Photoshop Batch Bulk Print Action Printing Out of Order

I have 900 files I need to print out. I created an action that simply prints the current document, then closes it. The problem is, photoshop is printing the files out in random order. The files are numerically ordered, it should print in order.
I go to File -> Automate -> Batch and select the printing action that I recorded and set the folder that contains the image files. The image files are all labeled numerically from the data set merge I did within photoshop.
The problem is, even though this list is in numerical order, photoshop will print these out in random order. For example, the file folder containing the image files is listed below in correct order.
Instead photoshop printed them in this order: CustomMailer_Data Set 1, CustomMailer_Data Set 10, CustomMailer_Data Set 11, CustomMailer_Data Set 12, CustomMailer_Data Set 13, CustomMailer_Data Set 14, CustomMailer_Data Set 16
Please help, I really need this bulk action to print them out in order, I have no idea what the program is doing.

Thanks for taking the time to write the script, I really appreciate it. However, I seem to be using it incorrectly since its not renaming my files.
here is what I did.
1. Launched Adobe ExtendScript & Pasted your code in
2. Saved out script file to desktop
3. Launch Photoshop, file ->script->browse to locate where script was saved to
5. Select source file containing PSDs to rename
Below shows the results.
Tried running it directly within extend script as well with no luck.

Photoshop 11 Size Print -out Problem

I have recently purchased and installed Photoshop 11 and I am having problems with my print-out. I am specifying an A5 size print, it is being shown on the preview as being 1/2 of A4 but is printing out as a 6" x 4" . I have tried thios several times but I am unable to overcome this problem. Is this a program error or can you offer me a solution for this problem?

Make sure that 'Scale to fit' is not checked in the print-dialogue box, and that the scale is set to 100% (bearing in mind that your document size must be correctly set in Photoshop before you print).

Value not populating in the print out (sales order) for the 1st time

Hi friends,
While saving a sales order, the order confirmation going to the user is not populating the LDC field. LDC is Last date of change. This field can be found in the Additonal data 2 tab of the material in the sales order. When I enter a date in this field and save, the print preview of the output has this value, but the print out does not carry this value.
Another weird thing about this issue is that, the second time i trigger the output, the print out has the value.
Please give me some clue on where to check and how to go about fixing this problem.

How to make a CD Jacket and print out Song order directly from playlist

I was wondering if there was a way to make a CD Jacket with artwork from songs selected and also how to make a same size sheet to fit in the CD holder that has the exact song order and titles by printing out directly from your playlist.
I am not sure I worded that right but hopefully you will know what I mean.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a pretty basic CD insert that you can print from iTunes, if I remember correctly it will print whatever artwork is attached to the first song in the playlist.
Open iTunes, highlight the playlist in question, go to File>Print and choose the CD Jewel Caser Insert radio button. Theres also a little Theme menu.
However you can get much more flexibility from a dedicated CD Cover program. I use Cover Star, it's inexpensive and makes good quality CD booklets, back covers and disc overlays. It will generated artwork for you or you can drag your own picture files to it. You can download a trial version from this link: http://autostylus.com/coverstar.html. It's fully functional apart from printing so you can play around with it and save the inserts until you decide if it's for you. Purchasing a license then releases the final function and anything you saved previously can be printed off.

HP8600: pages printing out of order; Win XP; MS Word

I just purchased this printer. Trying to get the duplex printing feature to work properly. I does print duplex, but the pages are out of order. Instead of pages being in numerical order as you go from front of page to back of page, then to front of next page and back of it..... it is printing page #1 on front, #3 on back, then #2 on front of next page, #4 on back.
I'm sure this is a question of settings. With any settings changes I'ved made, it prints exactly the same way every time. So I've apparently not found the right thing to change yet!

Bulk Printing of PM order operations

How do you do bulk printing of orders where you only select the operations you want. I tried IW37N, and it prints the whole order. Some of our orders have over 10 operations with long text and we don't want to print the whole orders.

Printing out of order in iphoto 11

I recently upgraded from Iphoto 8 to Iphoto 11.For my work I need to create contact sheets of up to 100 photos that would be in a specific order. I put the photos that I want to use into a folder and change the view to Maunual. This allows me to add the photos in the order that I want to see them on the contact sheet. In Iphoto 8 these photos would print in the order that I had placed them, but in I photo 11 it moves them into some default order when printing?
What is going on and how can I print them in the order that I need them?

Its might be iPhoto... But, I dont think so.
I think it is something with iTunes...
All my devices show multiple and scrambled events in iTunes under the photo tab. Both my original Apple TV's, 1st Gen iPad, and iPhone 4...
iTunes bug it seems.... I can't get it fixed.

Print Queue Jobs print out of order

It seems that jobs that have been sent to the printer queue print in an order other than the order they were submitted. It is most often evident when I print several photos from iPhoto, but I have also seen it happen from other applications.
Is it possible the queue is selecting jobs by size?
If so, How can I change the printing order so that they are printed in the order that they were submitted?

How do I do Photoshop batch (running an action) from Lightroom?

Images going up on the website get watermarked. The watermark is 3D, diagonal watermark that run across the entire image and is composed of the image content so it's just slightly visible and doesn't interfere with viewing. It gets implemented via a Photoshop action.
In Bridge, this is trivial. Just select the images, and tell Photoshop to batch process them, running the action that does the watermarking.
How do I do this in Lightroom?

I followed the above instructions and found a slightly better way.
When I made my action, I made sure to OPEN a file PS has never open before, then I ran whatever action is within my action, then I SAVED the file (which brings up the save settings dialogue), and you choose whatever settings you want and save. Then you create the droplet per the instructions above. The difference is if you use save as for your PS action, it will save another copy of the file and you will have to import the files into LR again, and you would have two set of files (one set from the original LR export, one set from the save as command from the PS action). If you just use save, it will save directly over the files LR exported, which presumable is already in your LR catelog and you wouldn't have to micro your files as much.
However, make sure you only run this over new exported files as this is destructive and saves over the exported files. Also, when you're creating your PS action with the save command, you will save over that file as well, so make sure you have another copy of that file.

