Photoshop CC 14.1 GPU not detected (MacOS)
So I upgraded to Photoshop CC 14.1 Mid 2009 Macbook, 10.8.4 6GB ram/NVDIA 9400M GPU 236 MB ram.
When I launch PS by itself, my GPU is detected. If I double click on a file, there is a delay in opening and I get this message:
All my OpenGL functions are disabled. So now what can be done to get my GPU working as it did in 14.0?
I'll guess I'm out of luck since NVDIA doesn't issue updated drivers for my GPU.
Just tell me what logfiles you need and how I can get them for you. I'm thinking maybe 14.1 is too much for this system and I'll have to dial back if this is not a bug.

No problem here, Trevor.
I'm running Photoshop 12.1 on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, ATI Radeon HD 7850 with Catalyst 13.4 driver set and so far it's problem-free.

Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 not detecting my dedicated GPU
When I open Photoshop, I get the following error message:
"3D features require a minimum of 512MB of vRAM. Photoshop has detected less than that on your system.
Updating the driver of your graphics card may resolve the issue."
I am running a laptop PC with an integrated graphics card (Intel HD4600) and a dedicated Nvidia GTX 675M with 2 GB of vRAM.
I switch between the two adapters with the press of a single button, for power-saving purposes.
I always run at high-performance with the dedicated GPU active when running Photoshop.
I run the latest driver from Nvidia, and in the Nvidia control panel I manually set the preferences for Photoshop to utilize the dedicated GPU. But it still does not detect my main graphics adapter.
I checked the system information in Photoshop and cannot make sense of it. Why would it be unable to detect the GPU when every GPU demanding software I have run so far (a lot) have been able to..
I have checked google and the very forums and found the problem in various forms with no real solution for it so far. Hopefully someone on these forums can help, considering I am paying a monthly fee for the program and the support that comes with it
First part of System Information in case it can be useful:

No GPU information availableThanks for the quick response!
But as mentioned in my initial post, I deactivate the integrated graphics adapter when using Photoshop, or any software that demands decent graphical processing power.
I only have it activated when in power-saving mode. And of course I update to the newest display drivers via the GeForce Experience or through their website.
Point is, I have never had any problems with any software whatsoever in detecting the proper GPU and utilizing it's power. The only software unable to register my dedicated video card is Photoshop. -
Photoshop CS5 64-bit does not detect Video Card
I just updated from CS4 to CS5. I have a core i7 with an ATI HD 5700 series graphics card with the most recent driver 10.9. Photoshop is also updated to 12.0.1. For some reason, only the 64-bit version does not detect the graphics card. Photoshop CS4 64-bit and Photoshop CS5 32-bit see the graphics card fine. I noticed a few others have had the same issues. Has this problem been addressed yet? If not, is there a workaround?
It's a recently-reported issue with Catalyst 10.9 on the Radeon 57xx.

i have installed a NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 but the GPU is NOT Detected in After Effects cs6,please help
That is not a GPU that After Effects CS6 will use for the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer, but it will still be used for the OpenGL GPU features.

That card was not tested with After Effects CS6 (11.0). That card didn't even exist when After Effects CS6 (11.0) was being developed and tested.

Scanner not detected in photoshop
scanner not detected in photoshop
I just posted a question dealing with PS CS not seeing the scanner. Here's what I posted:
Unable to see scanner using PhotoShop CS for Import
Nov 30, 2013 10:36 PMTags (edit): #mac_os_10.6.8 # #scanner_problem #drivers?
Epson Perfection 48970 Scanner worked perfectly with iMac using MAC OS 10.6.8 and Photoshop CS. But that iMac was traded in for a new iMac, and now using MAC OS 10.8.5. PS CS is now inoperative for the upgraded operating system. Now working with Macbook Pro, MAC OS 10.6.8, and scanner works perfectly with the laptop, but NOT with Photoshop CS. The Epson doesn't show in the import mode, but the HP Officejet Pro 8500 does, which is a poor scanner at best. I have looked for the answer to this problem, but unable to solve the problem. I don't want to buy an upgrade version of Photoshop CS; I just want to covert some 35mm slides to paper photos, etc.

