Photoshop CC Installation issues

I am having problems installing Photoshop CC (Trial Version), it appears to successfully download but then fails installing an update - I get a U46M1P6 error on the update installation.
Even though the installation appears to install successfully, whenever I try and open it I get an error message.  I have run the Adobe Support Advisor software and no issues have been found.
System details:
Error shown on Creative Cloud:
Error shown when trying to launch PhotoShop
Report from Adobe Support Advisor:
Any advice gratefully received!

Thank you for your comment, however could you expand on "does not meet requirements"
In what way does my system not meet them?

  • Photoshop CC Installation issues are causing a bsod

Tried installing Photoshop CC 4x, only Photoshop, same result. BSOD detailing a kernal fault. Ran memtest, chkdsk. No errors found.
It would install to 95%, stay for 5min or so, then typically blue screen.
The last time I tried I got an interesting error:
    "Setup.exe - Application Error
the instruction at 0x00000000770CAFCB referenced memory at 0x000000005C35A38C. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc0000056."
In the Creative Cloud app, it stated Photoshop CC installation failed and had a "more info" link:
"There was a problem installing Photoshop CC
    For more info....
    Installation failed
Installation completed though some optional components failed to install correctly. (6)"
I had to then manually shut down the computer as it was frozen.
    Specs:
    Windows 7
    intel core i7-2860QM
    16GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M
    C: 32GB free

And what disk setup? This behavior is typical of flakey SATA drivers and/or sectors of your harddrive being inaccessible to produce the activation footprint, which on some SSDs or platter drives with "reserve" is by design and may require setting certain options eitehr by using configuration tools or physically changing the dip switches/ contact bridges used to confiure the drives...

  • Photoshop CS2 installation issue

I had to clone my hard drive, and then CS2 didn't work anymore. I downloaded the individual programs from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html, and they installed and ran OK except for Photoshop. At the end of the install I got this error message: "Error 1402.Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\...Adobe Photoshop CS2 - {236BB7C4-4419-42FD-0409-1E257A25E34D}. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel." I tried it as the administrator, etc., but I keep getting this message. What can I do?

    Hello Jeff,
I am using Windows 7 Pro, and yes, all was operating well before the activation servers shut down. Also, as I said in the initial message, I was able to download and install the CS2 versions of InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat (downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html ). When I try to install the version of Photoshop CS2 (downloaded from that same site), I get the error message (right at the very end of install) "Error 1402.Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\...Adobe Photoshop CS2 - {236BB7C4-4419-42FD-0409-1E257A25E34D}. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
I'm a high school teacher and I use these programs all the time, so this is becoming kind of inconvenient for me...
Thanks for sticking with me on this,

  • Lightroom 4.2 Installation Issue

Leaving this around in case anyone else has the same problem -- Solution found -- Windows installer issues / registry issues -- used the Microsoft Fix it tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651#reso3) to correct.  4.2 install ran fine.
I've read through the posts in the Lightroom forum regarding  LR 4.2 install issues. I will list here the things I've done to try to get the install to work:
    1) Downloaded the installation software twice.
    2) Ran the setup program in admin user mode.
    3) Ran the install in admin user mode.
    4) Get the following error in a Windows Installer window:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi' in the box below.
    Use source:
    c:\Users\RMJF\AppData\Local\Temp\{...}
What I have found (after displaying hidden AppData folder):
The location where the .msi file resides is different from the one defaulting in the above window.
I select this alternate path, but still cannot complete the installation.
Furthermore, when I cancel the install, I get this error:
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2 64-bit Installer Info
Error 1714. The older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightoom 4.2 64-bit cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group
I have been running LR since the beginning of time and most recently LR 4.1, so there is no 4.2 installed.
Also, I tried to fix the install of 4.1 via the programs in Control Panel. I cannot repair it and get this error:
The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
All versions (except the 1.0 version) were downloaded and installed from the Adobe LR site.
    So, looking for suggestions.
Seems like there are some missing files from the 4.1 version that are hindering the install of 4.2???
All quite frustrating.  Hope you can get me to a speedy solution.
(System info:  Windows Vista 64-bit Home, SP 2, 20 GB of disk space to spare!  Also, I have set the install program to be allowed by the anti-virus program. I have run a registry clean-up, as well.  No other apps are running during the install.)

