Photoshop CC Dock Icon Saving – No Progress Bar

Apple Mac Question.
With Photoshop CS5.1 the Dock icon would show a progress bar when saving. This doesn't seem to be the case with Photoshop CC. This was quite a handy feature.
Has anyone else found this ?
Anyone from Adobe like to comment ?

Updtaed Photoshop CC to latest (2014 bug fixes). Interesting. Now I get a progess bar for opening files but not for saving them !

Plug your device into iTunes. Hold the home & sleep buttons at the same time. After 10 secs release the 2 buttons. iTunes will tell you it's found a device in DFU mode. The iPod screen will stay black. At this point do a restore. If you see the Apple logo you have held them for too long.

Download to desktop, progress bar on icon wont go away

I generally use Chrome to brows the web. I have my browsers set to put downloaded files on my desktop. When I download a file, it shows up on the desktop with a blank icon and a progress bar while it's downloading. When it's done downloading, it's supposed to change the icon to a thumbnail of the file. This works sometimes, but about a quarter of the time it seems to stay on the blank icon with the progress bar, with the progress bar almoast complete, but not quite. This happens despite the fact that the file has actually finished downloading. I can open the file and everything, it just has an icon that seems to indicate that it is not ready. If I "get info" on the file, it removes the progress bar after several seconds, but the icon is still blank, and the problem persists for new files.
I'm running OSX 10.9.2 on a imac with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Chrome Version 34.0.1847.131
Though it seems like this problem has been around for a long time, probably multiple versions of both. I'd love to find a resolution to this problem.

What other way would you like us to suggest, if you've "tried everything there is to try"? : )

Black screen/progress bar with Yosemite startup

Since installing Yosemite on my relatively new imac, when I boot up i get a black screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar, which takes about 90 seconds to load. I've tried disc first aid, verify/repair permissions etc , done a new install from my backup disc but it still persists. is this now the way of the yosemite world?

Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

Is there a preference/setting in Windows that allows you to display a rendering progress bar on the the app icon in the dock for AE the way Premiere does?

Opening web jpeg files by dragging to CS3 Photoshop Dock Icon

G5/2.0ghz/dual/3gigRAM/OSX5.8/CS3 Suite Extended
In Tiger, why was I able to drag any web image to the dock CS3 icon and it open in CS3 Photoshop immediately, and I am unable to do this in Leopard? I have repaired by DiskUtility and Disk Warrior, repaired permissions (an especially long list each time), lastily reinstalled CS3.
I can save the web image to the desktop. Open Photoshop and find it, then open it, but I cannot drag the web image directly to the CS3 Photoshop dock icon and open the same web image.
I get the message: Photoshop does not recognize this file type.

I saved the jpeg to my desktop. In CS3, File/Open/xxxxx.jpg. Opens perfectly.
From Safari, I drag the same xxxxx.jpg to the dock CS3 icon. CS3 responds "I do not recognize this file"
I click on xxxxx.jpg on my desktop. Command+I, direct OSX58 to open all similar files in CS3 Photoshop.
Restart the computer.
Go to the same web page, drag the image to the CS3 dock icon, and CS3 doesn't recognize it.
What am I missing from the FAQ, that someone else wants me to look at?
Or was that a lazy suggestion to me?

Itunes 11.1.3.8 shows a speaker icon in front of the seclection but it is not playing. the progress bar does not move. there are speakers attached to the system and all other programs do profuce an audio output.

Go to the Edit -> Preferences-> Playback
In The bottom section of the page click the drop down menu by Play Audio Using and select Windows Audio Session or something other than "Direct sound" or whatever it displays. Click Okay. This worked for me! I hope it works for you too!

Name of bar below status bar and above the dock icons

What is the name of the grey bar at the bottom of Firefox, version 33 . It sits at bottom of Firefox screen. It is usually empty, nothing on it.. I can also x it out to delete it. It sits just above the dock icons on my Mac desktop.

Is it possible to use a progress bar in Photoshop?

I'm developing an automation plug-in to Photoshop. It take long time to do the work, I therefore want to start a none modal dialog with a progress bar and a cancel button. I did not find any example of this in the SDK. Is it possible to use any of the functions in the PIProgressSuite.h for this kind of dialog?

