Problem Adobe Bridge 64 bit or 32 bit and Wacom Intuos tablets on Win 7 or 8
I've recently started using the Wacom Intuos 5 tablet both at work and at home. I've enjoyed the experience for the most part, except for this one problem with Adobe Bridge. I use the 64 bit version, but even in 32 bit the problem was apparent. This problem appears in both Windows 7 and Windows 8.
The Problem
After launching Bridge, attempting to select an image seems to lock the application. You cannot select, double click, anything. If you enable your mouse, the cursor becomes active and acts as if you had held down the mouse button and were dragging over objects.
The Solution
After much searching I finally came across this link on Wacom's support site. It seems that if you have Windows Sticky Notes open, as I did on both machines, the Wacom tablet doesn't work as it should. I didn't realize that Sticky Notes allowed for pen input on the notes, which I discovered attempting to edit text on them.
Shutting down Sticky Notes does indeed fix the Wacom issue. The real question is why Bridge cares if Sticky Notes is open.I'm having the same exact issue you've described here except that I don't use windows sticky notes
Anyone know if there are other applications that cause a similar issue?
Thanks. -
Problems with Photoshop or Wacom Intuos Tablet
My new Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch tablet came today with a load of problems.
In Photoshop, the brush size is way bigger than the painted area and I have tried everything including adjusting cursor size and hardness but nothing has worked so far. I have also tried adjusting the sensitivity of the pen but it does not change anything.
In Photoshop, lines are very jagged and does not draw smoothly. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the recent drivers and old drivers but does not work.
If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Here is a screenshot showing these problems: http://imgur.com/VY9UYos (Although the outline of the brush is not showing, the painted area is WAY smaller than the size of the brush.)I think you have in Shape Dynamics the pen pressure set to Size Jitter. This causes the brush stroke to be bigger/smaller depending on the pressure.

In the Adobe Photoshop "Classroom in a Book" there was a suggestion to use a Wacom tablet. I bought one which came with Corel Painter Essentials. Big mistake. The Bamboo worked fine but Corel Elements would not load. I tried Tech support for Corel (would never respond) and Wacom since they sold the product - they offered no solution. Said they had seen the problem frequentely but that was the end of the support. both products went into the trash. the moral of the lesson, stick with Adobe!!
yes, I have about 15 sub-folders in my "Pictures" folder. When I go to get
photos when I am in the Organizer I click on a particular sub-folder and the
check mark jumps to another folder in my "Picture". Now, if I move that folder
to my Desktop I do not have that problem. But then when I move it back to my
"Picture" I have to reconnect them again.
hope this helps

Adobe Draw and Wacom Intuos Creative 2
Adobe Draw never support the Wacom Intuos 2 Creative? I would like an official response, as the Wacom has dumped blame the software house.
Thank you in advance, good day.The latest versions of Adobe Line and Adobe Sketch support Wacom. It will soon be added to Adobe Draw as well. Unfortunately, I can't give you a timeline or schedule more specific than that.
Hope that helps,

