Photoshop CC Freezes every constantly, VERY frustrating.

So here is the problem. Interested to see if anyone else is having the same issues, or if anyone knows anyfixes.
Im Using:
27inch imac
i7
SSD
32gig ram
Maverics
Photosho CC 14.2.1
The Problem:
About every 30sec - 3min photoshop hangs up. I do not get a beach ball of doom, and OS seems to be uneffected. I can still move the curser around in PS but no changes are made to the image if I attempt to make them. I can also not change the tool to anything else (IE Brush to lasso etc).
If I switch to another app ( lightroom or bridge etc) and then switch back to PS it is sudenly working again. Some times I will even see that some of the changes I was trying to make before hand (which didnt show up) suddenly do show up (IE a brush stroke etc). This "fix" seems to work every time.
It is so ridicously infuriating to have to switch to another app sometimes every 30 sec. Its nuts! I mean surely its not a specs thing! I was thinking perhaps a graphics card thing though?
Interestingly this is hapening on my work mates computer, but not nearly as often.
Thoughts . . . . help . . . . ANYTHING hahaha ? ? ? ?
Considering I have not heard of it Im going to say no!

Really like iPhoto, and all the editing features, and use this program A LOT!
HOWEVER....exceptionally frustrating and disappointing that this means, when the program keeps, freezing, crashing and losing editing work I have done, that it is time consuming, takes a long time to do the basic editing I am doing, and very often lose, and have to redo eiditing I have already done.
It's a disappointment, seeing as I am such a Mac fan, and own a laptop, desktop, ipad, and iphone, and been an exclusive Mac user for 8years...
Why such hectic bugs/program deficiencies....?
All software is up to date, I have the Lion OS X on all my devices/computers.
Dont know whats going on and if there is anything I can do, or is Apple doing something to work out these bugs....

I see that you have a lot of experience with iPhoto. I wanted to chime in here and present that I am having this same exact issue. The context here is that I am on a shiny new MBP. Last vistage before the recent update. iPhoto is also driving me nuts, crashing frequently. It does it with my current libraries, with new test libraries that i have made after deleting pres, reinstallg, and restarting. I went to the apple store and we made a new user and a new library, for which I was able to make it crash. I have a photo that will sometimes make it crash, although it can successfully load after the app restarts, or if I completely redo everything. Even so, if you delete the pic and re-add, it does the same thing...but not every time. This is totally elusive. I am hesitant to resinstall the OS because 1) It's still got that new OS smell 2) iPhoto is the old app that shows any kind of trouble. Plus, iPhoto's shenanigans seem to be somewhat temporal, behaving differently every time. I've see a few posts about this on-line and I think it's rediculous that a pillar of the Apple ecosystem is so broken for so many people, with so little recourse. If you'd be willing to try and get to the root with me, it would be absolutely huge.

Photoshop cs3 freezes in leopard 10.6
Hey everyone,
First post here. Up until about a week ago I've been running the Adobe CS3 suite under OS 10.5 with no real problems (except the usual freeze when running too many!) After installing the 10.6 update, photoshop would freeze every time I attempted to use a tool on the image (eraser, brush, etc).
I then read on another separate forum to do a reinstall and backup of OS 10.5 and to NOT upgrade to 10.6. I did this and now photoshop works fine - it works again. Only problem is I'd like to have the new Safari browser and the other features with 10.6.
Apple, do you know why photoshop CS3 doesn't work with the latest OS upgrade? Will you have a patch for this soon?
Please help - thanks!@ Templeton Peck - Jeez - what crawled up your b* - this guy has a problem which directly relates to an update of an Apple product. His CS3 was working prior to the 10.5.6 update and now its not.
Third party or not this is an Apple forum and therefore a good resource for problem solving issues.
Might I suggest in future you direct more effort into helping people with problems rather than ripping them for seeking help.

