Photoshop CC gets error--close ShellExtLoader

This does not make sense, as the ShellExtLoader is not open and I don't even know what it is. Therefore I have been unable to install Photoshop CC on my Mac. Please advice.

Is SugarSync on your Mac. If so Quit SugarSync then verify.

Have you tried removing all 3rd party plug-ins?
Also, resetting preferences to defaults may help... Press and hold Command - Shift - Option immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.

Getting error '"close the cd/dvd guide"

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer. I get error message "close the cd/dvd guide" when trying to print on a cd. I downloaded the new driver for snow leopard and I still cannot print on a cd. Please help!

You will need to remove and reinstall your drivers. Here are instructions for the procedure.
1. Power off the printer
2. Uninstall Gutenprint by clicking on the link below.

3. Click on the file it downloads and uninstall Gutenprint.
4. Open System Preferences and Print/Fax
5. Highlight the R300 driver and click on remove ('" - ") sign.
6. Delete the Epson Folder from the following location
Mac's Hard Drive\Library\Printers\Epson
7. Delete the following files.
Mac's Hard Drive\User\Library\Preferences\ com.apple.printer ....plist (remove all of the print.plist you find.)
8. Restart your Mac.
9. Download the following R300 files from link below:

1st epson11523.sea.
2nd epson13044.dmg
10. Install the downloaded files

15. Click on File print
Make sure the R300 is selected under the Printer selection and CD/DVD is available under the Media selection.
This should take care of the problem.

Cs6 Bridge will not open files in Photoshop cs6, get error message pasted below

Windows cannot find C:/Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Photoshop.exe
I installed Photoshop CS6 Upgrade (64bit and 32Bit) to my PC which ran CS5 Extended. When I deleted CS5, Bridge
stopped opening files, whether I double clicked on the file or did Open with: I get the same error message.

By uninstalling CS5 you have corrupted file associations. THey want to open in CS5 now and it is not on machine.
You can either unistall CS6, do a script cleaner, and reinstall.
Or you can change an entry in the registry. Here is instructions from a previous post.
I installed Photoshop CS6, then found CS5 was still there. I thought, hey, I don't need CS5 anymore, so I uninstalled CS5. then I found out that Photoshop was no longer available in 'Open with' when right-clicking an image...
So I went into the Registry, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\open\command, and changed the (Default) from "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe" "%1" to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe" "%1" (so changed CS5 to CS6) - and now I see 'Adobe Photoshop CS6' in my 'Open with' list when right-clicking an image...

Trying to uninstall Photoshop but getting error

I'm trying to un-install Photoshop as I have installed it on another pc, but am getting an error message

Ooops, looking at your screenshot again I now realize I didn't look hard enough - if you wanna get rid of anything before CS3, the Cleaner Tool is no use. Use the plain MS Installer Cleanup instead.

Unable to update Prelude CC. Get Error ' Close the following application - log transport'

This is happening when I'm using the CC admin program to install the update. The download of the update begins, and once the install starts, I get an error that says:
Close the following application 'log transport (logtransport2.exe)'- I can either close or retry.
How do I close this application - logtransport2.exe?

SDK Photoshop CS5 : Get errors and continue task

I have a script which applies any functions to contratct, expand, and any other ones...
I have any thousands images to process. Sometines, there are images which can't be processed.
I want to continue with the next image when there is a problem but to get the error and to know which image has a problem.
How can I do that?

In your loop that you process the image files make the actual process a function. Try it and catch any unexpected error and ignore it. Maybe something like this might work
for (var i = 0; i < fileList.length; i++) {
try { processImage(fileList[i]); } // try to process images files catch and ignore errors
catch(e) { }
Just a guess... You could also log errors (e + ': on line ' + e.line + " processing ffile: " + fileList[i] ) in the catch and after the last files is processed if there were errors list all the files that failed with the associated error messages.

I restored my backup to my new Macbook and when I try and Open CS4 Photoshop I get error 150:30 Licensing has stopped working. Before I deactivate my oldder Mac I want to make sure I can launch on the new one. What should I do? Thx

Reinstall your software properly, don't use backups/ migration/ Time Machine.

Keep getting error messages

I am installing new Adobe CC programs and getting 2 errors: 1) error 55 and 2) error 502. What do these errors mean? I am getting these errors when installing on Windows 7 Professional and when Installing on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I have researched Internet - ADOBE and others - to find a solution, but no luck! (see under)
The problem started around one year ago but I was able to open Bridge and go to Photoshop from there until recently.
Now I get "Error Code 16" in Bridge too when I am trying to go to Photoshop.
I have tried everything I could think of (including creating a new Administrator-user) with help from my Internet research and my own pretty good experience (I started working with computer systems as a Systems Analysts 1968...... - now it is only PCs)
I miss my Photoshop and Bridge a lot - it is very frustrating to have this problem, but I can see I am not the only one!!!

You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
First you will have to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
Then you can install PSE from scratch.
