PhotoShop CC - Can't Save Using Ctrl + F10 on PSD 3D Box?

Hello there Adobe member, and thank you very much for looking into my question.
The issue I'm having is that, while using http://www.psdbox.com/psd-files/3d-box-generator-for-photoshop (ArtBee's 3D Box PSD), I cannot save the smart layer.

Basically, as per the documentation instructions I'm supposed to press "Ctrl +F10" to render the 2 smart layers onto the projected box. Problem is, when I do it, nothing happens.
I've done it on CS6 with no problems, it's only after switching to CC that I cannot save.
How do I fix this? I have no other conflicting programs.

It seems to work here on windows 7 with photoshop cc.
If you expand the action, is Ctrl+F10 showing?
If it's not, see if any of your other actions have that same shortcut assigned to them.

I just tried this in Photoshop CS3 myself. When I add a text layer, and choose Save, the Save As dialog box comes up and defaults to PSD as was described. But... that is just the default! Go ahead and choose JPEG from the Format pop-up menu down below the file list. JPEG is in there. So what happens to the layers? Notice when you choose JPEG, the Layers box grays out and the "As A Copy" box grays out and is checked (i.e. you cannot uncheck it). What is going on here is Photoshop will gladly make a JPEG of your layered file, but it will force the JPEG to be a copy, so as to not overwrite the original layered file. This is good, because your Photoshop file with its editable text layer is preserved, and you get a JPEG copy to put in iPhoto.
The second way is, instead of doing Save or Save As, choose File/Save for Web and Devices. This will also give you a JPEG choice, and also create an exported copy. Because this way makes files for the Web, they will be smaller than JPEGs from Save As because they will lack built-in previews (which you don't really need these days) and other extra metadata that take up space.
Either way you get a JPEG you can toss back into iPhoto.

It depends on the file format, many formats are limited to 2 or 4 Gigabytes.
PSB (Large Document Format) is not so limited.

Can images be used as selections in a combo box in Acrobat 9 Pro? I only see options for text choices when I look at the combo box properties. Basically, I want to click the drop-down and see images (small logos) from which to choose as opposed to text choices.

Have a look at the PO sample that ships with Designer. It shows the provinces or states based on the country that you choose. Look in the Designer install folder under EN/Samples/Forms/Purchase Order/Dynamic Interactive

Photoshop CS6 can't save to server after upgrading to Mac OS Yosemite Server from Mac Lion Server

We recently upgraded our server from a Mac Pro 2008 with OS X Lion Server to a Mac Mini 2014 with LaCie 20TB 5Big Thunderbolt 2 RAID drive. Everything is working fine with the exception of Photoshop. It does it intermittently but once it happens it will continue to do so. We get message like "Can't save to disk because of disk error" and "Can't save file because of program error" . Sometime we are able to do a "save as" and save over it. Most of the time we have to "save as" with a different file name and then rename and recopy the file. We have check permission on all the file as well as the server HD has ignore ownership checked. Again only three things changed. 1) Sever hardware change from Mac Pro to Mac Mini. 2) Server software upgraded from 10.7 Lion to 10.10 Yosemite(both have the latest update). 3) Drive when from internal on Mac Pro to External Thunderbolt 2 LaCie drive. We have no problem with Illustrator or Indesign. Only Photoshop. Anyone with any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately you seem to be using Photoshop in a way that Adobe discourages, so you may not be getting a lot of helpful advice.

Photoshop CS6 - Can't save anything

So I can save PSD fine, and I can save as TIF, but TIF is huge. I tried to save as GIF, PNG, and JPEG, but none worked. It gives me the little yellow exclamation mark and says I can only save as a copy. I have RGB color mode on, and it is in 8 bit.

What version of photoshop are you using?
Since layers cannot be saved in the gif, png,and jpeg file formats, the little yellow exclamation point only means photoshop will save a flattened version of your file, hence the word Copy.
(the file should look the same after saving and the original will still be open in photoshop)
If you need to save the file exactly as is in photoshop for later editing, then psd or tiff are the best file formats.

Whoops. Just noticed that you mention CC, so I guess you are talking about 14.1. So what is your OS?

Simply cannot save an image, after editing.

Ok, I think the key here is save as vs. save. What I am thinking is the original file is set to read only. Meaning you can not save over top of that file, but you can use save as and create a new file.
In windows explorer locate the file you are opening, then right click on it and see if read only is enabled.

