Photoshop CC 64 bit
I run a 64-bit operating system.
Before Photoshop CC changed to Photoshop CC 2014, it installed both in my Program Files, and Program Files (x86) folders. Now, it only displays in the Program Files folder.
Topaz Labs, installs in the (x86) folder, and refuses to shop up in Photoshop. How can I download Photoshop CC 2014, and make sure it's downloaded to my 64-bit Program Files (x86) folder? The lady I chatted with for help was of no use and was telling me how to Install Photoshop, which... I already know how to.
Thanks
Opinions of ridiculousness aside, I'm just telling you how Adobe does it.
Photoshop CC (2014) is a completely separate application from Photoshop CC 14.x.
They can coexist, though nothing says you have to keep the old one once you have the new software up and working.
But the key thing in your case is this:
The Creative Cloud application installed both 32 and 64 bit Photoshop CC 14.x applications on your computer:
The 32 bit application went here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC
The 64 bit application went here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)
The Creative Cloud application installs ONLY a 64 bit Photoshop CC (2014) application on your computer:
The 64 bit application goes here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014
IF you go to this link, there you can find the installer that will put the 32 bit Photoshop CC (2014) application on your computer:
Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
The 32 bit application goes here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 (32 Bit)
Thus, you will need not only to install Photoshop CC (2014) from the Creative Cloud application, but if you really need 32 bit plug-ins you'll have to install the 32 bit Photoshop CC separately. Then, at some future date if you decide you no longer need the Photoshop CC 14.x version, you can remove it.
Please don't shoot the messenger.

Photoshop CS5 64-bit crashes when opening an image; 32-bit works fine
This is a bit of a tricky problem, but if I start up Adobe Photoshop CS5 64-bit, it runs alright. But the second I choose an image and open it, I get "Photoshop has stopped working..." and Windows tries to find a solution.
However, the 32-bit version of PS CS5 works perfectly.
On my Mac Mini, however, which ONLY HAS Photoshop 64-bit (Creative Suite 5, Snow Leopard, latest updates), images open and edit fine.
On my PC, I also had this same exact problem with the 64-bit version of Photoshop CS4.
I read in a few forums that it might be a corrupt font, etc., but I have no idea why a corrupt font would be affecting how Photoshop 64-bit opens an image, especially if I don't even get a chance to edit the image or anything. The images I've been trying to update are JPEGs.
I have all of the updates installed on my PC regarding CS5. It's completely updated. I am really stuck. I'd like to be able to take advantage of the 64-bit technology and put that version of Photoshop to use, but I can't.
Thanks in advance. I'm willing to try anything at this point. Here you go, copied straight from the event viewer console.

I did my best to recreate it to look the way it looks in the console, so nothing should be confusing.
Also, @Chris Cox- I do have the most recent beta driver installed for my onboard graphics card, which is an Nvidia GeForce 6150SE, maybe that could be causing it. I will uninstall it and install the most recent recommended release from Nvidia's site. -
Performance Issues with Photoshop CS6 64-Bit
Hello -
Issue at hand: over the course of the last few weeks, I have noticed significant issues with performance since the last update to PS CS6 via the Adobe Application Manager, ranging from unexpected shut downs to bringing my workstation to a crawl (literally, my cursor seems to crawl across my displays). I'm curious as to if anyone else is experiencing these issues, or if there is a solution I have not yet tried. Here is a list of actions that result in these performance issues - there are likely more that I have either not experienced due to my frustration, or have not documented as occuring multiple times:
Opening files - results in hanging process, takes 3-10 seconds to resolve
Pasting from clipboard - results in hanging process, takes 3-10 seconds to resolve
Saving files - takes 3-10 seconds to open the dialog, another 3-10 seconds to return to normal window (saving a compressed PNG)
Eyedropper tool - will either crash Photoshop to desktop, or take 5-15 seconds to load
Attempting to navigate any menu - will either crash Photoshop to desktop, or take 5-15 seconds to load
Attempts I've taken to resolve this matter, which have failed:
Uninstalled all fonts that I have added since the last update (this was a pain in the ***, thank you Windows explorer for being glitchy)
Uninstall application and reinstall application
Use 32-bit edition
Changing process priority to Above Normal
Confirm process affinity to all available CPU cores
Change configuration of Photoshop performance options