Photoshop and AI / EPS issues.
I have a logo in Photoshop thats about 5000x200px.. I go to ("File -> Export -> Render to Illustrator") .. I select "Document Bond" on the dialog that pops up and it saves to my desktop.
Usually it's about 600kbs, but when I drag it over to photoshop file to see if it works... Nothing is there? it comes in like a sharp object with the square and x so I can resize but nothing is visible? it's just white..
Now, can I fix this so my file is an AI file and its transparent and the document actually shows up when I open it in photoshop or illustrator? thanks!
also, if I do, .EPS some things don't get added to the document but somethings are there and it's never transparent?
Any help would be great thank you!
thanks!OK, Larry. I can recreate the issue. Would have been quicker with a sample file <g>.
In ID when using place, I do not get the problem. It only occurs here if I use copy and paste--something I cannot recall ever using in ID except for helping people.
The reason I asked about the PDF or a printout is I thought the issue was a stictching issue. And it is. In the PDF, the lines show but if you zoom in you will notice the lines never get wider. As well, whether printing from ID or from a PDF, the lines are not there.
The stitching lines are a result of the drop shadow on the letters. This causes a portion of the image to be a bitmap.
The top is the placed AI file in ID. Bottom is the copy & paste.
Take care, Mike -
Always having a copy and iDisk sync issue questions...
1. Let's say I have a 50 GB hard drive and I use another internal drive which is 100 GB for Time Machine. I do know that if I run out of space Time Machine deletes older back ups (if I read that correctly). Now I'm assuming that there should ALWAYS be copy of all my files contained on the main drive am I correct? And that Time Machine wouldn't necessarily delete all copies of a file to make room for new back up?
2. Can someone clarify what the issue with iDisk syncing and Time Machine is? I was reading that Time Machine was filing up the startup disk when iDisk syncing was on (whiles they had Time Machine setup on an External). I can't quite see why Time machine would fill up a disk that it isn't assigned to back up too simply because iDisk syncing is on.You should be using TM to backup to an external HD and not to your internal drive. Not sure what the 50GB drive is for - have you partitioned your internal drive?
Since you can't use TM to backup to iDisk there should be no issues with iDisk syncing and TM.
Briefly, TM backs up your complete system (less exclusions you can set) to an external HD every hour, then daily, then weekly and finally monthly. When your HD is full TM will start to delete the oldest backups to make room for more backups.

Photoshop CC brushes extremely laggy with Wacom Intuos Pro!
I've been messing around with digital painting on an iPad for a while, and just bought a Wacom Intuos Pro (medium) so I could do so on my Macs. I immediately noticed input lag from the Intuos, so started to do some testing. It doesn't appear to be the tablet. The same lag exists in Photoshop when using the Mac's trackpad, but the problem disappears entirely when I move into Corel Painter, trackpad or Intuos. Some lag exists in Illustrator, but not nearly as bad as Photoshop - Photoshop CC really seems to be the culprit.
I've uploaded a video (from my iPad; sorry for the quality) of this behavior: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwR76V-hmLU
Any thoughts? Calling Adobe first resulted in finger-pointing to Wacom (quickly squelched when I pointed out the same problem existed when using the trackpad), and then sending me a link to a 5-year-old Adobe Forum post that's for Photoshop CS4 and Wacom Intuos 4 tablets - that's 3 versions back for Photoshop and 2 versions back for the tablet. (Of course, the solutions present in that post no longer apply.) Here's the link, for anyone interested: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3709366
Any thoughts? Painter seems nice, but I'd really like to be able to do digital painting in Photoshop as well. This issue makes that quite a bit more difficult.I have an intuos 5 touch not the pro. However have user my son's intuos5 pro on my machine for his first pro had a bad touch ring and he wanted me to test his tablet.
I do not have a problem with normal brushes like you show in Photoshop. I can produce long delays using large wet mixed brushes though. However ever small mixer brushes work more like the brush stroke you show using painter painter on my windows workstation in Photoshop CC 14.2.1 current version and prior versions.
I using wacom driver 6.3.7.5 I see there is a version 6.3.7.6 I'll download a try that now.

i use win7 64bit, and i useing intuos5 with photoshop cc.
it works very good on imagesize 100%. but my tablet delayed while zoom in.
i try re unins, install photoshop, and wacom driver and even grphic driver. im useing radeon HD 7800 series. and Amd catalyst control center. it also install, uninstall many times.
but it still worng.
is there anybody can fix it or fixed alredy?
i need help.
and applogize for my fool english. If the latest version performs well with no problems, then that's obviously the one to keep. This is the one that gets updates.
Careful about uninstalling CC with CC2014 still on the system. The earlier version may take file associations with it - sometimes easily fixed, sometimes not. The safe procedure is to always uninstall in reverse version order, then reinstall the newer version you want.