Photoshop CS3 can't save .PSD files

I have Windows XP, Adobe Flash 10.2 ..
I can save all file types two weeks ago, and then one day I just can't. I didn't install/delete anything on my computer before that, it just happened all of a sudden. Scanned for viruses/malware, none found.
PROBLEMS:
1) When I save for web images, I get: "Some of the specified files already exists in the target location. The files marked below will be replaced:", though it IS a new & different file/filename. So I click "replace" and I get this: "Adobe Save for Web Error: Could not write the file. The file was not found". Then I click OK, and Cancel. I checked and nothing was saved except TMP54ee.tmp which is 0bytes.
2) When I save as... .psd, I get: "Could not save as C:\Name\filename.psd because the filename was not valid". I checked, just some gibberish that is TMP54ee.tmp AND ~ps8455.tmp (both 0bytes) are saved.
So I looked online for answers. Trashed settings, uninstalled/reinstalled PS CS3. Nothing worked, so I looked for more. Finally got one solution that worked: Edit > Preferences > File Handling > Uncheck Enable Version Cue. It kinda solved just Problem 1, for web images: KINDA because I get the same error messages on problem 1, but when I check the folder, PNG file IS saved (though filename.png.tmp and TMP34ee.tmp are still saved along that).
*** When I close PS CS3 and open it, sometimes Enable Version Cue is ~magically~ checked again and I have to uncheck it, sometimes it's good. So I can live with that as long as my PNG & JPGs can be saved.
PROBLEM #2 is still unsolved, & I'm still desperate for answers. Can anyone help me? Like I said, I've tried trashing the settings, uninstall/reinstall, updated Flash, nothing worked. And I can save PSDs until two weeks ago.

That sounds like something outside of Photoshop is interfereing with file saving.
None of what you describe should be possible with a clean copy of Photoshop.
But bad anti-virus, disk compression utilities, etc. could cause behaviors like that.

Why can't I use Ctrl-V to enter Password here?

These Apple forums are one of the few places where for some unknown reason Ctrl-V cannot be used to enter your password. Would someone explain why it is not allowed? Thank you.

Well, at least I remembered to tell Chrome to keep the password so I didn't have to look it up this time.
I have over the many years used simple and complex passwords but except for a few never considered that Apple would be one that would not only help me formulate a strong password but also deny me using Ctrl-V--so I've ended up with one I should reset to something along the lines to be memorized.
The problem for me is, over the years again, I've created and track well over a hundred passwords each different for each site visited. I can see now how I might simplify things greatly but haven't.
What exactly is wrong with using Ctrl-V? Why is it a security risk to Apple and practically no one else?
It is interesting to me that my gripe about Ctrl-V actually leads into a major question I need to resolve concerning how to maintain the security of a "Browser Bookmark and Password and Email Contact list" on my iPad? At this point in time there is no need to figure out how to sync everything between my different browser and email programs on the PC and Safari and Mail on the iPad. Better then doing that would be to print out a list. Better then that would be if that List could be encrypted and kept on the iPad?
Is there an App designed to strongly encrypt any document created and moved to the iPad where it would be encrypted?

I don't think you can because a Photoshop file (PSD) with layers will be flattened when you open up in Photoshop Touch.
I prepared a Photoshop file with one layer of image, one layer of text over a background using Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Pro and upload the PSD file onto Creative Cloud. I then open this file in Photoshop Touch (on iPad) but it comes out as a single flat layer merging all three layers. Hope this helps.

Photoshop CS6 - can't save as a PDF - error message

Hi - I am having problems saving a PDF in photoshop CS6.
There isn't an option to save as a PDF in the Save As function so I've been trying to do this through the Print Function.
When I get to the point where I press Save I get the following error messgae:

Without exact system info, details about the document, PDF settings used and so on nobody can tell you much. There could be any number of reasons why you neither can save as PDF nor print to PDF, the most obvious being an unsuitable color mode or a wrong document size.

no dear there is not any option as u suggested.
rightnow i am using my canvas and making the bytearray of it and then I am saving this bytearray with .jpg/.png format with the JPEG/PNG Encoders. but what it does? It makes a single .jpg file of canvas so if there are 3 images in it than it will save entier canvas as .jpg.
I want to save each image as different layer and finally the canvas should be save in .psd format show i can open that .psd file in photoshop..

Editing .tif file in Photoshop, then can't save as .jpg

A problem I've never encountered before. I have a few pictures that were scanned as .tif files. When I import them into Photoshop and work its magic, then save as a .psd file I can then not save the file as a regular .jpg. The jpg option does not appear under Save As. For the record I'm using PS 4 with Windows 7 (64). To the best of my recollection I've never had this problem before. Help.

Photoshop Express can't save on Windows RT

I'm not able to save any edited picture taken with the integrated camera in Photoshop Express (3rd option on the start screen of PsE). Some message flashes through the screen and I get a toast notification: Save failed. There is an error in save your image. After editing I have clicked Save/share, save to device.
Any known workaround or setting? Asus Vivo Tab RT, Hungarian locale and language installed. We use , as decimal separator, space as thousand separator, and the date is in yyyy.mm.dd. format, hope this helps