  • Photoshop CS2 installation failures

I have been having trouble with Photoshop CS2 installation. PS was working fine bur 3 days ago told me there was a serious error and I had to reinstall which I have tried 5 times but it gets to the end and tells me a file is missing and to quit which I do but no PS. Adobe told me to create a disc image using disk utility and install from that. Still failed. I had to install on another bootable disc with 10.4.0 and it worked so there is a software conflict somewhere, probably with the latest security update (2007) but I do not want to have to reformat my HD and reinstall ALL my software from scratch and then NOT update to latest software without knowing what is going on. Can anyone offer any suggestions please.
Adobe say there is no conflict issue with latest security update. Have tried all sorts of install methods but it always fails at the last hurdle!
    David

Firstly I am not installing the whole suite of software, only PS CS2 so Version Cue is not a problem.
Adobe also say there is no conflict issue with Apple security update and CS2. They tell me about making sure I have admin read and write for registrations database but this asumes I have PS installed which I cannot
Secondly I tried the CS3 Beta download which incidentally is 685Mb and it will not mount, so I will have to try another lengthy download

Sorry I've been away and just got back.  Presently I'm working from jrun4 and would like to use blazeds instead.  Once my projects get going I would need the ability to use my customers already made linux/tomcat boxes and just plug in blaze.
I look forward to your answer.

Are you just trying to install and run BlazeDS? Why do you need to build from source?

  • Forms 10g Installation issue on windows 7 Professional service pack 1

    hi
I am trying to install oracle forms 10g  64 bit windows 7 Professional service pack 1 ..
Below are 2 files that i am using ..
    ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip (626,122,752 bytes)
    ds_windows_x86_101202_disk2.zip (236,880,881 bytes)
But it failed but the error is ..
Checking operating system version: must be 4.0, 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2.    Actual 6.1     Failed <<<<
just wondering if there are any workaround ..

Christian is right - Forms 10g R2 (version 10.1.2.0.2) is not certified for installation on Windows 7.  You must apply a Forms 10g R2 patch to bring the version to 10.1.2.3.0 for it to be certified.  You must have a My Oracle Support account to obtain the patch.
Now, to your question - is there a workaround; the answer is yes.  There are known issues with this installer.  I'll list them and their workaround.
    1.  The Oracle installer checks for a specific set of Windows versions rather than check for a minimum Windows version.
Workaround:  Right-click the Installer and select Properties.  Click the Compatibility tab and click the checkbox: Run this program in compatibility mode for:  Windows XP SP3).
    2.  The Oracle Installer can't detect Windows Managed Virtual Memory (VM).
Workaround:  You must temporarily change the Virtual Memory settings and specify specific Initial and Maximum sizes.  See this Microsoft article for more information on changing VM settings.  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/change-the-size-of-virtual-memory
This change will require you to restart your computer.  After you have successfully installed Oracle Forms 10g, you can restore the original VM settings.
    3.  The Oracle installer MUST be installed as an "Administrator".
Workaround:  Windows 7 uses "Least privileged user" so you must right-click the Installer and select the Compatibility tab.  Click the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox.
    4.  Not a Oracle installer issue, but you will have to install the 32-bit version of the Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (1.6.0 - not 1.7.0) because Oracle Forms is a 32-bit application so it will not be able to use the 64-bit JRE.
Run the Oracle installer and it should now install succesfully.

  • Photoshop CC installation hung at "Waiting..." in Creative Cloud window.