Hi all. Heres hoping you can help........
I hope you can grasp the following description of the test network I have. I admit a diagram would have been better but it's hard to send a whiteboard over the web : )
I am currently in the process of designing and testing out a wireless solution and am having a few issues / queries. I have a 6509 with a Wireless Services Module (WiSM) installed in slot 3, one Cisco 1240 AP on a remote LAN and a DHCP server on a remote LAN (not the same as the AP)
I am using LAG on controller 1 with port channel 1 and native VLAN 20.
VLAN 20 is 10.1.1.0 / 24
The management interface has IP address of 10.1.1.10
The AP-manager interface has IP address of 10.1.1.11
VLAN 11 is 128.88.1.0 / 24
The service port has IP address of 128.88.1.10
The Cisco 1240 AP on the remote LAN is picking up a IP address via DHCP (from a remote DHCP server) OK and can route to both the aforementioned VLANs 20 and 11.
Issue/Question 1
I can ping the management interface locally on the 6509 and also remotely from the AP so all looks OK there however I cannot ping the AP-manager locally or remotely.
Is this expected behaviour? I would expect that if I can ping one I should be able to ping the other or is the AP-manager interface not routed and only used in some way to create the LWAPP tunnel>
Issue/Question 2
As previously stated the AP is picking up and IP address but it is not being passed the Option 43 parameter from the DHCP server (not yet ruled out the DHCP server as the cause of this). Due to this I have amended the DNS entry of the management interface (10.1.1.10) to CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER as a last resort. With a console on the AP I can see that the AP tries to join by the "%LWAPP-5-CHANGED: LWAPP changed state to JOIN" output but then get;
LWAPP_CLIENT_ERROR_DEBUG: spamHandleJoinTimer: Did not recieve the Join response
LWAPP_CLIENT_ERROR_DEBUG: No more AP manager IP addresses remain.
Is this related to the fact that I cannot see the AP-Manager interface on the network?
Issue/Question 3
I have chosen to hard code the IP address of the Service port rather than leave it to DHCP. I am more comfortable having static addresses for management. However, there is no option for a default gateway for the service port.... If I try to get round this by applying a static route via the CLI on the WiSM controller to point traffic out via 128.88.1.1 on VLAN 11 this seemingly overrides all routing on the controller and causes my management interface (10.1.1.10) to fall off the network. Is the routing table applied "en masse" to the Controller? If so this surely means that to use the Service Port you have to be on the local LAN segement?!?!
Thanks for reading my ramble and heres hoping you can shed some light on my "niggles" !Hi
I am having exactly the same problem.
Getting the same error message "No more AP manager IP addresses remain."
I'm deploying 200 AP's that will connect to 2x WiSM (4 controllers) in 2 seperate C6k Chassis
(Controller 1a & 1b = wism 1, 2a & 2b = wism 2)
I have had 1 out of the first 5 AP's physically connected, come online and register with Controller 2b (btw: this was not the master controller, it should not have registed with 2b). All others fail with the same error message as above.
I have all Management and AP-Manager interfaces in the same vlan/subnet as my AP's.
I place a console cable onto the failed APs and see the AP cycle though the motions of trying to find the controllers, download new software code from a random controller, then it reboots, gets DHCP assigned, then get the "No more AP manager ip addresses remain" and then issues a "Reload requested by LWAPP CLIENT.
Then the AP does the whole cycle all over again.
Not sure why the AP's don't register with the controllers when they are all in the same vlan.
I have a couple of extra questions.
1. what address do you bind to the dns entry cisco-lwapp-controller.localdomain, is it the management address or AP-Manager address ?
I have bound it to the Management address for WiSM 1a.
Also I have 4x controllers (2x WiSMs, 2 controllers per WiSM). Do I just bind controller 1a's address or do I have to put 4x DNS entries into my DNS server for all my controllers?
2. DHCP option 43, Do I place all 4x management ip addresses in the option or do I put in the AP-Manager Ip address?
I followed this guide but was still a little unsure http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps430/prod_technical_reference09186a00804fc3dc.html#wp125304
2. This final question is more around Dynamic Interfaces for my 4 controllers once I get the AP's resisted,
Do I have to set up a dynamic interface ip address on every controller?
e.g.
Ssid = data, VLAN=10, VLAN10=10.0.0.0/24, I will bind AP's 1-8 to VLan group 10.
Do I have to setup 1 dynamic interfaces per controller in the 10.0.0.0 subnet, taking up 4 addresses ?
And if I only have to set up 1 or 2 dynamic interface, how does this work if the controller fails?
Cheers -
I use Photoshop extensively with a Wacom Intuos 4 and Apple bluetooth keyboard, and have had no problems (as below) before.
Each time I use the tablet, the keyboard gets intermittently unresponsive, and it will only respond again after I tap the tablet pen on the tablet. And sometimes after repeatedly tapping the pen on the tablet.
It gets so frustrating as I use the keyboard to change Photogshop tools etc, and everytime it doesn't response I have to do the tapping again.
Appreciate some sharing of solutions, if any.
Thank you.I'm having the same issue and its very frustrating.
I use Photoshop and Flash heavily at work, but can't use my wacom at all anymore because:
its seems Shift gets stuck and everything becomes highlighted
shortcut keys won't work
when I drag out rectangle shapes the corners automatically become curved and eventually my rectangle becomes a circle
I will click on a keyframe and the actions panel will automatically pop up
when I try to move objects they duplicate.
More things happen but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. When I switch to a regular usb mouse the issues don't occur. I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling and the issues still occur. Its completely slowed down my productivity and is starting to hurt my wrist now :\
Nice to know that someone else has a similar problem at least. Hopefully apple or wacom will come out with a fix soon. -
Issue with Healing Brush and Wacom Tablet
I use a Wacom Intuos 4 for retouching. Photoshop CC 2014 gets stuck when I use the healing brush. I hold the Alt-key down and take a sample with the healing brush, and when I go to paint and the cross-hair gets stuck inside of the circle and the tool stops responding. After I remove the pen from the tablet I get the round spinning little balls as Photoshop is thinking and then everything works again. It's very annoying when retouching skin. It doesn't do it every time I use the tool just at random. Anyone else having this issue? I've tried many different driver versions for the Wacom and it does it no matter what version. I've also reset the tool. I've done everything but reformat the hard drive. I'm using windows 7 64bit.
I got a response from Wacom Support about this issue.
Actually this is a known issue with Photoshop CC 2014. This is a third party application. You have the current driver for windows 7 and the tablet works fine. Wacom ensures that your tablet works perfectly for any issues except third party application support. I would recommend that you tried contacting Adobe regarding this.

