Photoshop CC, installes extentions don't show in windows/extension menu. Extensions do show as installed in Extension Manager.

Can I export extensions?

I didn't want you to reinstall Extension Manager, I just want you to reinstall the extension with Extension Manager then remove the extension.
Please try to run EM as administrator firstly.
1. Run "/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app".
2. Input the following command then press "Return" key. Don't miss the double quotation marks.
sudo "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CC"
3. Input password of administrative user then press "Return" key.
If it works, you can try to run EM in normal way.
If it doesn't work and you have installed only few extensions, you can simply delete "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/ExMan.db". After that Extension Manager shouldn't hang anymore but all extensions you have installed will not be shown in Extension Manager, although they still work fine in DW. You can install them again if you want to manage them.
If you don't want this way, you have to generate log files for troubleshooting.
1. In Terminal window, run the following commands in turn:
   cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Extension\ Manager\ CC/
   mkdir Log
   cd Log
   touch ExManCoreLibLog.YES
2. Open Finder, hold down "option" key, click menu "Go"->"Library" to go into hidden Library folder, then go to its subfolder "Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log", check whether file ExManCoreLibLog.YES exists.
3. Launch EM.
4. After EM hangs, force quit it, send the log file in the Log folder above to [email protected]

  • Apps purchased with a Mac don't show as installed in App Store

This may be related to a question I recently posted about iPhoto, but I think I am beginning to understand the problem better now so will rephrase it here.
In 2009 I bought an iMac (a lovely machine with 2.66GHz Intel i5 quad core and 8Gb of memory, plus the biggest screen available - I went for maximum spec at the time!). With the iMac came iLife (iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band...). I also bought iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote...).
I have now installed OS X Mavericks, and am becoming totally confused about the upgrades to these applications. I think this is perhaps because I didn't buy the original software through the App Store and only set up my Apple ID quite recently (within the last year I think)
    Here are my issues:
    1) iWork 09. I can see that there are new versions of Pages, Keynote, etc (eg Pages 5). However, as far as I can see these have reduced functionality compared to iWork 09 - so I want keep the iWork applications. But iWork applications are all iWork 09 and they seem to want to upgrade to iWork 11. But where is iWork 11 and how do I upgrade to it? And why are the new versions of Pages, Keynote etc dumbed down compared to the older versions?
    2) iLife. I just opened Garage Band, which I have used in the past to experiment with Podcasts. Garage Band opened and said it wanted to upgrade to version 10.05 - so I said ok why not? It went through the upgrade process successfully - and now Garage Band has lost track of all my previous Podcasts and not only that it tells me it doesn't know how to do Podcasts!!! Happily, it turns out that Garage Band 05 is still on my system and still works (and knows about my previous files). But frankly, what a mess!
In the App Store, Garage Band now shows up as "installed", but iPhoto and iMovie do not. On the other hand, maybe I don't want the new versions if these are also "dumbed down" compared to what I already have.
    Enlightenment would be very welcome!

My MacBook Pro was pre-installed with MAC OS X LION.
That's why. You didn't buy it from the App store.
You can only get a physical copy of it if you buy the OS separately.
There's no reason to need a physical copy unless you are trying to install it on another machine, which you don't have a licence to when Lion is pre-installed. It's analogous to the old gray disk/white disk difference in the old days. Gray disk (comes with your computer) can't install on any other machine. White disk (you buy the OS separately) will install on anything.
If you need to re-install on your own machine, you use the Recovery disk or the Internet recovery mode.

  • Photoshop and Muse showing as installed in Application manager when they aren't there?

