Photoshop cc 2014 and lightroom doesn't work
Hi,
I need your help.
Installed Photoshop and Lightroom as trial today.
Since 5 hrs I try to make them work and I am close of loosing my patience.
I have a laptop, windows 7, 64 bit.
Updated all the drivers.
Installed and deinstalled the products couple times.
Signed in and out of the cloud. And still having the same problem:
PS starts up normal and after few seconds just closes.
No error message. Then the message if I still want to use my trial pops up.
Lightroom doesn't start at all. After few seconds the trial message showes up.
What can I do?
I need the PS for my work.
Checked the crash reports and fixed the driver.
Also checked the aministrativ status.
Checked also numerous help from other users with the same issue and also YouTube.
Still having the problem.
Thank you for your help.
None of my "Edit In" worked with the pictures in Lightroom for a particular folder. I expanded the 2014 folder and found that two subfolders had a "?" in front of the 2014-07-04" and another. In other words, the folder was missing. After I found the missing folders using the Lightroom "Find Missing Folder" option, I was able to use the "Edit In" menu item. The 2014 folders weren't expanded at first, so I didn't see the ? marks in front of them. With the missing folders, Lightroom's "Edit In" option was basically telling me there was no picture to "Edit In." Howerver, I have Previews and Smart Previews made when I import picture files into Lightroom. So, the "pictures" showed in the slide strip on the bottom, and also in the display in "expand," but it was actually only showing the previews I had built, not the actual missing pictures in the missing folders. I had accidentally moved some directories using Windows Explorer, and I didn't realize my "happy fingers" moved them outside of Lightroom. Of course, Lightroom has no way of knowing I moved them, and just shows the "?" before the missing folder name. After expanding the root folder, then knew what to do. Fixed it easily. It was frustrating, and took about 20 minutes to see the problem. And that fixed the greyed-out "Edit In" Photoshop CC 2014, and all the other plug-ins were greyed out too.
Hope this fixes your problem.
Mike

Hi. I have set up the trial versions of Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom 5.6 (ie the Photography plan) on a desktop that I have added a new drive to with Windows 7. Everything works fine BUT it is an old computer and I'm thinking that it may pack up unexpectedly. These things happen. I want to sign up for the Photography plan but I also have a Windows Vista laptop, and that is old too so I may want to put the apps on a new desktop and a new laptop, having already installed on my desktop. That makes three activations. Am I allowed to do this? Cheers. Paul
You cannot have three activations. It's simply not technically possible. If and when the time comes, you simply deactivate/ sign out on one of the old systems and install on the new one. If the system goes belly up, you contact support to reset your account. No need to make it more complicated than that and overthink it.

After nearly 2 GB of download, both the applications got installed. Now following are the issues I am facing.
Once Photoshop CC 2014 is launched, it loads and after few seconds, it closes.
I try to load LightRoom 5.5 and nothing happens.
Following are the diagnostics on my side.
Logged out from Creative Cloud and logged in again. -> Same effect
Logged out from Creative Cloud, Uninstalled the apps, Logged in into the Creative Cloud App, Installed the apps - > Same effect and wasted another 2GB of bandwidth.
Uninstalled again, During trying to re-install, copied the installers from the %temp% folders for both the app, Installed using standalone installer. -> Photoshop CC 2014 = same effect, LightRoom 5.5 = asking for serial !! Strange !!

hallo,
where can we ask questions on photoshop cc 2014 tools ?
i have a prophoto nef in lightroom which is retouched.
i edit in photoshop cc to make a selection and come back to lightroom with a huge psd.
it says color space of photoshop is not correct and advises prophoto. i say yes.
first one day i lost the pen tool mask when i wanted to re-edit from lightroom. fortunately the version of psd on hard disk was ok. never understood what happened
second is i want to open a jpg background on my hard disk, perhaps srgb, in photoshop and add the selection.
how to manage color spaces because my colors of the selection or the background become ugly
not sure i still need to use lightroom for this step. bridge or photoshop itselfs can open files,...
best regards
marcThat's great, but what exactly did it - matrix (gamma) profiles instead of LUT? It would be good to know for future reference.
I have seen small problems with LUT profiles in Firefox, like black clipping up to value 6 or 7, but Lightroom seems to behave well with LUT profiles here. The problem with LUT profiles is that they are "heavier" and more complex, because they contain complete tables for all possible transformations - whereas matrix profiles do it by much simpler mathematical formulae. LUT is more accurate, but matrix simpler and more reliable.
Not that I think accuracy is a problem with Eizo CGs. Which is why it's a bit puzzling that ColorNavigator has LUT as default. I use mostly matrix targets these days, my feeling is that the simpler the profile, the better. -
Photoshop CC 2014 Paint bucket doesn't work
I am just trying to fill a layer with the foreground color using the paint bucket. I have the layer set to Normal 100% opacity and the paint bucket set to foreground 100% opacity, Normal mode. But I get zero. No color at all. The layers panel does show the color, just not the screen.
Also--no color in the paint brushes and no pattern fill. Basically nothing paints on that layer.
If I unlock the background layer and make it editable, I can use the paint bucket and brushes on that layer, no problem. But not on any layers above that.
If I drag the background layer up to make it the top layer, I can paint on it one time. If I change color, change tools, or start another layer. the bucket, brushes, etc. cease to work on that layer. The only way to paint on a layer is to drag it down to make the bottom layer on the stack and paint on it there.
For my purposes, this makes CC 2014 absolutely maddening, close to useless. Help!!! I have been using PS for years and never had this problem til 2014.
PS CC 2014, Win7 64 Wacom Intuos. Art pen. "Use windows ink" checked.Chris, Thank you soooooo much. I would never in a million years have guessed this was the problem. As it was, it took a few hours to find the drivers, install them and recalibrate my monitor. The bucket and brushes are behaving as they should on all layers. Saved so much time, missed deadlines. You have no idea.