I have a similar problem with CS3 on the Mac, try resetting the preference as stated above. Repair your permissions too. It is worth noting that occasionally I have issues with CS3 on my MacPro freezing when I have Microsoft office programs open. It seems to be more prevalent when doing something complex - smart layers or moving images from one PSD to another. The software hasn't crashed (although it says not responding in the force quit box) it has merely frozen. Depending on how complex the artwork it normally comes back after a short while and starts responding again. I am led to believe that it is due to Microsoft Office not being optimised for Multi-core processors. It happens possibly a couple of times a day but there is no hard and fast rule to it happening.
In your defense - I always start here for anything related to my Mac as normally the people here are very helpful (Peck not being a good example), before heading out on a bigger search. (And Especially as the Adobe forum is woefully hard to find any information on easily)

Photoshop elements 13 FREEZING every time with Mac OS X Yosemite
Just purchased Photoshop elements 13, upgrading from version 10. 10 was running slow in editor so I thought the latest version would be faster but not only is it slower & stickier but I can not open the organizer. It freezes every time & I can not see my catalog pics. A few pics load & the rest are question marks or sand timer.....Then it freezes completely & I can not do anything until I force quit. I've tried most of the trouble shooting listed but NOTHING is working!! Please HELP!!!! So frustrating!!!!

Am very frustrated with Photoshop Elements 8.0 & Premier Elements 8.0
Made my first slide show several years ago on older version of Elements. Worked real easy and in no time at all, had a nice slide show. Even set to music. By the next time I went to make a show, had upgraded to 8.0. I put the slides together, and as soon as I attempted to add music, I began to have issues. The slide show playing, but not the music, starting to play appropriately, and then losing the music, and if I attempt to pause, the program feezes, and have to do ctrl, alt delete. I also then purchased Priemere elements 8.0. Main reason was to be able to output to DVD instead of VCD( not everyone I wanted to share with could play my VCD's). After much frustration, got the show together, and sent to Priemere. The show did not play normally in Priemere either. Although the music played. The encoding process took extremely long, 6-8 hours for a 9 minute show. The next show I did, when I sent to Priemere, some slides were turned on there sides, couldn't find how to fix without going back into Photoshop slide show creator and resizing those pics. Many hours with much frustration again a very long time to get it to DVD. Today I give it one more shot. Dsigned a 7 minute show in slide show creator, Added one song. Music never played, but slides moved along OK. if I tried to pause or stop, Photoshop would freeze. Even tried turning off screen saver. So, sent to Priemere. Music played fine, but slides do not progress appropriately. If I stop and pause, it will readjust to the time of the music and can begin again, but 2 or so slides, and freezes again despite music playing on. Am using a computer with AMD 64 Athalon dual core processor 3800+ 2.01 GHz, 2.00GB of RAM, using Windows xp. Have check processer usage in the past, always seems to have plenty more room. I otherwise don't know much computer language as far as the operating of the system. However, I am ready to ditch both programs for something which doesn't have issues everytime I try to use it.
I’m not seeing these issues although I’m using PSE9/PRE9 but I always add the audio in PRE and then use yhe sound mixer. I’m wondering whether your system has sufficient RAM as 2gb is quite low by today’s standards and video rendering is quite CPU intensive.
I think there are a lot more output options with PRE9 including the h.264 codec for HD video playback on YouTube and iPhone. It might be worth considering if you ever intend to upgrade your system although you can of course try out the free trial.