I don't think you will have much luck with the progress suite. It is used for one operation that your plug-in would control. You are probably using multiple Photoshop events and want to sum them up in a progress bar. Ideally you would want a double progress bar, one for the overall progress and one for the step progress. Unfortunately, the progress suite will get reset with each process that Photoshop tries to show progress for. Your best bet is to just use an OS progress bar in your dialog. Figuring out the progress will be dificult.

Since trying to load latest update on Ipad it only boots to Apple Icon and progress bar seems stuck??

since latest update it tried to run and recieved error. Rebooted and it gets stuck on Apple icon and appears as though the progress bar trying to load but it just hangs there. Can't do anything????

I went to the Apple store, the salesman held the power button andthe main button down for five seconds or so, and it came back to life. The ironic thing is that I already tried that before going....Anyway, the iPod went into recovery mode, where I had to basically plug it back into iTunes, confirm the new update was downloaded properly, and then I had to wipe it clean in recovery ( or whatever you call it). I put all my music back on it and now it works fine......good luck

I just reinstalled my system; I use a script to know my brightness and audio volume but I can't get it working anymore.
With this
notify-send 'Hello world!' -i dialog-information
I only get the text. If I try this to have a progress bar
notify-send 'Hello world!' -i dialog-information -h int:value:50
I just get a notification with 1px height.
I installed notify-osd-icons to have more icons, but it didn't help.
The arguements have changed?

Ok, I'm not sure if it's because of that, but I installed human-icon-theme and after a reboot, it worked.

About progress bar and Photoshop

I have been reading a lot about how to make a progress bar in photoshop (scripting) and my conclusion is that it is not worthy. The only way to make a progress bar is by using Palette window but Photoshop does not support it. If we use a dialog window, since it is modal, it will freeze whatever your script is doing so, you cannot use it (how to track the progress of a script if the script is paused while the dialog is being shown?). Although Photoshop does not support Palette, there are two workarounds that would make it work and they are using either app.refresh() or waitForRedraw() (and undocumented function that seems to me to do exactly the same thing that app.refresh() does). But as the manual says, app.refresh() will slow down considerably your code. According to my experimentation, each time you call app-refresh(), your script will waste about 1 second (no matter how powerful your computer is). That is a lot of time! In practical terms, you would use app.refresh() only a few times so your progress bar could be refreshed only a few times during the whole duration of your script, still one second lost for each time you use it. In other words, there is no good way of making a progress bar in photoshop scripting.
My question is: am I right? Is there a way to code a progress bar in PS that would not delay the code unreasonably?

Since I wrote that post I've learnt that BridgeTalk is pretty sensitive - for instance to binary code: instead to let .toSource() functions that needs to go to the message, you'd better of wrapping them into a String literal.
True, AM is lightning fast compared to DOM! But I won't use BridgeTalk for a Palette if the Palette is needed just for a progress bar. Such a Palette will stay alive while your script does all the things it's supposed to do without the need of waitForRedraw().

TS1424 When I touch the secret passages icon to play the game it starts to load and then when the progress bar completes the game crashes and goes back to windows. It's very frustrating as I really enjoy this game but if it's not rectified I might have to

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Slow Progress Bar on Photoshop CS5

Hi,
I need help with Photoshop CS5.1 v12.1 ,
Problem: When ever i insert a gradient or a photo it comes up with a progress bar which takes ages to load and it used to load in 1 second but now it takes ages , i have looked every where but there was no results and i really need help because i am currently editing a Wedding Movie in a different Program but i also need to make a menu for when the DVD is in the DVD Player but i went to photoshop to edit a photo but this happened and i have reinstalled it but nothing has changed. I have tried the Edit then Performance solution but that did nothing. So i need Answers As Soon As Possible!

iPhone 5 was fine until I restarted the device... now the screen flickers on and off (with the white Apple logo
and frozen progress bar overlayed on the screen).
When I try to restore, I get a "-1" error.
Well I just looked over at the screen, and everything is now fine. No flickering, no logo... the screen looks normal.
