Photoshop CC 2014 - Problem at launch

Hello, I'm new on this forum and with PS.
I'm working on an Imac with an OS X 10.9.4 version.
I installed Creative cloud and Light Room 5 which are working fine.
I installed then Photoshop CC 2014 but when opening it appears the following message "Impossible d'initialiser Photoshop en raison d'une erreur du program" which means "Could not initialize Photoshop because of a program error".
I tried the following solutions :
1- Reinstall the program
2- clean up with CC cleaner tool
3- restart in safe mode
any solutions ?
Thank you for your help.

I generated this report under GENERAL:
Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 15.0.0.58, time stamp: 0x536b438e

Lotfi are you receiving any error messages during the installation?  I would recommend reviewing your installation logs for errors.  Please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Trying to open Adobe Bridge from Photoshop CC 2014 will launch Creative Cloud

As written in the subject, I have the problem that Bridge doesn't start anymore since updating to Photoshop CC 2014.
Instead the creative Cloud desktop application is launched and tries to reinstall Bridge CC (although it is already installed)
All old Bridge version were uninstalled without result.

I have the same issue when trying to Browse in Bridge from Photoshop CC 2014. When I click "Browse in Bridge" in Photoshop CC 2014, the Creative Cloud desktop client window opens up and asks "Are you sure you want to install this version of Bridge"?
Like you, I also thought it was an update so I clicked' "Yes, install this version" option.
Bridge will launch from the dock icon I have set up, but not from within Photoshop CC 2014.
Any solutions to this bug anyone?

  • Launching custom HTML5 UI's in Photoshop CC 2014 (15.2)

    Problem:
I am trying to get Photoshop CC to launch custom built HTML5 UI’s.  In doing so I have hit a few roadblocks:
    Roadblocks:
    • The documentation online to install and launch HTML5 UI’s from scratch is out-of-date:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/articles/a-short-guide-to-HTML5-extensions.html
    • The supported method, using Adobe Extension Manager CC requires an internet connection, which our network does not (and will not) ever have.
    • The workaround instructions to use a request code from an internet-capable workstation are incomplete
    http://www.adobe.com/go/getactivated
    What I think I need:
Right now I am blocked from using HTML5 UI’s.  If a rep from adobe could tell me where on my workstation to place unsigned extensions that would be a great first step, and then if they could verify that the registry work-around is still supported with Photoshop CC 2014 (15.2) that would probably unblock me.

No, just keep it at sRGB. As long as you have the "preserve" policy, the working space actually isn't all that important. The embedded document profile will always override it (as it should).
I had to read this a couple of times to follow the trail properly. Leaving Perfect Effects (which I don't know at all) out of it - does the very same file iteration, with the same edits, look different between Photoshop and Lightroom? Did I get that right?
In that case you have a bad monitor profile. This can sometimes throw off one application but not the other. Recalibrate, or if you don't have a calibrator go into Windows color management and set sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as default display profile. When done relaunch all applications so that they can pick up the new profile at startup.

  • CC 14.2.1: MiniBridge Photoshop Tools menu scripts are launching CC 2014.. err why ?

I've installed CC 2014 and Adobe Bridge update 6.1.0.115. Since installing, if I use Photoshop CC 14.2.1 and try and access the Photoshop Scripts in Mini Bridge (Load Files as Layer, Batch, Image processor etc) they launch CC 2014 instead. I've tried changing back the File Type Associations in Bridge CC and resetting the Bridge Preferences also, but no change. I had this happening simultaneously in a Photoshop course I was teaching with 6 macs running 10.9.3 today. I'm thinking this is probably due to the Bridge Update calling the scripts from the CC 2014 application folder instead of CC.
The obvious answer seems to be to ditch CC and go 2014, but for a variety of reasons I want a fully working version of CC for the next few weeks or months, and the functionality of Bridge for CC 2013 seems lost at the moment.
Can anyone else confirm this or have solution ?

