I have a Epson Workfoce 545 wireless printer/fax/scanner and newly installed Elements 13 doesn't recognize the scanner.  Do any of you in this community have a suggestion?

The scanner is NOT present in the network.  The "all in one printer" that the scanner is a part of  is listed, however.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 doesn't recognize my ATI 4870

Hello guys, I have just installed Windows 8.1 + all updates.
After that of course the Photoshop CC 2014 was installed cause I work a lot with my photos.
    Earlier I had win 7 64bit and now win 8.1 64bit.
I have a problem cause PS CC doesn't recognize my video card correctly.
I can't enable "use graphics processor". In windows 7 64bit everything was ok.
I assure you that I have the latest drivers from AMD/Ati site.
Can you help me some how ?
This option is very useful for me cause I use a lot of adaptive wide angle for example.
What can I do in this situation ?

Sure there is. Download/ buy the CC versions from Topaz Labs.

  • Adobe flash player 10.3 is installed but doesn't appear in plug-ins:what else do I need to do to play videos?

Until a few months ago I was able to play videos in e-mails on my desktop computer, running on windows XP, through Verizon FIOS. Then I kept getting the message that I needed Adobe Flash Player 9.0. I have downloaded the latest version, Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.1, several times, getting the message from Adobe that I am now running that program. However, when I try to play a video, I still get the message that the the plug-in isn't installed, and the table of plug-ins doesn't include Adobe Flash Player. Is there something else that must be done to make the (presumably) installed program active? If so, what is it?

Sorry, Firefox 4 is not compatible with Flash for Android.
We're starting work to possibly support Flash for Android in a future version of Firefox. For details, see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Fennec/Features/Plugins

  • Photoshop CS5 Performance Problems with Optional Extension Plug-ins Installed

If you installed any of the Optional Extension Plug-ins in Photoshop CS5 (they aren't a part of a default installation of Photoshop CS5) - we determined that some users have had serious performance issues due way these Optional Extension Plug-ins were installed on Mac systems.
We have created the following knowledge base document to help users determine if they are affected by the use of these plug-ins. The document contains instructions on how to remove the plug-ins and restore your Photoshop prefs:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/889/cpsid_88974.html
Note: It's important to both remove the plug-ins and restore your Photoshop prefs in order to get back to a 'good' state.

  • Unable to recognize AU plug-ins

    All,
I'm new to Logic Pro (v 9.1.3), and I'm trying to get Logic to recognize my installed plug-ins. When I open them in Mainstage, I have no problem recognizing ALL my plug-ins (Ivory, Play, MOTU, etc.). Logic Studio is a different story, however.
When I open the Audio Units Manager, some of the plug-ins have the Logic and Nodes checkboxes checked; some just have the Logic checkbox checked. Coincidentally, those plug-ins that do not have the Nodes checkbox checked are not recognized or loaded by Logic. When I attempt to set the Nodes checkbox, it is unavailable (i.e. disabled). I reset/rescan the plug-in, but I STILL can't check the Nodes box. The plug-ins are valid and installed correctly, but Logic refuses to recognize them. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are probably running Logic in 64-bit mode. Try starting Logic in 32-bit mode first so it will recognise the plugins. Once you've done that, restart Logic in 64-bit, if you so desire, and the plugins should all be okay.
    Cheers

  • Extension Manager CC doesn't see PS plug-ins

    Hi,
I just installed extension manager 7.1 on a 2013 iMac running OSX 10.8.5, but it doesn't see any of the previously installed plug-ins.
How does one get the plug-ins listed?
    Thanks

If you installed EM 7.1 just now, how did you install plug-ins for PS (CC?)? Please note that EM CC only manages extensions for CC applications such as PS CC. PS CS6 will not be listed in EM CC (You have to use EM CS6.). EM 7.1 lists installed plug-ins only if you have installed them with EM 7.0 before and didn't delete database file when you uninstalled EM 7.0. If you installed those plug-ins manually or database file has been deleted, EM CC will not list them.

  • My Photoshop Elements 13 doesn't recognize my Canon PRO-10 printer. I've tried EVERYTHING. Reinstalled all my software, didn't fix anything. Can anyone help?

