?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Looking at the details for this mic, it appears that the app has to have the option to use the internal specak when a mic is plugged into the headphone jack. Specifically:
NOTE: When MityMic is plugged into your iPod/iPhone you won’t be able to use the onboard speaker for sound output. You must remove the MityMic then play back your recordings. (The Skype app has an option to enable the onboard speaker even when the mic is plugged in, so you could use MityMic for placing Skype calls. However most other apps do not have this function.)