Windows 7 Not Detecting Nvidia Card. Gt70 670MX GPU.
So I downgraded from windows 8 to windows 7 and have recently discovered my computer is using the Intel HD 4000 instead of the correct Nvidia 670MX. When I disable the Intel Hd the system restarts and displays stuff but the nvidia program says it can not detect an nvidia gpu. When I re enable, the nvidia driver detects the gpu but does not use it (directx diag shows the intel hd 4000). Any help would be greatly appreciated because I would hate to have to reformat back to windows 8.
Dxdiag will not use the NVidia card. Ignore it, as it's stupid to rely on it for anything.
You can't use the NVidia card 100% of the time. You need to use the Intel HD4000 when you're not gaming, as that's what it's meant for with Optimus.
Sometimes you need to make sure that it is switching to the NVidia card when you need it for a game or for whatever it is you're doing that you need it. This usually involves making a custom profile within the NVidia control panel. I have not played a game yet where I did NOT have to add it. I'd add it anyway, just to be sure that it's working correctly. Once you add the game, and tell it to use the NVidia high performance adapter (instead of the Intel integrated adapter), it should work just fine and hopefully increase your FPS. -
Z77A-GD65 not detecting second 7950 GPU
Hi all,
Here are my specs, to start with:
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65
Processor: Intel i5-3570k
Memory: 2x 4GB GeIL Black Dragon DDR3 PC3-12800C11
SSD: Samsung 830 256GB
GPU 1: HIS 7950 Boost Edition 3GB, in the top 16x PCIe slot
GPU 2: VTX3D 7950 3GB, in the second 16x PCIe slot, via a powered PCIe 16x riser card
PSU: OCZ ZS 750W
Monitors: 1x BenQ G2420HDBL 1920x1080, 2x Dell 20" 1680x1050
USB devices: Razer Tarantula keyboard, Logitech MX Revolution mouse, Blue Snowball ICE microphone
Since installing the second graphics card, I have been having issues with the system booting, getting as far as 15 on the LED output, before restarting, and repeating over and over, on BIOS A91. I found that if I had none of my monitors turned on, then the system would more reliably boot.
Today, I have updated my BIOS to the AC3 release. This appears to have resolved the reboot loop, I can have all my monitors switched on now - however, it is now not detecting my 2nd graphics card at all!
I have the system fully water cooled, so removing/swapping cards around is going to be very difficult - due to my loop design, I am using the powered 16x riser card.
However, before this is pointed at as being the problem, I was having the reboot loop issue with the previous BIOS when I had the card plugged in directly to the motherboard prior to fitting the water cooling to this second card! The powered riser made no difference, either good or bad.
Any thoughts or suggestions on any settings that I may have missed anywhere after updating the BIOS that would have the effect of disabling my second 7950?Quote
would I be right in remembering that there is some setting, somewhere (which I've not found yet) that specifies something about the PCIe slots and which ones are active, ie disabling the 1x slots and giving the PCIe lanes to the 16x slot
There is no setting. The slots are automatically switched depending on the population. If the primary slot is the only physical x16 slots populated it is X16/x0/x0. If the 2nd slot or both is/are populated it is (x8/x8/x0). If the 3rd or all slots is/are populated it is x8/x4/x4. -
3x GPU Cards on 990FXA-GD80. Third card not detected in OS.
I have three Sapphire Radeon 7950 plugged into each 16x PCIe slot. The third card is not detected by the OS in any way. The two other cards are detected just fine.
What can I do? All items are brand new. I have not used the CrossFireX cable, since I won't be using the cards together, but for individual folding.
Thanks for any helpok so one of 4 things is happening here!
1: you could have a power issue on the board and the 3rd slot is not getting enougth power through the PCI_E slot to use the card (suggestion you remove the Middle Card and see if the 3rd slot comes Online?)
2: your PSU could be too weak to power the card (what PSU do you have? as i would suggest that you need a single +12v rail with 60A and a 750W minimum Rating overall)
3: possible defective Card (have you tried it in one of the other slots to see if its visible there?)
4: your CPU has a issue and is limiting the lanes as AMD GPU's like at least 8 Lanes Available (slim possibility but it should have enougth lanes to use all 3 cards)
i would suggest you run the 3 checks i have suggested in the () above and see what happens! also try to make sure the 3rd card is seated properly as it may look right but may not be connecting to the PCI_E slot Correctly! -