Photoshop CC program error when opening or placing files. VERY FRUSTRATING PLEASE HELP.
I'm an advertising graduate student that relies heavily on Adobe programs for my multiple simultaneous projects throughout the school year, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Muse, Edge Animate and Premiere Pro.
I'm using a MacBook Pro running OS X Yosemite.
I have been experiencing an incredibly frustrating issue with Photoshop and Muse, both CC 2014. I'll speak about Photoshop in this thread since, well, this is a Photoshop forum. This has been happening for almost a year now. I figured Adobe would've fixed this problem by now, especially given the myriad of crash reports I send.
While working in Photoshop, sometimes when I go to place a file I get an error message that says "Could not complete your request because of a program error." It used to be that this error was fatal and I would have no other choice but to force quit out of Photoshop and restart it. We all know how incredibly time-consuming it is for Photoshop to open (especially 10-15 times in one sitting), and being in grad school, time is not something I have a lot of when I have deadlines and projects due.
This error is still happening and for the same reasons; however, now I can still continue to work on my file, as long as I don't need to open a document or place an image...which doesn't help very much because I'm doing a lot of mockups and composites and need those functionalities. It happens probably 90% of the time when I try to place or open a document.
For the record, it's a similar issue that's causing Muse to crash as well. When I try to add an image file, it causes the entire program to crash "unexpectedly," as Muse so eloquently puts it.
Until recently I had kept CS6 on my hard drive and would dig it out to use in place of CC when PSCC would crash; however, someone told me that having both versions was likely the cause for the crashes. After much hesitation, I finally uninstalled all of CS6 from my hard drive the other day (the right way, not into the trash can, since someone is inevitably going to ask that question) and I'm still having this problem, and now I don't have my CS6 version to fall back on and now I'm in a really bad spot.
I apologize for all the rambling, but I'm really very, very frustrated with this error, and I had to do something while waiting for Photoshop to restart. Someone please help.MacOS 10.10? Yeah, Apple is working on that bug. They already fixed the crash in the open/save dialogs, but have a few more problems to address with the open/save dialogs.

Am I the only one that has had every charging cable (for all of my iPhones and all of my iPads) fail? Very frustrating. I got used to quality products from Apple but seems the small stuff is being overlooked nowadays!
I have yet to have a cable for my iPad 3, iPad 4 or iPhone 5 fail. I have multiple cables for each device without any failures.

I liked new firefox... I made it my default browser..But I am very frustrated with issue here I mentioned. Whenever I scroll down on facebook.. every 2-3 seconds page gets loading and it eventually make my surfing experience bad... I want you to fix that issue as soon as possible and then only I will start again firefox. So, just let me know when you make fix....

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Hi there I am having trouble with my outlook express this is the first time it has happened it keeps telling me can't connect to the SMTP server and every password I have tried is incorrect this is for 'iCloud' very frustrating as all our phones are ok
Well I am feeling a bit silly now because that was all I had to do. In the past Workgroup Manager had always opened right up to the list of my users, I never even thought to click on that but apparently that was all that was needed.
I still am not sure how the iChat Server preferences changed themselves on me, but it is not the first time I have had weird "settings" issues with our Snow Leopard Server.

Ever since I updated my ipad2 and iphone5 to ios8, both devices are running slow, apps take forever to download (Google is STILL downloading on both), and they freeze/crash. This is VERY frustrating! Anyone else having the same problems?
Message was edited by: RkksheaHad same problem on my iPad2 with the original 8.0 release. I ended up wiping it completely clean and doing a reset and restore from backup. That seemed to fix my issues. I had the same problem when 7 came out and did the same wipe and restore to get everything working well.

Since updating to ios7 my ipad freezes, randomly zooms in and out, black pages that take forever to load and battery charge doesn't last very long. It's very frustrating, is there anything I can do it seems to have a mind of its own

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

My iPhone is skipping back to the start of a song every time I unlock it, especially when I am replying to a text message, this is very frustrating and just want to know if it is a simple bug that will be dealt with in the next update?
Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
Restart phone (you already did this)
Reset phone
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described. Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8. It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday. -
Iphone 4s keeps freezing in every setting so frustrating
Hi all, hope you can help, when I am using my iphone 4 keeps freezing in all settings, phone, contacts, recents etc...then in messages, what do I do? I've unfortunately already tried resetting it, with the on/off button at the top at the same time as the home button until the apple symbol shows up yet to no avail it simply starts up and does it again....as in if I go into messages, a whit blank screen appears and then after 10 or so minutes of going back and fourth the messages might come up, or my recent calls come up, however if I then hit the phone symbol in contacts to call someone, it does nothing...... very frustrating, has anyone had this happen? What do I do?
Ty restarting by holding both the home and sleep buttons until the apple logo appears and then let go and wait for phone to restart. No data will be lost
