Photoshop button - fitting to frame?

Hello,
I imported my photoshop button and assigned a frame to the whole thing with 2 rounded corners.  It looks great in design but in preview there is a transparent line surrounding the photos.  I cannot right click on the picture in design mode to 'Fill frame proportionally' as I would do with a picture.  How do I get rid of this line?  I have played with the stroke being outside, inside and centered.  Adjusted the frame size and even tried the cropping tool.
Thank you!

Photoshop buttons are just like a rectangles with different layers set up as different states. So I would suggest you to click on the button select the state and then change the fitting accordingly and let me know if that helps.

  • Bug in a photoshop button scale

    When you place an image, then select the area you can view hidden and pressing "cmd-apple" and stretching from one of the 4 sides, not corners. But when placing a photoshop botton does not work. I think you should be able to function like images.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    When you place an Image, the Image frame is created containing the image. So within the Image frame you can drag the image. In the case of a photoshop button different states are inserted as fill styles which cannot be dragged as it is set as the background image for the rectangle and shape changes on changing the rectangle shape itself.
    For an image you cannot have the different rollover states. Rectangle uses different fills for different states that are used.

  • Photoshop Button Abilities

    I am trying to create a photoshop button that is non rectangular. This is what im trying to create, where when you scroll other each circle the second state shows.
    How do I make this? I have tried using a Photoshop button but they have to be rectangular and that blocks the other circles buttons. Is there some sort of way to group a PS button with a Muse text button? If there isnt this would be an AMAZING NEW FEATURE to have!! I have run into this problem many many times and it would make Muse a lot better.

    You can use state button where the image can be used with text within same frame.
    Thanks,

  • How do I import a Photoshop button (including it's different states) into the muse menu widget?

    I had the idea of using the "place Photoshop button" option to configure the states in my horizontal menu bar in Muse.  I started out trying to use the widget, after playing with the options it seems I can either load each individual state one at a time in manual mode or I can try to make a menu bar from the buttons and manually place the respective links.  I would be grateful for a suggestion or alternative method that is as easy as the "place Photoshop button" option, I love that feature.  Thanks in advance.

    UPDATE:  I found that I could use Fill image then in import fill options, import layer + clip layer contents for each of the states.  It was working very well but I noticed an error in one of my buttons states so I had to go back to Photoshop.  When I returned to start this process again and I clicked import layer, the states are all flat plain text without any of the blending options I had set for each state. The odd part is that I can see all the layers in composite, but it will not let me place each layer as it did before.
    After several frustrating hours going through every step I edited and even trying to load the buttons I thought were exactly the same file I used before I could not find what I had done differently to cause this.  I did successfully place each Photoshop button in empty space and the cut and paste them into the menu. Which is way easier then the original method.  I would like to know if anyone has an idea what went wrong for the sake of knowledge.  Also thought that this cut paste method might help others trying to build menu buttons outside of Muse.

    I'm afraid Photoshop is a graphics program ill suited for generating good HTML and CSS code.  Use Photoshop to create your images only. Use DW to build your HTML, CSS and menus.

  • How can I scale just one dimension of a pic? I need to shrink the width only, to fit the frame.

    HELP!  How can I shink only one dimension?  I need to shrink the width slightly to fit the frame; the program only allows scaling that is proportional, so when I shrink the width the heigh becomes too short.  Father Mike

    I'd recommend using the rectangular marquee and the crop command. This will crop the image to an exact size without any resampling or distortion. Cropping without constraint can cause distortion...like giving someone a cone head.
    Check the size of the image first by either looking in the Image<Resize<Image Size. Make a notation of the height since you don't want to change that in this case. (While you are there, change the resolution to the desired output...make notation of height after this step if you changed the resolution.)
    Select the Rectangular Marquee tool. Change the setting in the options bar to "Fixed Size" and input the desired size. (Along with the numbers, specify in this box in what units you desire...px, in, etc.
    Drag the marquee to the desired location. (As long as the marquee tool is selected, this selection box can be moved around).
    Go up to the menu bar and select Edit<Crop.