I have Windows 7 x64 on a desktop PC. I have Photoshop Elements 13. I bought the Canon PRO-10 PRINTER on 2/3 and at first it worked fine. Then I tried to install it as a plug-in in Elements 13, and everything went bad. When I click on AUTOMATION TOOLS it does say "Canon Easy Photo Print Pro" like it should, but when I click on that I get an error message NO SUPPORTED PRINTER FOUND. CONNECT A PRINTER SUPPORTED BY THIS SOFTWARE AND THEN INSTALL A DRIVER. I also tried the FILE > PRINT command which also said there was no printer installed.
I reinstalled the Canon software and driver. Then I called Canon. I got a real live tech person who checked everything out and asked me to print from a different program. That worked fine and he said, the printer is fine. It's a problem with Adobe. Contact them. I uninstalled my Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 and reinstalled it. But the whole situation remains the same. I can't find how to contact a live technician for help so I'm appealing to ANYONE to help me with this. If you can 't help me with the printer problem, can you tell me how to reach a live tech support person at Adobe??

Made editing changes at 4:05 pm.

    Hi,
After talking to 3 different Canon techs who didn't know anything about
this and told me it was Adobe's fault, a 4th Canon tech e-mailed me a list
of the Elements software that is "compatible" with the Canon Pro-10
printer. The list stops at Elements 12! In other words, Canon has not
written the software for their plug-in to work with Elements 13 yet. I
personally am stunned by this. Considering how popular Adobe Elements is,
you'd think Canon would be up-to-date on having their new printer's plug-in
work with Elements 13, which has been out there for some time.
Not only that, Canon's more expensive printer, the Canon PRO-100, also has
the same problem. My friend just bought one and told me the plug-in doesn't
    work with Elements 13.
I have figured out a solution, if it will be of help. I had just
uninstalled Adobe Elements 12 and when I saw that Canon's plug-in worked
with Elements 12, I quickly reinstalled it. Sure enough, when I clicked on
AUTOMATION TOOLS there was the Canon plug-in, and when I clicked on it, the
Canon print screen opened. So I decided I would do my photo editing in
Elements 13, and when ready to print I would open the photo in Elements 12
and print it there. Hope that helps.

  • PhotoShop Elements 10 doesn't recognize my slide scanner

I have a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III for my 35mm slides.  The drivers are updated for Windows 7.  But PhotoShop Elements 10 does not see it let alone recognize it's existence.  My Paint Shop Pro Photo app. sees it and works with it.....as does my old, old Paint Shop Photo Album program.   But not my brand new PhotoShop Elements 10.  It sees and works with my HP All-in-one scanner/printer but not with the slide scanner.  What is the problem here?  Any suggestions?

Yes.  I had downloaded this info. back when I purchased my Win 7  64 bit desktop PC last year and used the updated driver because, of course, Minolta was no longer doing that.  I found these comments regarding the legacy TWAIN driver that is buried in PhotoShop Elements 10 but is not useable unless copied to another folder in the program files.  I performed this action and much to my pleasure.....it worked.  My PSE 10 now works perfectly with my Minolta slide scanner.  I discovered this after I submitted my question to the forum earlier this evening.  AND I really appreciate the answer which validates my actions.  I'm up and rolling again.  Thanks again.

  • Photoshop Upgrade CD Doesn't Recognize Older Version

    Hi,
I have Photoshop 7 installed on an old 2.4 MHz DELL with WinXP. This was an upgrade from Photoshop 5 which in turn was an upgrade from Photoshop 3. I recently got a new computer, an HP running 64 bit Windows VISTA. I want to transfer the Photoshop 7 to the new computer and then erase the old computer. When I put the Photoshop 7 (upgrade) install CD in the new computer, it asks for proof that I own an older version. When I put the Photoshop 5 CD in the drive, the Photoshop 7 install program tells me it cannot find an older version to upgrade from and it refuses to install. Is there a solution to this other than installing Photoshop 3 then Photoshop 5 then Photoshop 7 on my computer?
(At this point in time I cannot purchase the latest version of Photoshop; perhaps at a later date I'll be able to.)
    Thanks!

You're going to have a tough time here. The earliest version of
Photoshop with any support for that system is CS3.
The two things I can suggest is using a CD drive instead of a DVD and
see if that helps or copy the installers to the harddrive and try from
    there.

