Photoshop CC & Lightroom 5 for £8.78

Yesterday I joined the deal of photoshop CC and lightroom 5 for £8.78. Photoshop CC downloaded just fine however lightroom did not dkwnload at all... I paid for it so I also exlected to recieve a serial number to activate it and some sort of reciet in an email, however I did not, after paying for it I did not expect to be given a 30 day trial, my daughter needs this for college, this needs to be fixed as soon as possible, if not I will be Forsed to cancel the order and find another software.

Adobe's systems supporting CC are a bit quixotic, to put it kindly.  Judging by the angished cries on this forum, Adobe have a bit of tidying up to do, shall we say.
I found that it didn't offer me Lightroom to download for a few hours after I signed up and could get Photoshop, and I may have had to quit the CC app and reboot (do both).  Adobe have about a million databases with customer data, and it can take a day or so for new or changed customer information to ouse across to all of them.
LR should eventually appear in the Adobe CC app "Apps" list with an "Install" button by it.
When you do manage to install it, when you run LR, go to Help menu, Lightroom Registration and click the Licence tab.  You'll see your licence.  Note that number.  In future, if you have difficulties seeing LR in the Adobe CC app, you should be able to download the regular (perpetual licence) version of LR and use that licence number.  So far as I can tell, the CC version of LR is identical to the "normal" version - it's just downloaded in the hokey CC way, and with a CC licence.
NB - I don't think this LR CC licence is the same as the CC licence for Photoshop - which you can see online by going to adobe.com and signing in with your Adobe ID.  (Then mouse over "Welcome, (your name)" top right, click "My products and services", and in the "My products" list you should see "Photoshop photo pgrm", which if you click it, shows a licence number - I don't think this works with LR).

Addendum: I can find this on Adobe's Acrobat DC FAQ page:
Can I get Document Cloud services if I’m an active Creative Cloud Member?
Yes. Many Creative Cloud plans include Acrobat Pro DC with Document Cloud services. Explore Creative Cloud plans.
However, if I follow the link to Creative Cloud plans, there is nothing to tell me whether Acrobat Proc DC is included in any of the plans. My plan is a yearly individual at $49.99/month.

  • Cloud for Photoshop CC & Lightroom - remove other versions?

I have purchased the cloudapps (which I still can't get downloaded) but was wondering if I should delete lightroom 4.5 and Photoshop CS5 (I have the premium suite).  I only have photoshop and lightroom purchased for the cloud, so would keep the rest of the suite that i use (indesign, etc)  but is there a reason to keep both copies of CS5 and CC on my computer?

Tomm303 you may want to keep the old version available if you still collaborate with others who also utilize those versions.

  • I want to buy the Creative Cloud Photography plan that includes Photoshop and Lightroom but I currently have a plan $9.99 a month that includes only Photoshop CC. How do I switch plans?

If you're already on an installment plan for $9.95 per month that includes only Photoshop CC, how do switch plans to obtain the combination Photoshop and Lightroom plans for the same price?
    Thanks,

  • Can i install Photoshop cc + lightroom 5 in two pcs with 1 licence?

I'm thinking on buying the bundle photoshop cc + lightroom 5 for 12,29€ per month. I'd like to know if the licence to this bundle is possible to install in two pcs

    yes.
you're actually licensed for both apps to be installed and concurrently activated in up to two computers but you're not supposed to use both at any one time.

  • Need to rent photoshop month-to-month for semester abroad

Wow, I have to start off my by saying that this is one of the most confusing, unhelpful commercial websites I've ever had to deal with.
With that off my chest, I'm studying abroad for the following 5 months, and I'm enrolled in a photography class that requires me to have photoshop on my computer. My parents are already spending plenty on other costs for the trip, so it's important that I get the cheapest plan available. My instructor said that I absolutely need to have Photoshop CC, CS5 or CS4 (nothing earlier). I will not need photoshop after these five months.
I've literally spent hours on this website the past two days trying to find a reasonable monthly plan, and tonight I finally found a single month-to-month plan that charges a ridiculous $75/month for creative cloud (for that amount of money might as well purchase photoshop/do the annual plan). I only need photoshop. I can't find a month-to-month plan just for photoshop. And I can't find any kind of plan to buy or rent any versions early than photoshop CC either.
    Please help!!!

This is a user forum, you won't find Adobe here, for the most part.  So if your complaint is with the difficulty of finding Adobe products, this really isn't the place to vent it.  If your complaint is with the difficulty of the forum itself - well, it's really like just about every other forum I've ever visited.  Perhaps you're new to forums in general?

I don't know how you've been unable to find it.  Usually most people complain that they're trying to find a standalone version and the website keeps directing them back to the monthly plan.  If I simply google "Photoshop" the very first link, at the top of the page in big letters, goes right to the page where you can license Photoshop and Lightroom together for$10 a month. It's called the Photography Bundle, and you get the latest versions of PS and LR, as well as any of the older versions if you want them.

  • Current Photoshop and Lightroom 5 special offer for $9.99 / month

I want to buy the offer for $9.99 / month (photoshop and lightroom 5), but I purchased lightroom 5 a few months ago (then I still bought it outright).  If I cancel in a year this special offer will I also loose lightroom 5 then????

If you cancel the offer in a year,  you lose PS CC and LR CC in a year.     But if you own LR5, you will still have LR5.

  • Why is my free Beta Photoshop Lightroom asking for a license?