Statements printing out of order

I have to possibly simple questions ....
1. I cannot print all of my customer aging statements for a group code with freezing the client and having to shutdown the client app.
2. if I print small numbers of cardcodes at a time i can get them to print. However some statements have multiple pages. you would think page one would print then page two, but that is not the case. All page ones are printing then all page twos. since not every page has a page two and there are over 800 statements per group ... this makes it very difficult to sort the pages afterwards.
so the question is
A. does any one now why it is freezing?
B. does any one know how to specify the page order?

ok I think I found something but I am not sure what it means. When I look at the currentpage() operator at the bottom of the pages it is going in order say for instance i have customers
12345
and
12343
both of whom have 2 page printouts then i would thing they would print
12345 page one then 12345 page two
then
12343 page one the 12343 page two
but what is happening
is 1234 page one then 12343 page two then 12345 page three and then 12343 page 4
so it seams that some how the groupin is wrong, for itnstance in crystal you would tell it to go to new page each time the group changes. I have no idea though how to do this in pld.

Printing is out of order

I have a new 15 in. Macbook Pro. and an ancient hp deskjet 845c printer. On my windows computer I had no problems and on the new mac my printing is a little screwy. For example I just printed off about 5 different documents in .pdf form through preview. In each the order was backwards for me. If my document had 3 pages, I would expect the order to be 1st page - or title, 2nd, and 3rd, as was lined up in the document. Instead it prints 3, 2, 1, with the title page on the bottom. I'm sure this is an easy fix, maybe I setting to be tweaked somewhere but apparently I don't know enough about it, any ideas?

That's a function of the printer driver.
1 Select the Print dialog by typing command-P or by selecting 'Print' from the File menu.
2 The Print dialog appears. If it is in 'collapsed' mode, select 'full' mode by clicking on the triangle to the right of the printer's name.
3 If the Print dialog is in 'full' mode, look for a pull-down menu with the name of the application you're running; if you're in the Finder, look for 'Finder', if you're in Safari, look for 'Safari', etc.
4 Pull down the menu and look for 'Paper Handling'. Select that. The Print dialog should change.
5 Depending on which printer you use, there should be two or three new pull-down menus at the bottom of the Print dialog. Look for one which says 'Page Order' or similar; the exact wording will vary depending on which printer you are using. There should be two or three options. Select 'Reverse Order' or wording similar.
6 Print. The pages should appear in the order you wish. If they don't, try one of the other options.
Note that typically the printer driver will try to print pages so that when you pick up the printed document, page 1 is uppermost. Some printers print with the output coming out face up; they would usually print the last page first and the first page last, in the order 5-4-3-2-1. Some printers print with the output coming out face down; they normally print with the first page first and the last page last, in the order 1-2-3-4-5.
Depending on the printer there may be other options, including printing out of order, printing just some pages, printing in booklet order, and printing upside down.
Note that your printer is an older one, and printer drivers supplied from HP may be minimal; you may get better drivers from the HPIJS Project <http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/hpij s%23Printers> or GutenPrint <http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php>. Both 3rd-party sources support the DJ845.

PROBLEM P.O PRINT OUT T-CODE-ME9F

I have a p.o having lot of items. when i want to print out the order item in pre printed sheet of p.o by using T-CODE ME9F.For this order item when we print it it is taking 10 pages because the item number is more. we want to print only last two pages i.e- 9 & 10. WHERE CAN WE MAKE SETTING SO THAT AS PER OUR REQUIREMENT WE WILL PRINT OUR DOCUMENT. I am not getting the solution WHEN i give the print it is taking all the 10 pages. pl. solve the problem.

You have the solution in ME9F itself.
When you execute your document number, you will find a push button <b>"output message"</b>. When you pres this, a dialogue box opens where you have the option of printing the required page.
If you want to print page 9 and 10, your input in the required field will be <b>9,10</b>
Please try this and revert.

Contacts does not print out in alphabetical order

Has something happened to printing lists from Contacts? Don't know if it is Contacts or Mountain Lion.
I have not printed a listin in ML before, but in former versions, an alphabetical listing was generated in alpha order. Now printing a list gives the names out of alpha order. This is the case of a group or All Contacts. This is not just my machine, but another computer in the house running the lastest software.
I find nothing in the printing details to select alpha order. The Contacts is set up to view in last name-first name order.
I also checked all boxes in atributes to see if there was a strange happening there, but the sorted order is identical. It is not sorting by first name either.
Contact preferences is at show first name before last name andsort by last name. I have changed those parameters and there is no effect of the order of names in printing.
Pocket address book prints in alpha order. Mailing labels prints out of order and left off some of the first of the listing. Listing all contacts is also out of order.

Ocalamarilyn ....You are a genius!!!!! Finally I was able to print the complete contact's book alphabetically.... I've been trying to figure that one out since I installed Mountain Lion!!!!........ of course you can only print a list this way but it doesn't matter with lables or envelopes cause they don't have to be in any sort of order. You don't get a chance to select the items you want to show but who cares for now. thank you, thank you thank you..... I hope everyone who has written to this feed sees your reply..... Can not print out good quality pictures in Photoshop CS4...

I can not print out good quality photos from my printer. Photos are dark and colors are not good either. I have Windows XP, Photoshop CS4 and printer Epson R800 . I have been trying to find out what are the right settings on the computer, printer and in the software and spent hours on the computer not able to sort out this.