  • Disable audio plug-ins when starting FinalCut

Because I use Logic Pro I have a lot of AU plug ins, FX and instruments... and FinalCut crash while open because it doesn't recognize some plug-ins. How can I disaeble the audio plug ins when lauching? Danks for your help

Remove all of your audio filters from their folder, and replace them one by one. Launch FCP again and again adding one each time until you find the culprit.
They can be found in Mac HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, and i think also User>Library>Audio>Plugins folder.
Just move them to a separate folder o your desktop util you figure out which one is troublesome.
    Good luck,

  • Lightroom 5.6 Edit in Photoshop CC 2014 doesn't work

I have already referred to the solution posted by Adobe and the 2 solutions don't work for me: Edit In doesn't work in Lightroom 5.5 from Photoshop CC 2014.
When in Lightroom and I click on Edit in Photoshop,  Photoshop opens, but the file never appears. I'm on a fresh new 2013 27" iMac. Last week I installed Lightroom and Photoshop CC, and I'm frustrated that even with a fresh install of everything I can't get it to work. Actually I have never been able to get my Lightroom and Photoshop to work properly, in the seamless manner that the Adobe video demos show. I say that because I have this same issue on my older iMac stations, but it wasn't a major problem as the workaround was to run on an older version of Camera Raw, so that Lightroom would pop up with a prompt and create the file for the catalog first and then open in PS. But now that I'm on a fresh install and everything is up to date, I can't figure out any other means.
Can anyone help and provide suggestions?

None of my "Edit In" worked with the pictures in Lightroom for a particular folder. I expanded the 2014 folder and found that two subfolders had a "?" in front of the 2014-07-04" and another. In other words, the folder was missing. After I found the missing folders using the Lightroom "Find Missing Folder" option, I was able to use the "Edit In" menu item. The 2014 folders weren't expanded at first, so I didn't see the ? marks in front of them. With the missing folders, Lightroom's "Edit In" option was basically telling me there was no picture to "Edit In." Howerver, I have Previews and Smart Previews made when I import picture files into Lightroom. So, the "pictures" showed in the slide strip on the bottom, and also in the display in "expand," but it was actually only showing the previews I had built, not the actual missing pictures in the missing folders. I had accidentally moved some directories using Windows Explorer, and I didn't realize my "happy fingers" moved them outside of Lightroom. Of course, Lightroom has no way of knowing I moved them, and just shows the "?" before the missing folder name. After expanding the root folder, then knew what to do. Fixed it easily. It was frustrating, and took about 20 minutes to see the problem. And that fixed the greyed-out "Edit In" Photoshop CC 2014, and all the other plug-ins were greyed out too.
    Hope this fixes your problem.

  • Edit in Photoshop from Lightroom doesn't work; Automate Photomerge doesn't work

Edit in Photoshop from Lightroom doesn't work.
It opens the Photoshop application with all the menus/windows, but it never opens the actual image I chose to work on.
Likewise,  I also can't automate>Photomerge ...  I pick all the images for the PHotomerge and hit "okay," but nothing happens.   Makes me think it's  Photoshop, not Lightroom, that is all wacky.
I'm on a Mac, using OS X Yosemite, 10.10.1  Lightroom is version 5.7  Photoshop is CS5, version 12.0.4
I uninstalled Photoshop CS5 and reinstalled. No change.  I also tried dumping PS preferences, but that didn't affect a thing, either.

  • Microsoft HD Photo Plug-ins for Photoshop are Released

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hd_Photo
"HD Photo has been announced by Microsoft and the Joint Photographic Experts Group to be under consideration for a JPEG standard, tentatively titled JPEG XR.
"The HD Photo bitstream specification claims that "HD Photo offers image quality comparable to JPEG-2000 with computational and memory performance more closely comparable to JPEG", that it "delivers a lossy compressed image of better perceptive quality than JPEG at less than half the file size", and that "lossless compressed images are typically 2.5 times smaller than the original uncompressed data".
    http://blogs.msdn.com/billcrow/archive/2007/12/06/hd-photo-plug-ins-for-photoshop-are-rele ased.aspx
"HD Photo plug-ins for Adobe® Photoshop® CS2 and CS3 have been officially released for both Windows and OSX. They're available now from the Microsoft Download Center. [Links on this webpage]
"The Windows version is supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista, and works with Photoshop CS2 and CS3. While not officially supported, it will also work with limited features with older versions of Photoshop and with Photoshop Elements. The included README file has details.
For PSE6, I installed it to
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\Plug-Ins\HD Photo Plugin for Adobe Photoshop\
It works properly, as far as I can tell, for both Opening and Saving.
File size and processing speed seem consistent with the claims for the format.

Regular JPEG is capable of high definition (size) images.
The "HD" in "HD Photo" is a reference to the fact that the bit depth can
greatly exceed the 8-bit limitation of regular JPEG. That's primarily
of value in high-quality photo editing, and for archiving originals.

DVD player upconversion is no better than the upconversion built-in to
any decent HD TV; i.e., it's mostly just marketing hype.