In the nearly daily Flash Update I received an offer for a "Free Beta Photoshop Lightroom" and for once took Adobe up on one of their offers. I figured even though it was a Beta it would be nice to have a free program to go along with my paid version of CS Master Collection. I installed the flash update and recieved no notification that Lightroom had been installed. First bad sign. I checked my applications and yes, it was there, great. I clicked on it and it then asked me to decide to enter my license number or to choose the 30 day free trial.
    Free Trial?
The offer was not for a free trial. It was for a Free Beta version with no mentinon of a trial period. Is Adobe familar with the false advertising laws in America? I am saddened with the direction that Adobe seems to have taken with their advertising and promotional inaccuracies. Had I known this was a free trial I would not have accepted the download. Considering it was advertised as free I want my free light room.
I dont think it is wise for Adobe to be making their long time customers unhappy. Is adobe going to stand behind their advertisement in the updates?
I was told by the chat help that they do not know anything about this as well. How can adobe not know what ads they have with their flash player updates?
I am getting very dissappointed with the games Adobe is playing.
I have to add, that Mohammed in the chat window was very good and patient. Adobe, your slipping and I for one do not like it.

Keith, of course public offerings. I am sorry you do not have the experience of going to a Software site and seeing the offer of Beta software. The largest of course is MS who has offered Beta in a number of different manners. Some with a year time limit others with no time limit due to it being a beta. Many companies offer it.
This is a customer complaint and a resolution should be found and not disbuted because of your personal expereinces that have no bearing on my experiences or your disbelief.
An example of a good helpful post is Vicotria's post. She is attempting to find out what is going on, you and the other guy are provoking an argument, and that is not staying on topic. I dont care that you need proof that I have beta's from whatever source I received them from. I would like to know what happened.
    Victoria,
Thank you for trying to find a solution. The windows are not the same but are similar. Considering I do not have a screen shot, could I have misread it? Maybe. I dont have a screen shot to disbute it. Why I am considering that I misread it is because you tried to duplicate my experience and had appear on two different machines. That unlike the other off color posts suggests I misread it and was not dillusional about companies offering betas and my beta releases on my shelves.
I will take a screen shot from now on when these offers come up. Thank You Victoria.
    PS Victoria,
That screen capture you have is the web page also. The update comes up in its own seperate window on the computer when a new update is available. I have the settings where it will not do auto updates. It will inform me when an update is available.

You need to uninstall the trial applications and reinstall from the CC app.

Does anyone know how well the Intel Iris Pro installed on new 15" MacBook Pros performs using Photoshop and Lightroom?  I have seen some differing opinions out there, and I would rather not shell out the extra cash for the Nvidia if I don't have to. I mostly do photo editing for business and personal use. I have not used the 3D function in Photoshop, but I would like to know that I could.

You could download a trial and see how well it works before committing to a subscription. You get 30 days to decide.

  • What Mac Pro specs are best for Photoshop and Lightroom?

I'm about to cross over from PC to Mac. I've got up to 4 grand to blow on it and would like to spend it as wisely as possible. I've decided to take the Mac Pro route, but am unsure what configuration I should go for to keep Photoshop and Lightroom working smoothly. My image file sizes are usually around the 300 Mb mark but they often rise to 700 Mb or more when layers are involved. My so-called powerful Dell PC struggled with these sizes.
Should I do the obvious and go for bucket loads of RAM and as powerful a processor as possible, or are there more effective moves? For example, would 8 core be a worthy improvement over quad core?
My image library is stored on separate drives so I could hold back on hard disc space. If any wiser head can advise I would be grateful. Just don't make the answers too techy. I'm no computer boffin.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Don't buy a MAC PRO now. New ones are to be released in the next weeks (maybe already today as today is Apples WWDC Opening)
    2. Lightroom and Photoshop can use all processor cores you have. So I would go with the cheapest two CPU Model. As an upgrade by example from 2.26 to 2.66 Ghz (current Model) will cost you more then 1400$ for only 15% more processor power which results in maybe 7--10% faster application perfromance.
    3. Don't buy extras at the Apple store.
    4. For the saved 1400$:
4a. get from a third party provider a total of 10-16 GB of RAM (10 are normally sufficient)
4b. Additionally I would suggest to get 2 fast SSD Disks with 128 GB (or if you can afford it) 256 GB . Put them in a RAID 0 Array. Put your OSX Files and Lightroom Catalog, Caches and current work files on it.
4c. Get two 2 Terabyte Drives and run them as RAID 1 for your pictures.  And an additional 2 GB Extra External Firewire 800 or Better eSata Drive for Backup purposes.
Have fun with a very fast machine.
Additional question: How are your current storage devices connected to you computer: USB, eSATA , Ethernet or Firewire?
If you don't know what some things mean, go to a good 3rd Party Apple Seller who gives you fair prices for upgrades.

  • Download page for trial version of Photoshop and Lightroom Mac OS 10.6.8

Where can I find the download page for trial versions of Lightroom and Photoshop for Mac OS 10.6.8?
It's so hard that Adobe has no contact form, no way I can see to contact them. The help is not helpful to me, it's more like an FAQ. So I'd also be interested in knowing how their customer support is from anyone who has had to use it. They don't have any obvious way to contact them for pre-sales support. When I see that I get suspicious that you will get no help once you hand your money over.

    Hi Wave.watcher.
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
Since you are using Mac 10.6.8 you cannot use the CC version of Photoshop
so CS6 version of Photoshop would be apt for you.