WACOM
Great. All I got from contacting both Adobe and Wacom support was finger pointing and acknowledgement of a problem. At this point any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. -
For some reason photoshop CC doesn't respond to the right mouse button that is on my tablet pen.
It's strange because it does work for illustrator CC, so why would photoshop CC not respond to it?
Anyhow, help please!
I have a wacom intuos pen tablet.I checked my settings and they´ve always been like this:

Wacom Intuos 5 not recognized in Photoshop CC
I recently became a subscriber to the creative cloud as well as recently getting a wacom intuos 5. The problem is, my new photoshop cc, does not show that I have a pressure sensitve tablet. Is there a new driver from adobe that I need to install? I checked the Wacom site and as far as I can tell I have the newest driver available. Also, I do have photoshop cs5.5 could these two versions of photoshop be causing a problem when it comes to the tablet?
Any help that anyone could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Adobe doesn't create drivers - Wacom creates the drivers for their tablets.
No, having 2 versions installed, or even running at the same time, doesn't make a difference. -
How do I get non anti-aliased vector rectangles in Photoshop CS5 using a Wacom Intuos 4?
Hello,
When using Photoshop CS5 to draw a vector rectangle using the Wacom Intuos 4, the rectangle comes out anti-aliased, but when I draw a rectangle using a mouse on the same machine, there is no anti-aliasing.
What can I do to get sharp, non anti-aliased vector rectangles?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank youc.pfaffenbichler, here is a screenshot of my problem:
The red square was created using a mouse and the blue square was created using my Wacom pen, which you can see the anti-aliasing on.