You must be on a Mac.  On windows only one version of Photoshop can at any given time.  Normally when try to launch a second different version of Photoshop your thrown into the version of Photoshop the is currently running.  However if its the Bridge the tries to do the because Bridge CC has been updated to use Photoshop CC 2014.  Nothing Happens its as though you did nothing.  I would bet Bridge tried to launch Photoshop CC 2014 for it does when Photoshop is not running.  But If it tries to launch Photoshop CC 2014 it would not launch gor Photoshop CC 14.2.1 is up and running. Its an Adobe Bug the do not have a Bridge CC and a Bridge CC 2014.    When  Photosgop CC 14.2.1 mini bridge extension launch Bridhe it launches the update Bridge CC which turned it into  Bridge CC 2014 though the Creative Cloud labels it Bridge CC.

  • LR4 Problem: The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS6 could not be launched.

Is there a fix for this?  When I try to edit an image in Photoshop from Lightroom 4 (CTRL+E), Photoshop CS6 launches immediately but with no image.  In Lightroom 4, after about two minutes, the message box appears saying "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS6 could not be launched."  When I click OK, the image promptly opens in Photoshop CS6 like normal.  This wan an itermittent issue for me after the LR4.1 release.  I was hoping that LR4.2 would help, but now I get the error every time.
    System
    Lightroom 4.2 x64
    Photoshop CS6 v13.0.1 x64
    Bridge 5.0.1.23 x64
    Windows 7 Pro x64
AMD Six Core / 3.9 Ghz
    16 GB Memory
    NVidia Quadro 1 Gb Video
    Scratch space on three drives

This may be a cooincidence, I starting having problems after I started using a Nikon D800, which has 36MP files.  LR4 released at the same time as the D800.  LR4 shows signs of struggling with the larger files, which are typically 280MB TIFFs for the D800, like freezing for several seconds when using an adjustment brush or going into a spasm with the crop tool.  Because Photoshop does not have similar large file issues, I'm doing more basic work in Photoshop, like cropping, dodge and burn, exposure adjustment, etc.
Because Photoshop otherwise runs fine, and appears to read all the prefernes properly mid-issue, to get a better idea of what's going on, I turned on Process Monitor from Technet. For what it's worth, LR4 appears to touch the Photoshop preferences before it launches Photoshop.  LR4 must have a memory leak in that corrupts the Photoshop preferences file in a way that makes no difference to Photoshop.
My weekend project is to try Capture One to see if I can spend more time on photography and less troubleshooting Adobe problems.  As it stands, LR4 is not usable for me.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 having a problem with display driver then crashes computer

Since the Photoshop update in October most of the time when I open Photoshop CC 2014, either my computer crashes with the driver state power failure or the program is able to boot and provide an error message involving a problem with the display driver and then my computer crashes with the driver state power failure. I did not have this problem until the update in October. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz processor
    12.0 GB of RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860m

You need to update your video driver from the website of the manufacturer of your video card.  You cannot rely on Windows Update or Microsoft, which typically have outdated drivers.

  • Photoshop CC 2014, A problem caused the program to stop working

When opening Photoshop CC 2014, I get "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly". Works fine on my home computer but the new one in the office has the error message. I have the latest cloud version of the program. I've updated the AMD/ATI display driver- first from the HP site supporting the Win 7 Pro laptop I'm working on(driver ver.13.2) and then from the AMD site (ver.14.1) I've installed all windows updates. Still get the same message followed by Photoshop closing itself out.
Has windows ever notified anyone of a solution

I think once Windows notified me of a solution (which was to update my video card driver). Most of the time you don't get a direct response, but submitting the report does give the engineers something to work with in order to try to find out what is causing the problem.
Anyway, there are about a million different things that can cause any application to return this generic error message. While you've already covered a couple of the possible solutions, there is still a ton of stuff to try. Since Photoshop is working on one computer but not the other, and knowing that Photoshop is exactly the same between both computers (assuming you are using the same version), then the question really becomes "what is different between the two computers?" Basically, shy of knowing that, we have a ton of general troubleshooting steps to give a shot at:
Troubleshoot system errors, freezes | Windows | Adobe software

I don't think I can access the crash report? Excuse the ignorant questions I'm about to make am a relative tech novice.
Soo - as mentioned every time I open photoshop it crashes - it just says there's an error and the program will shut down and if there's a solution windows will notify me. Then nothing...
I've tried to look in photoshop files for the detailed crash report & the system event viewer but cannot find a file with those names. I've also looked in the windows files for files with those names but cannot find them either - so I don't know where to look.
    Any guidance would be great.