  • Loss of "Edit in Photoshop" button functionality with Photoshop CC

    First, I must say I am highly dissapponted in Adobe's decision to stop developing Encore. I know that streaming and cloud access to video projects is the fture, but DVD and BluRay is still the standard for a majority. I film events, weddings, training sessions, etc. and am still asked to provide a hard copy of the product.
    I downloaded Photoshop CC and have now lost the "Edit in Photoshop" button functionality. This was an extremely convenient feature allowing editors to modify and enhance DVD and BluRay menus easily in Photoshop given the limited options for editing in Encore itself. Unforutnately, I deleted Photoshop CS6 before checking this. I just assumed that Adobe would have kept this function.
    How can I fix this? If I need to re-download Photoshop CS6, will you provide a link to do so?
    Finally, is Adobe really sticking to its guns with not continuing Encore? It is one of the best authoring tools I have worked with for its price and its a shame to see it go.

    >will you provide a link to do so?
    While there are a "few" Adobe employees who read/post (mostly in the Premiere Pro forum) this is primarily a user to user form... so the best I can offer is the IDEA to look on the Cloud to see if there is a link to download Photoshop CS6
    The only actual CS6 link I have is to purchase the standalone (not cloud) products http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/cs6._sl_id-contentfilter_sl_catalog_sl_software_sl_c reativesuite6.html?promoid=KFPMZ but that would mean buying outside of the cloud
    You might want to contact Adobe to ask about this - http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

  • Photoshop Button in Active State Returns to Normal After Rollover?

    Hello,
    I'm working on a glossary reference website in Muse, and have hit a roadblock with my photoshop buttons.
    I have created menu buttons in Photoshop that have two different states - one for active and rollover, and another for normal and down (the button is actually saved with four different layers/states, one for each, but for what the user will see, it's really only two options). I've used these menu buttons as rollover triggers for blank compositions, and when the user rolls over the button, the name of the page appears below it, and then disappears on rollout (otherwise the names would overlap and it would look very cluttered).
    The issue that I have found is that, when I preview the page in my browser, the buttons appear to function properly in that they show up in the active state indicating that the page that they are linked to is the one that they are on.
    Initial View - Home Page:
    ...and when I rollover the image of the page that I am currently on, the button shows the name of the page as desired, like so:
    However, when I rollout, the button reverts back to the normal/down state, even though I am still on the home page.
    Below is a screenshot of the composition settings that I have set up for this widget. I tried switching the "Hide Target" to none, but since the target is referring to the word "Home", the word "Home" remained visible in addition to the button remaining in the active state, which is not what I want. I also tried selecting "Triggers on Top", but the issue was not solved here either.
    What am I missing? How can I make sure that my button remains in the active state when on the page that it is linked to?
    Thanks for your help!
    Rachel

    Sounds like a bug that's the fallout of the overloaded meaning of "Active" state. "Active" is both the state used for an item with a hyperlink applied that points to the current page (or an anchor point in the current scroll range on the current page) and the state used for a trigger or thumbnail in a Composition or Slideshow widget that corresponds to the a current active item in the composition or slideshow.
    It appears we honor the hyperlink definition of "Active" on page load for a composition trigger with a hyperlink to the current page applied, but don't honor that definition of active when transition to having no items in the composition active (or presumable when transition to having a different item in the composition active).
    The only workaround that comes to mind would be the very tedious approach of replicating this composition widget on each page, removing the hyperlink on the "active" trigger and manually formatting it's "Normal" state to appear active.
    I've written up the bug. However, it may not get fixed immediately. (We tend to collect smaller fixes in an area and then address them all at once or when other changes are planned in that area, due to the overhead involved in ramping up to work on an area and thoroughly retest it after changes.)

  • Trouble with "Place Photoshop button".  It is not importing or "placing" my PSD file.

    So I have a triple layer PSD file of a custom facebook icon that I am trying to "place" into Muse.  (PSD file includes transparent backgound, layer 1 image, and layer 2 image).  When I go to the "Place Photoshop button" and select my PSD file containing this and click "ok", the dialog option box does pop up however without my images or file.  Am I doing something wrong?

    Hello SDM,
    Are you getting this option after you select the .psd file ?