Photoshop CC 2014 and HTML5 Extensions/Panels
I first asked about getting Adobe Configurator 4 working with Photoshop CC 2014, but then I learned that the new PS doesn't use Flash anymore so this method won't work.
I don't want to download the 1.2gb trial of Extension Builder 2, rather I am trying to follow A Short Guide to HTML5 Extensions. But it is unclear on where on disk to actually save the files. Thanks man..:-)

I installed Photoshop CC (2014) yesterday through the Creative Cloud app. Now, when in Lightroom when I go to "edit in"and select Photoshop CC (2014) and click on "edit copy with Lightroom adjustments", it opens Photoshop CC (2014) but my photo doesn't show up? My photo does show up when I click on "edit copy" or "edit original".
How can I correct that so that I can open up a photo from Lightroom WITH the Lightroom adjustments? Thanks!I'm having a similar problem, but only with jpg's. I have PS CS6, CC, and CC 2014. Other image file formats function normally with regard to the "open with" list. PS CC 2014 appears on the list. But with jpg's only PS CC appears on the "open with" list and 2014 can't be added by the browsing for it.
The curious thing is that if I have any of the three versions of Photoshop open, click on Photoshop CC in the "open with" list, the image opens in whatever version is already open on my computer. This is true of all image formats. No matter which version I pick from the "open with" list it opens in the currently running program. I use only the latest version so keeping it open all the time is an easy work around. I won't uninstall any of the earlier versions lest more file association quirks result. it would be nice to have this matter fixed. -
Edit in Photoshop from Lightroom doesn't work; Automate Photomerge doesn't work
Edit in Photoshop from Lightroom doesn't work.
It opens the Photoshop application with all the menus/windows, but it never opens the actual image I chose to work on.
Likewise, I also can't automate>Photomerge ... I pick all the images for the PHotomerge and hit "okay," but nothing happens. Makes me think it's Photoshop, not Lightroom, that is all wacky.
I'm on a Mac, using OS X Yosemite, 10.10.1 Lightroom is version 5.7 Photoshop is CS5, version 12.0.4
I uninstalled Photoshop CS5 and reinstalled. No change. I also tried dumping PS preferences, but that didn't affect a thing, either.None of my "Edit In" worked with the pictures in Lightroom for a particular folder.

Just upgraded to Photoshop CC 2014 and it's playing havoc with my work flow.
I've just upgraded to Photoshop CC 2014 and it's playing havoc with my work flow.
i) From LR5.5, when I click edit with "Photoshop CC 2014" - it opens PS CC 2014 but doesn;t open the image
ii) Whenever I try and use Nik Viveza it crashes PS CC 2014 when applying the changes from viveza. I've checked that I have the latest version of Nik software. It was working fine PS CC
I'm now going back to CC until these can be resolved.
Thanks
ChrisI was going to reply that I have multiple monitors and have had zero problems with Viveza used with PS CC 2014. Then I realized two things. One I didn't know if the OP was on windows or the Mac and, two, if the Mac was it a Big Cat or geographic system. The display characteristics differ greatly between the three systems.
It sure would be nice to have a one line signature specifying the poster's system available for use on this board.

So I download photoshop cc (2014) and when I go to open the program, it gives me an error message and shuts the program down. It says," A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program." Can someone help me please?
I've got the same issue and it affects all my adobe software. You are not alone as I have seen several postings looking for the answer to this help request.

I can't open Lightroom (5.7.1) files in Photoshop CC 2014. When I Right Click and select Edit In Photoshop CC 2014 nothing happens. I have uninstalled CC 2014 and Lightroom but no change.
What happens if you start up PS CC 2014, first, and then try the Edit In?
Here are a few things to try related to a similar, but not exactly the same problem:

Lightroom doesn't work after update to CC 2014
After last update to CC 2014, Lightroom doesn't work for me. I use Windows 8.1
kmvereb - Don't accuse me of lying, OK? It works fine with penderra's instruction.
1. Close Adobe Creative Cloud completely.
2. Empty the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache
3. Launch Lightroom - you should be asked to Sign in to Adobe CC. -
I have updated to Photoshop CC (2014), and uninstalled CC version, but 2014 is working slow, so want to go back to earlier version. How to do that? I am not able to find CC in creative cloud manager and when I am trying to download via web, it's downloading the 2014 version.

Settings for audio HDV 24p 16:9
Hi, I have some very serious audio issues. Someone told me, maybe it happened because of the way I captured the audio (I don't know) into FCP. Maybe... The footage was shot with an HV20 in HDV 24p 16:9. The sound clip in Format states: Aud rate 48.0