I've just upgraded to CS4
When i launch Photoshop for the first time, it's running normally.
But if i close it, it seems to be closed, but a photoshop.exe (64 bit) process is still remaining in memory and i can't launch
Photoshop until a kill the first process.
The computer is is Windows Vista 64 bit with 8GB of RAM and a Ndivia Geforce 9400 GT graphic card.
The problems remains if I disable OpenGL or reset prefs.
I only have the 64 bit application installed and for the rest seems fine.
All help is welcome !I assume you reboot the computer after removing the buggy software?
I would do a search on your computer for the software and see if there are any remaining folders. If so remove them and reboot.
This is a good free removal software. It is called CCleaner and it will remove any junk remaining on your computer. Give that a try. It also has a registry cleaner too.
Up to you if you wish to use the registry cleaner. May help because there might be something left over from removing the software that is triggering the problem still.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working [Lightroom 5 Beta]
I was looking for a Lightroom 5 Beta forum but am unable to find one. Today, I downloaded and installed LR5 Beta on my new HP Envy 64-bit Windows 8 machine. After running an installation, I started the program. At first, it asked about opening a catalogue during which time I created a new one as I have no intention of using my LR4 catalogue for LR5B. After creating the catalogue, it stated the following:
"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
After it closed, I tried opening it again. Same result. No matter how many times I tried, the program would not open. I tried reinstalling the program to no avail using the "repair" feature. Finally, I just removed the program.

Can not update Photoshop CC (64-bit) 14.0 to 14.2
Can not update Photoshop CC (64-bit) 14.0 to 14.2. Initially the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application would also not update (an error message was generated), and I was getting an error message when I attemped to update Photoshop CC using the Application Manager. Once I fixed the Creative Cloud updating problem, I ran the update from the Creative Cloud application and it appeared to work. On checking I found that the 32-bit version of Photoshop CC was updated but not the 64-bit version. When I bring up the Creative Cloud application it tells me Photoshop CC is up to date, even though the 64-bit version is not. Even the Application Manager brought up in Photoshop CC (64-bit) tells me Photoshop is up to date.
if there's an error message, attach a screenshot of it - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/963429
otherwise, use - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-update-issues-cs5-cs5.html -
How can I install Photoshop CS6 32 bit after 64 bit has already been installed?
I have installed Photoshop CS6 64 bit from a disk, but I need an additional 32 bit install for my scanner. Can anyone tell me how to do that, please?
Use the add windows feature from the windows control panel.
Or use PowerShell:
Add-WindowsFeature BITS
Here is a list over all the prereqs you need to install:

Photoshop CS6 - 64 bit Optimus issue - SOLVED!
Photoshop CS6 64-bit will not run when Optimus is enabled on my W520 system The program works fine if I have discrete only set in the BIOS. Setting the default graphics adapter to NVIDIA GPU when using Optimus still has the problem. Anyone seen this issue before? CS6 Photoshop 32-bit runs OK under Optimus with the NVIDIA GPU set as default. I'm stumped so far. I searched the Adobe Support site and found nothing concerning this issue.
Update_1: I initially installed the latest NVIDIA driver from the W520 Driver Matrix. The NVIDIA level downleveled from 296.88 to 296.20, but CS6 started working properly. I then downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver 301.42 which was the level recommended by several graphics sites. The system is working smoothly now. CS6 will now use the OpenGL and acceleration features of the 2000M. BTW, my WEI changed from 6.5 to 6.6 with this driver. The 3D graphics still remains at 6.9.
Update_2: I encountered yet another anomaly with the display driver. I placed the system into Discrete Graphics and updated the display driver to 301.42. When I set the system back to Optimus, the CS6 programs could no longer access the NVIDIA GPU. I had to reinstall the 301.42 drivers again in Optimus mode to have everything back to full function. I switched back to Discrete mode to check if things were still working (they were) and then I returned to Optimus mode and the programs continued to function properly. There must be a sequence that requires Discrete updates first, and them=n Optimus, but I've never seen it documented.

The Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 - I can't use becouse is LOOCK DOWN the computer -
When USE is LOCK the computer so everything is LOCKING can't even move the mouse + need to restart the computer and use Photoshop CC 64 bit instead - have this problem for about 6 months ...Please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for quicker answers"):
http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-mos t-issues.html
http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2325
Are you trying to use a 32bit version (I did not even know there is one for Photoshop CC 2014)?
If so – why? -
Why is Photoshop CC 64-bit is slower than 32-bit?
I have a very powerful system.
HP Z820 Workstation
Intel Xeon CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60 GHz (2 processors)
64 GB RAM
64-bit OS
Windows 7 Pro
Nvidiea GeForce GTX 690 (2 GPUs) 4 GB VRAM ea.
But here's the deal. When I'm painting or drawing down to the pixels within Photoshop CC 64-bit, it crawls, the lag is so great! I have caching on an SSD card even. Then I had an idea, I switched to the 32-bit version of Photoshop CC and everything is good, it's faster than the 64-bit version.
What gives?!? Why would the 32-bit version be faster than the 64-bit version?I know, it's VERY odd. I can actually do things faster in 32-bit mode Photoshop CC. I'm painting a very large digital painting. 180 dpi, at 40" x 24" (for print) - When I first started painting it, I was using Adobe Photoshop CS5 and it was very smooth to paint it, very fast. But now I've upgraded to Photoshop CC and the 64-bit is VERY slow, and lags terribly. Then just on a whim, I opened up Photoshop CC 32-bit and could paint just the way I did with the old CS5, very fast and smooth. It's like Photoshop CC 64-bit was a major step down in performance.
Here's my system info.

Photoshop CC 64-bit inability to open more than a single thumnail
Photoshop CC 64-bit inability to open more than a single thumnail at a time.
Am I missing a setting in Photoshop CC 64-bit or win 8?Some choose not to use Bridge. I don't care for it myself and don't even have it installed. With a thumbnailing shell extension installed File Explorer makes a nice integrator.
From File Explorer, Open With does not appear when multiple files are selected.
Dragging and dropping to a Photoshop shortcut on the desktop works, as does dragging to the Photoshop Taskbar button and hovering (which brings Photsohop to the front if it's already running) then dropping on the edge of Photoshop.

Photoshop CC 64 bit sometimes won't recognize Nvidia graphics card
Sometimes when I open Photoshop CC 64 bit on windows 8.1 I get these warnings. I then have to restart my laptop for Photoshop to recognize my graphics card. Sometimes when I launch photoshop it is fine and there is no issue at all. It seems like every other time I launch Photoshop I get these warnings. I noticed that when installing programs from Adobe CC there are 2 versions installed. I tried opening the version that is not 64 bit and I did not get these warnings.
I noticed from another thread, that nVidia released a new Windows driver earlier this month. About the 3rd of March if memory serves. I don't know what card you are using, but I think some of those drivers cover a range of cards for the OS the driver is intended for.

Why do I have both photoshop cc and photoshop cc (64 bit) in my menu? Which one should I be using?
The majority of the time using the 64 bit version is better, since you have more resources available (ram)
If you need to run some older third party plugins that were only ever offered as 32 bit plugins, then the 32 bit version is the choice.
Or if you happen to use a scanner with twain, then the 32 bit version. -
I have mac OS X, Photoshop CC 64 bit and and i would like to run 32 bit plugins.. How may I do this ?
As said already by JJMack, you cannot do that.
Photoshop CS6, CC & CC 2014 only install a 64-bit version on Mac OS.
Photoshop CS5 installs a version that can launch in either 32 bit or 64 bit when you install on a 64-bit version of Mac OS (Mac OS X 10.5 or later). If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier, then Photoshop only installs the 32-bit version.
Photoshop CS4 installs a 32-bit version only.

Installing SDRAM for Graphics card