  • Alt Text on Photoshop Button

    Hi guys,
    Does anyone know if there a work around / cheat that allows you to set 'Alt Text' on a placed Photoshop Button in Muse?
    Thanks heaps,
    Cari
    twitter.com/carijansen

    That won't work I'm afraid, the Alternative Text needs to be associated with the placed Photoshop button object itself for accessibility purposes.
    E.g. for images you can add Alt Text quite easily by editing the Image Properties in Muse. However for a Placed Photoshop Button, these properties don't seem to be available. So I'm looking for a work-around (other than having to do this manually).
    If I check the generated HTML for a page containing a Photoshop Button, I can see:
    <div class="preload_images">
    <img class="preload" alt="" src="images/photoshopbutton-u614-r-fr.jpg"></img>
    <img class="preload" alt="" src="images/photoshopbutton-u614-m-fr.jpg"></img>
    </div>
    and there is an empty 'alt' attribute in the img-element. However, I don't see how within Muse you can populate this alt attribute

  • Close ADF Popup Dialog with html button in Inline Frame

    hi,
    I'm using jdev 11.1.1.2,
    I have a adf popup dialog which contains an Inline Frame(source is a jsp file).I want to close the dialog with a html submit button in the frame page. when the submit button is clicked, auto close the dialog.
    can anyone help in this.
    Thanks

    Try to close the popup from Javascript using a sciptlet similar to the following one:
    var popup = AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent('<yourPopupClientId>');
    if (popup.isPopupVisible()) {
      popup.hide();
    }where <tt><yourPopupClientId></tt> should be replaced with the popup's client ID. The client ID is composed of the popup's ID from the <af:popup> tag preceded with IDs of the eventual parent naming containers where the popup has been declared.
    For example, if the tag is <tt><af:popup id="myPopup"></tt>, then the clientId might be:
    <tt>  myPopup
      container1:myPopup
      container1:container2:myPopup</tt>
    ... and so on, depending on where you have defined the popup in your JSF page (i.e. within which naming containers), you should determine it first.

  • Can a Photoshop button be used as a Lightbox trigger?

    I've brought in a layered PSD file as a button with different states, but instead of the button linking to another page or similar, I'd like it to trigger a lightbox image that triggers a different hero image. Or, thinking about it in another way, can a lightbox thumbnail be replaced with not only a different image than the hero, but also has normal, rollover and down states?
    Is this possible?

    Hello,
    You can achieve this by using the Lighbox widget under "Compositions" option in widget.
    First indert the Lighbox widget (from Compositions catagory in Widgets)
    To insert the Photoshop button, Go to File>Place Photoshot button.
    Select the PSD file and place it on the page.
    Now click on the Photoshop button on the page and drag and drop it inside the Trigger of the Widget (Make sure the mouse pointer is inside the trigger and then release the mouse click to make sure it gets placed inside the trigger).
    And you can add a different image/content for target container as well.
    One quick tip : Click on "Hide all initially" option in Lightox widget properties (Which comes up when you click on small white arrow in blue circle when any Widget item is selected) to make sure all the states/layers of the button works.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sachin

  • HELP: Photoshop Button Hover Rollover State Flickers (jumps) Upon First Preview

    All photoshop buttons flicker (jump abruptly) before the rollover state is displayed in preview mode and in browser for the 1st time. After that the behavior is normal. The rollover and hover image displays without a flicker. Why all the graphics not preloaded to prevent this mega-annoying issue? Is there a work around?
    I tried INSERT HTML option as an alternative to photoshop buttons using the following code, since it works flawlessly on other web building programs,  but it doesn't even work in Adobe Muse. I am stock and don't know how to work around this issue.
    <a href='Destination URL' target="_top" onmouseover="document.sub_but.src='http://yourdomain.com/onroll.jpg'" onmouseout="document.sub_but.src='http://yourdomain.com/normal.jpg'">
    <img src="http://yourdomain.com/normal.jpg" width="281" height="55" border="0" alt="Move your mouse over me" name="sub_but">
    </a>
    I love the convenience of photoshop button but the results are truely unprofessional on first loading. Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

    Do you have a URL to a site using Photoshop buttons placed in Muse? My guess is that the images are very large and taking some time to load initially.

    The buttons that I placed in the Muse file as Photoshop buttons aren't appearing once I put the code on Wordpress. The image links aren't broken (the broken image link icons aren't there) and the cursor still senses the buttons. It's like the buttons are invisible. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