    2013-06-17
Downloaded and installed new version of Adobe Application Manager which magically turned into the new Creative Cloud window. Found the Photoshop CC entry and clicked "Install" after which the download took lots of minutes and then switched to an "Extracting Photoshop CC" message which took more minutes. Okay, now it's saying "Installing Photoshop CC." After a few minutes, seems stuck at 70%. After a few more minutes, it's still stuck at 70%.
Clicked the "x" button to stop the installation and waited for the "Install" button reappear. I pressed "Install" again and got the messages "Installing Photoshop CC" followed by "Extracting Photoshop CC" which is still on the screen. Down where the "Install" button was appeared the message "Extracting..." but that soon changed to "Waiting...". After 10 minutes of "Waiting...", I clicked the "x" next to the "waiting" message to cancel the "Photoshop CC" installation. The "Install" button returned almost immediately.
I went to the https://creative.adobe.com site then to the Download Center. I clicked on the "Photoshop" icon and then on the "Download" button on the "Photoshop CC" page. That action fired up the Creative Cloud app on my machine and the download started again. The first message is "Installing Photoshop CC" and the percentage value is increasing (good)! There's a little progress bar in the Creative Cloud window. The display changed from "Installing Photoshop CC (49%)" to "Extracting Photoshop CC..." and where the progress bar was in now the word "Extracting...". After a couple of minutes (maybe 3 or 4), the word "Extracting..." turned into "Waiting...". I think I hate this. The legend at the top of the Creative Cloud window still reads "Extracting Photoshop CC...". After 10-11 minutes, the message "Waiting..." is still there. Someone suggested "close your browser" to get the ball rolling again, so I closed Chrome at 11:47 PM. I still have the "Waiting..." message. I'm going to click "x" and try again. Did so at 11:48 PM. After taking a break (time now 11:59 PM), message is "Extracting..." but at 12:00 midnight the message changed to "Waiting...". What the heck is it waiting for? Behavior is identical to when browser was running. Now it's 12:12 AM and still "Waiting...". I suppose it'll be like this until morning. Maybe I should kill all other processes. Did so but no help. Now it's 12:55 AM and still "Waiting...".
I have PS CS6 and LR5 installed (but neither running) on my Windows 7 64-bit 16GB machine. I'm running Webroot Secure Anywhere.
What next steps should I take to get past this Ps CC installation blockage?
    Update 1:36 AM
It's now 1:36 AM and I still have the "Waiting..." message.
There are four copies of "Adobe CEF Helper.exe *32" running and one copy of "CEPServiceManager.exe *32" (a.k.a., "Adobe CEP Service Manager"). Also, one copy each of "Creative Cloud Helper.exe *32" and "Creative Cloud.exe *32" are running.
    Thanks,

    2013-06-18 6:30 AM
Thank you, Arpit. With your help I seem to be up and running with Photoshop CC.
    I did these things:
Manually killed all Adobe processes including a "setup.exe" I had not noticed before.
Used Add/Remove programs to remove the Creative Cloud app and a partially installed version of Adobe Photoshop CC.
    Restarted computer
Renamed the two OOBE directories you specified.
I ran AdobeCreativeCloudCleaner.exe as admin but elected to exit when I saw that I'd have to remove Ps CS6 as well as CC.
    Restarted computer, again.
Downloaded and ran CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe then signed in and navigated to the "Apps" panel.
Clicked "Install" next to the Photoshop CC icon at 5:58 AM; the installation completed at 6:12 AM with an "up to date" message near the Photoshop CC icon.
I quickly tested both Ps CS6 and Ps CC to see that both would run -- they both did run.
In LR5 I noticed that the "Edit In > Adobe Photoshop CS6" has been replaced by "Edit In > Adobe Photoshop CC"
When I attempted to open an image in Ps CC via LR5, I was told to "Update Adobe Camera Raw" so I opened Ps CC manually, checked for updates -- there were three total including ACR, Ps CC itself, and one other which I think was "something something Extensions"
Restarted computer, again (following advice from updater mentioned above) after which Ps CC seems to work well with LR5.
Deleted the two renamed OOBE directories (step 4 above) after verifying new OOBE directories had been created.
My only problem now is figuring out how to get Ps CC to see my third-party filters (e.g., NIK, Topaz, Redfield). I'll probably just have to reinstall them all.
I supposed I can uninstall Ps CS6 without affecting Ps CC, right?
    Thanks again for your help,

  • NWDS installation issue - "Please wait... completing the install"

    Hi all,
I got the same "Problem" each time I update my NWDS.
[Re: NWDS installation issue.|Re: NWDS installation issue.]
After the installation, when I start the NWDS I get always the message:
    "Please wait... completing the install"
If I create a new Workspace this really solves the problem but I don't like to create every time a new workspace after an update and copy all my projects back to this new workspace.
Is there no other solution around? I think I'm not the only one who has this troubles, am I?
    Regards,
    Stefan

    Hi all,
I solved this problem by myself. So for everyone who is interested in how to solve this problem:
Just delete the folder .config in
    \workspace\.metadata\
During the next start of NWDS this folder will be created and everything will work as excpected!
