Photoshop CC 2014 stops working after less than 30 second and shuts down

I have installed and uninstalled Photoshop CC 2014 three or four times via Creative Cloud and each time it stops working after less than thirty seconds and shuts down the program. I then installed a an older version of Photoshop CS5.1 from a CD and it works perfect. I also have Illustrator CC 2014 and Lightroom 5 installed from Creative Cloud and both work flawlessly. What can I do to get Photoshop CC 2014 working?

if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.

The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.

Zen Micro - stopped working after less than a mo

Hi, I purchased a Zen Micro for my daughter's birthday 3 weeks ago. Played fine for a while, she got busy w/ school and let it sit idle for about a week. She charged the battery and now it will only display the Creative logo and nothing else. I can get to the recovery menu, but nothig seems to work there either, it just appears to look up not matter what operation is selected. What is up with this? No where does Creative give an idea how long the clean disk, format, or any other operation in the recovery menu operations should take. Even my PC doesn't recognize that it is connect to the USB port.
My daughter is quite upset that her new Zen mirco stopped working, I'm quite dissappointed with this so far. The Creative faqs were not helpful at all. I hope someone can walk me through the steps to get it working again. I really will be put off if it has to be sent out for repair, I don't want a refurbished unit, this one is like new.
Anybody else have the same problem/ How did you get it working again?

Well I contacted cutomer service by phone, as suggested. They were much more helpful. Douglas knew right away that the micro hard disc had died just from the discription of the problem. He gave me an RMA and took down my information and sent me on my way. When I check my e-mail the RMA number was waiting with good instructions on how to return it.
What a shame the e-mail tech support was no anywhere near as helpful. They wanted me to down load new drivers and try it on another computer when I knew the USB ports were working OK.
The only gripe I have is they don't have a toll free number and I'm out the shipping and insurance to send it back. This better be the last time it fails.
Bottom line is if you have a Zen Micro that will only display the Creative logo, and Recovery Mode operations do not work at all, just call customer service for an RMA, your hard disc probably died too. I hope this is just a case of a bad bunch of micro disc. I don't want to have to keep doing this.

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 'Stopped working'

recently purchased Creative cloud.
Photoshop boots up but crashes immediately with the dialog box 'Photoshop CC has stopped working'
Windows 8 - 64bit
Graphics : nVidia GT 650m
Graphics : Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000
both drivers are up to date.
Illustrator works fine.
Any help would be appreciated

Photoshop elements 12 stopped working after swapping mainboard

Hi everybody!
On a Win 7 Pro PC the PSE 12 Photo Editor stopped working after swapping the defective mainboard.
I tried uninstall and reinstall as admin, with disabled security software.
We always get the welcome screen from where you launch organizer or editor, of which only the organizer works.
Launching the editor directly from the application folder or from within the organizer fails too.
Also the newest update installed, does not change this behaviour.
I'd appreciate your suggestions!

driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Did an online chat which was no help what so ever.

The touch screen would stop working completely a few seconds after turning on. The iPad is still running fine -- Home/Power/Volume buttons work perfectly. But not the touch screen. I can not control the iPad except turning it on/off or turning the volume up/down.
Tried resetting the unit by holding Home and Power buttons. Still the same issue after rebooting.
Tried restoring the iPad completely from iTunes. With a clean iOS the touch screen still doesn't work.
Leaving the unit untouched for a few hours, then the touch screen would start working again.... for another few seconds. Then it stops working.
This is a replacement iPad which Apple Store gave me, but I'm out of the country now and there is no Apple Store where I am. How can I get this fixed?

Labview executable only works for about ten seconds before shutting down

Hi,
I'm not a newbie to LabVIEW but I am a newbie to creating executables and installers using LV. On my first attempts I'm having a strange problem that I cannot resolve. I already began discussing this problem on another thread, but I was advised to start a new one.
I've made a variety of VI's but for debugging purposes I made the simplest VI possible: just some plain text on the front panel, no code on the block diagram.
I created a project with just that VI, compiled an executable, compiled an installer, and sent the installation files to my colleague. I use a Win XP machine and so does he. He does not have LV installed.
The installation goes fine, the VI starts up, appears to run fine and then spontaneously quits (i.e. the window closes and disappears) after twelve seconds with no error message.This happens even if I create a VI with a loop. The VI executable, installed via the installer on my WinXP PC (which has the full LV application) does not replicate this problem. It occurs only on a WinXP machine where LV is not installed.
version info: LabVIEW 2010
My debugging ideas going forward are:
- try to play with the "Source File Settings --> Use default save settings" checkboxes, as suggested by another user in another thread.
- ask another colleague with WinXP and no LV to test the VI's, to see if the problem is somehow linked with my first colleague's machine.
- to check the Windows Event Log (following the advice of user Norbert on this forum), but I'm not sure if I'll be able to decipher what I read in there. A first look has turned up nothing interesting.
- am pretty stuck for ideas after that.

Issue solved: the anti-virus was forcing the application to shutdown.
Bit of a newbie problem
I discovered the problem when I tried the executable on another colleague's PC. When the exe was launched, the anti-virus software (Avast!) showed a pop-up that said it was verifying the unknown program and then after about 12 seconds it shut it down. It then proposed to open the program in either the "sandbox" or "as normal" the next time. By choosing "normal" the VI worked fine the next time.
It turns out that on my first colleague's PC, he also had Avast! software, except that on his PC it was running in some sort of hidden background mode. This meant that it didn't display any pop-up messages to indicate that it was interfering with the VI. Once we manually launched the Avast! interface, it finally proposed the option of opening the VI in the sandbox or normally.
All works fine now. I hope this helps other newbies out there.

Adobe photoshop cc 2014 stops working

Hi all,
Recently got myself signed upto CC for L5 and Photoshop CC, however when I open up CC it immediateley crashes and closes down saying 'adobe photoshop cc 2014 has stopped working' then goes on to say a program disabled it but windows cant find a solution.
Dell XPS 8500 windows 7, amd Radeon HD7570 graphics card, which has been scanned and updated via drive Tuner throuh AMD's site.Still the problem persists - so frustrating!!! L5 is starting up no problem. Previously had L5 installed and CS5. Can't uninstall CS5 either.
Please can somebody help me, I'm at the end of my frustrations

Why does photoshop cc 2014 stop working when extracting 3D

I recently acquired photoshop cc 2014 and would like to use 3D. When I try to extrude a file, my photoshop stops working. I have an AMD Radeon HD 8400 graphics card.

Photoshop 3D Extrusion stopped working after latest Adobe update

I have Creative Cloud subscription and Photoshop 3D Extrusion used to work fine (though slow).
After latest update several days ago it stopped working, displaying an error message instead:
"The 3D features require that 'Use Graphics Processor' is enabled in the Performance preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly"
The Graphic Processor is enabled, and the driver is working fine.
Is this a bug or a "feature" in new version? How to make it work as before the update?

Ken, who are "they"? I expect help from Adobe. Aren't you a staff member?
When Adobe sold me the Cloud it did not tell me that 3D features were not going to work.
The last update was applied only to Cloud version of Adobe products. It's not Photoshop specific. Something was wrong with the cloud software update.
I expect Adobe to fix the bug and make 3D features work again.