I have a Toshiba Satellite A210-128 laptop with vista separately on DVD, but it seems that the dvd is damaged and I can not use it any more.
I have installed on my laptop a brand new Vista from the original DVD that Im using it on my desktop, but the problem is that vista can not detect my graphic card hd2600.
So Im stuck...... I tried to install the ati driver from the Toshiba update site but I get a error because ccc can not detect a graphic card ?????/
What to do????
It is something special with the DVD that i have from Toshiba ?????
Thank you very much.Hi

The whole issue is really mysterious. In my opinion there are two options;
Either your have used and tried to install a wrong graphic driver or there is something wrong with your GPU chip.
Are you 100% that you tired an right graphic driver from the Toshiba European driver page?
If yes, then I recommend contacting the ASP in your country because this could be really an hardware issue.
Furthermore I found you second posting in other thread

and I think more and more that this must be an graphic card issue. -
NEED HELP, old hard disk failed, new hard disk not detected.
My hard disk died, not working, not detected when I restart with the MacOS X DVD and attempt to reinstall.
I have bought a new hard drive, 160 GB ATA - IDE Samsung drive, and carefully replaced it following service manual instructions. All connectors have been carfully but firmly reconnected, and the new hard disk is not detected.
What can i do?? where is the problem??
Thank you very much for your help.Do you know that the new hard drive is working? As it's new chances are it is, just asking .... do you know it's powering up? If you replug the old not working hard drive in, is it recognized? (this is where you don't put the computer back together, but just replace the hard drive and sort of close it back up, but don't use any bolts close the case). Plus you can feel or clearly hear if the drive is starting up or not.

*SOLVED* Device not detected/ No driver installed for X-FI Fatal
OK!!!! the only reason I signed up here was to post that I have (for me) solved my problem.
Before I get into details this occurred on a fresh system with latest drivers for hardware used.
The problem was installing my X-Fi card on my 680i m/b (striker extreme).. when I would install the driver it would simply crash the computer and when it started up the hardware was not detected to used the software and the device manager said no driver installed.. I tried everything.. I installed the driver in safe mode (yay it worked without crashing) then I booted for windows only to have it blue screen for a second and restart... repeating the cycle.. so i reinstalled windows again... I tried installing the driver different ways in windows.. nothing worked... I gave up...
BUT!!!
today while i was at work I decided I would try one last thing.
this is what got it going. I have SLI 8800ultras that covered the PCI slot on the bottom of my board and I though I would try the card in this slot to see if it worked there... so I disabled SLI took out my bottom card put in the sound card in the bottom slot, installed the driver... It installed 00% no crash... even better it worked after the restart!!!... so then I had to test if it worked in the top slot so I powered down, moved it up to my top PCI slot and windows auto set the driver for it (as it was already installed) It worked in the top slot now... Finally I put in the second 8800 to make sure it worked with this slot in use... It still worked fine with SLI enabled. because I was unhappy with the mess I made installing drivers all the time as I did with the many crashes I decided to do a fresh install of windows making this card work from the start so here is what you need to do if you have a 680i board with SLI. this is exactly what i did with my fresh install.
install only one GPU card..
Put the X-FI in a different slot that isn't giving you problems
Install windows
Install service pack 2
install your chipset drivers
install sound card drivers
power down, change sound card to permanent slot
test - power down
put in the second GPU card
install GPU drivers
Good luck you all having this problem.. I hope my solution helps you.
BryanI think I?got a similar?problem earlier today when I was messing around with?onboard audio?that I later removed and after unplugging a?USB headset.
Have you checked the device manager, is there any higlighted hardware that has a exclamation mark next to it.
I fixed the issue by simply uninstalling the WDM device with the exclamation mark and restarted.