Running Creative Cloud apps on Imac system 10.8.3
Probably emerged first with Muse. I tried a few things to fix it including deleting the software. Yes probably stupid bu there seemed little other option for muse. Thought I might deinstall everything (properly) and then reload. This didn't help and now I also have a problem with Photoshop saying it is installed but is not being there...
Application Manager believes software is intalled but they are not there. Possible to reboot the application manager somehow to have it recognise this?
Puzzled, no make that stumped as to how to fix it.
    Thanks

Please go to /Application/utilities/Adobe Installer and double click the uninstaller of Photoshop and Muse to uninstall these software completly from your compter, if you are not able to find the uninstallers then download Adobe CS cleaner tool from : http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and clean photoshop and muse installation completly using Cleaner tool

  • Windows Services don't show as started in Server Manager

Server manager does not show Windows services as being started on one of our xserves - although Samba is up and operational just fine.
Even after re-starting the server after we moved a month or so ago it has not shown windows as being started. Samba came up ok after reboot with no intervention.
    Here's the processes and PIDs:
    xserve1:/var/run root# more smbd.pid
    853
    xserve1:/var/run root# ps ax | grep 853
    8432 p2 R+ 0:00.00 grep 853
    xserve1:/var/run root# more nmbd.pid
    24215
    xserve1:/var/run root# ps ax | grep 24215
    24215 ?? Ss 0:16.63 /usr/sbin/nmbd -D
    8441 p2 R+ 0:00.00 grep 24215
Not sure how to recalibrate Server Manager to recognise that the service is actually running.
    Any clues?
    Thanks,

XServes   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   12 Macs & several hundred too many PCs

That happened to me after the update to 10.4.4 and the issue was that somehow com.apple.smbd got set back to start in launchctl.
To see if this is your issue, run this command
    Code:
    ps alx | grep mbd
You will probably notice that there are not just one each of SMBD and NMBD but one of them has 2 processes. In my case it was like this
    0 10269 1 0 31 0 30664 328 - S ?? 0:00.00 /usr/sbin/smbd -D
    0 10275 1 0 31 0 28464 684 - Ss ?? 0:00.01 /usr/sbin/nmbd -D
    0 10277 10275 0 31 0 28452 184 - S ?? 0:00.00 /usr/sbin/nmbd -D
    501 10284 1959 0 31 0 27820 4 - R+ p1 0:00.00 grep mbd
Your post about smbd.pid being the 'wrong' one is the hint that this is going on.
    So next run this
    Code:
    sudo launchctl list
and if you see in that list this
    org.samba.smbd
you have the same issue. So to stop this I ran a GUI program called Lingon to unload and disable the offending plist (called smbd.plist in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons) but I think you can run the following to do the same thing
    Code:
    sudo launchctl unload -w org.samba.smbd

  • Add-ons don't show up in add-on manager

When I go to Tools > Add-ons, the page does not work in the following ways:
    * Clicking on Extensions yields a blank frame
    * Clicking on Get Add-ons displays "Loading..." and it never completes
    * Clicking on Appearance yields a blank frame
    * Doing a search always finds nothing
I tried following the steps outlined here: (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/941626?esab=a&as=aaq), which are deleting extensions.* and compatibility.ini, but that did not help.

    Awesome, got it fixed.
I followed ideato's advice above, and everything worked. Except for some reason my browsing session wasn't there--probably my fault for failing to copy one of the files properly.
But anyway, that gave me an idea. So in my existing profile, I deleted some extensions that I thought might be problematic from the extensions/ directory and then deleted the following files:
    * addons.sqlite
    * addons.sqlite-journal
    * extensions.ini
    * extensions.log
    * extensions.sqlite
    * pluginreg.dat
After deleting these files, I started my default profile. Firefox found my extensions and asked me if I wanted to install them -- which I did -- and then everything worked fine again.
    Thanks!

