Photoshop CC can't install ImageReady.exe running

I have tried multiple times to install Photoshop CC. After completing the download, then extracting I get a message:
at 42%
Photoshop CC Install
Please close the following applications to continue:
-ImageReady.exe
Nothing is running. HOW CAN I GET THIS SOFTWARE INSTALLED.
Logged into my administrator account and nothing is running.

Try to restart the machine or select the option in Task Manager>Processes tab, which says show Processes from all users and then check for this process.

Can I install and/or run Photoshop Elements 12 Offline (behind Proxy)?

Due to the setup of our network at work, the machine that requires photoshop elements 12 doesn't have internet access. Can I:
- Install PS Elements 12 without the internet ?
- Run PS Elements 12 without the internet. I also want to ensure that PSE12 doesn't need to "phone home". I'll need to disable this so the user is never prompted ?
I have internet access on other machines that I can use to activate the key if needed, but consider the computer that requires the software completely offline.
I need confirmation of this from a Adobe rep before I can purchase the software. Thanks.

PSE 12 requires you to have an Internet Connection at least once when you are installing it so that you can register the product and activate it. After this process is complete, you don't need Internet connection unless you want to update it on a periodic basis (say once every 6 weeks). This is only for the updates; So if you are not bothered with updates then you don't need Internet Connection.

Why Does ImageReady.exe Run on My Laptop?

I have the Sattelite L955-S5370 (Windows 8). I noticed that two instances of ImageReady.exe are running as processes. From my research, this is part of Adobe Photoshop. However, neither Photoshop nor Photoshop Express has ever been installed on this laptop. The only Adobe product that has ever been on this laptop, to the best of my knowledge, was Adobe Reader.
I'm not complaining; these processes don't seem to be causing any problem, from what I can tell. I'm just wondering how in the heck they got onto my laptop?

There are only so many file names. Some with the same name are different files. And of course Adobe may use the file for many products.
For clues..
a. locate the path to the file
b. right-click the file, click Properties, and look at the Details tab.

Downloaded Discoverer4.1: can't install (setup.exe won't run)

Hi,
Just downloaded Discoverer 4.1 (admin4133f.zip) and unzip files in directory c:\temp (along with Oracle Forms and Report and Oracle 8i zip files) but whenever i run setup.exe nothing happens.
I've already got Oracle Personal Edition 8i and Developer 6i installed in my pc.

I've eccounted the similar installation problem - Oracle Discoverer installation at the OracleHome that already has Oracle Reports lead to setup.exe fail. This is noted since Discoverer 3.1.+ and Reports 3+
Try to install Discoverer into another OracleHome.
If installing in the same Home - Discoverer must be the first, Reports - the second...
(By the way - watch for the 9iAS EE installation - you'll see Discoverer goes first :) )

You need to install the LabVIEW Runtime engine for your specific LabvIEW version.
In the project window you can create an installer that includes the Runtime Engine (RTE).

I learned on short notice that I will be teaching a Photoshop a full day this Thursday and need to plan today.

Can't install, uninstall or run QuickTime - help!

About three weeks ago my QuickTime all of a sudden stopped working.
When I try to play something, I get the following error message: "An error occurred inside a plug-in contained on this page".
Then the following message comes up: "The plug-in did not initialize properly".
I get a picture of a film strip with a broken section through it.
When I try to uninstall Quicktime from my computer, I get the following message: "Fatal error during installation".
I can't uninstall it, and I can't re-install it. I can't repair it or change it or remove it from the computer. Everything else on my computer seems to be working just fine.
Any ideas? I appreciate your help!!!

I recently installed ACE codec version 6.3.911.0, i had a suspicion (sp) that this is what was causing the problem, but the codec pack is great so i'm hoping there's a work around.
it's our prime suspect at the moment.
the runtime problems arise when the codec packas contain componentry/codecs for earlier versions of QuickTime than the minimum version needed for iTunes to run. the iTunes 7.1.x versions required at least a QT 7.1.5 (up from QT 7.1.3 for the iTunes 7.0.x versions), so we got a fresh round of the codec pack businesses with that.
(now of course, with QT 7.1.6 on the scene, i daresay we might start having some trouble with Codec packs that just contain QT 7.1.5 codecs and componentry.)
the best thing to do first would be trying to uninstall the Codec pack. if QuickTime (and therefore iTunes) is still not running after that, try seeing if an uninstall/reinstall of QuickTime now goes through (without the fatal error). if it does, does QuickTime start working again?

G5 has bad voodoo - can't install OS or run any programs!

One of our users had her machine (dual 2GHz G5/4GB RAM) crash twice. I tried to repair it with Drive Genius and that only made it worse. I was in the middle of defragging and it automatically rebooted. I tried installing 10.5 on it and it just rebooted a few minutes in automatically.
I put in a SECOND hard rive, reformatted it and installed 10.5. Yet, I can't do ANYTHING without the OS crashing. I can't even launch System Prefs. Every app just quits. Now, I'm trying to re-install the OS on the new drive and it's just stuck at 47 minutes.
I'm thinking it's some other hardware issue. I've NEVER seen something so bizarre in all my years supporting Macs.

Please, please help... This past year I have had a tough time with the installers for SC4 working on my new computer at the time. I paid a programmer to custom write new installer... which worked!!!
Now however, my PC sound isn't working and need to do a system resore... don't want to pay this guy to do rework on the installer drivers again... does anyone know if CS4 has new - working install drivers (Adobe support was not able to help)?
I ask first because installing the CS4 without my tech guru the partial install of CS4 would not uninstall - requiring a system restore at the time.

Run the Cleaner tool to remove all the remnants of the previous installations and re-install Adobe Application Manager. You can download the Cleaner Tool from the below link:

Make sure that you select the right options while using Cleaner Tool to uninstall only CS6 and not the previous versions.

Debugging installed AIR .exe

When running my AIR app in Flex Builder with ADL, my error
messages come through fine and I get an error dialog when something
fatal has happened (that wasn't caught by a try/catch).
However, when I package up and install my AIR app on another
machine, the error messages are now silent, and
flash.system.Capabilities.isDebugger is false.
Is there a simple way to have the installed AIR .exe run with
debugger capabilities, so that error messages are shown in dialog
windows?

For anybody using the CommandProxy pattern, you can get the
proxy to launch your program through ADL by changing a couple lines
in the CommandProxy.cs file in the LaunchAndRun() method. (There
are cleaner ways to do this but for a quick fix...)
1) change the processPath argument to ADL :
processPath = "adl.exe";
2) change the process startInfo args to the following string
p.StartInfo.Arguments = "myApp-app.xml -- " + authToken + "
" + port;
This worked for me.

Can not install CS6 Extended. Receive error that I need Adobe Air it won't install

I can not install I am running Windows 7, Service Pack 1. Installer starts but sits for hours not doing anything.
I have uninstalled Adobe Air, reboot the computer and tried to install again with same error.
Any suggestions? I was on hold for 2+ hrs with support tonight and they never answered my call!

Thank you for your response. I finally set my computer to a previous date and updated. I had recently installed several updates to Microsoft and Adobe Flash.

As per the EULA(End User License Agreement) you are authorized to install and activate a product on two machines at a given instance. You can choose the two machines as per your convenience. IF you want to now install the software on a third machine you need to deactivate the software from one of the two machines you installed the software on, and then install the software on the third machine.
