Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7-Update Installation failes.
System information:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 12.0.4 (12.0.4x20110407 [20110407.r.1265 2011/04/07:02:00:00 cutoff; r branch]) x32
Operating system: Windows XP 32-Bit
Version: 5.1 Service Pack 3
Regional setting = de
Camera Raw 6.7.1
Adobe Support Advisor (V1.6.1.20120504) is not able to locate the problem.
How can I successfully install the Camera Update?

When I open PS5, I get this message "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit." I can't uninstall to reinstall also. At present I can't use my PS5.

Look for /Applications/Adobe
If it is a FILE instead of a folder then delete it.

The reason i ask, even though you wrote cs6, is the camera raw 6.7 update is for photoshop cs5.
Did you try Help>Updates from within photoshop to get the most recent version of camera raw, which is 8.7 for photoshop cs6? -

You need to buy PSE13. But you can continue with PSE9 if you download and install the free DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will work with yoir existing software(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

Trying to update Photoshop 5 Camera Raw. Get message installation failed. No other information. Please advise. Running Windows 7 64 bit on Dell Precision m4500. 8G 500G. Is there an alternative way to update the camera profiles in ACR. I am trying to add a Nikon D750 and Canon Powershot G15.
you can update ps cs5 manually:, http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
but you can only update to cr 6.7 and that camera needs 8.7 or better.
your options are to upgrade your ps or use the dng converter, Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 8.7 -
Photoshop Camera Raw 6.5 Update fails...
The Adobe Updater has advised me that Photoshop Camera Raw 6.5 Update is available, but the update fails. The Adobe Support Advisor (ASA) acknowledges an issue, but 'cannot determine the cause or corrective action'. There is no Error number given, just advice to contact Customer Support via . As I am outside the U.S. my only Support options are these Forums. I can only hope that Adobe Support personnel monitor the Forums!
After submitting this post I came across a submit a 'Package for Support', which generated the following Reference number: 00-02208-073525012012. Not sure if this helps!Download Camera Raw 6.6 and DNG Converter from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
Install DNG Converter. You don't need it but it will also install Camera Profiles for new cameras.
Then, you can extract the Camera Raw plug-in from the download and install it manually. Here's something I wrote on this for an older version for Windows...
Unzipped the file and found two relevant folders in 'payloads':
AdobeCameraRaw6.0All-210510124504 contained the 32-bit plug-in
AdobeCameraRaw6.0All-x64-210510130426 contained the 64-bit plug-in
Within these folders was a filed called Assets2_1.zip
Unzipped the appropriate files and extracted a single file called 1003 or 1002
Renamed the file to 'Camera Raw.8bi'
Backed-up the old plug-ins by renaming and inserting a tilde (~) at the start
Copied the 6.1 version into the same folder:
(64-bit) Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-ins\File Formats\
and/or
(32-bit) Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-ins\File Formats\
I know, it's a bit techy, but there isn't an official way of doing this that I know of. -

I have a problum. I'm showing a photoshop camera raw 6.7 update and it will not install. I have tried to download the update direct but when I download it my OS dont know what to use to install it. Can someone advise as I am using Windows 7 64bit and Design Premium CS5

For PSE 9, the update process was best using a manual method.
Are you trying to do Help - Updates?

I've tried to install the new update for Adobe Photoshop CS6. The 13.0.6 update, on my OS X 10.8 and it doen´t finish the installation...

Update to Photoshop Camera Raw 6.6 fails ... update downloads and prompts for instal ... then simply reports that it fails.
What version of the Adobe Application Manager are you using? Have you tried applying the update directly from the product update page? Finally what operating system are you using?