    Help!
    ....Alan

    Hi Alan,
Thanks for this information. Can you also tell me whether or not such folders exist here?:
    /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC/Plug-ins/Panels
I've just tried installing those particular products with that version of Photoshop, and this is where they end up.
If the folders aren't there, could you please enable logging as follows and send me the log files at fgregor at adobe dot com?
Create a file called 'ExManCoreLibLog.YES' and place it in the following location:
    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/ExManCoreLibLog.YES
Then create a file named 'ExManLog.YES' and place it at:
    /Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/ExManLog.YES
Both log files are generated and saved in the following location:
    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log
    Many thanks,
    Fraser

  • Can't use Adobe Extension Manager to Install Photoshop plug-in

I am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.
Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator—and I've tried every way I can think of to do that.
Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.
What's going on? What am I missing? Please help if you can. Thanks!

  • My bookmarks folder appears in the Bookmarks menu, but bookmarks do not appear when clicking "Show All Bookmarks." Bookmark Manager appears, but shows no bookmarks at all.

When opening the Bookmarks menu, I see my bookmarks folder in the dropdown and can access them from there. However, if I click "Show All Bookmarks" the manager launches, but shows no bookmarks of any kind. No defaults, folders, uncategorized links...nothing.
As such, I can still use the bookmarks while surfing, but I can't organize, delete, or export them since they don't show up in the bookmark manager.

This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • Important Updates for Illustrator, Extension Manager, and Photoshop - Failure to Install

I have been trying to update my Illsutrator, Extension Manager, and Photoshop.
I have tried about five time using different methods.
Each time I received the following error message:
    AI CS6 Creative Cloud Update
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
    Adobe Extension Manager CS6
Update Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
    Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.1
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I need some giudance in order to have the updates installed.
    Thanks
    Paul

Whilst this may prove to be the only way to install the updates, it reads as though it only takes a few minutes to complete but as others have reported it's a real pain to have to go all through a clean up and then full installation particularly if you have a number of plugins to re-install / activate! Not the best solution and I would have hoped Adobe could have come up with a better solution. As it is I will not be going through the update and will set the application manager to manual rather than have the icon constantly on displayed in the taskbar expecting to update what doesn't work.

  • HT1338 Some Purchased Apps not showing as installed

I have apps loaded on my MBP and some don't show as installed when I log in to App Store and check for updates.

Hope these screenshots explain it better.

  • Cannot download the extension Tych Panel to Photoshop CS5. Adobe Extension manager tells me I'm not authorized to do this.

Very long headline... My problem is I cannot reinstall the extension Tych Panel to my CS5-suite. I've had it installed earlier, but had to reinstall everything on my PC because of a problem, and now I'm told by Adobe Extension Manager that I'm not authorized to install the extension and should contact my system administrator.  I have Windows 8. Can anyone help me?

If you don't see the cs5 extension manager listed on the start screen, you can go to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS5 (64 bit version of windows 8)
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS5 (32 bit version of windows 8)
    then right click on the

  • Changes to PSDs in LR4 don't show up in bridge or photoshop.

I just downloaded ACR 6.7, now tiff adjustments  in LR4 (PV2012) show up in bridge and photoshop when I save the metadata to file in LR4, PSD adjustments in LR4 don't show up. I'm running CS5.

Peggy, your post fixed this problem for me.
My guess would be that the Pages folder in the Mobile Documents folder on your Mac is corrupt. That does seem to happen more with the Pages folder than the other folders in there. The Mobile Documents folder is on the first level of your user library. The user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Move the com~apple~Pages folder to your desktop & restart Pages. A new com~apple~Pages folder should be created with copies of the files from iCloud. If it doesn't repopulate, you can open the copies in the folder you moved to the desktop & again move them to iCloud by clicking on the document title.
Saving the files locally to your hard drive & then moving them to iCloud seems to have less problems with corruption of this folder.

  • Raw thumbnails don't show up in Photoshop they do in bridge

Raw thumbnails don't show up in Photoshop they do in bridge

Since I have to go, I suspect that it is not Photoshop, but Windows 7, whose dialog boxes Photoshop uses.
You can set up Windows to display raw thumbnails using the Microsoft Codec Pack which you get here:
How do I view RAW pictures in Windows 7? - Microsoft Windows Help
Then Photoshop should be able to display them as thumbnails.
